Not sure the expiry of using the licence code - it's not clear on that…. And I've personally just added to my amount when I get it as it uses up my previous code first.
But if you aren't going to use it soon, usually this does pop-up at least once a year. I've paid around this price by waiting each year for the 20% off with a seller that doesn't price jack. Set up an OzBargain search alert for "office 365 home" (or personal if you only need 1 licence).
Oh and use the double quotations in the search alert or you'll get lots of unrelated notifications 🙂

To create a search alert, search for what you want the alert to be about (e.g. "office 365 home"), then after you run the search, a ! create alert is under the search bar - click on that.

Not legal license. They are basically reselling you a seat in their enterprise subscription. Which means they will have access to all your data, email and anything else you choose to put in their. worst possible way to get a pirated copy.

It is an enterprise account. They can reset your password at any stage they feel like it or simply grant themselves access to your onedrive and email account. This is not a stand alone account, they appear to be giving you an account within their tenant.
or worse still when MS realise they are breaching their licensing agreement you will simply lose access altogether.
PS: and of course it is a cheaper deal than retail, pirate/illegitimate licenses always are as you aren't actually getting a real license.
PPS: it is also not for 5 people. They are giving you a single 5 device license with a total of 1TB storage. A standard home gives you 6x5 device licenses with 6TB storage.

You can also use the free online versions of Word, Excel etc.

I have free office 365 to through uni but my Hotmail account is reaching it's 15gb limit. I'm currently paying $3 per month for extra OneDrive storage, is there any other way to increase my Hotmail storage without purchasing this ?
Your uni account should have a 1tb or unlimited OneDrive. Just use that for free?

I am not aware of any way to directly increase the storage of your main account. You can give your main account access to a shared folder (will full rights) in one of the other accounts however.
Could try StableBit CloudDrive to create six 1TB drives, then Stablebit DrivePool to link them all together. Chuck in a few box/dropbox accounts and have so much storage you don't know what to do with it all.
