Cannot recall seeing the Dualshock 4 this cheap; thought I'd let everybody know.
Long-time lurker, first-time poster, so let me know if I'm missing anything! I cannot find when the deal expires, and have looked through a few of the catalogues on their site, so if anybody knows where to get this let me know and I'll update it..

Just for the record it’s been $49 at both JB, BIGW and even Amazon about 9-12 months ago.
Agreed, best price though it’s never been lower. Of course it’s now last-gen, still prefer to use it on my steam box and big screen.
Yeah had typed that it's now a superseded product, but thought my post was too long and deleted it :P. Lots of people out there who still have PS4s though so thought it might be of use to some.

I just picked one from JB and can't see any lightbar slit above dotted area, as in pictures for Green Camouflage. Havr they given me an old version ? Is there a huge difference ? Box says model no is CUH-ZCT2E … order mentions mentions SKU 327560.
I bought a PS4 controller to use on the PS5 exclusively to play PS4 games for that authentic PS4 experience and to reduce the wear on the PS5 controller.
But that's me.

They were $49 for a while, but last week they all reverted back to full price. Seems someone at Sony noticed their sales had dropped, so literally in the last day or so the price has been put back at $49.
Any good as a PC controller? or should i just stick with my Xbox One?
Xbox one works best(compatibility). I think sometimes the ds4 feels better
I think the Xbox feels more ergonomic but that’s just me
I only have the xbox 360 vs ps4 ds to compare, but imo the ps4 has better build quality & sticks but the xbox feels 2000% better to hold and use
@Loopenip: I bought a PS4 dualshock controller when they were on special at the sony store. Unfortunately it has a problem in some Steam games in that it will walk in a certain direction even though you haven't touched that button. Starting to wonder if that is why they were on special.
It is easy to installed for PC as controller, but compatibility, is good if you use tool to emulate it as xbox controller.
So, if you have to buy new controller for PC better just buy Xbox controller, unless you have PS4 and want to use it for your PS4 too.

It says I need to but the usb wireless dongle, this is not bluetooth? I tried xbox one before with bluetooth and works without the dongle. I would like to buy one for my laptop, just wondering if it will work. I’m been eyeing for $50 xbox one bluetooth controller but no luck.
This PS4 controller is bluetooth, yes.
you dont need to emulate steam recognises ds4 controllers
some XGP games require DS4Windows to emulate it as XB controller though
how to emulate it and will it work with every game once done ?

These things are surprisingly fragile for being an OEM accessory. Friend of mine had 4, and all four of them broke almost in the same time period. At this price though, it's a good deal even with the longevity issues
What the heck is he doing to break four Dualshock 4 controllers. What is he throwing it against walls or some thing in rage fits.
I have Dualshock 4 controllers and none of it has broken. Given i do take care of it since some of them are expensive rare limited editions.
All four of them have drift in the left stick, and two have sticky "O" buttons. And no, he's not the type to rage quite like that at all
Well i don't think your friend is looking after the controllers very much at all. Some thing is wrong when all four controllers break on him around the same time.
Yeah all of mine either arrived with or developed those issues quickly. Seems to be common. I'd like to get another but given the quality issues and the lack of ps5 compatibility I don't think they're worth it.
@gnarkill: Mine as well. I had a spare controller I used a total of less than 20-times and the left stick developed drift. I'm so glad i bought from Amazon because their returns + replacement are second to none.

Yeah i got 3 controllers from Big W for $49 each and a 4th controller from Kogan for $49. I had to pay for delivery though. But i used Afterpay on both orders. JB H-Fi doesn't support Afterpay so i gave that a flick.

Yes. But i bet you didn't know that Dualshock 4 is compatible with PS5 but only for PS4 games. It's because Dualshock 4 was specifically designed for PS4 games.

Over 114 million PS4's were sold globally so yes people still have a PS4 console. I have a PS4 Pro in fact.
I think this was pretty much the trade in price with the extra 40% trade in from EB games during their promotion
I can't believe EB Games. While the rest of the competition is selling the Dualshock 4 for $48 or $49 with no trade in necessary. EB Games is wanting $59 for it. It's like EB Games doesn't want to compete at all unless it's through a trade in. But if you have to trade in some thing of value to get a $49 price then that's not much good at all when the competition sells it for $49 with no trade in required.
I don't know how EB are making money. I traded in PS4 pro, psvr, 6 controllers and some games for the ps5 and extra controller and after paying off still got $300 credit. So I'm definitely not complaining XD

IMO Xbox controller is better, it's the most used PC controller on the market it's why almost all 3rd party controllers look exactly like the Xbox controller.
xbox for sure, windows 10 pick up on xbox controllers instantly while the dualshock need either 3rd-party app or steam, i own both and dualshock is a hassle sometimes

If you don't want to wear out your DualSense playing PS4 games on the 5 get one of these, they also work incredibly well for PC games as the touch pad works as a mouse.

CUH-ZCT2E is the Dualshock 4 gen 2 with the lightbar above the dotted touchpad. This is the new model version.
The Green Camouflage only came as the Dualshock 4 gen 2. Sony did not release a Green Camouflage as the old gen 1 controller. So you may a controller with a faulty lightbar which doesn't work. That's really rotten luck. Take it back to JB and they might give you a replacement since it has a faulty part. As in the lightbar is faulty. It's not fit for purpose since that's one of the key features of the controller model.
I've got one of the Dualshock 4 Green Camouflage and the lightbar definitely comes on.
