  • After emailing them, calling them and giving up on getting my points, they arrived today. Don't give up hope if you have called and been put on "the list" I was told about.

  • Got one lot of 4000 points today, not sure if they'd reject the 2nd as it's a linked Flybuys account but fingers crossed

    After hassling and hassling them via FB (once) and email (3 times) I've just checked and my points have come through. Finally, the journey is complete.

  • Glad people finally got their points. I am still waiting - being ghosted by both the email and Facebook support teams.

    Still waiting too and have tried calling and messaging on FB. Have been chasing for about 20 business days since my first email. It's now been over 2 months since the promo finished. Going to report this to the ACCC now as a scam even if it is just really bad customer service from Flybuys :P

    • From what FlyBuys customer support told me was this was all on Disney's end. Not sure what jurisdiction the ACCC have over Disney - but since FlyBuys advertised it, maybe something can be done.

      Contracts are contracts and I bet FlyBuys didn't do anything wrong exactly, but it was a shit experience, and really "hard work" to get the $20 worth of FlyBuys points for signing up to Disney, which I wouldn't have otherwise done.

      What I think I'm trying to say is If anyone deserves your anger for this colossal screw up, it is Disney, not Coles Myer. But hey, any major corporation deserves the negative attention and publicity when they over promise and under deliver, so go nuts.

  • Still waiting for my points - even though I clicked thru from flybuys link to the Disney Plus promo page where I entered the flybuys number and then proceeded to subscribe

    Phonecall 4 weeks later said I should wait to get the points

    Notice that not even the 1.99 appears on my flybuys activity let alone the 4000 bunus points grrr

    Just got the message from Flybuys facebook:

    Thank you so much for your patience. The bonus points for joining Disney + were credited to your account on 21/11. Please allow 48 hours to view this.

    And they are there! Wow. 2.5 months later.

        Mine was credited on the 17th but messaged today too. But nothing on my husbands fb although raised at the same time 🤔

    • What info did they require be sent via the Facebook messenger?
      Did you offer the info up front or wait for them to request certain info
      I presume there is no real time chat .. just time lagged communication?

            @Wally: Yup that's the one I sent. I think they just need something to confirm the signup date when they take it up with Disney+

            @Wally: I sent them the email confirmation one that has the body heading "Welcome to Disney+". Then the first sentence is "You're all set to start streaming".

            I did this on 14 Nov after they requested that I do so and a week later I got the points

                Please provide us the date of sign up along with a screenshot of the email confirmation from Disney+ so we can investigate further.

                I signed up on 19th Sept (the last day of promo)
                But my Disney welcome-back/"confirmation email" came on 21st.

                Now I've submitted screenshot of my GooglePlay / PayPal subscription confirmation instead…

  • Just called again for the third time, was told they're still working through it… Absolutely ridiculous how long this is taking, seems they're just fobbing people off like eBay do.

    disneyplus got some nerve emailing me "come back and enjoy 20% off your first month"

  • I'm giving up. For the amount of time and attention I've put into this, thats way more than $20.

  • After 3 emails, finally received a reply - "the points will be credited in 3-5 business days. Sorry for the delay "

  • Never got my points. Never got the response to my message over "Contact us" form. Emailed [email protected] in the hope I won't need to waste a few hours on the phone.

    I and my wife are still waiting for the points too. When I email them I get the following:

            @MeesusEff: Nah, had them all for a long time. Manage them all with scripting. Good for promos, basically always getting equivalent of 20% shop back in points.

              @cooni: Wow wish I could learn how to do that. Did you use the same name and addresses when you signed up? When I contacted them on Messenger they asked for emails and address, thought that was a little OTT for the address

  • 2 different accounts had this happen just today:

    5/11: Submitted web form
    28/11: "could you please send in the day you signed up with the confirmation email", responded same day with screenshot and date of sign up
    14/12: "Please also provide us with your Disney+ email confirmation, and we will investigate this further for you"

    Infuriating

    Finally received 4000 points as a “call centre adjustment” today. I think I sent 6 emails

      That is the benefit of emails. You can send them over and over without much effort. You have a record of dates and harder for them to ignore written requests.

    Finally received my Flybuys points yesterday.

    My timeline:

    19th Sept: Signed up for Disney+

    Late Oct: Submit enquiry message through Flybuys FAQ contact form.

    4th Nov: Email a follow-up email to [email protected]

    16th Nov: Received an email responding to my enquiry through the Flybuys FAQ contact form from late Oct. They requested the email address used to sign up for Disney+, and the confirmation email from Disney+ during sign up, which I promptly provided by email within 24 h.

    4th Dec: Sent a message to Flybuys through Facebook Messenger.

    7th Dec: Received a reply through Facebook Messenger that they will look into it.

    8th Dec: Received an email from Flybuys saying that they will look into it.

    16th Dec: Received 4000 Flybuys points.

    Just had another 6 accounts come through.
    So that's 12 of 18 now. Still waiting on 6 of them.

  • Flybuys messaged that they credited my points back in the 17th November but we signed up for 2 accounts and only got 1 (linked account). Frustrating

    Finally received 4000 points, after filling that online form 3 times…

    And the last one had the points come through twice, once as the Disney+ Offer, once as a Call Centre Adjustment (I've been doing all of web form, email and Facebook) hah.

    • You also have 18 FB accounts to go with each?

      • Oh no just 1 account, but they don't seem to care that I enquire about different flybuys accounts after each case is resolved.

    After multiple follow-up emails most recently 9th Dec, where they responded on the 20th Dec they are still looking into it and will let me know, it appears the points was manually added for me on the 22nd Dec (just guessing as it doesn't say what it's for).

    Got mine today. Took about 4 weeks from when I first contacted them, which is not too bad considering Christmas etc. This is how I went about it. Lodged enquiry via online enquiry form. They then emailed back requesting screen shot of Disney offer (I also sent copy of email with confirmation of subscription). They emailed back saying they were looking into it. One week later received points. Hope that might help. Still worth trying.
