      Can't stand them either. I bought like half a dozen watches since I joined this site, and I have never even thought about getting a G-Shock. They just look bulky (most of them) and ugly to me.

        Depends on what you want in a watch. If i wore my Omega like i do my Gshock i would of shed a lot of tears a long time ago. Instead i have a hard wearing gshock that is far more appropriate for most of my needs and still looks like new.

        Actually you cannot be 100% sure some of those arent fake, some of the amazon for sale ones have reviews that say may be fake, its entirely up to you as the buyer to make sure its not fake, its not PJC's fault if you buy a fake watch, do your due diligence.

        Got the casio tough solar AQS810w, been looking for a solar watch, my last casio tough didn't do so well after the battery replacement, wasn't as waterproof as I would have liked. I need something that will never be opened for kayaking, and for sure its gonna get plenty of sun. Thanks again!

      me, reason is there was no huge saving on most of the watches i was looking into to sacrifice the local Ebay seller with 2 years Australian warranty.
      however g-shock is hardly on sale so even small discount can be a bargain to some.

        Two year Australian warranty is not something I'd value highly for a G-Shock. These things are almost indestructible and really don't fail.

      Not me. I like G-SHOCK. So I just skimmed the list for "GWG" or "Q1000" bargains.

      But then again, there's the new Solar GPS model..

        I grabbed the GW-M5610R-1JF back in Feb. Atomic signal works a charm here in Perth so don't think I could justify one of the GPS models.

    Most of these watches can be bought any day of the week for these prices and sometimes even cheaper,eg I bought the gg-1000-1a5 3 weeks ago for $220 delivered and can be had any day of the week for $250 and has a rrp of $599. Aust rrp and what you can source them from legit sellers on Ebay daily are so far apart. +1 for the detailed post but buyers beware not necessarily once in a lifetime deals here

      I didn't notice any while searching. G-SHOCKs are generally too bulky for a very slender male wrist and Baby-Gs are usually too feminine.

        Awesome watch and very popular. I have one, I call it my adventure watch. It's what I wear when I'm bushwalking, working outdoors, mtb or motorbike etc. The glass is recessed, so I can safely wear it on inside of wrist, which is my preference. Other watches, because the glass sits higher than the bezel, you can't do this or they get scratched up.

        I actually lost one for a while, years ago. Couldn't remember what is was and researched again. Bought a new one without realizing it was the same model - my research years apart led me to the same watch. Then I found the original. My partner now has the new one.

        These are popular with the military too.

        I reckon I've got a slim wrist, I'm skinny. Fit isn't a problem (no thought given to it). It is the most comfortable because I can wear it on the inside though.

    My Casio solar powered watch that I purchased from ebay 4 years ago for $37 is still going strong. My watch is a nice size compared to the G-shock range.
