Uncross those fingers and get ready to apply coupons. Previous deals had no buy limits. This is 2 per customer, so I think you'll have plenty of time. I estimate an hour until oos.

      • I had two of these delivered today, thank you again for organising these deals.
Now I just need to pick up another one the next time it goes on sale.

    • You're probably already all over this like a rash, but what I did last time is open the deal in another tab & put one in my cart ready to go. Then I apply any other coupon (I have a Dell Advantage coupon from my last monitor order) -$30. Then when the codes hit the page, I copy each over and apply them, then straight to the payment method of choice. I use Paypal which is a bit slow, but it shouldn't take more than a minute.

  • Reading just the basic reviews, can any current owners confirm that the monitor "bleeds" light on the corners or they just got lemons, Cheers!

    • +1

I got mine about 2 weeks ago. I see no light bleeding on the corners (if you mean can I see the light from the back or the side of the monitor?)

      • It means if you have a black screen, the bottom left of the screen seems to be quite bright as there is backlight bleeding

        • I just tried it with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIMLoLxmTDw . It seems like there is a slightly lighter black in the bottom corners but I have not noticed this before neither do I care too much because I don't often have it on a black screen.

Edit: that being said it does get less noticeable/disappears depending on how I view the screen. It might just be my viewing angle

    • This is interesting because both me and my brother have no bleed, no vignette either. It's superbly uniform, so I can't relate to others saying ips glow which is expected with ips.

    • +1

Just got mine from the last deal. As someone who's used plenty of quality Dell monitors but previously gamed on a TN panel, I'm fairly disappointed.

My previous screen was several years old and once calibrated honestly looks as good as the Dell IPS did out of the box. Yes I'm going to need to calibrate the Dell as it was way off in colors.

Backlight bleeding is harsh on my eyes, even at 12% brightness (any lower and I start losing too much detail in games). It's very noticeable for me in both bottom corners, extending out a fair way and there is a little bit but far less noticeable bleed in the top corners.

I'm not sure what I'll do, see if I can ask Dell for a swap as I completely understand it's something of a lottery. Otherwise I'll sell it on and keep searching for that unicorn monitor at a reasonable price, which just doesn't seem to exist. Funny though my old monitor was "just" a TN panel that was under $600 new (27", freesync, 1440p, 144hz etc) and I thought I'd get something newer with better colors. Maybe I'll go back to the old monitor and wait a few more years for the tech to improve.

Aside from the bleed and out of box color accuracy issues the monitor seems very good. Well built, very fast response time/refresh rate/input lag, and gives you that classic 27" 1440p sharpness. Viewing angles are also great, although that really doesn't matter much on a 27" monitor that will almost always be viewed front on by a single person.

      • That's an awesome brief review mate, much appreciated.
I may sit this one out. Have a good evening!

        • No dramas mate :)
Look I may have got unlucky with the bleed, and the colors will surely smash any TN panel once calibrated fully.

I'm also very picky and will notice imperfections or issues with technology far more often than the average layman. What is an issue for me may be unnoticeable by someone else who doesn't know what they are looking for even if they were asked to pick out issues. I have sensitive eyes and sensitive ears so as much as I love technology I get up in arms over any physical imperfections from the factory, as well as things like sound quality and issues like coil whine (of which this monitor has no whine I can detect). Not that I'm saying others just aren't picky enough to see it, I'm sure there is a big element of luck as to how bad the bleed is.

Worst case scenario you miss this deal and it goes on sale again for the $500-600 range in two weeks?

Got my monitor from the previous deal today. 21 mins till i finish.

    Level of excitement climbing

  • The reviews on the website aren't great at all. More negative than positive…

    • +2

It's due to shipping mishaps with early deals. Check the rtings review linked in OP. It's honest and accurate.

    J64?L6K78?25JV

    • lol

    • thanks <3

    • Who will fight for it and check out first haha

      • well seems i lost :( I had to fill in all the unimportant stuff like how they should take my money and I guess where my piece of metal should be shipped ./sigh

        • There was the ability to pre fill your address and payment details. I didn't use this code though.

        • You can have applied before the OP posted coupons. So first to see gets it regardless of when the deal starts.

PS: im not the one who got it

          • @InternetExplorer: Not quite, I applied it for the heck of it but it doesnt mean the code cant be used by someone else still since I wouldnt check out without the other 2 codes.

            • @ATangk: I applied as well, refresh the ozbargain page to get the code at 7 pm, apply again, then the 60 dollar voucher gona…in a few seconds….😫

        • I think I got it.. my PP confirmation says 487.76 but then my order confirmation page said 547.76 so maybe it was a split second thing where someone else got it. IDK.
Either way, haven't received an actual confirmation or a charge on my card yet.

          • @mthucs: Same here lol

            • @Shmeeve: As in you got the code to work?

              • +1

@mthucs: PP confirmation says 487 but the dell site confirmation page said 547. havent received a dell confirmation email. I assume we will both be charged the higher amount eventually lol.

                • +1
                  • +1

@mthucs: oh well, hopefully we both actually get it at the higher price..

          • +1

@mthucs: From what you said, it seems like someone else got it..

            • +1

@F1ProjectOne: Man, this is what happens when I get greedy using a 60 dollar random voucher vs the gf's 20 dollar one. Haha :(

        • I apparently got it, but no idea if it will stick. Have got an order confirmation though

          • +1

@anonmoose: Did you get the confirmation as 487.76?

              • +1

@anonmoose: Ditto. Sorry, just to confirm, the email confirmation or the PayPal confirmation?

                • +1

                  @mthucs: Yeah dell and paypal

                  • +1

                    @anonmoose: Damn you son!

                    Congrats. Haha

                    • @mthucs: Haha yeah pretty damn lucky, still waiting for an angry email from dell advising I've doubled up on vouchers but fingers crossed!

  • +2

Damn the code "placeholder" doesnt work…

    • because its just a placeholder and not the official coupon.

      • +2

Thanks! Hopefully they come earlier like the last batch

  • Thanks OP, got 1 :)

  • Thanks LiMaaa, thanks for the great work!

  • +1

Ah yes, got my 2nd one today thanks OP! Much appreciated, these are indeed nice for the price…

  • Thanks LiMaaa, finally got this monitor! :)

  • Hi LiMaaa,

Made an order, got a PayPal transaction confirmation but no order confirmation or evidence of an order on my account. Should I be worried?

    • Yes you should. Cheer up though there's always the Black Friday sale :D

    • usually that's just because when you return to Dell (from Paypal) the DELL payment page wants you to click on the 'agree with terms' and confirm the order. You might not have completed?

      • It actually said order confirmed. I didn't write down the details and then when I went to check the order details later, it wasn't on the list. Weird.

      • And yeh, I did all that. Confirmed the order etc after the PP page. Just no confirmation e-mail.

        • same, paypal payment also says pending.

        • Ah, then I would not be worried. It sometimes takes a while for the confirmation email from Dell. You should be fine…

    • +1

I got an email from Dell confirming my order and also paid through PayPal

    • i got the same

    • +1

Check to see if the money went through. Paid via visa got both the amount deducted from bank and an email.

      • yep correct, same here

      • I might add that I still don't have any orders in my "recent orders" tab on Dell's site.

    • No you shouldn't be worried. Paypal orders however sometimes require some manual motivation to process so expect to wait a couple days for order confirmation. Paypal orders will still be processed and honoured as long as they were placed before coupon expiry.

      • Thanks mate.

Quick other question. I used one of the advantage codes in the thread. PP came up as 487 but the order confirmation I saw said 547. :D

Any idea how this could play out?

        • Order confirmation usually indicates price without voucher. Dell advantage coupons are verified manually. It comes down to the person who verifies the voucher on your purchase, whether it's been used by others and decides to push it to only one order or not.

TL;DR No idea, wait and see!

  • +1

Thanks LiMaaa, got 1. Was thinking of getting 2 but have a Dell Advantage code coming from the Inspiron 15 - 7591 and fingers cross this monitor will go on sale again Black Friday / Cyber Monday.

    • +1

No confirmation, but I have a feeling Black Friday deals may be eBay orientated. Dell advantage doesn't work through eBay I don't think. I'll double check though.

      • Thanks LiMaaa, would be awesome if the Dell Advantage code could also work on eBay if it is an eBay orientated deal. Else I'm sure a deal (doesn't have to be monitors) will pop up on the Dell site that I could use. Cheers

  • +1

Got it for $333.34 thanks LiMaaa

    • $333? lol how

      • +3

Twin sister bought an xps13 like a month or two ago and thank god I remembered to ask for her Advantage voucher that was expiring in 3 days lol

        • Totally sweet…

        • +2

I'm a twin too and I support the benefits of having a clone haha.

          • +1

@LiMaaa: Hahaha you know it!! Now I owe her dinner though. I kinda told her it was a $260 voucher 😅

            • @ven041: Can I ask how much the Dell XPS was? I thought the voucher was only 5% of the order value!

              • +1

@poppingtags: At one point it was 10%. I received a $240 voucher when I bought a G7 a month or two ago. Then used it on the previous s2721DGF deal, which discounted it down to $291!

              • +1

@poppingtags: It was 2.6k ish so 10%. She really needed one ASAP for start of Tafe last term. But I feel like a part of my ozbargain pride died when she bought it almost rrp

                • @ven041: Haha, well If she needed it ASAP then fair enough - the XPS 13 is such a nice little laptop! :)

                  Thanks for the info!

        • +1

That's unreal, thought it may have been a typo! Good job!

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks LiMaaa!

thank you so much! snagged one!
