  • i also recieved a cancellation email this morning but it was showing 'processing' as order status on on JBHifi website.
    I haven't received any call from them like others but now mine shows shipped.

  • Hi All, just like many others, my situation was as follows:
    - 7:37am - I got email / SMS saying ready for pick-up
    - 8:45am - Went to store at around 8:45am to pick it up and was told the order was cancelled etc
    - 9:14am - Received "Pricing Error" email from JB
    - 2:07pm - Saw positive comments about stores now honouring them so I decided to ring my store and provided my order #. They confirmed it's ready for collection
    - 2:18pm - Successfully collected from store without issues.

    Bought a 32GB version via C&C from Greensborough, VIC.

          • @Blueboy152: Yupp ! told them a few of my mates have been able to collect their orders from other JB HiFis across Melbourne and the lady put me on hold for a few seconds and said yupp its ready for collection ! Good luck !

      • I just called Top Ryde too and they said they have not had their orders entered by Online Sales so can’t honour it. Feels like Online might be catching up and hopefully they will get to us…

    Just collected mine after receiving initial SMS/Email this morning stating it was ready and subsequent email re. cancellation/pricing error. Be nice to the folk at JB, it ain't there fault but they're well and truly dealing with the fallout.

    I am pissed because when I was making a decision to get it they took it off the website. I was deciding wether to wait for the new 4K to come out or to get this one. Was gonna have a small cinema room in my house in about a year or so

  • Well, im apparently getting mine delivered today from JB hifi chirnside (a good 15 km's away from my house and i think the 4th closest store…). We shall see!

  • This morning I went to collect the item and the lady said the offer was invalid due to price error issue. I bought with GC and wasn't convinced, then went half hour ago and talked to other lady and collected it from Thomastown Victoria. (32GB)

    Just went to pick up mine even after the cancellation email. If you got the pickup SMS, then you can go get it.

    Call them to verify the order if you're uncertain.

      • No. Just SMS that it will be delivered before 6. Then another SMS that driver is on the way.

        • Strange my only confirmation that it isn’t canceled is me calling up jb and asking and the the order saying shipped

    Just picked it up from Indooroopilly JB.

    Ordered it last night and had both confirmation and cancellation emails this morning.

        • Not yet, mine just says shipped, my credit cards been charged as well. I got an email saying its been cancelled and no SMS saying its on its way so I have no idea if its coming or not.

    Collected mine @ Parramatta Westfield. Was denied in the morning due to instructions from their head office, though they had the item ready with package slip. They seem to honour all orders now as I could see many in the C&C cabinet near the counter like a twin tower. Tiresome - 2 visits and few phone calls.

        Yup can confirm i called the JB North Sydney office and although they did not honour the order this morning they are now honouring all processed orders after instruction from head office legal team said to honour them. Going to collect now.

    Lucky I checked back on here otherwise would never know since JB haven't sent new 'ready to pick up' emails or sms
    Also received mine, they actually honoured it. Guy seemed pretty relax, not sure if he knew about the pricing error or maybe he did lol

    Anybody try price matching with Officeworks now? Wonder if they'd match

    Just called Garden City QLD. They called me this morning saying order was cancelled but I just called back and they confirmed all orders will be honoured.

    Like as many others - I originally bought online with a shipping option (+4.95) —— got a cancellation email….. and then got the shipping notification saying Auspost now has the parcel…

    So looks like its on its way! yay

    • Hmm I wonder if the standard shipping comes with tracking? Mine shows shipped but no tracking.

      • Did you get an email saying it is “Awaiting carrier pickup”? On that email there is a ‘track order button’. Otherwise, log onto your JB Hi-Fi account, go to your purchase history, click on the order and it should have a link for tracking their too. If not, what’s your ‘Fulfilment status’ say?

        My tracking number just started displaying information around 20 minutes ago.

    • Not sure it deserved the neg - deal was shared in good faith with no reason to think it was an error listing from JB. Interesting fact: original purchase that started this was purchase yesterday from North Lakes Westfield (no joke).

  • Just got mine delivered, using the $5 delivery option (ordered last night).

  • I tried calling again just now after going in this morning and my store is telling me they will not honour it. I mentioned a lot of other people I "know" are now getting their orders honoured but he wasn't having any of it.
    I received a confirmation email and text this morning and went in. As I was in the store I received the cancellation email. Super annoyed I went all the way in for that.

    Anyone have any ideas to get this honoured? Seems unfair some are getting honoured and others aren't?

      • I just called my local JB and they said they haven't received this memo. How was the head office telling me? My local JB still won't give me the deal because the last communication they had was the email this morning saying "we won't honour it"

    Got a phone call from the JB Hifi store I had selected for pickup just after 4pm. They told me head office have chosen to honour the price error and the cancellation email should be ignored. Just got home from picking mine up.

    Hour ago I got the email saying it’s waiting for the driver to deliver.

    No sms though.

    Got mine from Mile End SA after receiving an SMS then a cancellation email then a call confirming cancellation this morning. Rocked up with my order number and there were a stack of 20+ sitting my behind the counter

    Fair play in the end. Was initially spewing as I bought GCs to order.

  • To all, looks like JB are honouring yesterday evening's purchase online + delivery. Received a follow-up email to from both JB and the Aus Post at 2:25 pm to say my delivery is coming from Modbury SA. There has been such backlash I guess JB has had a change of mind. Happy days should it arrive!

    • Yep, sent a not happy jan email. More to point out that they shouldn’t be cancelling orders AFTER ready to collect emails are sent. Good on them for honouring it.

    Well well. Got a cancellation message this morning but then a call advising me it was ready to collect if I still wanted it.

    An Apple TV 4K sitting in my hands now.

    Very impressed with JB for honouring this given, as those of us regulars know full well, they are not obliged to meet genuine pricing errors (which this appears to have been) under ACL.

  • My local JB still won't honour it. The last message they got from head office was the cancellation email this morning.

    How did you guys manage to pick yours up? Has head office contacted all stores? Super annoyed that for some reason my JB won't honour it.

    I mentioned that a lot of people had got theirs but he said he can't go against head office.
    Any advice?

    • Talk to Store Manager or ask them to check with other stores. Stored I purchased said they were advised to fulfil the orders from head office later after cancelling the orders.

      • I just spoke to the manager on (not sure if he was store manager) and I asked if he could ring head office or other stores and he said all info he gets is through their communication systems or something and the last thing they have is the cancellation email.

        • Similarly frustrated here as that’s the message my store is giving also. Seems like most stores are happy to contact head office to confirm or have been contacted, but some just refuse to follow up on behalf of their customers. Hopefully it’s just being worked through.

          They did honour it eventually. I have it now. However, it took me calling another nearby JB and talking to their lovely store manager who agreed they are now honouring it and called my JB store and basically told the manager to check his emails and he will see. Sure enough it was there, despite me telling him I wasn't making it up. When I went in, just mentioned my name and they grabbed it and I went.
