saved the code to my account, hopefully can be used in future?

    • Yes till expiry date

  • +4

What's the point of using Uber Eats if you have to pick up? I'd rather call the restaurant and they'd take my order…

    • Useless tbh. That's why my locals (eg. Maccas etc) don't turn on pickup since they are pretty much giving away money to Uber Eats. Not that they are losing money with any Uber Eats order anyway

    • +5

Easy view of the menu items, don't need to rely on restaurant not answering phone or writing down order wrong, if the food or service is subpar then you can go to Uber about it, Uber promotions and discounts, better accountability and order tracking (ie avoid where you get to the restaurant and they say they never received your order. ?

    • Isn't it similar to what eatnow/Menulog offer?

  • +2

can't get it working here in melbourne, it just says "no promotion applied" even though I applied it and it says 4 promotions available.

    • Pickup not available in Melbourne

      • how do you know? just curious cause i spent an hour looking for the pick up option hahaha

    • Im in maidstone and it works

  • Can't find any pickup on the desktop uber eats for Perth

  • PICKUP5 is also a valid code that works, you get $5 off.

  • +3

Was trying a few other codes:
PICKUP50 worked for me (50% off order).
PICKUP70 was also a potential code but I wasn’t targeted.

  • Not working for me. Never Ubered anything before…

    • If you are a new user, why not use one of the new user codes?
Also this is on pick up only (not delivery).

  • It appears they have limited the code to new accounts & US addresses for pickups now.

  • I am lost. How to use pick-up? It allows me only delivery

    • +2

It's been answered many times now. Look.

      1. Are you on app?
      2. Are you in a trial city (eg Sydney)?
      3. If yes, change up the top or at checkout.
  • -1

I checked this out but it says promotion only valid in the US

  • Still works

  • In our area no pick up
    Eastern suburbs

  • +1

Note - this will likely not work for Melbourne customers..

Sydney users have an option at the top of their app that lets them choose between pickup / delivery. This does not appear if you're in Melbourne.

The codes are meant to only work with pickup orders. If anyone has instructions which gets around this, I'm listening :)

    • I second that. Doesn't work for Melbourne. Keen to know if there is a workaround. I dont get it even if I add Sydney address. Thanks

    • +2

yep, same with me, melbournite here

cant get the pickup option to appear (what a disgusting feature btw, basically no different to the customer just phoning the store to do a pickup order, and yet ubereats takes their 30% cut without offering any value add)

plus it doesnt work for delivery orders

will definitely never ever use the pickup feature unless it allows me to get the food cheaper

    • Can confirm that this does not work for Melbourne customers. Tried everything - app and desktop.

  • Nvm - restarted app and my pick-up orders are pending for tonight :)

    • how do you do that? I tried and the restaurant cook the order straightaway

      • +1

When you set your address, there should be an option at the very bottom to schedule date/time

  • +1

It is better if people put Sydney in the title. waste lot of time.

  • Worked for me in Perth last night.
Scheduled a dominoes delivery for Thursday, 10 mins later my free pizza turned up πŸ˜‚
    Lunch today instead!

    • +1

Reheated Dominoes cardboard - any regrets yet? :)

      • Haha always better cold πŸ˜„

  • Still says Jan 1st expiry for me, but there's a very small number of stores I can pick up from today (Sydney lower north shore). Haven't looked at pickup before so no idea if that's normal.

    • +2

It’s normal to have reduced offerings.

  • Thanks op! Shame only 2 places in Newcastle allow pickup

    • Yeah, got thai last night, it was a bit eh but free so oh well. And technically only 1 place in Newy. The burger place hasn't allowed pickups yet. It's on the list though so I guess soon.

  • Remember you can pick up anywhere. Change your address if need be to view more restaurants.

    • Actually not every store has the pick up option, only some.

      • Correct. But those people saying there's nothing in their area should change the address in the app to view more restaurants.

  • I can't seem to find the option to pick up hrmm

    • Same, everything I choose says "pickup not available" so no deal as far as I can tell.

      Im in Sydney CBD.

  • So can anyone confirm - are these working on deliveries in Melbourne? I thought some people are using them for delivery? I have applied the codes and they are sitting in my promo page but havent tested on anything.

    • Pretty sure now only works for pick up. That means us in Melbourne won’t be able to use these codes.

    • +1

Not working for delivery in Melbourne at the moment. And looks like u can't pick up in Melbourne from what I can see

      • -1

Thought it was all about pickup to begin with?

  • This is awesome! Makes Pizza night a lot cheaper!

    Thanks OP!

  • Used pickup15

  • There's very few times I wished I lived somewhere other than VIC, but this is one :(

  • +2

Myself, the Mrs & daughter all just had free lunches from the local chicken shop, quite easy (all ordered on our own apps). In. SA.
Used the $15 credit and the $10 and $5 codes are still active for me even though it says 'first pick up only'.

  • Scheduled a lunch today with pickup15 last night showing $0 to be paid, but still got charged $15 via paypal just now. Not happy :(

  • My orders were cancelled by the restaurant.

Had to give the business to a different restaurant…

    • Same thing happened to my mate, due to pick up my order in an hour. Lets see what happens

  • Kimchi pork belly rice for lunch. πŸ†“ πŸ˜‹

    Got it

  • I used all three codes today for breakfast, lunch and bubble tea - ended up paying $3 out of pocket. It was a good day!

  • I checked this last night added McDonalds delivery to cart applied discount and it took $15 off the price. Im in Melbourne.

Today i went to actually order it and the discount will not apply. :(

    • -2

It has been said multiple times and in the deal itself that it is pickup only.

It even says "Seems to exclude Victoria"

      • I realise that. I can read.

Like I said, it worked last night using mc Donald's delivery in Melbourne.

        • +1

Eh I'm too full of almost free food to argue.

        • +1

          Same boat as you.
Discount appeared reflected in the total last night, but would not apply this morning

  • Every store I'm checking has delivery available but pickup not available… I'm in sydney, anyone else have that problem?

    • At the top u can choose pickup tab to show only places that offer pickup.

  • Thanks OP.
Worked in Gold Coast QLD, for both my friend and I.
We both used PICKUP15 and PICKUP10 each and got 2 meals each from it.

  • My account says "United States only"

    • but the details of the offer say

First time Uber Eats Pickup order only. Valid in Australian cities where Uber Eats is available. Valid to 1 Jan 2020.

  • Thanks for the deal. Dinner and lunch sorted.

  • can anyone in melb get any of the codes working?

I cant seem to get teh pickup feature working
nor do the codes even though they say "applied"

    • any luck??

      • when the code first came out, I did a mock order for delivery and it applied correctly, but I was going to order later,

now, the codes all say "applied" but dont subtract anything from the order,

        have tried a few stores,

not too fussed, but it would be nice for it to work

        • Same for me. I applied the codes super early, and got them 'without conditions', but I'm trying to use them now for delivery, and it says that they've 'applied' but they're not working :(

  • This worked for me in Canberra last night, picked up a free burg. Still have the 10 and 5 vouchers.

  • Has anyone got this to work in Victoria (Melbourne)???

    • Apparently VIC is excluded. Sorry bud

  • All the codes worked for my mum's phone but she doesn't want any food.. Might try edit her account to my name before placing some more orders. πŸ˜‚ free food for days!

    • +1

Do you have to show the restaurant your phone? In the past I have picked up food using menulog and just told them I am collecting for my wife.

      • Yeah, seems like an easier way cheers.

  • Yew free lunch.

  • Has anyone tested if these work in NZ by any chance? Going there soon & would be great if these work over there!

  • +7

After adding PICKUP15 codes, Pickup tab appears, for Victoria

    • Nice. They have only just added that, earlier today pickup wasn’t available.

  • Got $30 worth of food from Singaporean place. Thanks OP

    • +3

That's a long way to deliver!

      • +1

        that's why chose pickup
        well worth the journey lol

  • Pickup is now available in Melbourne!!!!

  • +1

    Can confirm works in victoria

  • Yes. Working in Vic now. "Pick up" tab option available at top of app previously wasn't there.

    • Yeah, however so many places dont accept pickup.

      I dont blame them.

Ill be using my freebie code and then never again

  • -1

Thanks! Used both codes just now πŸ€ͺ

    • can use all 3 codes for total of $30 off (15 + 10+5)

      • Can you stack codes? I could only choose one promo at a time…

        • +2

I made 3 orders one for $15, one for $10 and one for $5 all from same place and picked them up together (used all 3 codes)

  • +1

Thanks OP - worked now In inner west Sydney - placed 4 different orders - dinners and lunch for next few days. Also used up the targeted 70% one first and then worked down to lowest discount.

  • +1

This might be a stupid question. Other than using these discount codes, what is the point of Ubereats pickup ? You are paying 2-4 dollars more than normal ring the place and order or just drive and order over the counter and pickup yourself. Am I missing something?

    • +3

Hello again from other thread: well I'll speak for myself, I only use uber eats in general when I have a huge discount code- I've made 30+ orders so far across the months without paying more than $3 out of pocket for any single order lol

      • How lol

        Multiple accounts?
