    • I would go dgf and QS if I were you. Although I have a s2721d and dgf paired and that also works very nicely.

  • +2

    Jingle Dell Jingle Dell

    • jingle Dell rock

    • +1

This is IPS with an LG panel, the Gigabyte is VA.

      • Specs list Gigabyte as IPS / PLS Panel

  • Can I run s2721dgf with my rx580? Know it's not optimal but is it fine?

    • It should run fine, but if you're talking about gaming, the QHD resolution may impact frames on your gpu.

  • I've been waiting for the price to drop so I can buy it and pair it with my NEW PC.
But all GPU's are out of stock.

Do you guys think its worth to get it before you get a pc or wait and then.
I already have a decent 1080p monitor but this is for a new pc which i haven't even got as everything is out of stock.

    Still great price.

    • I did, then just upgraded my components as I went. As long as it isn't going to take you months to get new pc.

  • Is the AW3821DW also going to be up on the Dell website at the same time?

    • Should be listed on site in a few days.

  • I'm worried about ebay and warrenty.
Because after a couple months (3 months) the orders are no longer open for dispute or anything.
So if its faulty after a couple months and I try to contact the seller for warrenty and they don't follow their warrenty, I cant do anything.
Unlike if it was on the Dell website, I can contact them and get it replaced if it goes faulty.

Could @LiMAaaa let me know if you guys will follow through with your warrenty??

    Thanks

    • +2

after a couple months (3 months) the orders are no longer open for dispute

eBay disputes aren't for warranty. Dell offers warranty on this, you just contact them

    • Yeah, probably a bad idea to order the 38AW … never know what might go wrong, and then you’re left with a paperweight. 😈

      • See this

        • +2

          It's only cause I want one :P

          • @pyrate: Sneaky pyrate ;)

    • As kroger mentioned, you get Dell 3 year warranty on these purchases, just because you're buying through ebay, you're still purchasing from Dell and their warranty and exchange service is quite good. So no different then buying through official Dell site.

  • +1

Yeah. I never received my monitor from the September deal and I am waiting now over a month for the refund. So good to see this even cheaper now. I guess these are great monitors when you have no issues … lots of people have a positive experience. But after my current experience and still waiting for a refund I avoid Dell for some time now (yes … 2 months later!).

  • For someone who won't be able to snag the S2721dgf, is this a good deal?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/585978?utm_source=searchal…

    • Ah I cant decide on these 2. Paper spec wise, is it worth paying extra $80 for 21Hz refresh rate. Not like my rig will constantly be close to 144/165Hz anyways 😂
Just worried there are panel quality difference/issues IRL

      • +1

Personally with warranty and panel quality, I would go Dell in a heartbeat for that $$

  • I read that dgf runs hot. Is that true ? How bad. I WFH at the moment with no AC in Sydney.'
I have two 27 2K Asus PB278QR. Extremely happy with them. I need to move one into another room. Was thinking of swapping one out with something with a higher refresh rate 75Hz or above. I missed out on the earlier Dell 27 2K deals. Is this one overkill for me ? I don't really game much.

    • +1

Yes it's a gaming beast, S2721D would have suited your situation better.

      • +1

Thanks. I figured.. was too slow. I guess will have to wait for next round of sales

      • +1

I hope the next sale for S2721D is soon too! Lots of demand and many missed out. ;)

      • +1

What's your take on this statement, LiMaaa?

I read that dgf runs hot

        • +1

I have not noticed this at all, others I know also don't have this experience. I think it may come down to your humidity in your environment, but there's nothing that suggests this runs any hotter than your standard monitor.

    • I have no Ac rn, broken, muggy day today in Melbourne, it generates heat, but nothing substantial. Comparable to my previous Dell and benq monitors.

  • Is there a 14 day period whether I can change my mind and return AW3821DW and get a refund?

I am worried about the curved.

    • It's 2300R, very slight curve

      • Almost flat one, you mean?

        • +2

It's a very minimal curve. You have 30 day Dell returns.

          • +1

@KeRRR: Even the box is open and only if Im not getting used to the curved thing, then I can return it to Dell and issue a refund, right?

            • @daddydirtsurfer: Hmm change of mind after usage may incur restocking fee. Change of mind without use does not.

  • Any chance of a deal on S2721QS close to these prices in the future ?

    • +1

      Probably next year

  • Anyone familiar or had experience with Dell's policy on IPS glow and broken pixels? Just in case :)

  • is this going to be restocked?

    • It will be restocked when deal goes live in an hour.

  • +2

I feel like there's a good chance to get 15-25% off on the AW3821DW say boxing day or early 2021 purchasing directly from Dell.
and combining with cashback (up to 10%) or alternatively with coupons like EPP5 and LOVEKEANU, it will probably work out cheaper (maybe up to 30-35% off including cashback/coupons) if wait another month or two.

no guarantee though, its either get it now for 20% or play the waiting game if not in a rush.

  • +4

To everyone who is on the fence about buying one of these monitors.
I was the same before I jumped on the previous OzBargain post about these monitors back in August. I ended up buying two of them for $530-ish each and IM SO GLAD I DID. They are amazing monitors to compliment my Asus Strix 2070 Super. Next to no IPS glow and no dead pixels on either of my monitors.
For sub-$500, these are the best monitors you'll get, period. Don't miss out on this deal! You'll be sorry!!

    • +2

I can second that (albeit I only bought 1). I have a QS along side it so I have a duel work station and then switch to my gaming mode.

It's kind of like a mullet - Business at the front and party at the back

    • +1

Awesome, that was my experience as well.

  • Is there a one item limit for the AW3821DW? Will the 20% code stack for the entire order if I get multiple, or best to order multiple times?

    • +1

Why do you need 2 :) Save some for others

      • +1

Wife wants one for her computer :)

        • Happy wife, happy life :)

    • Purchasing 2 should be fine, only excessive qty purchases may be reviewed.

  • +4

anyone else on 1 hour early to make sure timezones are right?

    • Yep.. this whole AEST VS AEDT.. better safe than sorry

    • i thought the sale was on now?

      • Nope, in an hour.

    • Was worth a try, I hit refresh for a minute straight just in case.

    • Oh, well that explains that then.

    • Bahaha same!!! So take it your from Sydney too? Guess it's 7pm

    • hahah nah Melb but hoping Santa aka LiMaaa comes through with my Christmas present.

      • I dunno, did you leave me milk and cookies? ;)

        • +1

DM me your address and you will get more than milk and cookies if I get one of these :D

          • @Cozi01: Haha, must fight… Curiosity.

            • @LiMaaa: lol ok DM me your email address and ill reply from my work email saying hello, from there you can decide.

              Pending me getting a S2721DGF ;)

Happy to repay a favour for all your hard work with these deals.

    • +3

Was considering posting "I got one!" just to make everyone panic haha

      • +1

        hahaha mofo

        • I'm worrying without the stress of refreshing, only 100 units for the 38 inch

          • @cille745: The limited qty units will be hard to nab. Best practice is make sure you have ebay listing's open on mobile and desktop. CC info ready or saved by Google for easy input. Be here a minute early. All you can do is try.

    • +1

Sme here as I was confused. Guess we wait for 7pm.

    • Hope everyone was as lucky as me!!!

      Thanks! Your order was placed.

  • +2

still not active for the 27"….

    • 7pm aedt (melb, SYD, Canberra), 6pm Aest (normal cities) haha

      • daaaayum daylight saving times.

  • +1

wanted to get this for christmas present, no way is it getting delivered before then right? haha

    • Honestly yes, about 150 or so should get it before Xmas, wether you're one of those is a different story. The faster you order the faster you go in queue for first delivery. But make sure to apply coupon.

  • Wow, i feel absolutely dirty that a bought 2 of these monitors from the last deal and one is still not even close to arriving.

Overpaid by close to $150 per monitor, think i want to be sick.

    • Must have not purchased from my previous deals? As the most you would have paid is about $60 or so difference and that's not too bad.

    • Hope you don't literally feel sick over $150 - just chalk it up to 'stuff happens' and move on. Sucks about slow delivery though.

      • +1

Im not going to die over it but $300 is $300, especially when i probably will see the second monitor AFTER people in this deal going by the ETAs quoted.

      • Should see my S2721D deal comments coming in now, everyone is getting theirs early. Strange how unreliably reliable shipping can be during 2020

  • Do cash back work when we use coupons?

    • If the coupon is listed on the cashback site. Otherwise you can try but know that it might bounce.

  • Will I be able to stack this coupon with a "Save up to $100*. Min spend $60+." ebay voucher?

    • This I'm unsure of, go to another Dell product on the 20% off via ebay and see if it applies, if it does and it uses the same coupon as this deal it should work.

      • +1

I tested it on a couple other monitors; can only use a single coupon. Thanks LiMaaa.

  • Do the Dell vouchers work through the Ebay store?

    • Dell advantage coupons only work via the Dell website.

      • +1

        No worries, thankyou!

  • Are the ETA's accurate? If so won't get the 38 inch before Cyberpunk :(

    • +1

I had a similar ETA (Dec 15-21) from the S2721D sale https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/581736 just over a week ago, but I received it yesterday morning. So it may not be accurate, or I may be just lucky.

    • The alienware stock are already in AU, all alienware monitors will start arriving from the 1st week of December and all should meet their destinations before end of Dec. There is good chance you'll get an alienware monitor in time for cyber punk.

  • Is there a reason for the shipping being a couple weeks from now??
Just curious because most people might be on holidays (eg. interstate) so they might not be home to receive it.

    • We want to try get everyone their product before Xmas, but we buffer shipping to account for delays because transparency so customers can make informed purchases is the best policy.

  • +1

Let's see how fast this gets ozb…

  • Will there be a link to the product page? Or will it just pop up at the Australian Dell Ebay page?

    • Links are all in OP to their respected product listing's.

  • Even the 27" will take a few weeks to arrive??

    • The dgf can be as early as Dec 10, but want to give transparent shipping ETA that accounts for delays vs false hope.
