  • Just to confirm, we don’t need eBay play for this right?

    • +14

Correct. Don't need ebay play or Google plus to use coupon.

    • did you mean eBay Plus?

      • Yeah hahaha! But already read the above comments if eBay plus is needed and relived that it isn’t.

  • whats with the 27 inch 2k monitor and the rrp is quite high? already got the samsung 2k 32 inch curved but am not impressed.

will this monitor be good on that dell pc with 3070?

will only use it for casual gaming for ps5, pc and kids homework.

    • -1

It's perfect to pair with the 3070 Dell Desktop deal here. but I'm not sure Ps5 supports 2k?

      • +2

        PS5 doesn’t support 1440p at the moment

  • Can anyone advise of the bezel size on the S2721DGF?

    Tia

    • +2

Ultra thin top and side bezels, sleek nice flat bottom bezel.

    • +2

Top and sides 1mm, bottom about 15mm :).

  • @LiMaaa thanks for your good work.
    Great prices!
Purchased through eBay, do they come with the same Dell warranty as buying through their website?

    • Yes they do. 3-Years Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Guarantee.

      • Amazing. Thank you.

  • Hi op, the code PPIBS20 is not working for me anymore. I think it’s because I have used it twice already during the promotion and can’t use it again

    • +2

Only 2 uses per account during promotion. You'll have to use another eBay account / friends account to purchase.

  • -1

Anyone got any 27" monitor recommendations for standard computer use? Cheaper the better (it's ozbargain after all)

Was thinking of QHD or UHD resolution rather than 1080p, is it worth the extra?. Curved or flat ?

    Much appreciated!

    • +1

This would have been great for you if it wasn't sold out.

      • Damn, would've been perfect! Guess I need to look for another deal on it (not likely so soon?)

        • +1

Possibly next year. Check Dell site for Sitewide deals from time to time.

  • Does anyone know what the difference is between the Dell s2721dgf and the ASUS pg278q? I am thinking about getting one or the other but dont know which.

    • I have a ASUS pg278q, bought 3 years ago, and the screen start flickering 2 days ago, not sure how much to fix this out of warranty but I just gonna go ahead with purchase a new monitor this sale season.

About the difference, the huge one is ASUS pg278q only has ONE displayport, no HDMI input at all.

      • +1

I also have the PG278Q. The biggest difference (other than the single displayport input) is the PG278Q is a TN panel vs the Dell S2721DGF using an LG Nano IPS panel. If you google TN vs IPS you'll get a better explanation than I can give but the basically IPS has better viewing angles and colour. TN panel can give faster response times at a lower price. The PG278Q is far better than any other TN panel I've personally seen but still has the viewing angle and colour limitations.

  • +1

Any other 27" deals? Need a 27" QHD for a non gamer (aspiring content creator).

  • I want this but my rx 580 said no :(

    • +10

Make it an ex 580 ;)

  • Anyone know how a 1070 and i5 would go at running this? Playing mostly Apex/Overwatch and hopefully cyberpunk.

Edit: is this a freesync monitor that supports gsync?

    • Yes it is. 1070 may struggle to handle 2k on some of those games. I would suggest a 20 series or 30 series card to future proof you.

  • Thanks LiMaaa! Been looking for the AW3821DW for ages, I'll be spamming F5 at 7pm for sure

I've seen above that someone said this code can only be used twice? If i've bought only one previously i should be fine?

    • If you have used the code once previously, you shouldn't have problems using it again and just having 2-3 qty in your cart for that single code use. ;)

  • Thanks for the hard work LiMaaa, any sales for the Dell S3220DGF this year?

    • Nothing planned, but I'm really keen to look into laptop, 32" and desktop configuration deals for you guys in the new year if Dell allows me hehe.

      • Thanks again! Looking forward to it!

      • +1

Awesome stuff @Limaaa, appreciate your efforts. Just to let you know I have already taken advantage of your S2721DGF and S2721Q deals, thankyou, and would definitely be interested in a 32" 4k model :).

  • are the S2721DGF expected to sell out immediately?

    • define immediately?

      • as in you kind of have one chance once the deal is up. like a blink and you'll miss it deal

        • it should not be like a blink (under 5 seconds) and gone

    • They usually sell quite fast.

  • For the S2721DGF:

    1. How is it for general work use, excel etc
    2. Will this monitor go well with a GTX 2060?
    3. Will this monitor work with the PS5?
      1. Sharp, crisp and good screen real estate.
      2. Yes
      3. It'll work, but Ps5 is geared toward 4k not 1440p. So not ideal.

Ideally use dgf as gaming monitor paired with a 4k like S2721QS as secondary for work flow / Ps5.

    • +1

      Same as what LiMaaa said!

I had someone buy my old XB271HU off me - let him know the PS5 wouldn't support 1440p 165Hz and he still took it.

2 days later came back and said "yeah it's not doing what i want so i might have to bring it back mate."

You'll no doubt have the same issue.

  • $619 was the cost at click frenzy with 5 years premium support.

Or go this deal and have standard 1 year warranty. For $450 odd.

    Hmmm… :/
Extended warranty is sometimes a jip but when it comes to screens i think its reasonable with dead pixels, edge bleed and other stupid issues you can have with monitors.

Well, got today to decide if i want it i guess.
Not sure guys, help persuade me to whats better, more coverage or a cheaper deal?

    • I'd almost consider $619 with 5 years premium to be honest!

I love a good deal, but being supported is always really nice!

    • +1

Except that you have 3 years warranty, not 1 :)

      • +1

never mind then … 3 years is more than enough!

  • Is the S2721DGF height adjustable?

    • +1

      Yes.
The hardware unboxed (melbourne youtubers) show height, twist, pivot.
All the movement of premium screens

    • Yep, swivels too

  • +2

Imagine Dell earning $469,600 in under 10 minutes from selling the S2721DGF.

    • +4

Revenue does not equal profit though. ;)

  • +1

How fast will 1000 units sell out? Should I just sit on the page spamming refresh till deal goes live? :P

    • +1

When they sold for $530 a few months back. There were 400 units and it lasted a few hours

    • +1

They have sold as quick as 5-10 mins. You don't need to spam refresh all day, just do it about a minute before live time. It's good practice for rpg's anyway.

      • so this time it won't be done in couple of rounds, right? like 200 units per round then gap then next round. if after the specified sale time, if it's shown 'out of stock' then it is out of stock hey?

        • Unless for some reason more units appear, it should just be what's specified now.

      • +1

Well lucky I was spamming bc they sold out in just over a minute haha

  • +5

Alienware AW2721D is not even out in Dell Australia store and somehow Limaaa already got it on ebay -_-

    Man, I want 2 but $2k vs $940 for Dell 2721DGF….

    • Either way… Do it.

      • +1

K…2x AW2721D it is! I hope ATO doesn't audit me by the end of this year….

    • Yeah, you're basically paying extra for the 240hz and GSYNC Ultimate module :)

  • will the S2721DGF support Monitor arm like this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B071HWSGPN ?

    • +2

The S2721DGF follows VESA mounting standard, so yes.

  • Just bought DGF for $550 :(

Edit: As a true ozbargainer should I return it (15 day change of mind guarantee) and buy it cheaper?

    • On the same boat. OP, I bought last week from dell. would they cancel the order? So I can buy form their ebay store today.

      • If it hasn't shipped Dell has no issue cancelling.

        • +2

Thanks, this will save me $130.

      • +1

Got an email from paypal for the refund already. Amazing that the whole process took less than 20 mins.

    • +1

Dell has a change of mind policy, but Dell "may" apply a 15% restocking fee. Does anyone have any experience with the restocking fee?

      • +2

If it hasn't shipped, there is no restocking fee. Only if it is shipped and you return it.

        • +2

Ariel from Dell eBay customer support has confirmed that there won't be restocking fee as long as the unit is returned to them within 30 days from the delivery date in perfect condition and in its original packaging, Dell Australia can provide a full refund.

  • Do you know if you can use the Dell advantage coupons in conjunction with this coupon since it's through Dell eBay?

    • Highly doubt it, but worth a shot.

    • +1
    • Unfortunately not, advantage coupons for dell.com

  • +1

Good lord mate what are you doing to me?! I might just have to buy another…

    • +1

Just Mount it above the bath and connect it to alexa with a chrome cast / smart TV dongle.

Hands free Netflix & bath. ;)

      • +1

ahaha yeah look there's a $30K bathroom reno that needs to happen before I can do that. :(

you're damn right i've baked in a mounted TV into that budget. lol

        • I wonder if house warmings for renovated bathrooms is a thing.. Hmm. xD

          • +1

@LiMaaa: Keep posting deals like this and you might just score a personal invite! ;)

I'm sure the wife will have decked it out with Dusk candles and adequate bubble bath too, if that's your thing!! LMAO

  • The link for the 38 currently takes you back to this webpage, will that change when the deal goes live?

    • +2

It will change around noon when the listing is created.

  • Hey LiMaaa, I purchased the S2721D and the S2721QS during the last sales. I was wondering if I would be able to use the code again to purchase this monitor. Does the restriction for two monitors mean the code can only be used twice by one account or you are only allowed to buy two of the same listing but the code works on different listings?

    • +1

The code works twice per account. Get in touch with old friends ;)

      • thanks. will do ahahah

    • +1

jeeeze andy, how many monitors do you need? LOL

      • +1

Depends, how much wall real estate you got? They also make great "fake fireplaces" xD

      • The QS is for the dad's WFH setup and the D is to go as a secondary monitor with hopefully this DGF ahaha

  • Does anyone know if the S2721DGF model supports G-Sync at 165hz?

    • I believe it does.

    • Yes, and yes.

It has FreeSync Premium Pro, or whatever the highest tier is.

    • It supports FreeSync pro. 10, 20 and 30 series nvidia cards now fully support gsync through FreeSync on this monitor.

  • So no GSYNC on the S2721DGF :(

    • +1

FreeSync. Works with G-SYNC. You arguably won't notice the difference between actual G-SYNC and FreeSync.

      • from my brief google this morning "Gsync compatible" is a long way from proper GSYNC

        • GSync compatible monitors work much the same as GSynx ultimate, except for variable overdrive which is only possible with the GSync module

        • +1

I highly doubt you'll notice. I went from genuine G-SYNC to this monitor. This monitor I find better overall, but don't notice a difference where G-SYNC/FreeSync counts. At least, for me anyway…

          XB271HU to S2721DGF.

Could argue the XB1 was a bit older, etc. but still. :)

    • +1

      It is g-sync compatible.

  • You know… I’ve already bought 5 monitors since June…

    • I'm sowie ^^
