iPhone 13 128GB $999, iPhone 13 Pro 128GB $1449, iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB $1599 Delivered @ Telstra

3190

Looks like as same as the last month's Telstra day deal prices: iPhone 13 $350 off and pro and pro max versions $250 off. Has the outright buying option and offer valid until the 15th of August. Probably JB-HiFi will price match as last time, OW will price beat if you are lucky!

PS: If you could get a price match from JB-HiFi don't forget to use discounted gift cards to pay! (eg: ShopBack has 2.5% off JB gift cards that you can buy right away)

  • tempting - would officeworks price match?

    • +3

Could be - if you are lucky and early. Just try to ring OW early in the morning when they open the store and before negativity spreads about this deal. There were few successful grabs last time 😉

    • Not sure officeworks will do price match or not. Last time I rang them, the answer was no.

    • They’ve got bugger all stock

  • +4

    Waiting for iPhone 14 max.

    • +5

Saw somewhere that 14 models would be $100 more expensive than the 13 ones. Anyways if you are not after the most sophisticated phone out there I think this is a pretty good deal. Personally I don't see any major benefit from changing the phones each year. So I don't mind whether it is iphone 13 or 14 as advancements are subtle and don't make much difference to normal daily usage. Just my opinion 😊

      • -1

Mini will be discontinued, and there's max sit between 14 and 14 pro with larger screen and battery than the 14 but worse camera than the 14 pro.

        • +15

i love it when people spit rumours as facts

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: That ones is pretty basic fair assumption though

          • @[Deactivated]: Maybe not confirmed but they have a pretty good track record at some sites. There are months of tooling required, case manufacturers need to be onboard, etc. There are plenty of areas for leaks to occur.

People should start with the disclaimer “the rumour is” but they are likely to be correct if they are pulling it from one of the sites with a good track record.

            • @try2bhelpful: some guy here kept going off about the coloured bezel on the new macbooks and then when they were released they didn’t have it

              • @[Deactivated]: Not saying the rumours are perfect just that they are often correct. Depends on what sites they were looking at as well.

        • $50 bucks says the iPhone 13 mini will remain in the lineup.
That’s why it’s not on sale.

          • @captainandg: Could easily be, at least until they get rid of the inventory. Apparently it hasn’t been a great success.

          • @captainandg: Yup.. Some of us don't have handbags to carry our phones in and want a mobile phone that actually fits in our pockets…
            If I want a large display I use a ipad ….

      • +3

Latest leaks / rumours suggest the base model 14 won’t get the price hike, however all the other models will. And it’s $100USD increase making the increase hurt even more. Lucky I don’t upgrade too often cos ~$1900 for the Pro model is going to hurt the hip pocket.

        • +2

Also note the AUD/USD exchange rate has dropped. So prices will rise $1-200 just from that and another $1-200 from the $100USD increase.

          • @linkii: so in total $2-$400?

    • +2

Well done you. How is that relevant to this being a deal though?

    • +3

      Waiting for iPhone 15 max.

  • Thanks, was waiting for the Pro to go on sale again! Shame the green is on back order, so got black.

  • +1

For those who have good vodafone coverage, can grab pro max with a sim plan for 1450 over 12 or 36 months

  • +2

do we need to get a plan to avail of this?

    • -6

Yes, you need to have an active service linked to your Telstra ID. So if you have one already you can purchase the phone on its own, if not you need to purchase with a plan or try to price match elsewhere.

    • +1

Interesting. I didn’t when I bought the iPhone13 at the Telstra day. Might be worth a shot to try and buy it outright.

    • No, the prices in the title are when you select "outright" in the links.

  • +2

    This is the way!

  • +3

FYI: Vodafone have $400 off the Pro & Pro Max making the $250 off look anaemic but the base 13 @999 is a great deal! SnipeDogs post above is right, it’s all about the bottom line!

    • I grabbed the 13 pro from Vodafone over 12 months for $1290. Seemed like a good deal. Even if I'm locked to vodafail. Sales and customer service are shocking. Always trying to add on something else.

    • Did you factor in the cost of the plan?

      • +3

        Good question Tom.
I would pay for a plan or prepaid anyway so I didn't count it. Price mentioned above is for the handset only. However if you are interested. I got a $36/m plan + $107.5 for the handset. Totally $432 + $1290 = $1722

iPhone 13 pro RRP start from A$1,699

        • May i know how can get 36/m for 40$ monthly plan ?

          • @xenb: Ask and ask and ask. Jump on the chat or try in store.
But beware they will start spam calling you if you don't sign up

Any ideas why the Mini never seems to go on sale?

    • +1

Telstra probably bought way less this time. They must have had heaps of 12 minis last year with the massive discounts.

    • +3

Stock. Apple are running out the Mini stock and are not fab’n more. Where as the 13/pro/max they are making or have in stock large numbers

    • The rumours are the iPhone 14 wont have a mini version.

  • Are they locked out to Telstra please?

    • +2

      Yes, they are unlocked

    • +1

      No.

  • Great price. This is the discount price for a 12 64GB only 3 months ago.

  • +5

Eagerly waiting for 13 mini to go on sale, shouldn't be far now…

    • same haha. The 12 mini was on sale more frequent than I could remember but nothing yet for 13 mini this year. Very interesting

  • Price match with jb hifi then get their gift card to bring it down further. Good if you need a plan. Got my 256 PM for $1215 on a 2 year $69 plan.

    • what is voucher value you have got for $69 on 2 years?

      • +1

They had a one day promo and I got $500 gift card. Telstra Day in July.

  • +1

Lets say JB can match, can it be combined with their Telstra mobile plan that used to give voucher upfront? E.g $400 for $69 plan or something.. trying to double dip

    • Yes

    • Yes

    • Jb have no 13. Don’t know about the plus

  • +1

$500 trade in on an iPhone 12 64GB offered. Worth the upgrade?

    • Yes! Given the differences, yah it is!

      • Sold!

      • Really depends on what you use your phone for, and how often… I'm still using my iPhone 6S, the battery life is at ~74% (crap)… and I can't justify upgrading. I ask myself this question: "Would my life be any better if I get a new phone?" and "Would my phone usage change or improve, or would I do new things with my new phone that I can't with my old phone?" - Answer to both is currently: only very marginally.

    • +3

Where did you get the trade in from??

      • +1

Through MyTelstra app. Just click on your services and scroll down to trade in an old device. The website linked above offered me $550.

        • Oh you have to have a service and it’s only a Telstra credit, no thanks.

  • Be good if Amazon PM these otherwise JB be a go

    • Don't amazon bots price match jb hifi automatically?

  • FYI - Telstra is also offering $300 off the Google Pixel 6 Pro too

    • +5

$300 off $hit is still $hit. The buggiest phone i ever used and google's customer care leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Went to local Officeworks in the early morning. They don't price beat with Telstra and no stock.
Just put order in Telstra and get Telstra points.

    • Try Jbhifi last time they price match, Telstra day

      • not this time

  • -3

Are these phones locked to the Telstra network?

    • +3

      No

  • I'm not able to get Telstra to even load their cart. Has anyone else had issues or there is a workaround?

    • No issues here, maybe try a different browser or log into your Telstra id first?

    • Go to a Telstra store, they have heaps of stock of all the models that are sold out online. Surprisingly.

  • +2

Bought a 12 for my wife a few weeks ago for $977 which was a pretty good price at the time, so this is a good deal. Kind of annoying too.

  • Can I get this in store outright?

  • Can I take this to another contury and use oversea simcards?

    • +1

      Yes, as it's not locked

      • Thx!!

      • I just asked telstra in the chat and they said it is locked, but you can get it unlocked by sending them the IMEI.

  • +1

Last time JB refused price match as offer states “When you add to an Upfront Mobile plan” or due to on back order.

    • Don’t do it in store.

      • That’s using live chat..

  • Anyone know their return policy in case of change mind? Thanks

  • +2

I rang JB up and they refused to price matched as i needed to be a Telstra customer.

    • Which jb did u call? The call centre or your local store

      • Call centre

        • Same with Chat

  • +2

Tried calling officeworks they would not price beat as you need a telstra ID to order.

    • Will OW price beat if you have a Telstra ID?

      • If I was at OW i would reply.. 'why dont you just buy from telstra if you have telstra ID?' We sre low in stock and cannot guarantee you a handset 😋

  • Will JB still not price beat if you have Telstra ID?

    • They just told me that they won't price match because of the Telstra ID

  • +4

OW refused to price beat. JB refused to price match. Both stores citing the Telstra ID requirement.

    They're onto us!
