Yes. Change your username to "Apple Iphone 12". Samsung would love to convert an apple user.

Update: Looks like I was using the wrong live chat (I went through the one where you click on the device and then open the chat). Cheers to Heizenberg for the tip to access live chat on the Samsung home page! 😊

So has anyone actually got charged 60 bucks admin fee for not sending in the phone? There are people who mention this fee but so far I haven't seen a single person who actually said they got charged this fee.

    • There has none but now they changed their policy

      • OMG, Yes that's what I keep reading about but my question remains. Has anyone actually got charged this fee?

        • Doesnt make any sense if they change their policy and not do it.

      • +1

I emailed them today about not returning the phone on the last deal, and I was told I would be charged the trade in value plus the $60 admin fee.

    • 60 bucks admin fee

It is new in this deal.

  • Anybody don't have phone to trade can consider EPP if you have account , if you want S21U

Can someone tell me how much the RRP price of the phone is if i buy it outright?

And how much will I need to pay if i trade in my iphone 11 pro 512GB.

    • And how much will I need to pay if i trade in my iphone 11 pro 512GB.

You can just click the deal's link and try it yourself.

Rather kill myself then use samsung website on my iphone lol

        • You planning on taking your iPhone to the great beyond or have you found a way to come back to life after death. Got a link to this deal? /s

        • Option B, option B!!! Do a flip while you're at it

  • +1

"Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment"

    • That happens if an incorrect trade in code is entered

      • The error comes up after merely entering the correct first letter, 'S', so that can't be the case.

        • Did you put credit card in the trade app?

          • @superforever: I get the same error. I ran the program on my phone and selected the option where I didn't need to put CC details, took a screenshot and tried to put on website.

            • @krisspy:

where I didn't need to put CC details, took a screenshot and tried to put on website.

The code won't work this way you have to select the other option that you can enter your credit card before generate the code.

That option is for in store trade up but won't have the extra bonus.

          • @superforever: Yep, I had to. You don't get the code without it.

    • Just click anywhere else after entering the code and wait for a few seconds. If still doesn't work, click back to go to previous page, and then click forward to go back to the trade in entery page, it should work.

    • I get the same thing. Anyone work out how to stop it from coming up? Clicking elsewhere doesn't seem to work.

      • +1

I just entered the whole code and ignored it and it works

  • My phone has a small dent in the back and hence not eligible to trade. What do I do? Can I still use the trade up option by saying there is no physical damage and not send the phone? Or may be send the phone and if the reject it do I have to pay only the amount the phone was worth or the bonus 500+300 as well?

    • Just say your phone has no damage, don't send it in - then you pay trade-in value + $60 admin fee.

  • this actually seems like a good use of my old s8+

  • Cant get through on livechat at all

  • How long does the $50 sign up code take to arrive? I signed up hours ago

    • In most cases it never arrives - see many older posts on this issue whenever a Samsung deal comes up.

      • What was that link that generates gmail accounts? Any idea?

    • +2

Gmail never works. Try with outlook or live email and check the spam folder it usually comes up in a couple hours.

      • +1

you are right. been waiting on gmail for 2 days and yahoomail got it in less than 30min. ridiculous!

  • +1

Is it worth to upgrade s10 plus to s21?

    • +1

      YES!

I did it 1 month ago, camera is WAY BETTER, faster at focusing and way more clearer and shaper!!!!!

My S10 battery lasted approx 7 hours, i had to keep it on charge. My battery with my s21 last around 13-14 hours now! I know its a new phone but I recon its worth it.

      • Was it s10 or s10 plus that you had?

        • S10 128gb, I wanted the S20 but I decided I'll wait for the S21.

Purchased it approx maybe 1 month ago and never regretted it. The only regret mayybbeee is that I didn't wait for the S22 but I'll cross that path next year lol

  • +2

ok i bit the trigger after not getting the chat code and not receiving $50 email that signed up for 2 hours ago. S21 128 gb will cost me $609 taking into account $60 admin fee they are going to charge me for not returning the phone. Still cheaper than $624 i paid for at telstra deal but never received it due to their address issue. Thanks Op for this deal

    • Has your order progressed past the approval stage yet?

  • What was the site generating emails please?

  • Is anyone getting throught the trade up part?
not getting past Samsung ID for some reason. very frustrating..

    • just got another one

  • I tried 3 phones for trade-in, MI 9T, LG v30+ and Samsung S7 but none of them were accepted by the app :-(.

  • +3

Thanks OP, got the ultra 256 for 1059. After including the non - return and 60 dollars admin fees.

  • does samsung phone still have the discoloration / green screen issue after 1 or 2 years of usage?

    • +1

This happen with my note 9 after warranty ran out and samsung replace the screen and put a new battery in for free.

  • Paid $649 for s21+ I maneged to get a chat code from the second operator without mentioning trade in or anything (first didn't give me anything)
Shame for the $50 newsletter, I tried with 4 different email addresses a week ago with no luck

    • where is the livechat? I can't see it on the page

    • how did you get to the live chat? Can't see it at the moment

      • At the bottom of the page you see a man in a circle.

  • +1

I got a s9 but from US so its not valid. Any other way to use this offer?

  • I have an S9 and even though the website says it is trade-in value is $30 when I run the Trade-UP app it says "Based on this evaluation, this device is not eligible for the Samsung Trade-Up Program." It even says that the "Device is in good physical condition" Is anyone else getting this problem?

I haven't been able to get a trade in number to enter online.

    • May be your device is non-Australian?

      • How would i check that? It was from Optus so should be~

        • +1

If it was from Optus, the region should be Australia. So perhaps it's something else.

        • May be Optus locked?

          • @superforever: also not Optus locked? :(

            • +1

@mowgli: I did happen with the trade up app sometime, we have no idea why even aussie stock.

              • @superforever: do you reckon someone from chat will be able to sort it out manually?

        • Has bootloader been unlocked or installed custom ROMs?

  • Anyone know if s21 ultra 5g is dual or single sim?

    • The ones linked here are single sim AFAIK.

    • I have the S21 Ultra. It's not what would be traditionally referred to as dual sim. It does however allow for 1 x physical sim and 1 x esim. These can be used in a dual sim manner. (E.g. set one for data etc)

  • +3

Looks like Samsung is really desperate to get rid of their s21 range eh… I'm for one will not buy due to no microsd card slot.

    • get the 256gb edition

      • Still not a microSD is it?

      • Apps alone takes almost half of it.. Unless Samsung provide free cloud service.. They can stuff it.

  • Getting the following message after creating a Trade In ID "Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment"

  • How do I get to this Live chat? I don't get that option.

  • +1

I have a spare $50 code if anyone needs one.

    • plz thanks a lot

      • +1

        Done :)

        • +2

Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool!

  • Would appreciate it if anyone has got a spare trade up code. My pixel 2 isn't eligible anymore :(

  • Did anyone back up the old device before install the trade in app (step 1)? Or just couldn't be bothered and went straight to step 2?

    • +1

      Step 2

  • Hi I'd appreciate it if anyone has a spare $50 code from the newsletter subscription! I've had no luck with my emails so far

  • +2

Please note, it seems samsung is charging an admin fee of $60 + whatever trade in price you got if the device isn't returned. This is the first time seeing this fee.

I wasn't charged an admin fee of $60 but maybe they changed their fees cause people weren't handing in their phones.

    • are you 100% sure because they never mention this when i put my trade in at least the should mention before charging people

      • +1

        That's why I said "seems"

2 people already commented about the 60 dollar fee

        • can anyone 100% confirm it?

          • +1

@jack smith: In the terms and conditions it states "5.6 If You:
            (a) fail to return Your Existing Device to Us within seven days after the date on which You
receive Your New Samsung Device, You may be charged a Device Non-Return Fee and a
Device Non-Return ADMINISTRATION FEE in accordance with clause 6.2(a) below"

But it doesn't state the exact amount as far as I can see. Hopefully that helps!

            • +1

@Twirlypiglet: Thanks hopefully it's not more than 60

              • @jack smith: My thoughts too. Good luck

                • @Twirlypiglet: Was anyone else having a hard time getting the 200 off for cracked devic.at first I was told I would get a code within 24 hours. So I went on another live chat and they told me it will take up to 2 business days?

            • @Twirlypiglet: I bought an s21 a few months ago with the same scheme. I didn't send in the old phone but still got the trade in bonus. I was charged the trade in value. I don't recall seeing that fee then however I saw the $60 admin fee when looking in the Ts and Cs a few weeks ago.

            • @Twirlypiglet: what if you cancel credit card before they charge the $60?

  • if i used my cracked s20 and sent a photo with the imei into Samsung do you think they will notice if i send it in again.
also will the 50 off email newsletter work on a base s21 wich would come out to 250 1050-500for trade in -300 for cracked phone= 250

    • Talk to a different chat agent. Some ask you to verify with a photo and some don’t.
      Goodluck.

  • Anyone have a spare $50 newsletter code, have tried numerous emails many times but no joy.
    Thanks

    • Try yahoo or a live email.
      Should work.

  • +1

I spoke to a Rep for only a couple of minutes. I said I am thinking about an iPhone 13 or a Galaxy S21. She offered me a $100 code.

    • Did you have to send a photo of your phone and IMEI or they just gave it to you

      • Neither. I didn't even say that I have a current Samsung phone. She gave me the code in chat and didn't email

  • anyone have a list of trade-in phones? don't have a phone for the trade in trying to work out cheapest option.
