Visa is a financial company thats been at it for a very long time. Taking a cut without providing that much of a "service"

You do realise that every credit card provider takes a cut, so do the banks who issue the credit card.
So does Apple if you use Apple pay.
You do also realise that the service Visa and others provide us literally the entire universally accepted payment / clearing processing platform so that credit cards are a thing.
Without them their would be no universally accepted credit cards.

I don't even have any VISA cards since Citibank moved from VISA to Mastercard. Have just removed by AMEX. See if I get any banners.

I mostly use gift card, and going to use zip instead. Pay zip back using my visa. No difference.
its better to purchase big ticket items with a credit card that comes with purchase protection, in case you need it.
i think bank/insurance will deny any claims if we are to use BNPL.

I think there's more to the story. There is no way Visa charges more than Zip or Unionpay (overseas-issued cards)
Mine doesn't require any spend at all. First 17,500 eligible accounts.
So how does this work. Bought something a yesterday that would apply. If i'm eligible would it just be automatic? Or would then send an email if you're eligible.

I did on the second time the promo appear on my Amazon home screen, this one I received confirmation email about the promo.
Also received the first one that via online Chat with Amazon, no confirmation email for this one, I just asked Chat.
i had to follow up via chat and was given $20 credit
