    Thanks OP… I'm at a stage where now I have to hide the amount of watches I have from the mrs.

    Side note, am I doing something wrong as postage for me comes to 12 usd and not 8.58 usd and I can't use parcel pick up either? Live in Melbourne metro.

    Heaps of cheap Chinese watches on Amazon with decent movements. Reliability is to be questioned, but at these prices, it doesn't really matter, e.g. tourbillons for <$50, when they normally cost in the tens of thousands. Have no idea whether the movements are true tourbillons though, or just marketing spoof:

    I like the look of this one particularly - Affute Luxury Men's Automatic Self-Wind Watch with Brown Leather Band

    I lot of them look undeniably gaudy though

        If you go through that Burei store there's a few other coupon deals. This thin quartz looks alright with the $15 off applied.

        My collection of these mid-priced mushroom brand watches with good movements is getting a bit out of control, but just couldn't pass up a NH36 for 60 bucks

          They are both quartz watches, it says so in the product specifications of the 1st one & the title of the 2nd.

          @WatchNerd: On that topic (slightly), do you know of any similar slimline mechanical watches? Obviously automatics are not going to be that slim with a weight swinging around in them, but an old school mechanical wind up watch would suit.

          There are a million Mumbai refurb watches that look good until you look closely or take the back off - and most of them have acrylic glass.

          @jdf: An auto movement isn't necessarily better, it depends what you want out of a watch.
          Just google quartz v auto if you want to learn about the differences.

          There is no indicator, you just have to read the specs.

    Burei means "impolite" and / or "rude" in Japanese, kinda odd to see that on a dress watch…

    Kana: ぶれい. Kanji: 無礼. Romaji: burei. Type: Noun, な adjective. Meaning: impolite, rude.
