@Ebaygiftcards: purchased synology from shopping express clearance ebay during after pay 15%, their selling price before discount is $888
today, they jack up the price to $950+ i forgot the exact price, but definitely above $940+

  • Ahhh. I held out in buying unifi stuff with the afterpay deal, and it's not included in this voucher.

    • +1

      What are you looking for?
Some good deals from Cable Pro as above. Lots of items are pretty low stock so you'd have to be quick

      • They don't have great feedback unfortunately.

      • Made a purchase with them and they have cancelled it and put the item back up at a higher price. Pretty scummy.

        • That's bad!
Can you complain to eBay about it? Or not worth the hassle?

          • @whitelie: I could but I know it wont do a thing. The seller pays ebay, not me. They wont penalise their sellers.

          • @whitelie: I had the exact same thing happen. You know what I reckon? Ebay stuffed up and too many items were being sold too cheaply so they gave the sellers an opt out. I bought and paid for something for $11.70 (originally ~$15.00) with the EOFY22 code and free postage (the credit is now goiing back onto my CC), now the seller has added $13 postage, so the total is $24.70 to buy. I complained to ebay, got absolutely no where, they said they can't do anything, can't even give me a one time credit for the difference. DODGY DODGY DODGY. Email received from ebay AFTER I went on chat:

            "Dear eBay Plus Member,

We understand you may have experienced issues with your recent eBay order using the coupon code ‘EOFY22’. Due to a technical issue with the coupon code, your order was not processed. Don’t worry, any payment processed using this coupon code has been reversed.

We’re pleased to confirm the correct coupon code is now active as ‘PEOFY22’ and you can use this to finalise the transaction on your item.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused as we resolved this matter.

            Many thanks,
            The eBay Customer Service Team"

            • @Abbi: I got the generic email too a little while ago. I didn't have any cancellations, just the issues with payments not going thru. Only purchased two items but both remained at the same price with free shipping.

  • Lol one seller just ended all their TV listings. What a crap sale. I should of jumped on the Oled65bx for $2595 when it was active.

    • Oops that may be me soz, they made me an offer a few days back for $75 off. I just made a counter offer of 2200 and just to see how it goes. That may have notified them to remove the listing

    • Same here. I was about to add the Hisense 55" Q8 (with code = $893 with free shipping) then did a page refresh and the TV listing had ended. LOL.

      • Same here. Just about to buy the samsung Au 8000

  • Looking for 16GB of Ram deals, anyone had any luck with this being an eligible item by any chance?

    • Lol same did you end up finding any?

      • No luck! Did you find any? :)

        • Nothing that stands out as better price then somewhere like Mwave lol! The hunt continues! Pretty sick of ebays price jacking before sales. Hopefully prime day will be good!

  • Doesn’t work on most things unfortunately. Tried iPad. Tried digital piano. So annoying.

  • Doesn’t work on Wireless1

  • I got a $2 discount on this sale. LOL its pretty bad. I wasn't able to use the afteray sales as I had a few gift card to use. but what a bummer.

  • So, had a T20 stick vac from Gearbite in basket for last week. Now gone from basket and none available at store. Hmmm

  • Not eligible at appliance online?

  • There are several items I want on eBay, but none from traditional retailers, so the discounts almost never apply. Still waiting for a 10% across the board discount. Maybe some time by 30 June.

  • glad I just went for the 10/12% sale last week then, the sellers I bought from wouldn't have been included anyway and doesn't look like I would have saved much with all this jacking!

  • when will people start downvoting this jack*ss

  • My eBay plus expired. Any tricks to get credit/gift card on renewal?

You could signup again and get a $50 voucher here if you have something in mind you'd like to buy outside of this promotion within 30 days.

      • The problem with that $50 voucher is that you cannot use any other allowed eBay codes, and you have to use it all up in one go.

        • +1

Should also note, if you refund the item due to a faulty product, you don't get $50 back.

          Learnt that the hard way…

          • @manara2323: Great tip! Thank you for sharing.

            Learnt that the hard way…

That sucks. I am guessing eBay is covered by their T&Cs in denying you the refund.

This has to be the most BS eBay price jack sale of the year. I can't believe I held off on further purchases using the Afterpay promotion for this non-sense.

    • Wiped out all my 10% off cards in the AfterPay sale . Should have bought some more 5% off and fired as well .

      • Should have bought some more 5% off and fired as well

Sweet. Where are you buying your 10% and 5% off discounted eBay gift cards?

The $500 SB Swap Celebration cards are down to 3% cashback.

        • Had a stockpile from the last Woolies deal and raided somebody else as well .
News to me SB 5% are gone back to 3% I guess : (

I bought 3 items from 3 different participating stores earlier today (checked out separately for each one) but within the next few hours received refunds from PayPal (despite the items not being out-of-stock) and emails from eBay for each of the 3 items titled "Action required: Your payment needs to be re-sent", saying the payment didn't go through. How could it not go through if PayPal issued a refund? I can also see the charges in my bank account.

I have checked out for each of the items again so will see if this happens again, but I've been using eBay for a couple of decades but have not had this happen before. The only thing these had in common is the EOFY22 code. Has anyone else had this happen?

    • +3

Yes, I have exactly the same problem. I’ve checked out and paid for the same item 3 times now (and credit card has been charged 3 times). I’ve received 2 PayPal refund notifications. I’ve also been on eBay since 2003 and never had this happen.

    • +2

Same here. Contacted eBay support and they said they've had a few reports. I repaid but that order is showing pending too - even though I repaid hours later. Worse thing is that when you repay, you have to remember to readd the coupon codes as eBay seems to be creating a new order so you could accidentally overpay…

    • Have had the same thing.

    • +1

I bet no one had the issue using Afterpay in this deal. It must be an aftermath issue with afterpay code ended last night.

There is a dedicated topic created.

      • Thanks!

      • No :( paid via Afterpay (10:30 am today), didn't go through.

    • I just checked and received same email.

    • I’m in the same boat unfortunately. Paid twice now and the have just received notification I need to pay again. Apparently the credit card refund can take 24-48 hours as well. I have never had this issue before in ~15 years of eBay use. The person on online chat noted it had been reported by a few users.

I think I’ll try again tomorrow.

    • +1

I have gotten this twice also. On both occasions the items were relisted at a higher price.

    • Has happened to me just now as well. Order via PayPal, card gets charged, then hours later recieve PayPal refund notification and eBay message saying Action required for payment.

I assumed it was a shitty seller, but from this post I guess it's worse than that…

    • +1

Contacted eBay Plus support just now with the same issue and they have already escalated - it is a system wide problem.

    • Same boat. Paid for two different items from different sellers, used different cards and both came back saying to re-send the payment. Both are still pending in my bank transactions.

Never had an issue with these sellers or eBay before.

    • I had the exact same thing happen. • eBay increasingly abused ACL by allowing Chinese sellers to scams Australians. I'm in dispute with eBay about recently purchase, delivery date was estimated about month, but after payment seller informed me that normally it will arrive in 90 days. eBay firmly protect Chinese seller. Even to have contact with ebay I used 5 years old email address, with I got back to then. Paypal 2 days back forward conversation endet up with some $$ credit to me, but Istill not ended, cos I requested to investigate issue and let me know how it will outcome.

    • It may take 90 days indeed from my experience. Just wait till the indicated last day before refund request.

      • No, Alemienla K. from eBay Customer Service do not hesitate to demonstrate that their relations with seller more important than Australian Law, ebay can afford to ignore it, cos america did it with us with no doubt that they have right for it.

  • Hoping for more dollar deals on tomorrow morning.

  • Be careful when using multiple eBay gift cards. Twice now I've had purchases not go through but the gift card balances go to zero. Been a few weeks now but I'm still waiting for the "automated" refunds. There are a ton of glitches on eBay atm and it only seems to be getting worse.

  • can you add PFYS20 and also add a gift card?

    • Yes

Had to chat with Managed Payment Services on the Ebay live chat and they fixed it.

          • @atom1319: What do you mean they fixed it? What did they do to fix it? Did you make payment again and it didn't show payment pending after a couple minutes post order confirmation? Please tell us when. Ta

Anyone having issues paying for an item? It keeps getting refunded via PayPal

    • Yep, check the comments above. Lots of issues with this code for some reason

    • Did you just make payment this Tue morning? If yes then payment pending issue still not resolved! Ebay techs onshore must be waking up to this mess scrambling to get it resolved with their teams overseas.

    • Yes. I'm having issues with EOFY22 on a vacuum. It seems to be due to the promo code. eBay support are useless.

Brief summary: I paid with PayPal, eBay refunded, then emailed and said the payment needed to be put through again. I paid with debit card. My bank account shows "pending", but eBay emailed again saying that the payment didn't go through and needed to be put through again. There's no option to pay again on the item. I contacted support who were very slow and had no idea what was going on. and they said it needed to be looked at by the specialist team, which could take up to 72 hours. I gave up and contacted the seller and asked to cancel the purchase.

    • The new code PEOFY22 seems to be working now.

  • I have made a purchase of the same item from 3 separate sellers using the 22% off ebay plus code. All 3 of these purchases have been refunded without reason. I have made one purchase not using the discount code and it has not been refunded. No deal from me as I am unable to make a purchase go through using the code.

Had this message from support team:

'Thank you for your time and patience. I would like to inform you that When some AU members are attempting to make a purchase, it seems to go through and accept payment. Then, the order is cancelled and it requests payment again. This is related to the promo code EOFY22. Marketing campaign has been suspended for that Promo code. The AU Marketing Teams are discussing a quick launch of a new promo code.'
