  • Is there any way to get a screenshot of a advertised price on TGGC or of a receipt so I can try and price match? I don't have access to TGGC unfortunately :(

    • +9

      Added into the OP :)

      • +8

Now THIS is what should get someone an OAM.

      • Do you have a receipt for the 65" C1 by any chance? Seems like Harvey Norman willing to match it but need something more formal

    • +1

Unless you met a really nice sales guy, otherwise they will verify and because it’s publicly available, they will turn you down.

      • What do you mean? In that case are there any free ways to gain access to TGGC?

        • wondering which retailer are you going to price match TGGC.
normally they price match TGG for sure, but TGGC? i really want to know.

          • @ce5himm: Was going to call TGG sales line and ask them to price match it, last week I got them down to $6300 plus delivery for the 77 c1 and they said they'd do interest free as well

            • @Deeseeee: ok, good to know, they are price matching between different teams. i still think you need to talk to the right person to be able to make it happen. otherswise there is no point for the commerical access.

              • @ce5himm: Yeah true, worth a try though I guess. Unless there's a way to access TGGC for free?

                • +1

                  @Deeseeee: Sunsuper works.

                  • @ce5himm: Yeah but I didn't really want to make an unnecessary super account in case its a pain to close and causes headaches, plus I assume you'd have to wait a while to get login access to TGGC any way

                    • @Deeseeee: It's worth it

                      • +1

@Oauiii: First GG store i called beat the price, 6000 flat including delivery i suggest people do the same, don't think interest free is available for it although I saw it offered the option to pay through gift cards or store credit. I'll upload a pic of the receipt when I purchase it

      • In my experience most ggs in vic will match the comercial price

Incredible prices… Do I need to upgrade my 65Cx to the 77C1πŸ€”

    • I was thinking the same thing πŸ˜‚

    • +1

      Sell me the cx

      • +1

        Will you offer $6005?
That'd make my side very easy with management

    • +2

I'm going to go from 65C8 to 77C1, prices are going down real fast gives me confidence it'll fall even further, can only imagine black friday / xmas sales thats when I'll pull the trigger

      • Good plan, think I'll give it a couple years, absolutely love my CX.

      • Awesome Im in the same boat haha. I currently got a 65 C8 and damm its still so good! 77 C1 will sure be the dream upgrade :)

      • What do you do with the old one, gumtree?

  • +2

Sick price on the 65" so soon..

  • hey, any chance you check the prices for the Samsung Q70A?

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/samsung-75-inches-q70a-4k-uhd…

    • +3

Doesn't seem like they have many specials on them yet:

      Samsung 85" Q70A 4K UHD QLED Smart TV QA85Q70AAWXXY $3395
      Samsung 65" Q70A 4K UHD QLED Smart TV QA65Q70AAWXXY $2069
      Samsung 55" Q70A 4K UHD QLED Smart TV QA55Q70AAWXXY $1633

      • Thanks for checking. Appreciate it :)

        • +1

Sorry just confirming the 85 is $3995 :)

    • +1

Hey there, I've checked my login and it is not on there. Only 55", 65" and 85 "models.

      Edit: woops too slow

  • +3

    Damn that's a good price on the 65" C1.

Hmm, I've got a $20 TGG voucher, maybe this is a good excuse to use it ;)

    • some tgg vouchers can not be used on the commerical site, in that case it won't be an excuse. LOL

      • I was wondering if you can pay using TGG gift cards on the commercial website? I can't see anywhere to add them, so I assume not?

        • You can't

  • Do they have the 77 G1 on sale?

    • +1

      $6863.00

  • I don't suppose we know if the C1 are using the new panel yet or only the G1?

    • It's a lottery, not sure on Aus delivery, but for US, it's below 50% form reports on AVS forums that have the EVO (WBE) panel in the C1.

    • from what I read, australia got the late shipments so all (if not mostly) new panels here

      • Source?

    • +2

Doesn't matter if the C1 you get has the G1 panel, because it's not certified to run at the higher brightness etc from the manual user firmware renaming hack, if that's what you're after? LG released a statement which basically said this will void your warranty. I'd avoid "overclocking" your C1 if you get the same panel as the G1.

      • Thanks. I hadn't read into it that much, but was not impressed by what seemed like quite the panel lottery associated with the CX and G1 is not really on the horizon for my wallet.

      • +1

Good info here. Also you will most likely not be able to notice the extra brightness from C1 to G1 unless side by side. Even then 10% extra brightness isn't perceived by the human eye as 10% brighter. Perceived difference will be even less. One thing that's really attractive about the G1 is that it's built to wall mount (flush against the wall)

        • +1

It's 20% brighter, but yes, you don't see anywhere near all of that, although all say it is noticeable, especially full screen brightness.
Other plus side is that it consumes less energy.

          • @snuke: Oh ok. I don't own either TV. Just say them in store. Stand corrected.

            • +3

@Xastros: In store is the worst comparison for detail. They are all most likely on Vivid mode, frequently under stupidly bright lights, and play just demo content.

  • How much is the 55'?

    • 55C1 is $2573

  • Whoa, I just bought a C1 from them for $3500. Not sure they offer a price guarantee or similar. I have contacted them, but if anyone can offer some advice.

    • Same here, did you find out?

  • 65" best value! Is any cashback possible on TGG commercial?

    • No

    • Sadly can't pay by gift cards either

  • +6

How I wish someday I'll have $6k to spend on a TV.

  • +1

Wow that's a really good price. C9 and C1 have definitely had way better sales than the CX ever did!

I got one of the last CX 65" for around $3,200, still happy with it but yeah would have just waited and gone C1 if I was smart!

Though I do prefer CX's WebOS 5.0 interface.

    • I got my CX 65" at an insanely good price but seeing this C1 price has me slightly regretful I didn't just wait a few months lol

  • Damn that’s a great price on the 65”!

  • Looks like the best way would be to get a G'day Membership for $50 if I don't have a GGC access already. Does anyone have experience of this?

    • +1

That's how I got my access some time ago. The G'Day membership has expired but I still have access to GGC.

    • Will this grant instant access?

  • that 65 c1 tiptop price

    • +2

65c1 is the best value still

      • +1

        Yup. C1 77 not worth 2 x 65!!

        • +1

Double the price but 40% larger. Obviously not the best bang for buck but the 77 is decent if you have a room that's too big for a 65

    • The C1 65 inch is cheaper than the A1 and is the better model?

  • +2

Every time I see these bargains pop up from GGC I get excited but then I realize I like a lot of don't have access to them because I am not with any of the organizations listed.
In that respect they really should be marked "TARGETED" as not everyone can access them

    • +8

just create a free sunsuper account yo

      • This is the answer I was looking for, thanks!

        • +1

Thank you this worked and I now have access. Picked up a 65" C1

          • @buy swap sell: Hey I couldn't register inside the portal, did it work for you? the recaptcha doesn't show up for me.

            • @conza: Yes it didn't seem to work for me until about 15 minutes later I got an email saying it is now registered. Was definitely buggy but eventually all worked and registered.

      • Go on……

      • +1

Just tried to create an account about 4 times and every time it just tells me something went wrong…

        • yes me too :(

          • +1

@buy swap sell: It just randomly worked for me after about 8 tries. Make sure you open and read the Terms and Conditions when submitting the application, as that is the only thing I did different on the last run.

      • +1

Yeah for those joining me, you need to do a detailed setup and fill it in.

I'm not so sure this is a good idea, this is agreeing to open a Super account with them, there's no fees or repercussions?

        • +1

Umm yeah nah. You theoretically can sign up to Good Guys Commercial from within the portal, however the form doesn't work, well so much for that…

      • +1

I tried this but it says it will take 4-5 days for my account to be setup. Tv will be all sold out by then.

    • you a member of a union? If so, join through Union Shopper

  • Thanks
    ordered the 65in!

  • +5

    Bloody he'll 65 C1 under 3k after a few months is crazy.

    Regretting buying an x9000h now

  • +2

Damn you OzBargains!!! Just bought a 65" C1

  • I would be jumping on that 65" C1 straight away if I had access to GGC!

  • +1

Wonder if it is a price error, its so cheap!

  • -1

Bought a c1 last week that's still in the box from the good guys. Anyone had luck with a refund?

    • You get 30 days for return policy for unopened items.

      • Don't really want to return it, just get the price matched.

        • Return it. Buy it again:)

          • @iNeed2Pee: Haha I think by the time I paid the delivery back to the store I wouldn't be very far ahead.

            • @kulprit: That's ok, maybe give them a call and see how you go. I payed $3500 for this last month and thought it was a good deal 🀣. Probably why I'm salty af right now.

              • +1

@iNeed2Pee: When you made the 🀣 facial expression, were you also demonstrating your username?

    • Several people have had the difference refunded yes, but that was JB and normal GG

This is why I don't believe in the EOFY sales.
Especially if sales like this drop the day after.

    • Need to get those tax return dollars sucked out of our pockets.

  • damn, bought one 2 weeks ago. Will never buy anything from TGG.
    Always like this.

  • OLED 77" C1 is USD $3500 on Best Buy

Occasionally on TV discounts we get down to the USA price.

However on OLEDs they are still gouging us pretty badly.

After all we're closer to Asia and send them our iron ore so should be cheap.

    • We live in Australia

  • Pulled the trigger, 65" C1, GO!!!

  • Anyone mind finding out the price of 65" version of the x90j on TCCG commercial?
