I personally have one of these on a B450 Mortar Max Mobo and they are excellent for heavy workloads. I need the cpu cores and ram for VMs and this CPU has handled what ever I have thrown at it.

      If you can wait, just wait… AMD price drops much much quicker than Intel….

      For example, intel 6700K which was released in 2015, you can still sell it for about AUD$300 now…But for AMD, 1 year means almost 40% price drop..

        AMD have also been making larger generational improvements as of late which renders their previous gen more obselete compared to Intel, as Intel's generational improvements have actually been quite minimal for the last few years.

              @naphman: Considering an un-named GPU destroyed 2080 TI in OpenVR benchmark, they are also coming for the best gpu titles. Intel and nvidia are shaking in ther boots. Intel is almost already obsolete.

        Thanks for your opinion! As good as this deal sounds like, everyone's complimenting on it. I haven't heard the other side of the story. Currently on an E3-1241v3 and just wondering if I should upgrade soon-ish. Will just hold onto my wallet for now as I'm still stuck on ADSL2.

          Honestly it's a great CPU for multi-tasking and other high core/thread using applications like video or photo editing. I enjoy mine. The only thing i've not enjoyed is that it does run warmer than i'm used to however mines sitting well below max allowed temp even at 100% load (i use watercooling however but at 100% load it sits dead on 72c and max allowed is 95c, all the while my GPU still gets max boost as water temps are low still..it's just a warm chip).

          Not sure how it'd go with the stock cooler as i imagine that could get noisy, but if you run any aftermarket cooler it'll be fairly quiet no doubt.

        6700k only works in motherboards that came out at the same time and for allot of people its easier to put in a quick easy CPU to upgrade then it is to buy a new board, cpu and ram..

        With AMD you don't need to buy a second hand CPU because their new chips work with old boards so the prices of the OLD CPU's don't hold onto their value at all.

            @Diji1: LOL… sorry i dont mean to be rude but 1151 6th and 7th gen motherboards DO NOT SUPPORT 8th and 9th gen CPU's

            So 6th and 7th gen intel prices on EBAY are sky due to all the people with 6th and 7th gen motherboards with slow CPU's who want to upgrade

            an i7 7700k goes for $700 new on ebay for that reason even though a $300 Ryzen 5 3600 crushes it in everything even gaming.

            lots of people with pre-build OEM systems really want to upgrade without changing computers from the looks of it

        You gotta also keep in mind that only recently supply caught up with demand. For about 4 months after release, most vendors couldn't keep these 3900x in stock despite the already inflated prices. If you missed out a batch, pretty much your only option in that period was to buy it off of scalpers.

      I think you should jump on it. Because intel is so far behind AMD now, AMD have less incentive to push out newer desktop chipsets. No point shooting themselves in the foot. This is why they are promoting their laptop CPUs at the moment. I think the AMD price drops will be less steady from now on until/if intel does something

        Yet they are continuing to push, ZEN 3 has already been confirmed for release. I think later this year or next, I forget which.

        If anything AMD prices will drop because they will outdate themselves before any real threat from Intel.

      I've messaged them a couple times on eBay and they replied pretty quickly (<1 hour). The volume they sell in, I don't blame them for not answering the phone. Probably don't have the time for it, based on how small the store looks.

      They were actually very helpful with me during the last sale with my 2070S. Sunnybank store gave me contact details for the warehouse and I rung the warehouse about me picking it up instead of waiting for it to be shipped. They said they'll have to check if my card is due as they were overwhelmed with orders; got a call back in like 15 minutes to say they have found my card for me to come collect. They couldn't provide me with an invoice when I went to collect since it's not printed yet but said they will email it to me. Didn't see an invoice for a couple of weeks so I messaged them via eBay and on the same day they emailed me my tax invoice.

      I get everyone's experiences may be different but for me personally it was overall very positive.

      Bought from FTC back in Nov when they had the 2070 Super on sale, took about 2 weeks to arrive in Sydney, packaging was okay.

      No issues in my opinion, considering the deals they offer I can understand the delay in shipping.

      Confirming as above ebay code still works on 19/01

      And they literally updated it again the morning of the delivery with a Go Express tracking number instead.

    Ordered the 2070 Super, 2080 Super, 3900x and X570 board from FTC on the 16th, got it yesterday on the 22nd.
    Less than a week from order to door, i think thats pretty darn good.

    Packaging of the items were a bit lacking but luckily nothing was damaged.

      I ordered an Aorus 2070 super in the morning on the 15th (before the deal was even live) and it apparently hasn't been picked up/dropped off.

      I'm starting to think that FTC is just creating Sendle orders before they even receive stock to deflect blame onto the courier for not picking it up.

        As mentioned above, they provided me the sendle tracking first but it got changed to Go Express on the day of delivery

          That seems pretty normal as sendle isnt really a courier. They refer the work out to other couriers like auspost, fastway, go express etc.

    I am also waiting for my CPU, I'd be interested to know how many people have actually had these sent.
    I did get the tracking number for Sendle, but that only shows that it has been lodged, however it has definitely not been sent.
    When I messaged FTC they advised they hadn't sent it and they were working through the large amount of orders they received. That was on the 24th of Jan, I had messaged for an update on the 3rd of Feb and I'm still waiting for a response.

    How many people are experiencing the same issue?

      I asked where my order was and they issued a eCheque refund 5 days ago, just was let know by PayPal that they couldn't recover the funds from their bank account. They're broke.

    So they never sent mine. They marked it as sent via Sendle but never dropped it off at the courier. I contacted them multiple times and got 0 replies. Went through the official Ebay channels to try and get the item, no luck. Eventually at day 28 wen through with the refund. They should be banned from Ebay. They should be forced to pay interest on my money they have been holding for a month.
