You might as well wait for the RTX3000 series at this point. Announcement on the 1st of September

    • +11

3000 will be here before these units arrive anyway

    • -5

Production of the 3000 series is heavily delayed. Once it does release there will be massive stock shortages.

I don't think we will see these cards generally available until Jan/Feb of next year.

      • +2

Do you have a source regarding delays?

      • +1

weird… where'd you see that? from what i've read AIB's have mentioned they'll be able to have stock on release date… or shortly after

    • Do you think the R5-3600 will bottleneck the 3080 and 3080ti?

      • +1

        Too early to tell.

      • I have 3600 and 2080, generally the 3600 is more likely to be the limiting factor for 3440x1440 res. Its not at all bad, but if we get 20/30% more, yes the CPU will increasingly be a limiting factor.

        • That's interesting.. I have a 3600/2080 super and 9700 (non k)/2080 super and seem to get slightly more or equal fps at 1440p (130-140fps on mixed high/low settings) on warzone with the 3600 (which was really surprising given i thought the 9700 was the better gaming chip).

Using the same trident neo 3600hz ram. b450m/z390 mobos. everything else the same

Not sure if it's due to warzone itself processing better on a ryzen

Again this is one game and doesnt suggest neither 3600 or 9700 is the bottelneck but thought i'd share

As always love the builds and the prices.. But the only case option is a leaper again ? When will you be getting the corsair, MSI etc back in stock ? Hell get a bunch of the NZXT 510's and offer people different colour options.

The Air Maxx is a new generation of Leaper. Many steps up from previous variants - full mesh front, PSU shroud, full length tempered glass, 240mm rad support, RGB 120mm fans with hub, 2 x 3.5 drive slots, much thicker steel, and premium foam packaging. There are nowhere near enough of any other cases available in the quantity we require, believe me.

If you want a prebuilt then i guess it's an OK-ish deal. But with component prices dropping these days, these deals are not as good as they were previously.

there B550 upgrade is $179 lol

      • +6

Well to be fair, the b550 upgrade they offer is a MSI mortar (which retails at $~250).

  • +4

Speccing out the same thing (as close as I can get) with everything from Shopping Express except the PSU which has free shipping from Centrecom is about $66 cheaper. Pretty much the exact same for the 2080 Super, but if you're lucky enough to see it for $999 again then a bigger saving. $66 is a decent build fee for the 2070S system though.

Is this price including shipping from from SE vs Techfast?

      • +1

I checked just now. $22 from SE vs $29 from TF. Good catch. Brings the margin from $66 to $73.

        • +1

          Great work as always Rajeh!

  • My mate would buy if you did Express

    • +1

Will keep it in mind. Definitely offering more TFExpress systems as they've been popular, but keeping them balanced in amongst our regular models is important too.

      • That's true Luke but in light of the RTX3000 series announcement on Sept 1st, don't you think it's important to run the stock out now?

        • 3000 will take a very long time to come into any sort of supply so 2000 Super will be around for a while. New launch supply is always very low at best, and my understanding is NVIDIA are bringing launch forward at least partly for financial reasons, which means stock will be even lower than normal. I don't expect 2000 prices to drop too much and 3000 will come in comparatively higher, especially at the top end.

          • @luketechfast: I guess it's all rumours and a guessing game for everyone in the industry at the moment.

I hope for my case that your prediction is wrong lol I'm hoping to cop a 3080TI for under $2000 and also hoping it will work with my TF PSU/build that I got in March from you!

  • If the turn around time wasn't 3 weeks (14 business days) I would probably have bought tbh, but with new RTX lineup I would hate to have buyers remorse whilst my order hadnt had shipped yet. Otherwise good deal on the 2070 super imo.

    • Can always upgrade if not shipped btw. If/when 3000 RTX cards are announced and a date is likely, we'll effectively be taking preorders so people can get the first allocations. Prices will be high and stock low, that's a sure thing though.

  • Does this need a separate wifi card or does it have an inbuilt one?

    • +1

      No Wi-Fi built in.

      • Thanks

  • If only we could get this is less than a month!

    • my pc was shipped exactly on the 14th business day + transit time
