  • Disregard, same model number, different processor and storage.

    • Officeworks' one is not a Full HD laptop.

  • Guys is this better than Thinkpad E595 ?

    • +2

Each laptop is designed for different uses. This HP laptop is more portable and has a touch screen provided with a pen which might be useful for some people who want to annotate documents or take notes.

  • Besides being $59 cheaper, anyone knows how this compares to the Acer spin 5? Harvey Norman also have Acer spin 5 on sale at $838 (supposedly $560 off). https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-spin-5-sp513-53n-55w9-1…
Similar weight, both 2 in 1’s, both FHD screens (but Acer is 13.3”), both 8GB ram and both 256ssd, both have pens etc. The Acer says ram is expandable to 16GB ram, I’m guessing (maybe wrong) HP’s ram may be soldered. Mainly curious about build quality comparison and any difference in backup support if/when any issues arise.

    • According to Crucial website at (https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---C…), this HP laptop can be upgraded to 32GB RAM. Acer laptops appear to have a better screen brightness. In general, the quality of Acer and HP laptop brands is usually hit-and-miss.

      • Cheers, sounds like HP wins. Is there a PC that’s not hit and miss with these specs (not heavier) in same price range?

  • Is it worth paying an extra $178 to get this one as opposed to the Lenovo IdeaPad S145 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/508601)? I am just buying this as a gift for a light PC user.

    • Screen resolution.

    • I have similar question. Which one to buy?
This HP or Lenovo which is on special for $599?

      Thanks

  • Is this only valid for today?

  • I keep looking at laptops, would like an everyday quiet pc but why is this only 1.6GHz? seems slow to me

    • Take a look at Dell Vostro 7590 with i5. Very, very quiet.

  • +1

HN link said: You just missed it !

  • Did anyone buy or they realized that it was a wrong price.

  • Will it be back soon?

  • Went to Local HN store to get this one but i was told its OOS and will not back in stock. Very disappointed.

  • On 2nd Jan 2020, Harvey Norman wanted to cancel my online order for this product made on 26/12/2019 due to their out of stock reason even though they took my money out on the same day (26/12/2019). They offered me an inferior alternative product or a full refund. Of course, I've asked for a full refund. I cannot trust their online products for sale anymore as their selling practice is really bad. I don't know whether their online stock management system is incompetent or they don't care about their customers.
