Choosing to pay with Paypal will incur a surcharge of 1.5%

    • +2

And 1.95% Credit Card Fee on VISA, MasterCard & American Express and 3.6% on Diners Club.

I wonder if choosing Direct Deposit or BPAY will still be considered a valid order?

      • Even with the surcharges you are essentially getting the item for $0.45 (paypal), $0.585 (AMEX, Visa, MC) and $1.08 (Diners).

how do i get rid of the $2.75 postage fee ?

    • it defaults to including postage insurance - there is a check box you need to untick.

I did a dummy run earlier and found it then, its on the first checkout screen I think.

    • press 'remove' underneath it. you don't need it

      • thanks for your help. I'll try when the site is working again but it'll probably be sold out

    • +2

Lol, what they should've done is put an extra 0 at the end of the price, and see how many people would've fell for it!!

      $300 - $30cashback = $270 what a bargain :P

  • I can see someone on NBN hitting F5 over and over… trollface… "Problem?"

  • +2

who wants to start the neg? :D

Its in my cart, can't see a checkout page on high speed LAN.

  • anyone got it? website so slow since 2pm .. :)

  • Sheesh. Stupid site is down…

Why make an offer if they can't handle the orders?

  • -1

I wonder if they're running down to the warehouse and unpacking a couple of servers and hooking them up?

You'd think a company selling IT stuff would have a clue about running a website.

    • +2

      (removed)

    • +2

To be fair, it wouldn't make much sense to plan their server infrastructure to meet the demands of a once-a-year surge in traffic.

They could pay $x for a server which meets their requirements 364.5 days a year, or they could pay $10x to build a cluster of web and database servers to handle extreme load.

Plus chances they're making very little (if any?) profit on the sale of these items — so it's hard to expect them to throw tons of money at it.

  • site ded

  • Paid with PayPal (and got payment receipt from PayPal), but after being redirected back to mwave.com.au I've been stuck on "Processing your order…" for 5 minutes now. No order confirmation from Mwave yet. I'm going to be pretty pissed if I don't get one when payment has already been deducted. :(

  • +4

Sheesh, all I wanted was to buy a USB stick jeez :p

  • Loads slowly on my IE but not at all on Chrome..

  • ping is over 500ms. haha

  • Pretty sure I got one, waiting for checkout haha…

  • Ozbargained yet?

    • Ozbargained 15mins before it started lol

      • A true OzBargainer understands that the 2pm start time is at CHECK OUT, not at putting item in order basket.

Always start the transaction process a little early, and then by the time you get to entering in payment details it's begun.

  • What a promo. They probably only need to sell about 5 items over the hour, yet they get massive promotion. Not happy Jan.

  • My browser is spinning indefinitely, do I refresh or should I wait? Don't want to refresh and end up at the back of the "line"

    • Mine just timed out after 10 minutes. Sure yours will do the same eventually.

    • Close the browser and restart the router and that would solve your issues.

  • +4

    This is madness!!!! T-H-I-S I-S M-WWWWW-AAAAA-VVVVV-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • no ping response….

    • still no f'ing response!!!

    • +7

I think they're using the same Cisco routers we were going for lol

  • still stuck :(

  • yay! i got an mwave invoice email

    • Did you pay with PayPal? I got a PayPal receipt saying I sent payment, but I haven't gotten an Mwave invoice or order confirmation yet. My browser is still stuck on the "Processing your order…" stage. :(

    • I've got Paypal receipt but no MWave receipt yet…

      • and now have got the MWave receipt!!!

    • yes, paypal, the order confirmed page wouldn't load properly afterwards but the order's in my account $30.45

  • +1
