    • +5

If it's from AusPost Online Shop sure thing :)

    • got this. Thanks, hopefully tracks soon enough. :)

    Woolies eGift cards included?

    • WGC wouldn't be included.

    • Do we get 3.75% for Amazon $50 gift cards?

      • Nope. 1.5%?

        • But that's on top of the $5, so essentially 11.5% if buying $50 gift card? And Amazon gift card might earn another cashback in the future too when using it, so not a bad deal

  • +19

I'd be very wary of using this. It's been a couple of months since I've used SB but I had large orders not track.

Might need to set up screen record to prove you've done the steps properly.

    • +6

Yep. Sick of the ongoing routine of sending purchase details and the eventual telling off by the reps.

    • I've been using shopback for over three years I think. Never had a missing transaction but once and even that was fixed.

  • +2

only chrome? can we use other browsers? firefox?

    • Only Chrome.

      • +1

Just to add on to avoid confusion, you can use other browsers that use Chromium software, but you need to use the extension from the Chrome store as linked above.

    • read the last T&C

  • +3

done. ordered the Amazon gc from Australia post.

  • How long should I expect to wait before it tracks on Shopback?

    • +1

Depends on the store, but usually we allow up to 2 days for many stores. Just refer to the "Tracked In" figure under "When will I get my Cashback?" on any store page. For example Amazon it is up to 4 days.

      • Ah oops, I meant Auspost, which says 2 days. Thanks!

  • +4

I just bought the Amazon gift card on auspost and received this message

    Your order hasn't been finalised.
Your recent order: xxxxxxxx is on hold while we review the payment details. We'll be in touch once the review is complete.

You'll be notified of your order status with the next 2 business days. Your payment will not be processed until your order has been approved. Approved orders will be processed and dispatched as soon as possible.

    Will this be tracked properly?

    • +6

      Should be okay.

        Me Three
        :(

        • +1

          Me 4

        • Looks like the problem appears if you pay with a credit card as I made a second order with paypal and it is fine.

      • Did yours get tracked? Mine's not tracked and the card I used still shows the payment as pending. But I received a tracking number for it already.

    • Same. Never had this happen before and I used the same payment details as previous times. Fingers crossed it tracks okay.

      • +1

I suspect their system is flagging this as they probably sold more gifts in last few hrs than they did in the entire yr.

      • I ordered last month and had the same message. Could be a new standard idk

    • same. Mine didnt come on as tracked in the click history, i hope it will track

  • This product is not eligible for regular cashback, is it? As it's Kitchen category? https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00JT8ZYCS

    • +1

Correct that this isn't eligible for regular cashback. As it isn't eligible for regular cashback it won't be eligible for the bonus either.

  • +1

Why does it take so long to add the cashback?

The $5 bonus will be credited as Pending into your ShopBack account by 30th September 11.59PM AEST.

    • +1

Yes understand it takes a while, it's a manual step for us but we do this later once there's validation happening for your orders.

    • +12

So that you ideally forget about needing to raise a missing cash back request by then.

  • Damn, spent $79 at Dyson earlier today.

    • I feel you!
I spent about $120 at Chemist Warehouse last night :/.

  • Woolies E-Gift Card?

  • How do you uninstall the old extension? Do you juts right click>manage extensions>Remove extension. Will that get rid of it?

    • +1

Yes you can do that, or type chrome://extensions into your URL bar. From there, just scroll down and find the relevant extension below V6.0 to remove. Here's a screenshot.

    • What about an in place upgrade? Does the old version have to be installed first?

      • If you don't have the old version you can ignore the uninstall step and just install the new version right away.

        • What if the old version was not uninstalled, new version was installed and purcahse was made - does that count?

          • @sssbp: As long as the purchase was made on the new version and not the old one.

We've put the uninstalling step in first to reduce the likelihood of people unknowingly going through the old version rather than the new version.

  • Damn just bought something on eBay yesterday…

  • Can i shop at bws or danmurphy using egift card to qualify for 5$ bonus?

    • +3
      • BWS orders are not eligible for the regular cashback if paid for by gift card, so no.
      • Dan Murphy's orders are still eligible for the regular cashback if paid for by gift card, so yes.
      • Hi, only got $3.49 cashback registered for an Amazon purchase that was $372. The customer rep I spoke to the day before I got it, said it would be 5% cashback for the products I wanted and I've been given just over 1%. They still haven't replied to me…

        • Give the team up to 24 hours on a business day to get back to you but if you don't hear back, feel free to send a follow up email + PM me the email address you used to reach out.

  • +2

Edge too? Using the same extension, chromium engine.

    • Like to know as well.

    • +4

      Yep that's fine.

  • +1

Bummer, just missed out on this by a couple of days where I bought eligible items!

  • +1

Do purchases made using Chrome + v6 Extension on Android/iOS phones count?
My laptop is being repaired atm.

    • Yep that's fine.

      • Never mind, there's no option to install the extension on my mobile via Chrome.

  • What about browsers that use chromium? (e.g Opera, Brave, Microsoft Edge)

  • can I uninstall the extension after made the purchase and still be eligible?

  • 'Apparel' is the same thing as 'Clothing' right? The former is a category in Shopback but not Amazon.

    • Yes that's correct.

  • Just candled my order form this morning! Got the new extension.
    Hope it comes through!

  • +2

The $5 bonus will be credited as Pending into your ShopBack account by 30th September 2020 11.59PM AEST.

    Coming back here October 1st:
Did anyone else not get their bonus $5? … you know the usual ShopBack comments

  • +1

What if items on ebay/Amazon are bought using gift cards. Will those count?

    • +2

      eBay

Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method

      Amazon

Cashback is only payable on order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs) and is valid on orders paid for with gift cards (not orders with Amazon credit)

      • Cashback is only payable on [Amazon] order value (excludes taxes, shipping and packaging costs)

Ok, this is where I got caught out last time because the deal specifically states:

(including GST, excluding delivery and other fees)

        Can you clarify?

        • Sorry for the confusion. We've copied this from our store page and it means the regular cashback only applies to the pre-GST amount.

If you spent $50 at Amazon, the regular cashback is paid on the $45.45 pre-GST amount. You will still get the $5 bonus in this case of spending $50.

  • Would clicking from Shopback site invalidate bonus?

    • +2

Yes. Make sure you only Activate Cashback via the extension.

  • +1

what's updated in the new version of the extension?

  • Hi OP,

    What category is this:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B01N6GD9JO/ref=ox_sc_ac…

Amazon says "computers" but ShopBack doesn have a "computers" category.

    Thanks,

    • This would be PCs at 5%.

  • +1

    Good deal. Thanks ShopBack!

  • +1

If I buy multiple items in the same currency from ebay Australia, will that count as multiple or a single transaction?

    • +2

Single transaction if you pay for it all in one go.

  • -1

Does it track immediately ? I bought from Auspost but shopback does not record

    • +1

Tracking won't be instant - as above it can take up to 2 days to come through. We did make a purchase and it tracked after an hour or so.

  • +2

Superb. Got another $50 ebay card from Auspost.
    Thank you!

  • +1

Awesome deal. Ty gotyourback and Shopback

  • Good deal, as long as my clicks are actually recorded. Still chasing my cash back for hostinger 45% off deal. Second time it hasn't worked with hostinger

  • I’m sure you must have a reason for this, but why can’t you just upgrade the old plugin in place/automatically?

It seems like a great way to significantly reduce your customer numbers because a % of them won’t upgrade.

    • -1

One is that we had to unify/merge our extensions for all our other existing markets into the one, so that's why we couldn't get it happening automatically with the existing Australian extension listing. You're right we won't be able to shift everyone over, but we just have to accept this disadvantage with combining it all into one.

  • +7

Done, Amazon GC from Auspost tracked within hours.

Welcome back SB, competition is good.

    • I didn't realise there was cashback on Amazon gift cards again!

  • Thanks OP!
Made an AusPost order with the new extension.

  • +1

Caved in for a Ryzen 3600…. Can't really justify it as benefit will likely be marginal for my use case pairing with a RX580. Time to sell my good old Ryzen 2400G. Hopefully the resale value holds up.

  • +2

I did step 1… then realised the deal expired. I guess I'll wait.

  • eBay purchase still hasn't tracked, normally happens overnight. Has anyone else had tracking succeed with eBay?

  • No tracking for Amazon $50 GC via Auspost either, besides the normal 1.5% cashback ($0.75)..

Click activity showing "Ozbargain exclusives" clicked, but no dice so far on this deal, states will be applied within 2 days..

  • +1

has not tracked for me either with auspost eBay gift card. They’re both in click history 19mins apart, even the 1.75% cashback has no tracked for me :/

    • +1

same here, I put in a claim but nothing still..

      • +1

Auspost never tracks for me it seems

  • -1

Didn't track for me either, will avoid these shopback deals in future as it's very hit and miss

  • I made a $50 Amazon GC purchase via AusPost online shop like everyone else - 75c tracked within hours.

However, the $5 bonus still has not shown up - is this normal?

    • +1

This is what I've been told:

The $5 bonus will be credited as Pending into your ShopBack account by 30th September 2020 11.59PM AEST.
