      I remember it saying 10amp on a cig plug and reading 10amp is the standard. 12v x 10amp = 120w max do yea to much power

          If your car fuse is 10A then this isn't for you and you should get this.

          Now if your fuse is 15A or higher (like my car) then this Baseus is fine.

            @Clear: Fuse is a layer of protection, and designed to blow up in case if you draw too much power, if you use a 15A fuse but the car circuit is designed to only supply 10A, then your fuse is nothing more than a fancy wire.

                @Clear: I appreciate you posting this deal, but my point is not about which charger you should get…

                I was trying to make sure people don't just replace their 10A fuse to a 15A for the sake of using this charger at full load. If the car come with 15A fuse sure, if it come with a 10A fuse by default, replace it to 15A won't magically increase the car's power load.

      After owning one of the other baseus chargers, there's fine print regarding output usually. Although this one seems to have solved the problem of the previous one only doing output at 12v if input is 12v.

      The main issue is the heat. The one in my car is only 65w (doesn't go that high since I've only got a 12V socket) and that gets pretty hot, I would imagine 160w would get quite toasty.

        I have the 65w and a 100w.
        I can confirm it charges my Surface Pro 7 at 20v.

        In fact I used the 100w one yesterday, input voltage was 13.2v

      iPhone 12 supports a max of 20W USB-PD charging so this charger is very overkill. I guess you don't have to worry about too much load on your car battery/alternator or the charger getting too hot though. Your iPhone 12 will charge from 0% to around 55% in 30minutes while connected to this or any other 20W USB-PD charger.

    I'd just like to rehash the comments from the previous post of the need for 160w without doing potentially fire hazard causing modifications to your vehicle.

    I understand "bigger number" outputs sell these things but don't expect to get these results out of the box.

      My understanding is the fuse should protect you from a fire in the car first correct?

      Eg, I've just checked my cards fuse box and it has a 20amp fuse? (which is actually larger than I thought as I was expecting 15A).. anyway working on that 12V x 20amp means I can load up to 240Watts before the fuse will blow… to me this means the car must have wiring to allow for this amount of current?

      If your car has a 15A fuse that means you can have a max load of 12V x 15A = 180 Watts! still fine…

        Are you sure the fuse is only powering that single socket and there s nothing else on the circuit which requires it to have a larger fuse. Most sockets are only rated to 120w or 10amps though realistically it should be fine

          Not 100% although I'm sure if they have put the cigarette lighter on a 20A fuse they would have used wiring to allow for that else it's a rather large oversight as every thing on that circuit should allow for that rating of cable one would think?

      They tend to be fused with 10A or 15A. So 160W might be too much (particularly as that's the output power, not the input power), but 100W should be fine and you're unlikely to have more than that at any given time.

      There's this thing called a car fuse so depending on the vehicle 12V/10A would be 120W and some with up to 12V/20A would be up to 240W.

      Unfair to neg considering this will work up to 100W (single port) in some cases, while others can work up to 160W.

      Also worth noting fast charging doesn't draw the maximum watts all the time. Goes up and down.

        My car has a lighter port and an AUX port (which is on even if the car is not running). Lighter is fused with a 10 amp and Aux is fused with a 15 amp.
        So I guess it varies a lot form car to car. Check you documentation or, at least, the fuse box.

        My local Officeworks front window is covered in product recalls on several different comsol products, I wouldn't touch that brand with a barge pole. A google search on comsol recalls tends to back up that statement too.

      Quite a good option since it offers 65W on one USB-C port. Especially if the 100W on a single port for the Baseus I'd overkill for you.

    I will never do Aliexpress again. I appreciate that Other people's experiences obviously vary from mine and hence why they are so big but I have attempted 4 Separate orders and none of them arrived. I tried to claim and They were all rejected just a joke. Even with eBay I've never had that many orders going missing in the 10 years I have been a member where Ali express this all happened in the 1st 6 months of me trying them out

      A new account doing a dispute on every order is seen as suspicious unfortunately.

      Always make sure you order from sellers with more than 95% feedback. Sometimes it pays to shop around and see what method of shipping they offering. China Post should be avoided, while ePacket even if it costs a little bit more will get your orders faster.

          It's common sense really. For feedback if they have no standard then why bother having seller ratings at all? It's really difficult to get your seller rating to 95% or lower so if a store has it so low they've clearly screwed up big time.

          The same could be said with eBay. Stores can get positive, neutral and negative feedback. Are you going to shop at stores with a lot of negative feedback? Remembering that stores can get bad feedback deleted at eBay, while at AliExpress they can't.

          Now when it comes to shipping that's again common sense. There are shipping estimates and it's important to know what is good and what isn't. Now if one product says China Post and the other says DHL what do you think is the best one? Presumably none because no standards and you shouldn't need to check how your order is being shipped right? Of course not that's stupid.

          They definitely have a very good seller rating system and your money isn't released to the seller for a long time so you can dispute the order if there is an issue. I've always been refunded or came to an arrangement with the seller when there is an issue with my AliExpress orders.

          The standard of customer and seller practice goes both ways though and if a buyer with a brand new account is disputing every transaction they've made is definitely suspicious.

      It all depends on the rated input of your devices, not the stated (or overstated) output of the charger. My iPad pro 12.9 charges at around 30W off 12V. I doubt your S20 will accept much more, though charge input often varies depending on how flat the device battery is - they quick charge when the battery is low and taper off towards full charge.

    I've got the 100W version of this and while they advertise it as outputting 100W from the USB-C port, it was only after I bought it (on ebay, Baseus has a store) and read the manual I found out that 20V 5A (100W) is only possible on 24V truck batteries. Also, it doesn't appear to have any licensing by Qualcomm for Quick Charge, though QC mainly depends on the devices you attach.

    That said the USB-C PD port does a great job of charging my laptop and portable power station, the main the thing I use it for, at 65W, plus up to another 30W from the USB port.

    So my guess is this outputs 65W + 30W + 30W max (probably less if using all three ports simultaneously) on a 12V car battery, but maybe someone else can confirm. I'd still buy it though, or an alternative. Xiaomi makes a similar charger with two ports.
