      People in QLD?

      • +1

I wonder if they will ever get the concept of Daylight Savings.

        • +1

I live in QLD and I wish there was daylight savings here. 530 AM in the morning and its so bright outside.

  • 1,001 sold out of 1500?

    • +4

only 500, the other 500 was from the previous sale, will update another 1000u in 48 mins time

      • Thank you, will start refreshing in 44 minutes

  • +2

Thanks OP. Got 2. On top of the other 2 I got from the last deal.
Now to find where to put them…

  • +5

Just to clarify, there was a timezone confusion between AEDT and AEST. The ebay deal was live'd but the remaining 1000 units have been locked down until another 40 mins to respect the information in OP. So don't stress, in 40 minutes you can grab 1 of the 1000 remaining units. Super sorry for the hiccup. <3

    • +1

No pressure, appreciate the correction :)

    • Will this be a good monitor to use with the new Xbox Series X, i know nothing about "tech"

      • I believe xbox supports 2k so yes, someone correct me if I'm wrong. For ps5 you would want a 4k monitor.

  • Hey just wanted to ask if dell will be having a blackfriday sale on the Dell U2721DE, looking for something to use with my macbook pro

    • No, I don't believe that will be included in the BF deals!

  • Will there be a deal for S2721DS at some point in the future? (same as this except with adjustable height)

    • No, but don't get anxious about it. This model + a monitor arm for $30 or so should give you far more versatility.

      • +1

Is it time to ask ScreenMountsAU to do a deal?

  • Oh NNOOOO did I miss out again…. I thought it started at 7pm… I’m in Melbourne

    • +1

      Another 1000 starting in 20min

    • You didn't miss out, 9 mins

  • out of stock already; i got 1 thanks @LiMaaa … next 2721DGF, bring it on!

  • +3

why is it so hard for people to calculate timezones, it aint rocket science. Full respect to the OP though for at least killing it and putting the remaining 1k at the times specified, but I don't get why it's so hard for people to get timezones correct…

and on another matter, wish QLD would just get with the times and adopt daylight saving time so the whole east coast can be aligned!

    • +1

i got too excited :( sorry

    • +1

On the contrary, wouldn't getting with the times mean abolishing daylight savings altogether, considering the negative side effects that DST introduces?

I notice a lot of events when specifying event times will just an EST/AEST, when they actually mean AEDT.

      • +4

We need AMBT - Australian Monitor Buying Time

    • +1

It's a big place, East West and North South. sunrise in mt Isa is 5:53am. In Sydney, even with with daylight saving time, it is only 5:40. Brisbane is 4:47. Sunrise at about 7am in summer is nuts. It makes sense for being not for the northern and western parts.

Maybe we should just change the summer work hours, rather than clocks. During daylight saving people will still to go to work at 8am AEST, knock off at 4pm AEST and have their dinner at 5:30pm AEST.

      • I'd prefer just working different hours or ignoring when the sun rises and sets than having daylight savings. Makes no difference to me when it is, and in winter it would be dark when I get home from work anyways so if you want that time to go outside / walk your dog etc. daylight savings isn't helping you.

  • +1

    Thanks op, bought one.

Been hesitating xiaomi 34 but made decision for this as I only want a new office monitor

    • Good choice.

  • So when is the next batch?

    • +1

      in 12mins

  • How long did it take for the incorrect time zone 500 to sell??

    • +1

      just abit over 6mins

      • Cheers… hopefully the next 1k will last at least that long!!!

  • Just to confirm, been reading that some GPU's may have issue supporting dual monitors, both with different refresh rates e.g main monitor 144hz, secondary monitor 75z.
Issues are like main monitor capped back to 75 Hz. Is this true? always assumed GPU supported variable refresh rates on multiple monitors. Thanks.

    • That would be entirely dependant on the gpu, I think with anything recent especially 3000 series you wouldn't have this problem or there will be a fix.

    • I have a gtx1070 that's connected to a 165hz main monitor, and a 60hz secondary monitor. So I guess it depends which GPU you have

  • -1

I thought the post said it start at 6pm (AEST), why it's already sold out before it starts?

    • +2

      read above

    • +2

1000 units going live in 6 mins.

      • +1

phew!! thanks for confirming, I rushed back to home after work just to make sure I won't miss it

  • Is is all over?

    • No, 1000 units in 6 mins going live.

    • Yes, but it's about to start again.

      • Haha I see you ;)

  • No limit per customer? I see someone bought 10.

    • 2 voucher uses per account. Hopefully people don't over buy and just take what they need.

    • that's fked…

      • Ebay doesn't allow us to control customer purchasing limits too well :/

  • +1

    • logout and back into ebay!

      • Will this be sent via Australiapost? Thanks. Plan to ship to Parcel collection service.

      • +1

oh man that sucks. Already sold out, trying to apply the code error. :( LiMaaa can you help at all?

        • How much of a pain is it! I hope something can be sorted it out but I doubt it, I wish purchase limits were imposed, you can't logout and log back in quick enough for sales like this on the best of days, let alone when people can buy so many in one transaction :/

          • @Zenyth: Yer it sucks, I'll have to walk it off. I wanted to get a few because I'm setting up a little start-up business and trying to save where I can, but people buying 10 is ridic. Should have not worried about the coupon.

  • Thanks got it! Now all I need is a PC to go with it.

  • +1

Got one this time, I had set up an alarm the first time but I forgot what it was about and missed it :) Thanks OP
