  • What the heck is going on…is it just me or every one

I got 1st 21 Ultra21 256 GB- on 7st Sept when first time tradein came for 1200 after tradein- Still waiting for delivery- Apparently its seem to have got lost in transit as delievery date shows 14 Sep…

2nd Order today morning same for 800- The order shows still processing….

  • Must be trying to tempt people who are waiting for the Pixel 6

  • Hi OzBargainers,
so ultimately, what is the cheapest price you got , minus tradein your device for S21+ or S21?
i am about to place an order, so would like to make sure, i am not missing out on anything.

    Cheers

I know you're just memeing but I tried my S20+ 5G model with a little chip on the bottom left corner and it said $5. lol.

    • Extra $500, the $200 for S21 or $300 for S21+ already deducted from the phone price

    • My total cost is 629 if I trade in S21 +

  • I'm too tired to figure this one out, but if I trade in my S10+ 128GB for an S21 Ultra 512GB, the final price is:

    S10+ value: $105
    Bonus discount: $500
    RRP Discount: $200

    1849-105-500-200= $1044?

    • 1849 already included RRP discount, so only $500 + trade value.

      • Ah, not really a huge benefit then - my EPP has the S21 Ultra 512 for $1396.

S10+ are going for $250+ on eBay.

        • my EPP has the S21 Ultra 512 for $1396.

That is cheap, how much is S21+ 256 on EPP?

          • @superforever: $1,071.85

            • @giventofly: Thanks, sorry to bother you how about S21 Ultra 128 and 256?

              • @superforever: 128GB S21U: $1201.85
                256GB S21U: $1266.85

                • @giventofly: Thanks I think they are not selling well and S22 is coming.

                  128GB S21U: $1201.85
                  256GB S21U: $1266.85

@superforever: I haven't seen any interesting phone that would tempt me away from the S10+ - closest is the A52s

Keen to see the Pixel 6 Pro, but if it doesn't come in 512GB, I am not biting.

  • S22 is coming soon…Maybe you could wait a bit. Price is definitely good.

    Thanks OP
    S21 for $379

    • What you have traded?

That is good price but you are not going to return phone and seems they will charge $60 admin fee this time.

      • How did you get chat bonus? like you ask for it directly?

    • How sir? Can you please guide us

  • Is the Pixel 6 gonna be much better?

    • It'll be better,
But won't get deals like this.

      • Pixels are always fairly cheap, or drop in price super fast

        • how long after new release date their drops in price start? i do need a new phone but waiting for reviews and price sales?

  • So I am I right in thinking it's $800 off any phone provided you trade in SOMETHING? Or have J got it backwards…?

    • Or have J got it backwards…?

Read what we are talking about here.

    • +1

If your phone qualifies for a trade in Sammy slaps an extra $800 for the ultra, $700 only for base s21. Return your phone or not, up to your discretion.

    • +2

While it's not ideal, but not sending the phone, paying a $60 fee, and getting a $500 discount (effectively $440) a nothing to sneeze at either. Not worth a neg IMHO.

      • -7

It was https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/650235 $1000 trade in bouns just couple days ago without admin fee (And there have no admin fee before) now they being doggy thats why Im neg

        • +3

Lolz. Calling them dodgy for charging you when you do the dodgy by not sending the phone. Classic

    • +1

They already giving you $500 trading bonus on top of $10, for your crappy $200-$300 phone ? Still not a deal ?

      • -4

Bouns is Bouns, they sell their phone at almost RRP price thats why they need bouns offer or discount( or both) make people want to buy their phones,no matter its called discount or bouns.
And this is out dated phone which Iphone 13/Pxiel 6/S22 is coming out, they have over stocked need to get rid off,you can see they offer bouns almost every month and final price from $199-$549

        • +4

Well if this isn't for you, move along to the next deal. 🤷

  • +1

very tempting but still happy with my S9+
    I just can't let go of the 3.5mm jack…

    • +2

Yeah, me too man. I use it for my car aux, as it don't have bluetooth audio.

I could get a cig transmitter, I know.

      • OMG, +1 , 100% THIS!
gets used with 1more triple drivers and the car aux.
I don't like the USB adaptors or BT.
tried them on the s20 and had issues.
        .

      • Get a Bluetooth transmitter to the ciggie lighter. I've got it, super cheap and so much more convenient.

        • Like I said mate, I know. Haha

          • @sh4hp: Can't help those that don't help themselves 😄

            • +4

@orly: You know what they say, You can lead a horse to OzB but you can't make him get a bargain.

      • Damn, my car doesn't have an aux nor a tape player. It was too advanced at the time with only a 1 disc player.

        • Been there mate. And even worse, the CD needed to be a music CD (so max 15 songs). It couldn't read data CD (which utilises the 700mb storage).

It is interchangeable though. I remember getting an after market front unit with a USB port of the same size, and just replacing the OEM unit.

    • Get a Bluetooth headset or USB C to 3.5mm adopter from AliExpress? 🤷

      • And lose quick charge/simultaneous listen and charge?

        • oh well, wait till 2050, there is a rumor, they going to add the 3.5mm adopter back on for popular demand ;)

          • @boomramada: Sheesshhhhh, didn't know adopters came in different sizes as well. I thought they were one parents fit all! LoL

  • If you're having issues with trade up then do it through the trade up app. You'll be asked to continue online, then you'll need to put in CC details and continue again online. You will then be able to use the code given to you.

    • Nope. Glad you had better success than me though. :)

  • Anyone in the same boat as me? I order a few days ago without the 200 off RRP.

    What options do I have?

    • Take it like a man and leave it
    • Kick and scream about the bonus 200 off RRP??
    • Cancel order but I cannot reorder as my trade ID is already applied to previous order.

I ordered 2 days ago and still have not recieved the phone nor even the tracking details.

    • re-order and return the other phone before you open it

    • I'm in the same boat.
I have my phone but still in the box.
Seems like too much hassle to send back and try and get codes to buy again.
And then have to wait for refunds.

      • What would be funny is if I use the new phones imei as the trade in to get maximum trade in value lol

    • Credit card price protection perhaps?

      • I dont have it. Just going to cry me a river and move on hahaa

  • Tempting but holding out for pixel 6 :(

  • +2

Anyone still bothering waiting for the chat.. keep getting kicked out every 10 mins or so..

    • yes…

    • Keep at it, I just got my code. Make sure you tell them you have an existing Samsung phone and you're thinking of upgrading.

      • I said that and they asked me to send pictures of the damaged phone along with IMEI number. The chat person said there was no way of getting a code right away. How did you manage that? :O

        • +1

Ah my agent never bothered asking that. Perhaps try again.

          • @Ryanek: Thanks!

            • +1

@aurthohin: Don't forget to get the $50 newsletter voucher. I used my wifes email address and got it within an hour.

              • @Ryanek: Thanks mate! :)
I have tried three different agents, no luck so far. All of them said it was for damaged phones only. I told the first one I had an old phone with cracked screen, and send them pics etc. But that'd take 3/4 days to process i guess. The other two just told me that if I don't have a damaged phone, there's no way to get a code now.

                • @aurthohin: You are asking the wrong chat.

Go to the product page in the link above and click on the little guy in the bottom right hand corner.. they provide the voucher without the email/IMEI process

                  • @elgrande: Thanks! That makes perfect sense but I could not find the chat pop up on the product page. :(

                  • @elgrande: I don't see a chat or little guy in the bottom right hand corner. Can you provide the link to the product page?

      • Hi,

I am completely new to this Samsung trade in business. Could you please tell me which website do I go to to start the chat and ask for the code.

        • There should be a chat button bottom right of the product page. I'm wondering if they've disabled it because I can't seem to get it to pop up anymore.

      • Thanks.. got there in the end.

        • is the live chat still there? I can't see it

          • +1

@Heizenberg: Could be after hours - try again tomorrow morning.

  • Anyone getting this error when putting the trade-in code: "Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment"

    • See my post above. Do it all through the trade up app.

      • do you mean where it says at the end "Trade Up" press that then takes you to the web page? tried that same error

  • Trying to get the chat discount code. Finally got through and a Samsung rep said it's only available to those with damaged phones out of warranty that need repair. When I said a friend received a voucher just because they wanted to upgrade they said 'no that's not the case'. Funny thing is, I am legit trying to upgrade my S7 for my husband. Any tips or tricks for chat success?

    • +1

Just keep trying different reps. What was the name of the rep you dealt with?

      • Thanks so much. Will keep trying. Sorry I don't remember who I was chatting to - I closed the window in such a hurry I forgot to get their name (and save a copy of the convo too).

    • -1

Someone mentioned on the first page that you need to say it's damaged 🙄

      • Yeah I know - I read that and tried that too before posting my comment last night (I'm subscribed to this thread for updates). 😊
They wanted the IMEI and pics of the phone itself. Gave up because it's too much bother (also does that mean it doesn't qualify for a trade in bonus - although it looks like S7 are excluded anyways - comment below). It's just frustrating as others have barely had to do a thing to receive a code. Good luck to those getting the deal.

    • +1

Only question I was asked is if I have a samsung phone at the moment, which I do, then he handed over the code

    • +1

Try again. Say your phone is cracked and won't qualify for trade in.
