    75N7 for $2,245!

I have the 65N7. Great TV, but having issues with the Ultra Smooth Motion feature. I've put it to OFF but still get weird artefacts when watching select TV shows on Netflix. Is it something to do with 24p and that stuff? Doesn't affect all shows.

    • That’s an excellent price for the 75N7, thank you! Have updated the post to include this.

      Signs of a crap TV

      • +1

It's funny. I switch it to OFF which says it will now play in 24fps. I get artefacts when watching Gotham on Netflix.

Then I switch it to Film mode which says it will now play in 24fps and I get no artefacts. I can manage to sort it out but yeah, not ideal.

Otherwise picture quality is tops. Watched the Liverpool Roma game in HD yesterday and it was fantastic for sport.

        • is this 200Hz, also isnt sony for the same price a deal? … I have a deal waiting at JB

          @sajidmib:

          refer to the comment below:

          Hisense 65N7 vs Sony KD60X6700E
          - The Hisense has the better panel for colour
          - Better motion processing 100hz vs 50 on the Sony
          - Better HDR rating on the N7
          - Better App support on the Hisense as that Sony doesnt run Android
          - You're basically comparing a entry level to almost top of the range Hisense.
          - Sony 1YR warranty + ACL rights
          - Hisense 3YR in home warrranty

To me, the sony sits between the 55N7 and 65N7 (and also quite literally in size and price).

Cashrewards 3.2% back and RACQ members can buy e vouchers at 5% off to bring the price down further!

    • +2

is there anywhere else we can buy e-vouchers for the good guys?

      • +1

SunCorp Rewards also sells TGG Vouchers

        • At a discount and if so how much off? Thanks.

        • @saywhat: according to this post at 6% off, unfortunately I'm not a member, I was just aware that they also sold them.

  • Wow, guys how does this compare to Sony Bravia 60" KD60X6700E in terms of quality ?

          @Hybroid:

          ‘Laggy android’ haha.

        • @corbz: It's absolutely terrible on my older KD55XE9000 TV. Much much prefer the simpler and basic but functional Opera OS. It just works properly.

        • @Hybroid:

I haven't researched this (at all), but find the topic interesting. My Kogan that runs on android is balls. Something like 30-45 seconds to turn on. 1 in 20 times after it boots (into HDMI, we do everything through HDMI) I get "TV app failed to start, wait/close". Is the normal experience for a TV running android better than what I'm getting?

        • @corbz:
It's actually quite true. Obviously I'm not sure if this TV is any better, but mate's Sony x8000c does get pretty laggy. Sometimes the settings menu can take 5 or so seconds to appear.

        • @Hybroid: why is Hybroid getting negative votes his opinion was valid was it not.. there are always two sides of a coin or am I missing something here?

He gave some good points especially with the 100hz one.. if you are not attaching a gaming PC I don't think consoles can utilize it please correct me if I am wrong.

One thing both comments left out though was input lag for gaming and chroma subsampling 4:4:4 for clear pc monitor text usage

        • -1

@nzcoops: Is for a Kogan, get what you pay for, respected brand name engineering vs unknown Chinese brand, has nothing to do with Android

        • @marchi:

What is the unknown Chinese brand in this comparison?

        • @nzcoops: Kogan, Bauhn, etc…

        • @AlienC: 100HZ is more for Movies and Sports by adding in extra frames to smooth things out, Most Gamers turn this off to reduce input lag. Thats probably why he got negged

100HZ is different to FPS also.

        • @solidussnake: ah yeah that's right I remember now thanks for clearing this up

      • Thanks buddy for ur response. Also if you own this, could you please comment on the viewing angles. I read posts mention that screen view is poor when you watch this TV from the sides.

Tells me there is no stock anywhere in QLD…

  • What is the smart TV software like in terms of user interface, ease of use and features?

    • I have the 75M7000 which is last year's model and the Netflix app works really well. It performs better than my 2013 Samsung series 76xx and my Chromecast 2's.

  • +3

Very happy with my 75N7 with good guys. Mainly use the Netflix , Plex app and YouTube app and they work very well. Pictures good. Putting 4k stuff on it is impressive(search 4k on YouTube) User interface good. Screen image quality good.

I am surprised how good Hisense is, as have thought is was like Teac. Guess not. In the 4 months I've owned it, the interface froze once and I needed to turn on and off my TV.

Con: is they don't have a app store to install more apps.

Imho better then my previous Samsung TV smarttv interface.

My purchase with Good guys was ready for pickup by in 3 hours

    HTH

    • If it's Android.. Shouldn't all apps work on it?

      • A very reasonable question.

      • If it's Android then you'd think so. If it's Android TV, that's quite different from Android despite the similar name. There are precious few Android TV apps.

      • it’s not android

    • Does it suffer from input lag for consoles?

    • Out of interest, how quickly does your TV boot up?
Button press to TV image running (or HDMI sourced image running)?

    • chroma subsampling 4:4:4 for clear text when using as a pc monitor?

  • -1

I'm ready to buy the 65" Hisense but the closest one to me is in Ballina which is 5 hours away from where I live in Noosa.

    • drive as for the delivery price you can have 2 tanks of fuel

    • +6

Cool, thanks for letting us know.

  • Damn, no good guys in my area… Come on jbhifi, get on it!

  • Do stores send units to other stores if they don't have it in stock?

    • They should as I got an Aircon through their ebay store and it was delivered to their store to be delivered to mine :)

      • All good got an Airtasker to deliver it for me.

  • I bought another version of this brand tv couple of weeks ago; I had hesitations because CHinese brand, but have to say it's very good.

  • Thanks OP, just bought the 75N7.

  • For those asking about quality. For what it's worth, I've spotted a couple of people complaining about trying to cast from windows 10 to the 65N7 and I would suppose the 75N7 has the same issue. From what I've gathered, the issue started after Microsoft released the Windows 10 Redstone 2 build, prior to that it worked fine. I asked the sales guy at JB if they could demonstrate it working in store before I bought and they complained about how much trouble it would be so I decided not to buy until I had evidence that the issue was fixed.

Could any existing owners please confirm whether they can cast Window 10 direct to the tv? (here's a how to: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/turn-windows-10-pc-into-w…)

    • LOL WTF way to lose a sale JB guy(s)!

  • which is a better model 75N7 or Panasonic Ex-780?

  • Can anyone tell me the stand width on the 75?

  • Darn, nearest store with stock is 150km away. Ah well, maybe I'll wait for a good 55" LG OLED deal instead.

  • Has the 75" ever been cheaper in the past? Curious.

    • +3

The 75N7 no this is the cheapest the 75N5 has been but if you don't mind no HDR and a bunch of other missing / lesser things there have been cheaper in the past, for example.

      • Awesome answer. Thanks so much. :)

        • +1

Nps man I do what I do ;)

  • No 75" stock left in Victoria apparently :-(

  • Just got Harvey Norman to price match! Was looking for a good deal that I could get matched 😀

    • Which model and which store please?

      • 65N7, Chadstone VIC. They didn't have any in stock, so they took the last one from the warehouse; you might not have any luck if you try going for it now.

    • What did you say to get them to price match? Did they match the price after the 10% off?

      • I just showed them the quote from TGG on my phone, and they had no issues matching it. Assuming, that is, if they have stock available; from what they said to me, they were basically out of stock and didn't plan to get more in as it's obsolete.

        • They can't get them in anymore. They have stopped making them and are runout models.

        • @Jules_d1: When new one coming?

        • @RocketSwitch: It's already come: it's the 65N8. It's also much more expensive :)

        • +1

@Philpax: Checked the price for the 75N9, surely there is not $5K worth of improvements in it, wow!

  • Sorry for off the topic discussion. I have one Hisense 55" FHD. Almost a year old now. Has anyone faced lags when trying to switch channels or performing any other remote functions? Is it common with Hisense? I face lags ranging from 0.5 to 2 seconds.

  • How does this TV (and 4k in general) manage normal digital channels E.g. ABC, SBS etc? Does it look worse than a 1080 display? I want to buy a large TV for my parents and they mainly just watch normal tv.

    • i've got the 65N7. i bought it to watch mainly free to air and nba. it's fine for normal tv. i did notice the ball lagging when i was watching the comm games basketball. wouldn't pay anymore then what i paid for it though. was around 1350 from app central.

      • Digital channels or live streaming? You should not have any issues with digital channels. live streaming on the other hand is a mine field of issues depending on displace device, source device, version of app etc.

        • free to air on digital channel for comm games bball. I've never seen this kind of lag before. it struggled to display the ball when it was passed around.

  • Pretty sure i just saw the 75N7 in JB HiFi Castle hill ticketed at $1999?

    • +1

That'll be the N5. Same price on the website.

  • My postcode is 4012, came up as no delivery option and the closest store for pickup of the 75n7 is Coffs Harbour…. bugga

  • Waiting for the Hisense 75” 75N7 to be $1,800!

    You know it makes sense.

    • Yeah. Wait!

    • That's not a lot of money for that machine but with the way trends are going it's going to happen. How good is living in the future.

  • -2

I went to the Harvey Norman in Noosa and they had one Hisense 65N7 left, being used as a demo, and they matched the Good Guys price of $1,345, drive away. It is now resting comfortably in my house. Thanks STUHDB.

    • +2

used and the same price as TGG? Are you serious?

Do you know they turn it on 8 hours a day everyday?

      • Means it is nicely burned in. lol.

3 year warranty will be useful when the capacitors need replacing!

    • Harvey salesman must have loved your business. LOL

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got this 10 days ago and went back and got $410 refunded on the 75” model. Wonderful tv, fast OS, great picture. Plays MKVs straight off USB and loads them very quickly. Dedicated Netflix, YouTube and media buttons on the remote for quick access is great. I can’t say what 4K Blurays look like but 4K YouTube looks amazing. I’ve seen some pixelation around free to air tv and this seems to be partially resolved with changing the picture mode. Free to air tv in Australia is so shit it’s hard to tell if it’s the tv or the quality being broadcast, I don’t watch much so it doesn’t bother me. For the price it’s an amazing tv and also has 3 years warranty vs 1 for the most of the big name competitors.

  • 65 No longer available

  • +1

I bought the 65 after reading ozbargain reviews about 6 months ago - awesome tv - Loads instantly when you turn it on, upscales normal tv to 4K really well, looks great with ps4 pro.

  • oh man that 75N7 is so tempting.

  • Hope they put more stock… looking for the 65 inch

  • 75 inch for 2.3 eh?
Not bad, but what is "HDR Plus" ?

Is it fake HDR or a real proper HDR implementation?

I love my plasma, but it's nice to know something I'd consider is under 2.5k if my baby dies.

Prefer 80 or 85 though :) Maybe 3 more years.

Edit: checked USA, 80 inch is a long way away from being sub 3k.
However 75" could be cheaper, found some VIZIO very cheap, even after Aussie conversion.

  • I’ve got the opportunity to get an 55m7000 model quite cheaply used, is the n7 much of a step up?

  • Damn! SOLD OUT…just pulled out my credit card. Anywhere else I can get this deal?

  • Just wondering if this TV is OK for ps4 pro gaming?

  • 65N7 out of stock! :( Was wondering if anyone has views on the TLC - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-65-inches164cm-uhd-led-lc… or the other TLC - https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-65-inches164cm-uhd-led-lc…

  • Can anyone comment on what 1080p content looks like on both the 65N7 and the 75N7? As good as any other LCD tv out there?

  • Guys this is available in ebay from Video pro at around $1409 with shipping using the recent code. Is this a good price or does anyone sense another sale coming around to beat this price ? I know this is 50+$ more than this post but its not that bad I guess.

  • What are the stand dimensions for the 65n7?
