Bit sussed when the OP became DisabledUser hey

  • Revoked my neg sent to email worked . Mobile didn't .

  • Love this idea of making GC special. Just ordered!

    • I found the names and message and designing a pain in the a$$ and just put a couple letters to speed it up :)

    • Always better to give than to receive

  • Does it work for Sony online?

    • +1

Works for anything where you can pay with a master card…

  • +1

Did it for $134 and worked fine. Used it to buy amazon gift card for $30 via shopback
For the extra $3 gift card plus 2% cashback. The rest can be spent via Apple Pay

  • +1

I've been able to use the super shopper gift card on the Woolworths portal, opening this up to a lot more retailers at 15% off (if $134 initial gc purchase)

  • All these gift card purchases are making me poor :(

  • Worked seamlessly with Android App and paid with Amex. Instant delivery. Thanks!

  • Thanks bought two and they both worked.

  • Got the gift card instantly. Spent on eBay just now. Thanks

    • Did you buy eBay gc from shopback or directly spend on eBay?

  • +1

WTF~press Activate button and got error message! Now I have to contact CS via email to sort it out.

    This is a horror…

    • Download the app and activate/set pin from there, worked for me.

      • Just tried android app and still get error message "whoops something went wrong. Please try again later" I blame ozbargain haha

        • Copy and paste activate link into Edge and it worked.

  • After applied the code, showed $113.05 when checked out, finished the payment, then found charged me $133 on the bank account!

    • Did u use apple pay?

Happened to me when using apple pay, confirmation pop up also show $135 instead of $115 but somehow i just press confirm lol.

But if u enter cc details manually, i works fine.

      • I used the google pay…

        • I had the same issue when I went through the website (on the Google Pay popup it came up as the full $133 still), buying it on the Special app itself worked

I wonder if this is that joker from -Redeemyourgiftcard- ??
This isn't worth the risk/time/hassle, in my opinion. If they can mess-up all these transactions, what are they doing with ones personal information?

    • -1

Ah yes because no real business ever messes up…right?

    • -1

Sometimes you gotta look at yourself in the mirror if 200+ people got their gc with no issues

  • Thanks OP, purchased Super Shopper for Amazon Gift card

  • With this one, if I purchase an item with a value higher than the gift card, would l be able to use another payment method to cover the balance? Thanks

    • +2

No you can't use partial payment online. Unless paying with gift card.

      • Thanks for the confirmation!!

    • +2

Usually not. It works like a normal debit card. So in store they'll often allow you to split payment, but not usually online. You seem to be able to buy gift cards with it though and you can normally pay with multiple gift cards, or gift card with another payment method. It really depends where you buy from. The other option is buy a gift card for the additional amount, then use this as a debit card for the rest of the value.

  • +2

Hi, I've made a purchase that charged me the normal amount (I used code APPLEPAY but still showed $133 in total), card is not used.

    Can you make a refund?

    • Contact support on the site.
Other members said support helped them with their issues earlier.

  • $20 Max Discount

What would stop people from creating different accounts, and paying using different prepaid cards to get around this limit?

    • +2

Different prepaid cards? I used the same card twice LOL

      • Good to know they have so little checks. :)

      • used a different phone number?

        • +1

Yeah you definitely need a unique phone number.

    • +2

      Their conscience Nothing

  • thx, worked.
$114 for $134 mastercard, then bought $138.58 from NRMA woolies gift card.

    bargain basement.

    • +1

      bargain basement

Not quite. Only needed $133.34 (overpaid by 66 cents)

      • +1

        the feels…

  • +5

Omg I can buy gift cards with gift cards via shopback.

Spent $114 got $134 gift card and $2.28 of CRO

Spent $100 gift card got $2 cashback
Spent $30 first card got $.60 cashback

Effectively spent $109.12 for $134 gift card

    18.56% Cashback

    • Spent $100 gift card got $2 cashback
Spent $30 first card got $.60 cashback

and $4 left to complete the $4 bonus challenge

      • Missed that one

      • +1

Can you please enlighten me on the meaning of CRO?

        • +2

Crypto.com Visa Debit Card. Depending on which card you pick, and how much you Stake, you can get a % back of your purchases in their CRO token

    • +1

No luck with suncorp rewards as they need a code from preauth.

      • Cheers, saved me the issue!

    • Well played. I assume you bought Amazon GC for 2% cashback.

      • Indeed. My Amazon bank is nearing $600 😂

    • +3

Well done, but I think I did slightly better. (Grabs calculator)

Spent $115 got $134 gift card. (Sadly no CRO.)

Spent the $134 to buy a $139.58 gift card from Woolies (via Entertainment: 4% discount)

Effectively spent $115 to get a $139.58 gift card

      21.37% cash back!

      • +1

Nice. Thought getting 4% off with NRMA Woolies.

But the price of groceries has gone up heaps recently.

I feel Amazon will get me a better deal as I only buy things when they are on special.

        • +2

I factor in Everyday Rewards and Flybuys with groceries. Half price specials and swapping between the majors. Mostly get the specials and then 10-25% off on top which Amazon can’t match.

          • @Coops1: Good point. Do you get yours delivered or go instore?

And how does it compare to Aldi?

            About 17% more expensive?

Good when you only buy special items but can't get everything on special.

If only we could shop at 3 places.

            • +3

@Korban Dallas: No Aldi in Tasmania :(
Shopping across Hill St and Salamanca Fresh (more boutique, but can be cheap) and Coles/Woolies. If it’s not a special/bargain it doesn’t get bought, and we wait until next week/month!

              • +1

@Coops1: A man after my own heart.

Well, there are a few things we just need to buy that are essentially never on special: milk, eggs, bread ☺️

      • Will this card work as Visa/MC? How do you use this card to purchase from wallet?

        • Good Q, I used it immediately from the Special website which presented as a regular credit card: 16 digit number, expiry and verification number. There’s also the option to add to Apple Wallet (and I think Google Wallet also).

          • @Member 0230: Can you buy anything from website with putting all 16 digits, cvv, expired dates? Thinking to buy HTLTsupps

  • +1

Wish we could buy more, tried and didn’t work, only worked once

    • What do you mean it didn't work? What was the error message?

      Tried a different account?

      • I did create different account and it didn’t work, said Apple Pay promotion code has already been used . I used diffent email and didn’t work either . Maybe if I had a new phone number then yeah might work

        • +1

Different account = All ID attributes have to be different

However, it looks like credit / debit card doesn't need to be.

        • +4

Need a unique phone number for each account.

  • +1

For buying gift cards via ShopBack GCs Portal, does it matter if the card type is SUPER SHOPPER or TECH HEAD? Will either work?

    • +4

      Super shopper worked for me

  • Anyone tried to use this on Suncorp Rewards? You have to add the card in their portal and then verify a small charge, does that mean you won’t be able to spend the full amount on the card until that small pending charge drops off?

Was thinking of getting JB Gift Cards at 5% off

    • +1

Anyone tried to use this on Suncorp Rewards?

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12037582/redir

You need the verification code in the preauth transaction.

    • When you view all the transactions on the card, it shows bupkis other than the initial load amount.
I reckon this part of the app is still a work in progress.

If you could see all the transactions in real time, you could certainly get this card to work with Suncorp Rewards for slightly better discounts than ShopBack GCs Portal.

      • +1

BupkisRewards will be the name of my new startup… I will give out 1 million BupkisRewards points as a signup bonus to the first every customers. And what’s a BupkisRewards point worth in real money, you ask? I guess I need to put a bit more thought into this venture. Got it — customers can cash out BupkisRewards into my new crypto project, coincidentally named BupkisCoin!

  • +1

Worked . 135 for 115. Redeemed on amazon.
    Cards received almost instantly

  • Companies like Prezzee etc have been there for years. But if this is a new company, and now that many have brought their cards, what if they go belly up?

  • Rejected on Sephora online

  • This is a great deal!

Even those coles prepaid GC never hit 10% in total savings

  • worked without fuss, thanks op

  • worked instantly

  • Worked for me.Bought Woolies GC.Approx 18% savings in total!

  • +1

Thanks got one for $135, delivered instantly, swapped for a Super Swap gift card(s) on ShopBack and swapped for Coles. Good deal.

Now just have to spend the weekend deciding how many sims to swap out in my phone to set up multiple accounts and buy more… pretty soon all my money will be locked up in gift cards. It gets spent eventually, but still.

  • Awesome deal. Thanks!

  • +4

Easy, simple process. $139.58 Woolworths for $114. Cheers to the now disabled OP.

are there any cards that will let us buy petrol? like for example 7 11?

    • Shopback giftcard portal

Add it to your digital wallet and use it @ any servos

      • What's that?

I have the app but don't see anything about a wallet

        • I think you need to choose the option to save to Prezzee account. Then from there it's easy

    • Wish gift cards use Caltex

  • Where can you buy the 3%-4% off Woolworths gift card? I am not with NRMA or Suncorp :(

    • Entertainment Book

    • +6

If you're an eligible HCF member, HCF Thank You sells EG Australia / Caltex Woolworths (Fuel) eGift Cards at 4.05% off, and they accept prepaid gift cards. EG Australia / Caltex Woolworths (Fuel) eGift Cards are actually re-badged WISH eGift Cards, as they share the same eGift Card prefix (628000 555). I've been redeeming them for over a year at Woolworths, BIG W and BWS (as well as EG / Caltex Woolworths) without any issues. Lumo Rewards also sells EG Australia / Caltex Woolworths (Fuel) eGift Cards at the same discount rate and are operated by the same company that operates HCF Thank You.

If you're a member of Student Edge, you can access the discounted Woolworths Group gift card portal through them too and purchase Woolworths Supermarket eGift Cards at a 4% discount.

I suggest you check out the discounted gift card portal table and the gift card discount table for information on other discounted gift card portals, as it lists some other portals that sell Woolworths Supermarket or WISH or EG Australia / Caltex Woolworths eGift Cards. Keep in mind the following:

      • The page is not exhaustive, as there are some gift card portals (e.g. Flare HR) that do not (or cannot) have their gift card discounts listed in the table.

      • Reward Gateway does not accept any cards without support for 3D Secure. These gift cards are prepaid gift cards, so they do not support 3D Secure and will fail the portal's 3D Secure check when you go and attempt payment.

      • they (HCF) accept prepaid gift cards

Do you mean Visa or Master only?
Super Shopper card from this deal as well?

        • The gift cards in this deal are essentially prepaid Mastercard gift cards. I don't think the Super Shopper gift card is actually restricted to the 61,000 retailers listed on the gift card, which means you should be okay to spend it at any merchant that accepts prepaid Mastercard gift cards (i.e. merchants that do not require cards to support 3D Secure).

HCF Thank You does not check for 3D Secure, and I used a Super Shopper gift card to purchase a gift card from HCF Thank You last night. (For reference, HCF Thank You accept Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.)

@WookieMonster: I don't think it is a unrestricted card, it seems to decline gov/utility and some other cash equivalent purchases.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: You can use them online with no issues but for in-store you only can redeem at participating stores
