Increased Referral Bonus of US$200 Worth of SG (Crypto): Min US$30 Spend in 30 Days Required @ SocialGood App

1015

As per recent deal, I have tried and tested this myself, have gotten few thousands worth of SocialGood coins and cashed out to USDT.

It was $100 referral, now $200, not sure what to make of it, but my guess is they are not reaching their new sign up targets quick enough. Though, there's not much really to lose by trying out the App.

IMO eBay AU works best with tracking(12-24 hours) and approvals always happen at the end of the following month, so it takes 31-60 days for eBay AU.

Aliexpress have also worked for me. Haven't really tried other stores.

New users need to spend US$30 or more within 30 days of signing up.

For those who have more questions about the SG/App, withdrawals, feel free to DM me, happy to help answer any questions. I've been using the SG app since May 2021.

      • If you used eBay chances are withdrawals before the double approval will fail. They seem to be still going though the transactions.

        • My double approval was reversed and I submitted a withdrawal.
It's still in pending though and they ran out of tokens again.

          • @johnmelb: How did you figure out they run out of tokens? Or run out of liquidity to be precise as they should be able to mint as many token as they wish? Or buy-back from the sellers.

      • Mine failed too. Re-submitted.

  • still no ebay on SocialGood?

  • Can someone tell me if FTX.com FTX or FTX pro? If I want FTX, I should download a FTX app?

    • +1

      FTX Blockfolio app

    • ftx.com is pro. Supports AUD deposits still and free withdrawals for everything that's not eth or erc-20.

Ftx is only the app. (Was blockfolio)

      • Once in the FTX app, select FTX international, right?

        • +1

To login? Yes, don't use America it has all sorts of restrictions

          • @shadowangel: Thanks. Can you withdraw AUD with them? How is their trading fees compared with bifiance?

            • @jimwh: Fees about 1% from experience, so trading fees are higher than Binance but they cover withdrawal fee. You can withdraw AUD with them.

  • +1

After submitting for withdrawal (which is still pending) I made 2 purchases and they didn't track (+- 18hours later).
I got the $100 promo, so spent +/- USD $35 on AE. (I can't cancel the purchase because the seller marked it as shipped an hour after the purchase..)

    • +2

Apparently this is a known issue. Common complaints from the users. It appears that tracking is not working properly at the moment. I would hold off on purchasing anything via SG until you get your coins from them.

      • +1

In the end (after >24 hours) AE purchase did track.
I'm considering not doing the buy $30 get $100 anymore until I have 1 successful withdrawal.

      • My purchase was tracked three days ago after a few hours

      • Small tip for this, to know if a store is tracking open the store then close it. You should get an email from SG.
        If not, it's not tracking.

If it doesn't track delete the app (AliExpress) followed by a reboot and install.

The other reason is that it's not covered item for cashback.

        • Will you get the email from SG immediately?

        • What e-mail are you talking about (title)? I don't think I get these e-mails?

        • Not sure what email you are referring to. All my 30ish Aliexpress purchases were tracked except one.

  • Does anyone know if exchanges like Bitmart accept state’s Photo Cards for KYC?

    • They should. They use a biometric software I think it is jumio which has no link to any government database.

      • Hmm ok thanks. So I guess they don’t really care what sort of ID you use, as long as the ID has you photo, name and dob perhaps.

        • Photo card is a legitimate ID document issued by state territory governments so no reason they reject it imo

    Important Notice: Withdrawals Temporarily Paused

As our app grows, we have found that some users created multiple accounts and withdrew SG fraudulently.
Therefore, in order to take care of this issue and to prevent this from happening in the future, we have temporarily paused the withdraw function for all users.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to the majority of users who have done nothing wrong, due to the bad actions of a few heartless users.
We plan to implement a KYC (Know-Your-Customer) identification check into the SG withdraw process to prevent this sort of fraudulent activity in the future. This measure will prevent fraudulent SG withdrawals by users with multiple accounts.

We are working hard to restart withdraws as soon as possible, but we are unable to promise an exact restart date. As soon as withdraws are available again, we will announce it on our official Twitter.

    • Hope those assholes get banned for life but you could see the bank was open with no safeguards in place.

      That's all on social good.

      • Even now shouldn't it be easy to identify accounts like that?
They would go for referral and then probably only meet the first $30 spend. Then just wait and withdraw.
They should have extra measures in place, you don't need KYC for that.

        • +1

Should not be too hard. They have some tools to look in the databases

          Dumb ones would have:
          1. Withdrawal to the same ETH address
          2. Used same logins for shopping
          3. Same IP addresses
          4. Same user agent e.g. same phone
          5. Same name at signup
          6. Ridiculous amount of referrals in a small period of time
          7. Used email aliases e.g. Google
          8. Used same password
          9. Disposable email addresses
          10. Constant sign-in and sign out of new accounts linked to referrals
          12. Fuzzy search on passwords, first and last names, and email addresses as a final manual check
          13. Maybe cross check with Google Play store? They must have something too. Like 5 signups but only 1 Google account?

If they check all those things I reckon 95% would be identified.

The intelligence of SG users is, well look at Telegram.

          • +1

@Korban Dallas: Chuckled at your last comment.
That Telegram channel probably has the highest concentration of people with two digit IQ than any other place on earth.

    • +2

If they do KYC, then withdrawal should be able to go straight to exchange again..
Why just letting us waste more money…

    • more changes then that, make sure to check the store terms there's been some big changes especially for the approval time.

      • +1

It just keeps getting worse. At this trajectory how is this project gonna get new purchases or sign-ups to keep it going?

Also, sounds rather odd the “Japanese govt” is gonna back this project out of a multitude of many other crypto projects available out there, when the govt is still deciding on their own cbdc. My hopeful thoughts rn is softbank coming into the picture and injecting liquidity increasing the apr.

  • +4

This is getting ridiculously too much

  • To do KYC is just an excuse. They can simply stop paying any referral bonus but not hold people's legitimate cash back. I don't think anyone will reject that. At the meantime, they can ask anyone who wants the bonus to come froward to do KYC, simple…only if the KYC on bonus claim is real.

    • Yep. Those who don't kyc get no referral rewards. Those that do. Go nuts.

  • Has anyone elses withdrawal been accepted? My father put his through on 03/02/2022 and it's been approved, but no payout yet, but with this news we aren't expecting any payout.

    Personally mine's failed, and I've re-submitted it.

I hate to sound so negative, because I love these sign up/referral deals, they're my favourite deals on Ozbargain and I really appreciate when people post them. I used all the recent crypto ones with Luno, Swyftx, DigitalSurge and even back in ~2014 with the $100 MEBank ones and the ING $250 The Iconic voucher ones. But this has gotten extremely shady recently.. multiple blocks to withdrawals, "mistakes" being made that prevent withdrawals, even though I was never given bonus SG tokens I was e-mailed that I was.

My question is: Do you think this platform is legit and will actually pay out, or not? I'm really surprised not many people recently have been calling this a scam.

    • +3

      exit scam

      • +1

Yeh I think they're just milking out as much as much profit as they can before they exit scam.
        Few main points:

        • $200USD for the referrer and referred member is far too excessive. That's $556AUD to bring in a new customer. That requires thousands of dollars of transactions through SocialGood to make that referred member profitable (at least $10,000-12,000 spent within the app). Mind you, there are only a few shops that we can actually use, so hitting that $10,000+ point will take a very, very long time, maybe even never.

        • Their inflated 100% cashback for AliExpress and 50% cashback for eBay was extremely unsustainable. CashRewards and ShopBack offer a modest 1-3% depending on the category, so how are they affording to give 50% cashbacks? I know they aren't paying out with fiat, but that's crazy excessive.

        • No KYC, no email validation, no phone verification, nothing at all in place to prevent people from abusing this promotion. They either didn't care because they knew they were exit scamming, or they didn't think of the consequences.

To give some benefit of the doubt - the app is new, it's still growing, so these mistakes may be legitimate. Apparently the Japanese Government has started backing the project and will announce it on the official government website (which I do find it hard to believe, but we'll see). I'd be happy to do a KYC. I know one of crypto's main selling points is anonymity, but when it comes to cashback apps like this I guess there's no other option, else it'd be continuing theme of people just making hundreds of accounts.

I just hope that no one spent $30USD to satisfy the requirement on something they don't need in order to get their bonus just to not be paid out. I was lucky that I had to spend $30USD anyway on something, so I didn't really lose on anything. Also, I saw some members buying things through AliExpress with 100% cashback, so they may have bought unnecessary things thinking they were getting freebies, only to find out that we won't be paid our tokens.

Anyway, apologies if my post came across as negative, just wanted to share my viewpoint and try to understand the situation better.

        • +2

Social Good will never be sustainable. The rates and bonuses are far too high.

Extremely stupid of them to not set up anti-abuse systems in place for their referral system.

Social Good may have worked before but now it's probably gone to shit.

I don't have much hope of withdrawing my sign up bonus.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Their current crypto back rates are the normal rates. Previously the high rates were just promotional rates for a set period of time (2 or 3 months). I expect their rates will be similar to SB and CR going forward with exception of Aliexpress and a few others. They might do promotional rates on some shops to push for more purchases from time to time. They are far more flexible than SB and CR in this area as they give out crypto rather than cash to the bank.

          • @[Deactivated]: The idea is amazing and I would actually use it if it were proven to be legit. Imagine a Cashrewards equivalent for crypto? I'm in.

Either poor execution or scam from this lot.

    • Even if they enable withdrawals again
How many of the 1.8M are waiting to withdraw …

Everybody selling, nobody buying. So coin will drop faster than you can hit the sell button …

    • +2

I already got some paid out to me. Roughly $500 usd worth of crypto transferred out to my Binance account and it is enough to cover 90% of stuffs I purchased so I am happy. I know there are people cashed out thousands of crypto already. So it did work, just wait for them to sort out the scammers and implement KYC. The operation will be back to normal.

      • Did you do market value withdrawal or guaranteed withdrawal?

Did you buy from ebay or AliExpress?

        • +1

Market value only. I bought from both stores.

      • +1

I would feel more comfortable if I had something cashed out.
The items via the app are more expensive than going to AE direct. And I did order things I otherwise wouldn't have ordered.
Until I can cash out now, I'm not using the app anymore and ignoring the $30 spend get $100 promos (they will probably stop anyway if I don't buy anymore).

I don't understand SG forcing the wallet withdrawal for cashout if they are going to implement something like KYC anyway.
Why not put a max on withdrawal, that way they have time to discover fake accounts … (makes more sense to me than increasing min withdrawal).

        • You can always use Paypal free return to send the item back and get refund.

  • SG price has gone up relative to USD, up to 1.10 !!

    • It was at 1.19 at some stage in last ,24 hrs

      • +2

Good to me my imaginary money goes up

        • -3

I lost $1292 SG by sending to wrong address last week.

There is no worst feeing than this error right now

          • @Ash-Say: I have done it once with bank transfer 5k never recovered and once using the wrong chain in Crypto. FTX credited mine back within 24hours minus 5%. Some exchanges won't recover, others charge a large fee and might take 3months.

  • Any risk of staking our imaginary money while we are locked out? I imagine that’s what they are wanting us to do, I just don’t know much about staking.

    • Oh looks like I’m already staking since connecting my wallet. I’m 0.44 SG richer. Woo…

  • Was looking through some of SG’s previous announcement and could see this below where SG did previously appear to received govt funding grants from the city of Tokyo.

    https://socialgood-foundation.com/news/20210511.php

The approved Business Innovation Plan requirements are for "new initiatives" and "fully feasible business plans." With this approval, companies are eligible to receive public government support multiple times. With the government’s support, the SocialGood team plans to continue growing and developing as a company

So could be some truth with their recent announcement on support from the bigger Japanese govt. Question is what does govts usually ask for in return when they provide grants like this, if anyone knows?

Anyone’s withdrawal from a few days ago still pending? I get they’ve stopped withdrawals now but seems like in limbo

    • Yeah my withdrawal from 2nd Feb is still pending

    • My withdrawal request went through. How to check if the SG has been transferred to my trust wallet? Will it show in the wallet App? I chose Etherereum address..Hope it's not lost.

      • add the social good token address to your trustwallet

        • Ok, on trust wallet and added custom ETH token as SG. Sg now shows on the home screen of the wallet alomg with few other default coins. No amount is showing yet.
Is the SG address in the wallet exactly the same as the original trust wallet address that I submitted to SG for withdrawal? Hope I haven't lost it.

          • @nulled: It's the eth address or what's shown in SG token. Same address

            • @shadowangel: When do we know that the SG has arrived at my Wallet, therevis nonrecordbof the withdrawal in the SG App.

              • @nulled: I have an an account with https://etherscan.io/ then I added my address to the alerts page, it will send me an email everytime my balance changes.
I also setup alerts for when socialgood start sending tokens again.

              • @nulled: How long does it take you to receiving your coins? Thanks

    • If they implement kyc first we are going to be waiting awhile.

    • Still waiting for my withdrawal from 12/2. Somehow i can withdraw yesterday.

  • What happened if withdrawal failed? Do we lost the coins or back to staking? It says once pending it will be completed. Guess it's not true.

    • Question is how do you know if withdrawal failed?
So far I don't even see a record of my withdrawal request.
PS. Okay, I found that information in My Account-> Market Value Withdrawals

  • so a update, they reinstated the withdrawals but are now holding withdrawals xD

    • May i know how long? I was surprised my withdrawal went through on 12/2 but been pending since. Thanks

      • Mine too from that date exactly. Seems all these approvals are synchronised by design.
