Just spotted this deal in the Shopback app. Doesn't look like ebay are running any good promos for Boxing Day so this may be the next best thing. Limited to 12,000 participants.

This challenge entitles you to $10 bonus cashback when you spend $10 or more in a single transaction (minimum spend does not include GST charged at checkout for international items, delivery and all other fees) at eBay Australia through ShopBack between 12.00am and 11.59pm AEDT on 26th December 2020.

  • Multiple items may be purchased in a single transaction to reach the minimum spend.
  • Limited to one bonus per customer.
  • Available while redemptions last.
  • The $10 bonus cashback is in addition to the regular cashback you'll receive shopping at eBay Australia.
  • The $10 bonus will be added to your account once your regular cashback turns Confirmed.
  • Purchases that do not count towards this challenge are those in which do not meet the store's respective terms and conditions (including but not limited to cancellations, returns, exchanges, using unapproved coupons, purchasing excluded products/categories).
  • Cashback will be voided if any fraudulent activities are detected or if any terms and conditions are not met.

    • Pending is normal. Your rewards always enters a pending state first before it is eventually paid out (you'll get a notification when it does).

      All of my eBay Challenges that were done in December and November 2020 are currently reading [Completed] [Reward Pending]. It should be the same for anyone else who did November/ December challenges.

      However if it completely disappears from the list of challenges, then it means there was an issue with tracking or you didn't qualify for the challenge.

      • Even if the bonus cashback remains pending after the regular is already confirmed?
        And then with a very confusing message that this is because I need to "update your withdrawal details".

    • After the CB is “Confirmed”, the Bonus will also be like that. Until then, it’s “Pending”.

      • That's the problem, the bonus cashback doesn't go to confirmed.
        The regular cashback went from pending to confirmed.
        Bonus cashback remains in pending however.
        And the message is that it will move to confirmed after I "update your withdrawal details".

        • Means you need to update your bank details in your account

          • @SmiTTy: I have both paypal and bank account in there, and am still getting this message.
            So it doesn't make sense that they say "update your withdrawal details" and I already used both to make withdrawals.

  • Done the same as everyone here. Reported the missing transaction and also mentioned the $10 challenge that was link to the transaction itself. Hopefully this gets resolved asap.

        Upvoted you. "Debra" is investigating…………..remarkably, the ebay cashback was actioned very quickly, which was zero.
        Then reminded "her" again of the $10 challenge…………..

  • Shopback has issue to track ebay now and even lodge claim they will still do like that:

      Are they really going to say this to everyone here who did not have their transaction tracked properly? All of us used the SB app which directed us to the eBay app to make a purchase. So how is the tracking failure our fault. Really does seems like a marketing ploy to not have to pay out the $10 bonus cashback ….

      • Totally agree, I made the purchase from shopback app and direct me to ebay apps, so all their reasons are bullshits~

        • I specifically wrote in the explanation section that I used the app which redirected me, so that the whole spiel above wouldn't apply. When I did that to a response in the email, then someone apart from Debra responded, think she a bot.

Their job is to recover as much money for both you and ShopBack as it's a win-win situation for both parties. We will certainly try our level best and look for every possible route to get you a positive final outcome and will never stop doing so but unfortunately, this has been determined/finalized by the Merchant's network itself.

    I understand that this is a not a desirable outcome thus what I can do for you is to submit an appeal for A$2 bonus compensation to your account. This is because we earn a commission for every approved payment order with a click-through from your end and we share this commission with you in the form of cashback.

      This is for 22/12 $2 SB ozbargain cashback. Seems ebay always reject SB claims. As what I can say is never use SB for ebay

          • @redhotchilli: Mine has been resolved. Was told to wait for 7 days. when it didn't come through I just replied to that email saying still not showing. Within an hour it was added manually as.tracked. Kept.the emails.very polite obviously.

        Other bonus offers did track quicker with pending state.
        This bonus is also not visible in my account.
        But if you wait until the 25th of Feb, and then your bonus is still not there, you can't open a ticket anymore because the reporting timeframe has past.
        "Please ensure you submit the Missing Cashback request within 30 days of purchase."

        • hmm. I might open a ticket now and leave it unresolve until Feb 25th just in case

      • Think the majority of people didn't get the initial tracking email in the first place, especially by using the Shopback->Ebay app route. That's how I realised that my challenge failed.

        • That's even worse.
          I was kinda hopeful because original transaction tracked, but bonus is not added as pending yet.
          (Whereas with the other challenges the bonus came much quicker).

        • I used eBay on desktop but still not tracked. That was the first time it happened to me as all previous transactions went smoothly (including bonus).

              @legelas: Actually you register/start the Challenge in Shopback app. After that, you can make purchase on any platform.

  • My claim was appealed and then finally declined. Frustrating that the past few eBay cashback deals with shopback have failed for me.

    I feel like i've been spending more and more time chasing up and trying to keep track of each cashback claim and offer(i've even had to resort to setting up an excel sheet to track what i purchased, the expected CB rate and current status as well as any outstanding bonus' expected. So far its helped to catch out a few items that either didn't track or bonus has mysteriously not been paid past the due date…which mysteriously turned up after lodging a claim). I hate to think of all the orders i(or other users) have made in the past where i simply couldn't be bothered to keep a record and follow up…

    • I always take a screenshot of my completed bonus transaction, send to myself on fb messenger with the account, Shop and date ( CR/SB 26.12 $10 bonus) then set a reminder on the Ozbargain deal page for when the cb is said to be approved. I couldn't use the bonus deal tracker page @hawkeye93 posted as I don't participate in all of the deals

  • $10 still not tracked, regular cashback is tracked.
    I do have another entry now (after raising this $10 as missing cashback) "We've received your order details and it is being validated by eBay Australia. You can expect confirmation by 25 Feb 2021 when our partner store ensures that you did not make any cancellation, return or exchange. Otherwise, the cashback will be adjusted or voided."

  • The manually added $10 bonus just went from pending to confirmed just now, even though the missing cashback is still under investigation. At least they are trying this time :)
