Microsoft is bigger than Apple, they’re the new Microsoft

  • Whats wrong with my eBay account I can never use code with Microsoft eBay. My account is in Australia. I don't get it.

    • Had the same problem before, and again recently. Talked to ebay via livechat and they got it sorted. Problem was with the country when you created the account. Had that changed before, and somehow the problem came back and have to changed it again via livechat.

      • So need to contact eBay via live chat?

  • Based on this: https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-on-windows/accessories/c…

The Xbox One controller is a version that supports bluetooth connection to PC right?

    • Yeah, you just gotta make sure it's the second generation, all controllers sold 'new' will be 2nd gen anyway so basically yes.

      • I don’t think they sell the old ones. Haven’t for ages.

        • yeah, that's why i said anything 'new' is current gen. 2nd gen really made me love the controller, the bumpers feel amazing. Otherwise I preferred ps4 controller every time.

      It's literally in the description:

      Description

Prepare to create, explore and survive your own Minecraft adventure. This Xbox Controller features the iconic green Creeper design, textured grip and Bluetooth technology for gaming on Windows 10 PCs and tablets.

Now 320 feels so expensive for qc35 ! Amazon and Cashrewards set a new low of 260 this thanks giving !

    • +5

      Thanks giving? We're in Australia.

      • +1

        I meant black friday sale

      • Lol… name checks out!

    • +1

No more Cashrewards for eBay now, may by Amazon will follow soon.

      • You can link your Flybuys and use the Velocity eStore portal to gain 1:1 Velocity FFP on eBay purchases, better than nothing at this point.

  • Doesn't work with Xbox Controller Elite

      20% off Select Products

  • Also works with this

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Surface-Laptop-Core-m-…

    Brings it down to $799.20

    Good deal as per usual

  • +1

The controller is out of stock.

  • Want to buy a surface pro but as reviews said the new generation is 70% powerful than 5th gen.

  • Is this a genuine Microsoft store?

    • Yes, every product is linked to MicrosoftAustralia which is their eBay store.

  • Do you get a Tax Invoice with GST component, that I can take to TRS if I purchase through this ebay site.

    • +1

      Yes

      • Thank you

      • Bought the headphones but did not receive any tax invoice. Were they supposed to send a separate email with the invoice?

  • How much better do you guys think surface laptop 2 is as compared 1? Worth the approx 1k difference?

    • The 8th Gen i5 outperforms the 7th Gen i7 if that offers you a guide.

It really depends on what you want to use your lappy for, and what power and speed and storage you need (and what you are prepared to spend for it).

  • Poking around on the Microsoft eBay store I saw this HP omen
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HP-OMEN-X-P1000-010a-Compact-Des… drops to $4000

It is built into a backpack with an NVIDIA 1080 in it! Awesome looking, but I wonder how many are actually sold?

  • $799 for that i5 is tempting. But 4GB RAM is concerning

    • soldered ? non-upgradeable i suppose ?

    • Don't get this. Asus c302 flip Chromebook is better value

    • great if only using for internet and office.

      • Can't do much with 4gb ram and 128gb storage anyway. Might as well save the money and go chrome.
But yeah depends on usage like you said - so I recommend Asus if only using it for internet and office and for the portability.

  • Question, BOSE QuietComfort 35 II Headphones for $319.96?
or wait for a better deal?
    Cheers.

    • I've just ordered mine, i will need to 'see no evil & hear no evil' if there is a price drop elsewhere

  • If anyone wondering about pricematch for qc35 at Jbhifi or harveynorman tried at Melbourne Central JbHifi and Qv Harvey Norman both refused and explicitly mentioned no price match with ebay items.

    • +1

Amazon is now the same price directly, you could price match them.

      • Tried price matching at Harvey Norman online using Amazon but they still refused saying price is significantly lower than RRP.
Wonder if anyone managed to price match the $299 during Black Friday

  • Razer Blade 15.6" FHD i7-8750H/GTX 1070/16GB/256GB can be purchased for $2959.20 which is a crazy good deal.

I just called Microsoft Australia to see if the warranty would still be with Microsoft or if you'd have to go through eBay. The service centre rep completely tried to dissuade me from purchasing off eBay, saying that the product has the possibility of being a "refurbished" product, even though the Microsoft eBay store description says "Brand New". lol.

Does anyone know what the warranty situation is with a razer laptop being purchased from Microsoft eBay Store?

    • It’s with Microsoft. If you bought it from a Microsoft Store in a Westfield the warranty isn’t with the shopping centre.

      • That conflicts with what Microsoft Store's rep said over the phone. That wouldn't be the first time I've received wrong info from them though.

        • I know people who bought Razer @ the MS store and were able to take it back for a swap when early issues developed. Not sure what happens after the replacement period expires.

Every other Razer story I've heard involves tears and shipping off to overseas for an uncertain fate. Would not buy, no local support basically. Known for spotty QC and that's a LOT of heat to squeeze into a 15" chassis. Agree for the price its OK if you are hell-bent on mobile AAA gaming, otherwise, a XPS 15 would be sufficient (1050Ti vs 1070, ~500 cheaper for a weaker GPU that is still perfectly OK for 1080p medium and you get a real onsite warranty). Disclaimer: I own an XPS 15.

    • $3K is a good laptop price?
Max I would pay would be $2K for a laptop.

      • For this particular laptop, I haven't seen a cheaper price. Not saying $3k is a good price for a laptop generally. With Razer, it's luck of the draw.

  • Every time I see the XBox controller deal I run the numbers to see if it's worth buying and every time I come to the same conclusion! There are so few games that seem to support local co-op/split-screen - it's not worth it. Especially as I have an PS3 to the side (for which controllers are cheaper).

    https://www.co-optimus.com/system/24/xbox-one.html

Those enthused about local co-op/split-screen gaming seem to have been forgotten by the present-generation XBox and PlayStation. Not that I suspect high-powered executives from Sony and Microsoft are hanging out reading lowly-ranked OzBargain comments…but you never know.

    • For PC its pretty much the default choice, everything works out of the box, and the on-screen prompts match perfectly. Also works with Android phones seamlessly.

HTC Vive for $751.20 isn't historically lowest but still pretty good: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HTC-Vive/172682604520

  • Controllers are back in stock.

  • i7's are sold out. Great deal but. Thanks

  • The processors are all 7th Gen. Very nice design and finish but at that price you can get 8th Gen processors..

    • Tech specs
Display 13.3 in Full HD IPS LED touchscreen (1920 x 1080),
Processor Intel Core i3-7100U 2.40 GHz
      Memory 4GB DDR4 2400 MHz
      Hard drive size 256GB SSD

  • What realistic difference am i going ti see between this one and the surface book2 with the same processor.
Assuming both have the same ram?
