Hey guys, so there was a timezone confusion between AEDT and AEST. The ebay deal was live'd but the remaining 1000 units have been locked down until another 50mins to respect the information in OP

    • +2

thank god, i almost had a heart attack

    • +1

This is what you call a true ozbargaining, thanks OP! I know I'm not the only one

    • Not sure what you mean? I just got one ~20 mins ago.
P.S I noticed on mobile it was showing as unavailable, but when I switched to my desktop PC, it was showing it as available - however, it could have just been a timing thing as I checked mobile @ 6pm sharp and then on desktop @ 6.03pm.

      • +2

Well you must be from the future then….

        • -7

I got three (two for the gf), tried to go back for a 4th and out of stock. Back to the future

    • +1

      thank you so much!

    • +1

Whew! That's a huge relief! I read golive @ 6pm AEST =7pm Sydney time, so went out to do chores. Came back at 6.50pm, saw that 1,000 had been sold and nearly had a heart attack. All good now. Thanks!

      • +1

Sorry to hear, in fairness there was still 1000 units at accurate live time specified in OP.

        • I just saw this deal. can i be able to buy one later?

        • -5

Yes and 1/3rd sold 1hr early. Surely it's not rocket science to get a time right but I suppose that's my problem right?

          • @[Deactivated]: when do we get another chance?

            • +1

@Sunny10: This deal is finished. Will have other models on the 20th and 27th respectively.

          • +4

@[Deactivated]: Unfortunately, yes it is. There's no need to be rude to the representative. There'll be other deals.

    • Did they release another set after initial one?

    • Could someone advise a good 27inch Curve Gaming monitor please?

      • I was doing some research on 27" curved gaming monitors in the past, and I kept seeing these 2 in review pages (before I came across and decided to settle on the S2721DGF):
        1. AOC CQ27G2
        2. Gigabyte G27QC

        They're both VA tough.

        • Thank you.

  • +2

    Damn great price. Thanks OP!

  • +4

    Good stuff!

Few of us been waiting for this one.

    • +3

I know, I secretly wanted to say wait.. WAIT as it's the cheapest price! Glad you did.

      • +4

What are the other Dell 4k 27 inch monitors deals this week?

        • +18

We will have the S2721Q and the S2721QS for all those that need adjustable alternative… At their cheapest prices ever.

          • @LiMaaa: Neato. Same time or a different time during the week?

            • @RI4V4N: I believe on Friday.

          • +1

@LiMaaa: HERE. FOR. IT. In fact, two of it!

Will it be on Dell's eBay or webstore LiMaaa?

            • @poppingtags: The deal links to eBay, so I'm guessing only there. In the past, when the deals are on Dell's site, they've linked to that

            • +1
          • +4

@LiMaaa: Will the 2721DS be part of this? The price is right for this one and I prefer 1440p, but it'd be great to have a pivot stand for a bit extra $

            • +3

@TimR31: I don't think the ds will be on sale as its allocated elsewhere.

              • @LiMaaa: Hi @LiMaaa
                Would the stand from S2721DS / S2721HS / S2721QS suit this S2721D model?

If not, (for those wanting height & swivel adjustment) only option is to go with a monitor gas strut arm setup for around $40.

              • @LiMaaa: So for 2721D, the stand can be removed and it can be mounted on to an external table mount ? Also that will allow you to adjust height, tilt etc?

                • @bestdealsonly: Yes it's vesa mountable, so long as that table mount is vesa 100x100.

          • @LiMaaa: on black Friday?

          • @LiMaaa: the eta for S2721Q from last month's deal is still December 30th.

            • @neverlate: Which deal, one I organised?

              • @LiMaaa: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572353
not from you. just commenting on how long the wait time might be.

                • +1

@neverlate: Ah okay, the units in these deals are specially organised and secured by the awesome folk at the Dell department I'm working with. So our shipping times may vary from general Dell deals. Nws.

          • @LiMaaa: What about the U2720Q? Any decent deals on them coming up?

            • +1

@bargaineer: Never get any speciality deals on U series. You may find them on the Dell outlet or through Dell website site wide deals.

              • @LiMaaa: Any reason why the U series is never under your OzBargain discounts? Is it to maintain the premium perception? Thanks for the banger S series deals!!!

                • +2

@Fobsessive: Yep, it's reserved for other sectors and they would feel offended if they paid premium and it was constantly on deals. Gotta keep everyone happy.

  • +5

There deal never show up when really need a monitor.

    • +26

You say that like it's a bad thing. Remember, this is OzB: buy now, questions later.

      • I can't, I already have one.

        • +1

Heh. That doesn't stop a lot of folks 'round 'ere. ;-)

          • +1

@Chazzozz: Was desperately looking for one last year, got the cheap samsung CF390, I regret it now. Can't even sell it as it has really bad backlight bleed.

  • +2

Wow best price for this model, I paid 239 and very happy with it

  • +3

holy crap, that's an amazing price

  • Dell is releasing an ultra wide model ? Is it available on Black Friday? Can’t wait

    • +1

Yep, releasing on black Friday and they've secured a limited qty deal for you guys.

      • is it this one P3421W?

      • Will there be anyone left by then that doesn't already have a Dell monitor? I've got 3 now…..must resist!

        • +4

At this rate I'm fairly sure some of you have one in the bathroom haha

          • +1

@LiMaaa: All the better to browse ozb on the bog

  • +5

A better price than last time AND 1500 units? Great effort LiMaaa

    • +1

Thank Dell, they're listening to consumers.

  • +4

Ohhh, I'm very curious about the Ultrawide. Wonder which model it is.

    • +2

      Same. And what price πŸ€”

    • same!

  • +12

OP finally admit being associated lol

    • +40

Well they recently sent me a laptop so I could continue organising deals on the go. So yes, I am associated now. :)

      • +1

Nice which laptop did you get?

        • Dell Chromebook :D

          • +1

@bdl: I wouldn’t want to be associated with a chromebook

        • +3

          11th gen Inspiron 14 7000. It's amazing.

          • +1

            @LiMaaa: A laptop with a direct line to sales @ Dell… Nice.

      • +2

That means you can't go bad mouthing monitors in other deals now πŸ˜‰

        • Aw, I never have anything bad to say about competitors haha, just hard to hide my love for quality Dell products.

          • -1

@LiMaaa: I rarely use Dell but willing to give it a try. Do you know if it'll do Multi-stream transport?

            • @Clear: Sorry for the atrociously late response. I don't think the S2721D supports MST daisy chaining, I know the U2719D does and other specific Dell monitors.

          • +1

@LiMaaa: I don't have any free laptops from Dell but gotta say the 16 Dell monitors we have are absolutely perfect. I always told my friends to get Dell monitors for work instead of something else.

            • @neikel: That's awesome, sounds like a productive work environment.

          • @LiMaaa: I hope they do do any crazy deals on the new XPS or I might find myself with a new laptop ;)

          • +2

@LiMaaa: HA, im just gonna say it again though. just google dell support and u can see their "excellent" after sales service. Their product is fine if its not DOA. but if you arent a business customer they don't treat you the same… For reference just watch the latest video on LTT where they basically called dell support to buy / and troubleshoot the PC

P.s. OP did nothing wrong here, i just wanna let people know

            • @sushimaster: Yeah but a PC is not a monitor.

              • @nmartin84: also speaking from personal experience :) you could also google the numerous complains that they've had

      • +1

Wait, they sent you something because you posted deals? I'm going to start posting every Tesla deal I can find..

        • +2

Do it, you'll make ozb history, Haha.

A tad more than that, I have over 500 support dm's, but it's a pleasure interacting with funny and witty ozb members. :)

          • +1

@LiMaaa: is kidna nice to know what will come out soon though D: perks i guess XD

            • +1

@sushimaster: Yeh it is, but two sides to every coin, sometimes you can't tell anyone grr.

              • +1

@LiMaaa: dont need to :) dell is not so good at keeping in any information so if those who ask REALLY want to know. a quick google would basically give them the answer that they want to hear lol. (me pointing at the AW3821d)

              • +3

@LiMaaa: I hear ya! It's like I wish I could tell my wife I'm getting a 4th monitor this evening.

      • +2

Freaking amazing, man. Getting recognition for the effort you've put in!

        • Thank you! <3

  • great price. Do you know which ultra wide monitor that will be released. I placed an order for a U3415W yesterday and may just cancel it if the new deal is better.

    • I can't specify it until release on the 27th. :'(

  • +1

Thanks @LiMaaa. Do you think there will be a similar special for the S2721DS or no?

    • Want it too @LiMaaa

    • +2

Hmm I'm unsure if it will be on deal in the future. Not on these Black Friday deals. Perhaps this model on a monitor arm would suit those requiring adjustments.

    • +1

Yes, The 2721DS is better with adjustable stand. Hope it comes with a deal in the following days !

  • This or wait for the 4k deals for PS5 use?

    • +3

      PS5 will downsample to 1080p. I'd go 4K.

    • 4k deals will be S2721Q and QS variant, so if they suit your needs 4k will be optimal for console gaming.

      • Awesome. I’ll wait for those

        • +3

Better off waiting for some HDMI 2.1 monitors to hit the market for 4K 120Hz VRR compatibility with the PS5.

          • +4

@Master Bates: Whilst this is true, you could easily be waiting 2+ years for that spec of monitor to come out at a cheapish price point (lets say around $500)

      • +2

Any chance U2720Q will go on promotion? Thanks!

  • +2

    keen on the 4k models…

  • +3

Don't forget there are one or two of us living in ACDT! 😁

    6:30pm ACDT get excited!!

    • +1

      Thank you, updated OP.

  • Dell has 1500 units in Australia?
I'm worried this will go on back order or canceled.

    • +1

We worked hard to secure an accurate shipping ETA for these deals which I will specify and update shortly in OP.

  • 4K or ultrawide - struggle is real…

    • +1

Ultrawide for pc, 4K for console.

  • +3

Damn it - paid $247.20 and 239.20 on the last two deals but so far very happy.

Great Deal - thanks again OP!

Question: I haven't change any picture settings or did any adjustments… any recommendation to get the best out of the screen?

    • +2

See the rtings review in OP it highlights some adjustment settings but keep in mind each monitor will have their own ideal settings, so play with them.
