[eBay Plus] Acer XB271HU 27" G-sync 1440p 144hz IPS Gaming Monitor $719.25 Delivered @ Online Computer eBay

750
PROXY

Thought I'd make this a deal as have seen lesser quality Acer predators posted for not much less and didn't want people to miss out on this.

Not to be confused with Harvey Norman's TN panel that doesn't have the correct model number which is XB271HUA

Excludes: VIC Regional, Northern Territory, QLD Regional, QLD Far North, WA Regional, SA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box"

The Acer XB271HU gaming monitor features a 27-inch flat screen incorporating LED LCD display technology. It provides a high definition display with a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1440p, and its design does not compromise on speed, with the incorporation of in-plane switching (IPS) technology. The monitor also includes two speakers for stereo sound. The frame features a black matte finish that sits on a black and red futuristic-style base.

  • NIce find

  • Thanks man, got one.

  • Same one? $677 at HN on sale that's about $42 cheaper
    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-27-inch-predator-xb271h…

edit: woops it's a TN panel

    • +6

How kind of them to use the same model number for TN and IPS. Bet they fooled a few people with that trick.

      • +4

The TN model number is the same but with an A on the end XB271HU(A). They just haven't added the A on title. Someone should really email them and tell them that 😂

Although the little serial number underneath the actual title is the TN number.

        • +1

Roger that. Also, I think this is close to lowest price ever. I found a mention of $712 elsewhere on ozbargain. (I'm not great at finding the lowest price, I search for the item and go through a few pages but maybe this isn't the most efficient way).

  • This, or the Asus PG279Q?

    • +1

They have the same panel. Much of a muchness.
I have the Asus, can't fault it.
Roll of the dice on light bleeding either model you get.

I disliked the red legs on the Predator, so went the Asus.

      • They may have ambient lighting differences. Some Asus have downward lighting in the centre of the stand which I dislike compared to Acer light strip.

Acer is usually understated design compared to Asus.

      • How is your BLB? I got one last week and have a bit of BLB in the top right corner of my screen. Weighing up whether to return it and try my luck for a BLB free panel.

        • I bought mine last year as a refurb unit. No BLB on mine.

      • BLB is just part of the IPS lottery. Same panel, and the QC difference between manufacturers is just anecdotal. IMO, just buy whatever is cheapest or like the look of.

    • They're the same panel, comes down to person preference and price with Asus costing more for the brand.

Although I've read Asus's quality control is terrible.

IPS glow and black blight bleed is a lottery with these panels however so you could get a bad one with either company.

      ^ beat me to it

      • Thanks guys. I bought a PG279Q yesterday for $828, although saw the same comments online with a lot of QC issues.

Had no idea that these were the same panels so thanks for that info. Not sure if its worth refunding and swapping so might just stick with it despite the $100 price difference for the design and build quality of the stand/case.

        • Up to you I guess. Do you use it in the dark much?

      • How is your BLB? I got one last week and have a bit of BLB in the top right corner of my screen. Weighing up whether to return it and try my luck for a BLB free panel.

  • I currently have a 120hz s27a950d samsung monitor with 2ms response time but according to displaylag.com 22ms input lag. Will this IPS 4ms monitor with 12ms input lag according to displaylag.com be better for me in terms of responsiveness? I play all sorts of games but mainly focused on competitive csgo.

    • Competitive you would go for the TN model if you're a pro.

      • +2

Pretty much if you're not getting dosh for gaming at any level take the quality/4ms lol

      • I guess I should say semi-competitive. Not really earning money but playing to win in leagues

        • +1

Go for the ips. It'll look much better than the TN

  • +5

Easily the best screen I’ve ever owned. Built my rig with this as my primary (with a freesync as a secondary, got it for high refresh rate and IPS panel reason) with a Titan card. Won’t be going away from Gsync from now on.

  • +2

I have this and it is great, but if you are OCD about ips glow & BLB then good luck with the panel gamble

  • Anyone think XB271HU plus ViewSonic VA2719-2K (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/390517) with vesa mount would be a good idea for dual monitor setup?

    • Yes, I do something similar with the predecessor of this and a 2k IPS Lenovo and it works great

  • -1

I would stay a miles or planets away from this IPS panel :) I returned 3 for the bad BACK LIGHT bleed and bought the X34 and returned 2 of them as well for the exact same shit.. I have the TN version of it and it is soo much better! No way I would spend premium price for shit quality from 2015. However, the money is yours and you are free to spent it. I will wait for the OLED/HDR to hit the market.

    • I will wait for the OLED/HDR to hit the market.

      How far off are we?

      • +5

OLED will probably be a while yet - until they address issues with burn-in, it really isn't suitable for computer use where there are lots of static elements being displayed

        • Well TVs are OLEDs now so it wont be long from Samsung and LG

        • I highly doubt you would get burn-in for every days use computer and if you game then you have nothing to worry about.

        • @ghost88: OLED TVs have been around for years now, and there's a reason why the technology has not shifted towards computer use yet. And it's not because they can't be bothered: OLED is amazing technology with ridiculously fast refresh rates, perfect blacks and low energy use, highly desirable traits for a PC/gaming display. However, it's the burn in that holds it back - TVs and phones use OLED because they either display a constantly changing image with very few static elements in the case of TVs, or are only typically used for a few minutes at a time, in the case of phones. Have a read of this short article for more information.

  • Any deals on an adjustable VESA mount for this and another 27"?

  • Thank you OP i''ve been waiting for this!!!!!! ordered one

  • +3

This is my monitor and it's (profanity) awesome. Nvidia card owners, get this. You will not regret it, Gsync is rad.

  • Argh damn I just purchased one for $750 on this same sale.

  • Got one yewww, cheers

  • would this monitor be an overkill if I use onboard graphics??

    • +6

      lol yes!

    • It's still a great monitor but you're probably better off getting the ViewSonic deal and saving your dollars

  • +3

paid $800 for mine and love it, paired with 1080 and get over 100hz on almost all games I've played :)

    • fps*

      • fpm*

        • faps per minute?

  • Looks like I missed it :(

    • Temporarily out of stock. 10+ Available again. yay

      • Judging by their feedback they sometimes sell when they have no stock, resulting in really slow delivery or eventual refund. Just an fyi to buyers

  • Any deals for the 24 inch predator model?

  • I have this exact monitor for nearly two years now or so, 110% recommend. I use it with a 1080ti

  • I have the XB270HU. Amazing screen. Love the g sync and viewing angles.

  • "Excludes: VIC Regional, Northern Territory, QLD Regional, QLD Far North, WA Regional, SA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box"

Might want to put that in the description. There's no alternate postage options. I literally can't buy this.

  • +1

Hmm, is this as good as it gets price wise if looking for a monitor that is IPS/1440p/More then 60Hz?
Started looking for monitors and my OCD in me needs two of the same for a dual monitor setup, but don't want to pay over $1000 for the two combined.

    • I feel your pain. I've got a 4k 27" and I'm still hesitant to buy this to sit next to it, still knowing that 4k/60Hz isn't good for half the things I'm doing.

  • As a graphic artist and a gaming enthusiast I've been waiting for a great deal on this beast for an age. Now I am complete. :)

  • +1

Thanks a lot for posting this Jugganautx, I caved and pulled the trigger this morning.

Got into analysis paralysis a bit like others. I decided I wanted a high refresh rate monitor with gsync, 27" or bigger. This seems as good as any other out there at the right price point.

    Cheers,
    Bogrolls

    • You're welcome, hope you enjoy it!

      • Wow overnight delivery to Newcastle area via TNT Express too, all included with eBay plus.

I’ve already got it and only ordered yesterday.

Will have a crack with it tonite sometime maybe.

        • nice, i'm in adelaide. delivery was fast! especially over weekend.

check the manufacture date on box.

if its may 2018 like mine might be a good batch!

        • Yep I was pretty surprised to see may 2018 mfg date on it, not long off the production line.

I thought at this price there must of been an old stock pile laying around.

  • +1

Just got mine delivered! Ordered on the 12th. Awesome. Will report back on the quality. Cant wait to plug this bad boy in.

Edit: Think i've won the panel lottery… no bleed that i can see, never seen IPS glow before but it looks like theres a bit of that{can see my keyboard rgb lights in the reflection). only noticeable from certain angles. Overall pretty damn happy i don't have to send it back:P

  • Did they jack the price of this up? Mine is showing $787.15 with the proxy code?

  • Does this have a power brick or is it a straight cord from monitor to wall?

    • Just a straight power cable

      • Thanks! I ordered one =D

  • god damn it, i waited to long, all sold out :(

  • Ordered 16th, no delivery notification yet… Possibly no stock?

    • Ooo I was just looking to ask someone the same thing, I also ordered on the 16th. When I ordered pretty sure it said there was 3 or even 4 available (don't usually use ebay so don't know how accurate this number is meant to be) and yeah no delivery notification. Have you sent the seller a message? My eta for delivery was meant to be today or tomorrow.

      • Sent them a message this morning, ETA was today.
        No reply so far.

      • Got a reply today, they are on back order. ETA early next week.

        • That's good to know, I still haven't heard from them when I sent a message last night. Kind of beginning to wonder if I am classed as regional VIC though, didn't notice the exclusions when I placed the order, however those exclusions are removed from the current offer so don't know what the deal is. Hopefully the monitors come next week, fingers crossed.

        • Have you heard anymore from the seller? I have not heard anything in regards to the message I sent them, no reply from them what so ever. Wondering if I should escalate.

        • @iTaco: nothing more and still no monitor…

      • When I got mine NSW to SA it came in 4 days… and they only marked the item sent the day it got delivered so yeah.

  • How's everyone finding this monitor ? any backlight bleed or anything ?
