i7 9700F RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming PC [16/480/B360]: $1799 + $29 Delivery + Free CoD @ TechFast

2090
9700F-2080S-480

Hi all,

As you may have noticed we don't often do Intel deals so this could be the one you've been waiting for. This build compares well to the 3700X | 2080 Super deal for $1899, or the i5 9400F / RTX 2080 Aldi Killer for $1998 from a couple of weeks ago, albeit with lower base specs. And the PCPartPicker build for this spec comes to $1989 ✔️

Note that this system has a new case - the Thermaltake Versa H18. This case will replace all Leaper Pro's for the time being as our shipment has been delayed, but this will not be permanent, so if you want it, get in quick.

Spec: Core i7 9700F | RTX 2080 Super | 16GB 2400MHz | 480GB 2.5" SSD | B360 Motherboard (Biostar B360M HD Pro2) | 750W PSU | Thermaltake Versa H18 Case
Price: $1799 + $29 Delivery with 9700F-2080S-480

We looked at the 9700K as an upgrade option and decided against it, but if people are keen I can add it as an upgrade - it would also require a 240mm liquid cooler which is possible in this new case. Let me know and I'll get it listed.

AMD CPU more your thing? Check out our 3500X deals:
Budget: GTX 1660 6GB: $636
Mid Range: RX 5700 8GB: $899
Mid Range: RX 5700 XT 8GB: $1049
High Spec Bundle with 27" Monitor: RTX 2080 Super 8GB: $1649

Deals ending November 1 at this stage so don't miss out! No guarantee on pricing either way (up or down) come November.

Cheers
Luke

As with all our deals, we work with a variety of suppliers, brands and models to achieve the deals and pricing particularly on the base spec components, so we can't guarantee or take requests on what any one customer will receive. However, the motherboard will almost certainly be Biostar B360M HD Pro2, the base RAM likely from Crucial, Team or G.Skill, SSD will likely be from Lexar, Crucial or Team, and GPU we have been using for the vast majority have been and is likely to be from MSI (Ventus) or Galax.

  • 480GB 2.5" SSD

    Is this NVME or SATA?

    • SATA

      • Sadface :(

Is there an error in this listing ? Because I followed the link and the price is $300 higher than quoted here at $2099.

Misleading & confusing to find actual price significantly higher :-(

Just need to enter the discount code 9700F-2080S-480 (posted here in the deal) at checkout to get the price.

  • Hi,

    What a great deal!

This looks like exactly what i'm looking for!

Just a question about the Windows. It states it is pre-installed but will require activation to unlock 'full' features. what does this actually mean? Does this mean the extra $169 is for the Pro features and for everyday gaming and browsing use you will not need this? Also if i was to format the computer how would i reinstall windows if it is pre-installed?

I know its a noob question, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    • It’s preinstalled but you need to purchase a key or get it from another avenue. If you wipe the pc you can just download windows again.

    • We preinstall Windows 10 Home but do not activate it. The PC retains the majority of functionality but reminders will appear to activate it. It is not recommended to run the PC without Windows activation forever, but we allow customers to purchase the Activation key from us, or elsewhere if they prefer. If you were to format the PC's drives you would need OS installation media to reinstall it, such as USB or DVD, but bear in mind this PC does not have an optical drive you would need an external (USB) optical drive if you wanted to run a DVD.

      • Ahh i see, thanks for that! May i ask what brand the keyboard and mouse is? is it the standard logitech ones? Thank you

        • It is Allied, an entry level membrane keyboard and wired optical mouse. We're working on gaming spec peripherals but don't think it will be this side of Christmas.

          • @luketechfast: Thank you very much sir. I will have a big decision to make tonight :) Hopefully for the better.

            Have a good day!

  • I'm still waiting for a deal on a New PC without a GPU :(

    • We don't currently use any CPUs with integrated graphics other than R3 3200G. What are you looking for?

      • My current PC is old but I have a 1070 GPU which I want to carry over. I noticed on your site there's no option to remove the GPU on the builds.

I'm looking for something powerful i.e. 3800X but no GPU.

        • Ah right. It makes testing and warranty too complicated for builds unfortunately.

  • Any possibility for another Intel 2080S deal before the Modern Warfare promo ends (18 November)? Kinda busy right now, would like to possibly purchase in a week or two.

    • Will depend entirely on the sales of this deal! Hard to say.

  • I'm curious why the requirement to upgrade to z390 for the faster RAM. That effectively makes a RAM upgrade from 2400 to 3200 cost $269 + $59 = $328. That's absolutely nuts. I mean sure there are other benefits to a z390 board but people may never use those benefits. It's this plus potential delays that have sent me looking elsewhere. Your systems are fantastic value at base spec but to spec up slightly the prices are terrible. By the time you bump everything up you're within $200-$300 of a local PC shop. It's usually not $328 for a single minor upgrade so that's an extreme example, but damn!

As for the cases, going back to a horrible case to save $10-$20 on the cost of a build is not a good deal. It's good that you took on the feedback and at least offer an alternative but it's another thing that's overpriced when you upgrade.

  • What sort of volume is this build. My current PC is about 3 years old but is nice and quiet

  • This deal or the previous one with the 3600?

  • Hey all,

I was wondering if someone would be able to explain to me why it says $1799 +$29 shipping HERE, but when I go to techfast the base price of the rig is $2099?

Also it'd be cool to know the brand of the components going into the rig as well.

    Cheers,

    Remy

    • Have you used the code in the description?

      9700F-2080S-480

      • I figured it out about 10 minutes after I posted this hahaha. Thank you though!

  • How much extra is the i7 9700k plus 240 cooling?

    • $99 for CPu, $149 for cooler so $248. I can invoice for the upgrades after the system purchase.

  • hi, how can the ram be upgraded to 16gb?

    • It comes with 16GB 2400MHz RAM. On the website there are options under the Memory drop down menu for faster and more RAM.

  • Hi Luke -

Do the unused OEM mobo parts (e.g. the second M2 NVMe standoff+screw, additional SATA cables, etc.) come packed with the system? Just in case I want to put in a second M2 stick or HDD later.

    Thanks!

    • Yep,whatever comes with the mobo and isn't used is included in the accessories box.

      • Great, thanks!
