            @kungfuman: The PS4 hammered the XB1. I think you will find brand loyalty saw many people choose the PS5 over the XBSX initially. However, I know from my friends, many are regretting that decision and several have moved to the XBSX. As for current sales numbers, I don't think that's a fair reflection of which console is more popular. Since every console is sold almost immediately, it seems to be whomever can produce more consoles is selling more consoles.

Don’t rely on past sales, PS consoles are in for a world of hurt as time goes on… the M$ behemoth will not be stopped.

                      Your main point seems to be that Playstation has exclusives, where Xbox shares exclusives with PC. Sure, that's true, but for those who don't already have a gaming PC, an Xbox still delivers a fantastic gaming experience at much more affordable up-front price compared to PC.

                      Personally I think Microsoft being more open should be rewarded, but hey, maybe that's just me.

          The graphics card in a Xbox Series X is a RX 6800 with a few CUs removed and running at lower clocks. Similar performance to a 6700XT which by itself costs more than the entire Xbox.

          Not to mention the Xbox also has a Ryzen 7 3800X and PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. These things are not "cheap PCs".

            @kungfuman: Who cares whether it's a PC underneath? A console is designed primarily to be played on the TV whilst a PC is primarily designed for use on a desk and monitor while sitting in a chair.
            For a lot of people, the last thing they want is to sit in front of a computer again when they already spend 7-8 hours a day in front of a computer.
            You say it's a junk, but it plays and runs everything I need with zero issues.

              @keejoonc: This! I have a PC with an EVGA FTW3 Ultra 3080 and my Xbox Series X gets used way more than the PC for gaming. My 3080 was mainly purchased for VR but since a medical diagnoses I prefer couch gaming over sitting at a desk gaming.

        clearly you don't have a PC if you say that lol the xbox has not exclusives. there is nothing different compared to the PS5 performance wise, and PS5 has exclusive games which you can't get on PC.

        So pretty much the only reason why you would get an xbox would be because you don't have a gaming PC.

          I have all 3 and the XBox gets used a lot. I don't see a need to be a fanboy.

          I pick the games for each platform that I want to play it on. PC I focus on RTS and FPS, PlayStation their exclusives, XBSX I use Game Pass.

          It’s great value considering the GPU price gauging right now. Also had a couple of features like backwards compatibility and quick resume. But yes, if you already have a decent PC then an Xbox is not worth it

            @FireRunner: well the price gauging is only for the people that missed the train and didn't get the GPU when it was first released at RRP prices. many people didn't get riped on this, the people that are complaining are the ones that missed out or didn't have a clue where to buy them. Currently prices go up and down based on new cards and stock you just need to keep you eyes open and glued to deals.

          I have a 3080 in my pc. Guess what I still game on my series x because it's just easy relaxing to play on couch infront of tv. Everything works seamlessly. I'm still around family not locked away infront of a desk.

      People should buy which platform has the games they want. For some people that's Xbox and it's list of gamepass games and some exclusives. For others it's Sony with it's exclusives like God of war.

      For some people like me it's both - previously had gaming PCs but a series x is cheaper than a midtier GPU so for the PC/Xbox games I play I moved to Xbox, and have a ps5 for exclusives.

    Owned every PlayStation released and purchased this last month, my first ever Xbox and honestly been really happy with it.

    Especially since I took a break from gaming for a few years last gen so a lot of catching up to do and Game Pass is perfect for that. Very cheap and accessible

    So hard to get a PS5 atm so will have to wait a few more years and will grab as I still prefer Trophies over Achievements

    To the other commenters above, pls link us a $750 gaming pc that is similar to the Xbox and PS5 in performance. For $750 I couldn’t be happier

        I always click A when the game says press X lol. As that’s the only similar button between the two consoles

        I don’t like the thumbsticks on the Xbox as it’s quite a slippery/plasticky material. PS controller is more rubbery/grippy/sticky. And they’re a little small. Location wise doesn’t bother me.

        Any recommendations for controller grips? I just need more grip. Don’t know why it’s so slippy

        Was surprised the Xbox still uses AA batteries and have to pay extra for the rechargeable. But have come to embrace the AA as there’s no downtime, pull it out and shove a new one in and done. Grab a pack of Eneloops and a charger and all good
