Sweet, paid 507 last year, time to claim price protection on my CC !

    • +1

How to we know if we got price protection? Is that something you had to opt in for? It's like, 60 dollars difference for me.

      • +2

My credit card I used to purchase this monitor has price protection. So I am claiming it through my Credit Card provider, nothing to do with Dell :)

    • which card is that?

      • +2

Coles Mastercard with Account Cover Plus, but they no longer offer this product as of 2018 so mine is grandfathered. Im sure there is other providers that offer similar products though.

    • If it's 'that' CC then this is not valid because it use a coupon.

  • Is this monitor able to be wall mounted?

    • Yeah keen to know too

      • It has vesa mounts yes…

    • Yes, currently have mine desk mounted

    • Yes, as it is vesa mount supported

  • +1

    Great price for great monitor

  • +1

    must not buy….

  • Too bad I ordered last Friday for $445.83 each. Guess there's nothing I can do about that.

    • +5

I personally would jump on live chat or call and see what they can do for you, they might give you a refund for the difference.

    • +5

I'm a novice at these things, but Dell claims a 30 day price match guarantee which I believe includes matching themselves in case of a future price drop.
Get in contact with Dell support and I'm 99% sure they'll refund you the difference.

      • +4

I bought the $445.83 deal at the beginning of the week. Just called customer service on +1800 812 393, quoted my order number and they have refunded the difference of this deal. Took all of 2mins…

        • I called, and they had me take screenshots of the new deal on their own website, so awaiting a response now.

        • Can you share the number you called please?

          EDIT: nvm I'm blind.

          • @chhola: Make sure you quote the coupon "LOVEKEANU" when you speak to them otherwise they don't see the discount either

        • I emailed them and was told that the $445.83 deal I took (like you guys) came with 3yr advance panel replacement and as such wasn't eligible.

Can you check if you have that also? which includes the 3 year Advance Panel exchange warranty.

          • @GLO: Yes, it does mention about "3Y Premium Panel with Advanced Exchange Service" in the invoice.

  • It gives me $439.45 when I click the link… is it just me? Or is there a way to bring it down to $408.69? Or is it already OOS?

    • +2

Use the coupon "LOVEKEANU" at checkout :)

      • Cheers! My bad!

    • +1

Add the Coupon Code "LOVEKEANU" in the cart

    • Put it in the basket, skip past the offer for additional warranty, then it will let you enter the coupon code, which will bring the price down.

  • +1

Great screen - life is so much better at 165hz

  • Great monitor. Love it!

  • Down down, prices are down (again)

  • What do you guys think if I get this with Mac mini m1?
Or do you prefer the new imac m1?
Or should I wait for the m2 versions?

    • +1

      Wait for the m4

      • Well that seems to be a long wait lol

      • +1

        Carbine?

    • You're asking a question unrelated to the deal posted. That's why he gave you that answer. LoL

      • How is it unrelated??
My initial question was if this monitor is good with mac mini 🥲

        • +1

Ahh yeah. My bad. I don't think there's any games on the Mac that will used the 144hz or 165hz.

  • +6

This is like a good chair. It won't blow your mind the first time but as soon as you go back to a cheap monitor/chair, you'll hate the cheap one.

Upgrade to the 5yr warranty @ $449.10 and it's only $1.90 more than the recent eBay deal with 5yr warranty https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/619370

    • Now down to $428.80 with the 5yr warranty via Dell eBay using code PNVDG20. Gotta be worth it for the extra 2yr warranty

  • +7

why did i buy the 250 dollar pos

    • It lost me at FHD.

  • is this any good for Xbox Series X? Looking for something ideally to use with:

    1/ work
    2/ light pc gaming
    3/ light serries x

or anyone know of any curved 32" plus monitors that be good for this?

    thank you!

    • i use this with my xbox series x and can not fault it. its looks so good and plays so well

      • does the series x detect it as a high refresh rate display (ie above 60hz)?

        • +1

          Yep.

    • I have the One X and a PC and it works on both.

I am not really getting the most out of it with the One X since it is stuck on 60fps anyway.

With gaming and work it is brilliant. 165Hz on office work and 144fps to 165fps on games, really smooth.

edit: just a callout, 144Hz on HDMI and 165Hz on DisplayPort, but Series X can't do 165fps anyway.

      • +1

but it can do 120 fps and variable refresh rate.

  • +8

My paypal just shows -$408.69…what have I done. :P

    • +4

You got youself a great monitor that is what you have done!

  • any upcoming deals on D6000?

  • I just got a used benq ex2780q… should I buy this for dual 144hz and throw away my old 27 60hz Dell??

  • looks good.

thinking of getting this or the ViewSonic VX2718-2KPC-MHD @100aud cheaper (https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/monitors/25plus-inch/878…)

specs looks the same except this is an IPS while viewsonic uses VA

    • +1

Hey mate, depends what you are going to use this monitor for. if you are using it to run a Xbox series x. then go for the dell not the viewsonic. even tho it says it can do 1440p at 120hz it cant. i had the issue and returned it for the dell and could not be happier.

  • Does this screen come with an SRGB clamp option? Extra colours are nice, but not always!

    • Nope.

      • Thanks! Sadly its a no deal for me then. And I hate saying that. The one thing missing from all these Dell screens it seems :(

        • Just wanted to reply: if have an AMD GPU you can actually fix the gamut from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/k598s8/what_are_t…

Sounds pretty damn cool IMO, though I use an nvidia so I can't demo for you.

          • @SkyArrow: Thanks & interesting read, but 'm on team Green.. hope they hurry up with a solution!
Sounds like something will need to be solved at a OS level at some stage I think as more screens move away from SRGB.

    No GSYNC?

    • +1

It has GSync yes. I use it currently with my 3080. No issues at all.

      • why not state it clearly then?? it just says AMD Freesync

        • +2

Because it's not the same. GSync uses a proprietary chip and has to pass various Nvidia validations/etc to get the certification (ie. makes the monitor cost more). GSync compatible just means it's able to do something similar on a Freesync compatible monitor without the above.

As everyone predicted, Nvidia's change a few years ago to the naming convention/etc and opening up support for Freesync monitors was bound to cause confusion for consumers.

(the above is probably oversimplified but just google "Gsync compatible vs Gsync")

    • +4

      It's gsync compatible

  • Thank you OP i have made said purchase

  • +1

it is miraculous how they've managed to keep the price of this monitor consistently low

  • well poo. was gonna go the Giga m27q but this was too good to pass up!

  • Got this through the eBay Dell sale a month or so ago with the extra warranty for just higher than this price. First impressions are great but waiting on my 5600x + 3070 build to arrive to actually game on it

  • is this better than the Gigabyte M27Q? Really wanted the KVM + PIP features…but worry about the gaming performance not as good as this dell….

  • Specific request but here it goes, does anyone with this monitor and a 20xx play warzone with DLSS comment on the performance? Been hearing it’s blurry with quality setting on.

  • Any other owners of this monitor have an issue with it changing brightness intermittently? Mine randomly raises and lowers brightness, wondering do I need to submit a warranty claim. Factory reset didn’t fix it sadface

    • See Robbie's below, but mine doesn't have any issues.

  • sickaunt - check your energy settings on the monitor and your PC, might be due to this. I use the Dell monitor software and you can set it to auto-toggle brightness and mode depending on your application (eg. video editing and gaming) - really great feature.

This monitor is awesome and the price is awesome.

  • I got a ViewSonic XG2703-GS from 2017 reckon it would be worth upgrading to the Dell?

    • Nope.

  • Was thinking about getting Samsung Odyssey G5 or Dell 27" S2721DGF. And i decided on this im gonna enjoy it alot :D

    • +1

Why did you go with this one?
Bec of Ips and higher Hz?

      • +1

        This crushes the G5.

The G7 is the real competition… and I'd pick this even if they were the same price (as the 1000R curse is goofy).

        • Yeah the 1000R curve on the samsung was a little too much for me and this monitor looks highly rated here and came in at a great price.

      • Yep basically ips and 165hz and didnt want the 1000R curve :D

  • Hey guys, what are the big difference between this and this Gigabyte G27QC 27" 165Hz QHD Curved VA $339 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/624133 ?
I mainly play games but want to watch movies on it to sometimes.
The only difference I found are that one is a VA while the one is IPS?
    Help please!

    • The only difference I found are that one is a VA while the one is IPS?

This is a pretty big difference. The Gigabyte is also curved, this is flat.

VA panels still have dark smearing issues so IPS is better for fast paced games. IPS also usually has better colours and viewing angles.

VA does have a higher contrast ratio, so it'll be better for watching movies in a dark room.

      • +1

Thanks, thats pretty much exactly what I got from watching youtube from the last hour too ;)

    • That will be the biggest and most important difference. I'd go IPS if price is the same.

    • PS check the difference in technology, but for gaming IPS, movies people might recommend VA over IPS.

  • +1

omg why is it so hard to resist spending money lol….

i know i want one more for a dual monitor set up.. but i also know i don't 'need' it.

    i'm close to caving haha.

    • +2

I'll do it if you do it.

  • Damn, crazy price for this monitor. And to think I was considering spending around $500 for it a couple of months ago.

    • Did you end up getting a new monitor?

      • Yupp, couldn't hold myself back any longer after waiting so long lmao

        • Well I'm going to get one too now. My current one is 27" 1080p with 75 hz and very bad colors. I hope this impresses me.

  • does anyone buy the extra warranty? is it necessary/useful?

  • just confirming that these are not height adjustable? Display Position Adjustments: Pivot (rotation), swivel, tilt

Im not really into mounting but the default height is always too low

    • You can adjust these up and down. I just did before ive responded

  • +1

I own one and there is limited height adjustment up to 130mm.
