  • Hmm this is tempting to use for a bit once my 12 month Boost plan expires - but I will be giving up a month of Boost.
    Still 6 months for $25 is amazing.

    • How long do you have to be away from Boost in order to port back in to be called a new customer?

      • Should be 30 days - that's the case for Telstra at least.
        I plan on going back to Boost once this plan is done, that way I can use a discounted starter kit again.

        • So if you port out for a day and port back in, this promo won't work.. How do they check though? Is it checked on the basis of phone number or the ID that you submit? I assume it's the number.

          • @virhlpool: They'd have a history of the phone number in their system.
            For Telstra's port in deals, they can see in their system if you've been with them in the last 30 days. They can defintely see if you've literally ported out a day before, and may reject giving you the port in bonus based on that.
            I'm not 100% sure that 30 days is right for Boost but it seems logical.

      ive done it before - it doesnt transfer your number straight away since it takes time for the sim to arrive. So will only transfer once u go to activate

      with Amaysim system you have to choose the porting option when you order your sim. The sim won't be activated until you complete the porting process once you received your sim. To comply with the cashback T&C you have 30days to do that.

      Amaysim system doesn't allow you to change from new number to porting so you have to choose porting when ordering your SIM.

      You can change from porting to getting new SIM later though. I usually use this to delay activation because if your account has been ID verified every new sim you order will come pre-activated.

      Official response from amaysim:

      The answer is no they can’t order the SIM first and then port the number.

      The number porting happens after they get the SIM card and proceed with porting but the system needs to identify if they are porting or getting a new number so when they receive the SIM they get correct instructions.

      This is not a Retail SIM and please note getting a Retail SIM will not allow them to get the offer since they did not use the Cashrewards link and hence the sale is not tracked.

    • Last time I ported to Amaysim, when starting the activation, they asked if I wanted to change anything. I guess that's the chance for us to decide.

      If you port now, it won’t actually port until you receive the sim and activate it.

    I'd like to keep my current number but don't want to port now, I think it may disconnect my service till I receive the sim…what do i do??

    • That would be incredibly stupid since postage takes 3-7 days, what did they expect people to do in the meantime.

    • Last time I did porting after received the new amaysim sim card. Even when purchased it, I put the number that I want to porting in. So should be fine.

      Porting process won't happen until you login and complete it whenever you want.

      I ported in the last deal. Your number doesn’t actually disconnect until your sim arrives and you active it. I waited a couple of weeks until my credit expired until I activated it and then it disconnected and ported my new bee only once I did that.

    Thanks for another awesome offer TA. Just bought one and cashback tracked instantly. Was planning to switch from Catch Connect to Boost in late August but this made me change my mind. I'll get around 5 months for $25. Can't beat that.

    To check by first 3,000 redemptions, doesn't matter if we activate on receiving SIM or on July 16, just as long as we make the purchase of the SIM pack in the first 3,000?

          That's impossible. If you click the link in this post, then click 'Shop Offer', the price is automatically discounted to $75. I can only assume you clicked 'Shop Now' from the merchant page and found the 'non-exclusive' $99 discounted SIM and purchased that. I'd suggest jumping on chat and cancelling the order then going again - unless you're happy to be $24 out of pocket :)
