    • Same issue here

  • does this mean November Shop small wont be happening this year?

    • +2

Hard to say! Unless of course you know someone in American Express marketing department

    • +4

More worried about Vogue night at this point - hopefully still get the deals without the events

      • Vogue Fashion night is usually around 1 September.
Might still go ahead after this Shop Small finishes on 31 August.

  • Haven’t received it on any of my Bank owned Amex cards yet.

    • None here too.

"Offer available to eligible Card Members only. Please log in to your online Account to see if you’re eligible for the Shop Small offer by 31 August 2020."

      So it's targeted?

  • Nothing yet.

  • nothing here either

  • I think it is midnight WA time.

  • +3

    Open.

  • Just saved offer..

  • Strangely it hasn't shown up my one of my supplementary cards, but it did for another supp and the main card (Velocity Escape).

I also have a supp that is attached to someone else's main account, and it showed up.

    • Showed up on all three of my supp cards (2x Velocity Escape, 1x DJs Amex)

  • Working on my cards now too.

  • +1

    Please add targeted to title.

    • +1

      Try now.

    • Agree. This isn't available to everyone.

  • On my primary card saved, but not available for my supp’s. My supp’s are registered to a different online account. I wonder if this is what’s caused it? Anyone else in similar boat?

    • Nope; on all my supp cards which each have their own online account

  • +1

    Any manual sign-up link?

  • +2

It is being rolled out right now. I checked my cards 30 minutes ago and there was no offer. Appeared about five minutes ago.

    • Yup, same thing here. Appeared on my main and two
      Supplementary cards :)

  • +1

Just arrived on my primary and supp card.

  • Wasn’t there on my wife and my cards and crossover supplementary cards are 6:15am. Checked again just before 7am and was available on all. All 4 cards are now registered.

  • Logged in, nothing. Checked again 4 or 5 minutes later, it was there

  • Looks like it's love now. Got it on Qantas discovery.

  • Only got it on 2/5 Qantas Ultimate so far

  • Got it on Westpac AmEx Black

  • +2

The offer was not showing on my card when I checked at 6:00am. I checked again now and it’s showing. So worth checking your offers again

    • +1

      I checked at 6:00am

      True OzBargainer lol

  • +2

Have received it on all primary cards but only half of supps.

  • +3

Some things just don't change. The shop small map was always bad, this year it is the same.

    • Agreed. Why doesn't Amex just provide a list of participating shops? It would be much easier to find the shops you like

    • Last year there was a google sheet that had all the shops in a much easier to read format… I wonder if that's been updated.

  • the link to shops doesn't work. it tells me shopping center address in app. how do i know which shop it is??

    • +1

Mine was showing the address of my local Coles and Woolworths in the save to card area (website). Of course these are NOT part of shopsmall. I chatted to Amex and let them know about the glitch. Confusing and might prompt a few complaints if they don’t fix it.

      • -1

You sound like you haven't ticked the Shop Small map filter …

        • +1

Not talking about the map. They are showing in the offers area while logged in. Leads you to believe Woolworths is related to the shopsmall offer

        • the map filter i m trying to access on computer is also broken for me. not sure y. i am just getting shopping center address and which leads to nothing.

  • All 8 cards received shop small offer about 1 hour ago. In the morning around 6 am, I checked none of cards got the offer at that time.

  • how do u setup a supllementery card with a separate login?? to recieve multiple of same offers ??

    • +1

Apply for a supplementary card and register it for Online Services …

  • Got it on my card and sups, and my dad's card and ups which is a total of 7 cards. Wasn't available on any at 1AM AEST but the offer was there for all of them at 9AM.

  • Got it on all 5 cards. Remember to spend the cards every now and then to ensure these promo are applicable.

    • All my supps stay in the safe until shopsmall/other good offers/events. Never used otherwise.

  • +2

The map is working like it does every year…

    We’re having trouble loading results.
We're sorry, but it looks like something went wrong. Please try again.

Lots of 500 errors in the browser's console.

    • use the link in the op instead. amex link is broken indeed.

    • Didn't work for me in Chrome but was fine in Edge

  • +1

Some stores that have 'shop small' logo on it don't even accept AMEX!

    • +5

      Dodgy; report them to Amex

  • Only have it on the main card still, 4 supps nothing.

  • +1

Nothing on all my 15 cards.

    • +3

15 cards but nothing? That sucks

    • Is there any tips on how one manage to get that many cards?

      • +1

        Yes:
        1. For the dog
        2. For the cat
        3. Partner
        4. Yourself
        5. Goldfish

Second Amex card same configuration and partner an Amex with same configuration.

      • +1

Or you can have it like
        - Oz Bargain
        - O Bargain
        - Mr Oz Bargain

        • I was asking a serious question … Just really curious, as wouldn't the credit file gets hit many times?

          • @wildstone: And my answer was serious. Clearly I’m not going to use my actual name as an example …

And no, because it’s a supplementary card, not a new account. I have three Amexes and one supplementary in my name (the other two supps are in my dad’s name). I opened my first one in 2013 and they say that on my primary Amexes, but my supp card with my first initial and surname, rather than my first name and surname, says I opened it in 2020. Hence why people can open them for their dog and cat

    • Are you sure you have enough XD

  • +1

How the hell did Chemist Warehouse, Hungry Jacks, McD, Dominos, Nandos etc figure on this list ?

    • +4

They are not included. The link on this page takes you to a map showing all businesses that accept AMEX. If you click on filter there is a box that filters to display shop small only.

      • Sweet - HJ still shows as a Shop Small in my area. Time to stack with phone is fine vouchers.

  • -1

One positive out of the economy tanking.. pizzahut, hungry jacks, subway are now considered small stores.

    Gerald at xx:xx, Jun 10:
I’d like to inform you that the Shop Small Offer enrollment starts at about 6:00 pm AEST. I’d request you to kindly keep a close watch on your online account / Amex App and enroll for the offer as soon as it goes Live.
    Gerald at xx:xx, Jun 10:
You don’t have to worry, this year the Shop Small enrollment cap has been increased to 300,000 , compared to last year (118,000), due to the popularity of this offer. So you will have a fair chance to enroll in this offer.

    I hope they are right!

    • +3

They told me the same last year and it never happened, it is targeted offer

      • Exactly! I said that to him that I was told the same thing last year to try again later during the day…

    • Inconsistent time give to me:

'I’d like to inform you that the Shop Small Offer enrollment starts at about 5:00 pm AEST. I’d request you to kindly keep a close watch on your online account / Amex App and enroll for the offer as soon as it goes Live.'

Seems they are making this up as they go along.

      • +1

        Just like last year!

  • Thanks! Got all 3 cards! Need to think where to spend now

  • It appears quite a few Oporto are on on the shop small list? Someone mentioned it here and was surprised to see quite a few (but not all) listed with the shop small badge on them. There are still some Oporto locations that don't have the shop small badge though.

    • Aren't most Oportos franchises, so they sort their own eftpos contracts and whatnot? (as opposed to McDonalds who manage payments for all from what I remember)
This is probably why some are 'Shop Small'

      • Yeah that's right, it's just surprising as they have never been on there before, well not in SA anyway.

  • Lots of businesses not on this year in my area.
Not much to use it for this time. If I was closer to Melb it would be better.

  • Has anyone had some sub cards with the offer and others without, all attached to the same primary card?

    Cheers.

    • +1

      Yep.

    • Yes. Amex Velocity Escape. Main card has it, two sups have it, one doesn't (although it's set up in the exact same way as one of the other sups).

  • Offer popped up only on a few supp cards but not all.
Not sure what’s the logic behind

  • +4

This might be stackable with the other Pablo and Rusty offer for $10 off. Possible to get 500g of house beans delivered for $9.

  • 15 cards and 2 offers….awesome

  • Anyone have a manual enrolment link like before where you entered the card details?

    • Or maybe ask customer services.

  • Anyone has the manual enrolment link?

    • No manual enrollment link atm. I've spoken to the customer service.

      • In the past there is. I wonder if I shall give it a try. Sometimes it depends on who you speak to.

  • Got the offer on all my cards. Not too sure what to buy though…

  • +1

Has anyone completed a transaction and received a tracking email yet? I've made 3 transactions already but no emails yet.

    • +3

I don't think Amex send qualifying e-mails ant more.

Source: people using the Pablo & Rusty's offer, as well as personal experience with the Supermarket offer.

      • +1

Now that you mention it, I didn't receive an email a few days ago for a statement offer I usually receive an email for every month, even though the credit appeared the next day

Also I no longer receive emails for the 5 bonus points for $1 spend at food delivery services as of a couple weeks ago, the last one I got was 26/5, since then I've used it a few times with no emails.

      • That's interesting. Everytime I use my card at Coles I get an email saying I've redeemed the Supermarket offer. Usually before I've even left the checkout area.

Will have to wait and see - maybe they're waiting to roll out out Shop Small to all cards before turning on notifications.

        • That's interesting. Everytime I use my card at Coles I get an email saying I've redeemed the Supermarket offer. Usually before I've even left the checkout area

When did you last receive an e-mail? I shopped at Coles and Woolies a week ago and didn't get the e-mail, so I assume this started happening from June 1 onwards

          • @kerfuffle: huh - you're right. I received an email on 1 June for my 1 June transaction but didn't get one for 2 June or 5 June. I guess we'll just have to wait until a credit is posted to the account.

        • May I ask which supermarket you are referring to? Thanks.

    • I did one at Oporto a couple hours ago, which was listed with the filter applied, with shop small badge, but no email yet either.

      • +1

I've done two different stores with two cards so we'll see how it plays out I guess.
