Just picked up this bundle for $199
Their site says add both in the cart to get it for $349
But when added together it comes to $199


Please note: both racing wheels are compatible with PC platforms. The difference is in the consoles they support. Refer to Logitech site for more details.

    Went to pick up my Click & Collect order at 4:45pm expecting to be told about the order being cancelled, but surprisingly they handed over my order no questions asked.

    • What? I was there at 4:30pm but they said they will not honor the order. Should i send them an email and file a complaint?

      • Did you receive an email notifying you of a cancellation?

        According to their own terms of sale section 7.3:

        7.3 Where JB Hi-Fi cancels your Order after acceptance it will send you an e-mail notifying you of cancellation.

        Since I didn’t receive any cancellation email, as far as I’m concerned my Click & Collect order is not cancelled. And as I understand it, a written agreement can’t be modified verbally.

        I went in prepared to make this argument but turned out I didn’t have to.

      • Paid via PayPal credit card so they better refund the same method. Haven't seen a cancellation email yet though so wait and see.

  • Ordered and opted for delivery assuming brother would be home to accept delivery today. Found out brother not going to be home and was regretting not opting for pickup (funnily enough) Toll eventually calls to confirm delivery later today and I explain the issue and agent reschedules for Monday. Then all this goes down and now I got a long weekend ahead wondering if I actually get it. Ahhhh geez first world problems.

    For those of you who picked up this wheel, I used to have one before I upgraded to Fanatec gear and I can highly recommend replacing your brake spring with the GT-EYE one (you can find them on eBay for about $30 from memory) and then use the old brake spring in your clutch.

    The clutch will feel a lot better and the brake (now having a stiffer, progressive spring) will be night and day better and you will never go back.

    If the bug bites you, get ready to pour $$$ into your rig as you start to go for high end gear. Soooo good but sooo expensive.

      I had a G27 on a Next Level GTUltimate Racing Cockpit V2 from Pagnian. I sold it as it wasn’t getting used as much as I wanted to and the G27 was only for PS3 and not PS4 so the games were not current gen to keep it my exciting.

      I just purchased the G902 for XBOX ONE as I believe the Xbox racing games are more fun and better in my opinion to what Playstation has to offer currently

      Now do I buy another Racing cockpit? Hahaha oh dear what will the wife say ;(

        Wow haha that cockpit looks very cool! How much did you end up selling that for? Still a bit of coin I'd imagine… Here I am trying to work out how to build my own shitty stand lol

        • There's some pretty decent stands for cheap. I have a Fanatec Rennsport here somewhere, which is solid (and heavy) as a rock and takes up very little room. I used it for years and would easily recommend it.

          Nothing compares to a real cockpit tho so start saving hahah

          Thinking about the new GT Track, I wish they made a Xbox Version as they do with the PS version

        Don't tell her! I don't. I earn the money, I pay all the bills, so she doesn't get a say.

        My rig owes me about 7 or 8 grand by now and I only really play 3 racing sims.

        I have a XB1 as well but I don't race on it at all after racing on PC. There's no comparison, PC is another level for racing sims.

        So PC for racing only and everything else on console for me…. bar a couple of VR games.

                @Twisty: I've never owned next level but the Rseat is a step or two above I think.

                Motion is awesome, but VR is what changed everything for me.

                In order of things to get (aside from pc) , I'd say:

                VR
                High end pedals
                High end wheel (fanatec csw or podium DD)
                Cockpit
                Motion sim

    • G29 series rectified this and added progressive braking. This mod is only useful for g27 and 25.

        I know it's better than the G27 but that little rubber stop is horrible and not progressive at all. Removing it and upgrading the spring is 1000 times better. For such a cheap and easy mod, it's a no brainier.

    When I noticed this expired I almost cried, have been on the lookout for a bargain for ages!!
    I can rest a little easier knowing a few scored this epic deal, before the price error was fixed.

    It looks like they have cancelled the G920 wheel but still intend to send me the shifter for $79… yeah, great.

    • Is it possible to just return the shifter back to the store for a refund also?

    Got it! Ordered the G920 by mistake and they swapped it out. Almost thought I was done for as they weren't sure how to process it. Got the G29, thanks for posting, OP

  • Crazy price. I got the G920 plus Forza 7 for $271 a couple of years ago and thought that was good. Also paid an extra $50 for the shifter

    Well i got an email saying the wheel was sent, including auspost tracking saying its at perth airport. The shifter is still listed as processing. When i check on my jbhifi account, it says the status of the wheel is "shipped" and the shifter is cancelled. If they havent sent the shifter ill put through a paypal dispute and they can refund me for it. The invoice lists the wheel as $120 and the shifter as $79 so thats fine with me i guess.

      Judging by the comments plenty of people from here were able to receive their orders at pickup and judging by the price compared to other sellers this was a pricing glitch so I don't know what you expect really. I don't think there was a supply shortage.

      Nah you’re buying subject to their terms and conditions, which provides them with the right to cancel the order for a pricing error, prior to them delivering stock. They haven’t accepted payment where they knowingly couldn’t supply the item. It’s just an error in their system not a breach under ACL.

      I wish it were.- mine was cancelled too. Ordered early on, got the sms 10 mins later saying it’s ready, left it for a few hours and thought I’d go grab it on the weekend - then got the call.

  • Anyone got proof of collection, receipt or something with date/time stamp on it that I can try and use to show people have been able to collect?

      my advice would be to be as disagreeable as possible. jb pulls in 10 billion a year, and theyd rather lose 100 bucks than deal with an angry customer

    • There's no timestamp on my pickup collection slip.

      • Name checks out…. So do I, and I didn't even get my item! They reversed their decision post me taking the item before I could leave.

        Now I'll no doubt be in a battle to get my money back on top of wasting time to go pick it up.

        • To be fair I think you will have no issue getting your money back. You should have been more demanding and walked out when you had the chance, if they lay one hand on you that is assault and anyone within shouting distance should have known. Best you can push for now is a refund and a store credit, considering you drove all the way down there to pick it up! Depending on the kind of person you are, you might have driven 1 hour down there with your 6 year old son who was sooo excited to use it!

          I do feel bad for you though mate, I was stressing that a similar thing would happen to me picking up mine

  • Lucky to miss out on disappointment of the cancelled order. Click and collect wasn't available for my postcode and I decided to pass. Phew!

    My delivery order was just cancelled. I received an email saying I would get a refund in 3 days using the original payment method.

    From the email:

    "A full refund will be processed back to your original payment method.

    Please allow 2-3 days for the refund to appear on your transaction history. In the event that you used a gift voucher to pay for your order, a replacement e-gift card will be issued to you via email with 2 business days.

    We understand that this sort of thing is extremely frustrating and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."

    Managed to pick mine up easily.

    Ordered 1:55pm and got confirmation to pick up at 2:07pm. No phone call to cancel so I rocked up at 5:45pm and managed to pick one up. No mention of price errors or cancellations. It's as if the staff were not aware but mine had been set aside with my name stuck onto it sitting in the pick up cage.

    • Is your order on the JB website marked as cancelled? I ordered one for click and collect and it's been marked as cancelled but ought try to grab one tomorrow.

    Ordered two, one for delivery and one for pickup. Get a call from the pickup store saying my order was cancelled yet no mention of refund. Rang up later and they said the refund may take several days. But I seem to recall once having an order cancelled from JB and they instantly refunded.

    Hopefully the delivery one doesn't get marked as cancelled.

    Finally got an email saying my order was cancelled and i will be getting a full refund, but I also received an email saying it was sent. when i follow the link for tracking, it says its on its way and will be delivered tuesday. I wonder which it is. Maybe ill get my order and a refund? :)

    Rocked to the store and I was just about to chat with one of the staff about my 'click and collect' purchase….and my phone rang. Had no idea who it was but I let it ring out as I wanted to get the wheel.

    Asked the girl at the counter if I could pick up my order…she asked my name and what the order was; it was sitting at the end of the counter.

    She called the manager and said that I was here (after confirming my name). Waited five minutes and then the counter girl was called (I guess by the manager) and told 'let him have it'.

    So, I got it.

            • @Justcuz: I received an email with the subject "Order JBxxxx is awaiting carrier pick up". Next to each item is a "Track your order" button which took me to the AustPost website.

              Current status of my order is "Completed" on JB HiFi website and "Shipping information approved by Australia Post".

                • @Bippz01: My order arrived this morning. Interestingly it said two parcels, but looking at the tracking history the second parcel was never collected, so I think they may have put the shifter and wheel in the same box.

    • Cathay Pacific will be around for the next decade not sure about JB Hifi so can't compare a dragon to a worm.

      • JB HiFi is about a third the size of Cathay sure but is a more profitable business with 3.4% net margin against 2.5 for Cathay. Furthermore, JB is consistently profitable and growing where Cathay has operating losses for two of the last 3 years.

      … It was a price error mate.. It should've been 349 + bonus shifter… At $120 for the wheel, I reckon that's below cost.
