    not so mini

    Order placed! Thanks OP!

  • we want sarb017 or sarb033 deals.

    • +1

yeah good luck with that, even rrp would be nice

about this watch, the unprotected crown is a bit hmmm

      • I only have two watches, and those are the two that I have.

I didn't know they were so prized? Bought them from massdrop deals years ago. Just searched, and it seems like they discontinued the SARB017.

      • Was just thinking the exact same thing, about the crown.

Almost looks like they’d forgotten it.

        • Looks better at 4 inline with SKX and regular Turtle basic diver's range.

    • we want grand seiko deals.

  • +2

Ooh very nice watch OP :).

  • Case Thickness - 13mm

    • +1

      One thicc boi

    • +2

What do you expect with 200m WR, automatic movement (thicker than quartz) and a grippy bezel? 13mm is normal for a diving tool watch.

  • +2

    thanks OP. got one. :)

  • +5

Excellent price! RRP is $750 here

  • +4

3 year Australian warranty from Seiko Australia is worth a small premium over a grey market unit.

  • that image makes the watch/strap width ratio look wrong

  • Do they provide tax invoice so you can claim GST at TRS?

    • +1

Yes they do. Source: bought a few watches from them before.

      • Thx you

  • +3

Thanks for letting us know, WatchNerd.

  • +2

    Insane price. Thanks!

  • +1

Must resist… I have so many divers already… but I don't own a Seiko diver though… must resist.

    • same here 😅

    • +2

By the power vested in me it is my solemn duty to hereby absolve you of all blame and any residual guilt concerning the essential acquisition of this premium specialist horological masterpiece.

    • Phew… the crown is putting me off that it doesn't have protectors around it. Feel better now. LOL.

  • Good price, but the mini has really offputting proportions :/

  • +1

Good price. Just got my Seiko Samurai from previous deal. Must resist!!

  • Good Price, SRPB99K next please,missed samurai

  • +1

Thanks OP, Perfect for my smaller wrist.

  • I'm waiting for a SBDJ017 deal. Please Watchnerd…

    • This watch is made in Japan right?

      • Not sure you're asking me but yeah, no idea, apparently there are jap made seiko and chinese ones

        • Assembled in Japan and Malaysia. But I'm sure some components would be Chinese

  • +1

I'm resisting … keep on going WatchNerd it's getting warmer :)

    • +2

Give it up, you can't resist nerds, they're irresistible.

  • SNE437P is beatiful too though

    • +1

      I also waiting a deal for SNE437P

  • Should I get this or sea urchin? I like the sea urchin looks plus its only about $150. its like bang for your bucks. What do you think guys? I am new to Seiko so I have no Idea because most of my watches are casio g-shock

    • +6

Is it much better if you buy the one you like not the one someone else likes

    • If you like the sea urchin then you answered your own question.

    • If it's just aesthetics, then get the Urchin. The mini Turtle has better specs and higher build quality.

  • +4

Any chance to get Seiko Blue Samurai deal back?

    • +2

Please no… I was only saved by it going out of stock.

      • +1

Actually I was watching it for the past 2 hours before its sold out…
That basically the time they posted it..

        • Or the black Samurai, been looking at one of these for ages.

  • +2

This is for blokes with tiny wrists. Bring back the blue samurai deal!

    • This watch is 42.3mm in diameter. Mini Turtle is a nickname because it's similar in shape to the larger 44.3mm Seiko Turtle.

      • Without the voucher the Mini Turtle is more expensive than the normal Turtle? I thought the Normal Turtle is retails at a higher price($50USD more than the Mini).

  • 6 inch wrists. Yay or nay on this?

    • +1

The youtube review shows it on a smaller wrist which might help you decide.

  • +1

mini is close to the size of the full size version, think i will be waiting for the full sized turtle, has day not just date and also no cyclops so looks truer to original.

  • Picked up my watch today, looks great!

One question… when initially unscrewing the crown, it's a bit "gritty"… is this normal?

    • +2

Hi @gavt . The first unscrew will be a little tighter than normal and like any threaded item, will ease up. Please get back to us in case of any issues. Thanks.

      • +2

Thanks for the quick reply. Will keep an eye on it and let you know if I have any concerns.

As an aside, big thumbs up for customer service. I changed my order from delivery to pick up and Star Jewels accommodated my request with no hassles!
