7.5k in 60 days is a lot for me.

    • +2

      Buy gift cards?

    • +38

Ok then don't.. um.. checks notes get it?

    • +2

The bar keeps getting higher. These deals used to require $3k only.

      • +1

        Different class.

Those are from the Premier CC - with annual fee apprx $300, min credit $10K.

    • -1

Ask for most expensive MacBook Pro and iPhone at apple, then return and get refund to different card, used to work

      • +4

How do you refund to a different card? The vendor will incur transaction fees if it isn't refunded to same card so they usually insist.

        • Say you had to cancel your credit cards due to Optus hack. Or you lost your wallet and cancelled the old card. How do they force you to refund on a cancelled card that you're waiting for a replacement for?

          • +6

            @NoApostrophePlurals:

How do they force you to refund on a cancelled card that you're waiting for a replacement for?

I'm not 100% certain of this, but I do deal with card payments as part of my job so 95% certain.

Starting with the "how" technically, if it's within 6 month of purchase, they can refund the card transaction which would go back to the original form of payment, they don't need the card details again just the transaction details which they presumably have. What happens then depends on your financial institution, if they have effectively just given you a new card (with different details) for the account, your balance will increase potentially into the positive. If they have effectively closed your account an opened a new one, the merchant can still send the money back to the closed account, and your bank will inform you and usually send you a cheque.

If the question was how they can legally do this, it's because that's what the law is. Not only can they usually choose to only return it to the original form of payment, to some extent they may be required to do so by the Anti Money Laundering laws. At a previous employer (where most transactions were in the thousands, when they weren't they were in the hundreds) all requests for refunds to something other than the original form of payment had to go via the Fraud and Risk team for approval, and had to be accompanies by a reason, proof of identity etc.

If there was an alternative-FOP refund with the reason given as the card being cancelled and unreasonable to get the money back from the issues (e.g. pre-paid card, divorce etc), then we had better not see an attempt to use that card again. Either it is the thief attempting to use a stolen card (if it is actually cancelled), or the person was lying about the situation (if it wasn't cancelled). Immediate red flag and triggering police and/or AUSTRAC reporting.

        • Much smaller transaction I knew, but at coles they allow you to use a different cc for a return/refund

        • Transaction fees are not refunded to the vendor. Not with Tyro anyway.

        • Can do at Bunnings usually, not sure about the transaction value though

      • Doesn’t work anymore. I couldn’t even refund something using Apple Pay with my watch because I’d paid using my iPhone

    • +3

Book an expensive and cancellable hotel?

    • Yes, they're certainly not aimed at the average ozbargain miser like myself lol

  • +3

Doesn't seem to exclude existing Citi card holders… Or am I blind?

    • Exactly what I am wondering….

    • +1

When I spoke to Citi about a year ago they said you could have more than one and won't impact bonus but no guarantees from me … I just don't want to mess up my payall arrangements 😉

    • +1

I tried to check the prerequisites for other cards from Citi a few months ago and their T&C's seemed to also forego any mention of… 'existing customers or those who have held/closed a card within the last 12 months etc…."

Could probably call and get an answer. Citi is a bit inefficient but their customer service is of adequate standards and in my experience far better than some of the big 4 (speaking pre-NAB acquisition)

    • Citi used to be quite easy to get multiple credit cards from (without exclusion period) but around the time they were sold (to NAB I think) all my applications were rejected. All subsequent application at other institutions were approved so I'd think my credit score wasn't the reason Citi rejected. I theorise that Citi now has unspecified exclusion period (more than 5 months as that was my gap).

  • Citibank payall fee free available till October 2023 is an interesting add on included in this card. Payall page still says offer ends October 22, but people on forums have been notified of fee free period being extended til October 2023

  • does anyone know if citibank do reward points for annual fee statement credit like westpac? if so what does it convert to?

  • Do I calculate it right to be also transferable to 150k Velocity points? That would be nice…
I can't find any condition of having a previous card in the past. I canceled my Citi Premier three months ago, wondering if I can apply for this one now.

    • +1

Yes, or 120,000 Krisflyer miles. I've personally owned both Signature and Prestige in the past, and got bonuses for both. Just remember to not apply with 4~6 months of opening one.

      • Just remember to not apply with 4~6 months of opening one

Is that due to impact on credit score?

        • No, Its somewhat common knowledge (specifically citibank) that you shouldn't apply say a premier than say a Privilege card within 4-6 months. The second card tends to get rejected. Also not sure if it applies here, but could eventually. NAB cards now have a 18 month waiting before applying another card, similar to Amex. This was previously 12 months.

          • +3

@starburstyellow: I applied and received a Premier card then applied and received a Prestige card the very next month no issues. This was last month, maybe I was just lucky (both still active)

            • @wangasm: Oh wow, thats great!! Ive heard horror stories of people wasting their credit score because of the above, but perhaps they have lowered their guard.

            • +1

@wangasm: same here…getting married soon so have lots of expenses…ive applied for the prestige, premier and rewards velocity card all with citibank leaving 1 month between. All bonuses came through no problems….now they are targetting me for that jbhifi voucher deal..so far scored another $1200 worth of vouchers….best cc deal ever….if you need to spend a lot of cash in a short time period (obviously only if you have the cash to pay them off too)..

  • Is this technically NAB processing the application at this point?

I noticed the minimum CC limit is now only 20,000 from 30,000 and they’ve dropped mention of the 150k minimum income requirement

    • +1

Pretty sure the 150k income is still a requirement

      • +1

        sad face!

      • -2

What if you make 141k p.annun?

  • +26

    Works out to be:
    126,000 Krisflyer miles
    157,500 Velocity points
$1,500 in Woolworths/Coles gift cards with 2,400 points remaining.

    • +1

      Minus annual fee.

    • +3

Worth noting last March Velocity had a 30% bonus transfer with Citi. If we're lucky enough to get that again, we're looking at a monster sign up bonus.

      • Even 157,500 is pretty good. That's enough for SQ return from Singapore to Europe in business class, an extra 30% would be incredible!

        • +5

Provided you can find any damn seats. Everyone is snapping up everything.

          • @jaygee: I find there’s decent availability from Singapore to Frankfurt usually, you just may have to deal with paying to fly SQ economy to Singapore

        • +3

That's not enough miles for a return, a saver or advantage one-way fare.

          • @txb: Aah sorry almost enough. Singapore to Frankfurt in business is 92,000 each way

        • -1

Check ur notes. Syd to london bis on singapore is circa 240k points return on saver

          • @MrThing: I said “Singapore to Europe” not “Sydney to Europe” haha

        • This is wrong - one way Sydney to Europe is 139k Velocity, stills miles better than 261k Krisflyer for a return ticket in business but you'll be lucky to get 1/5 the award availability of Singapore through Velocity.

          • @vodkaman: One way from Singapore to Frankfurt is 92,000, so almost enough for return.

            • @Sim69: yeah true - just gotta figure out how to get to singapore!

              • @vodkaman: Haha yeah. If you’re in Perth like me it’s not to bad to deal with economy for 4.5 hours as long as the long flight from Singapore to Europe is in business, although it wouldn’t be as nice if you’re flying 8 hours from Sydney

                • +1

@Sim69: Actually I just saw there's a promo for 25% when transferring from Citi to velocity which so the 300k would net you 187.5K velocity!

More than enough to do sing to Europe in J

          • @vodkaman: From my quick searches from Melbourne to London, in almost every situation Singapore KF flyer points are much cheaper than Velocity? Am I reading into this wrong? Why would anyone convert to velocity when it seems KF points are way better value.?

            • +1

@evasive: Yeah I would always use KF, the velocity thing is more about holding the points in system that doesn't let the points expire unlike KF which expires in 3 years. With the 25% bonus from velocity you are roughly getting the equivalent of 2.5:1 KF when you transfer at 1.55:1 from VF to KF.

              • @vodkaman: So for this card what are the ratios for each? Example 300k Citi points will give me how many velocity and how many KF?

But still - If I plan on using within 3 years then KF is automatically the best option still? Thanks

                  • @CodeXD: Ok so even with a worse ratio KF still seems to be the better choice given how much cheaper the flights actually are in point terms?

                    • @evasive: You'll have to work that out yourself. I rarely fly so I plan to convert my points to flybuys/gift cards.

                    • +1

@evasive: Short answer: Yes, but it depends on the flight. See my sheet here for a rough estimate
                      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13333652/redir

                      • @wangasm: Yeah but KF flights are on the whole way better value than velocity right. In examples I’ve tried the velocity flights cost obscenely more points on their respective websites.

                        • @evasive: Yup that's exactly what my sheet shows.
However, I was referring to routes. If you fly mostly domestic, Velocity will be better.

    • +1

      I thought for Krisflyer would be 120K @ 0.4?

      • +1

Included the amount you need to spend the earn the bonus * points per dollar

    • I thought velocity was 1:2.5 and krisflyer 1:3?

      https://www.pointhacks.com.au/credit-cards/citi-rewards-card…

  • Is the priority pass the full version or the cut down version, like amex platinum gets?

    • +1

Full version with the $40 or so credit that can be used at airport restaurants

    • +2

Can't believe how poorly done amex members were done

    • +3

Unlimited 'Priority Pass' is a pretty good deal

      • What does it actually mean?

        • +1

Means that the cardholder gets unlimited free access to any Priority Pass lounge plus the food credit. Base Priority pass membership only allows you to get in to a lounge for a fee and the next one up is good for 10 free visits a year (subsequent visits attract the usual fee).

          https://www.prioritypass.com/en/join-prioritypass

          • +1

@stigsphilocousin: The food credit is a game changer IMHO - $70 odd bucks between you and a guest goes a long way in the peroni bar et al and the options are much better than lounge food….

            • @Davelovesdealz: Are you sure? For $35, I doubt if you have any changes after 1 coffee + 1 water + pizza/pasta at Peroni.

              • @timhn: Well I usually take a guest so 70 bucks not 35 - its not going to be a kings feast but considering its free and there are 3 other places (last time I had this card pre-covid) in the airport you can also spend 70 at it goes a long way for sure

          • +1

@stigsphilocousin: What do you mean about food credits here, I’ve had a pretty good look through the info online and can’t seem to find any mention on this? Otherwise it seems pretty good, will just have to come out with pockets of food to feed to other 2 family members who miss out on the free guest pass…

            • @sibueno: There are several bars/places to eat at T1, T2, and T3 where you can use your membership as a credit to have a drink or eat; e.g., the Peroni Bar at T1 allows members to use a visit entitlement to get $36 off food and drink. If you bring a guest, you get $72 off (1 member + 1 guest)

https://www.prioritypass.com/en/lounges/australia/sydney-kin… (look at the Conditions section where they explain how it works).

              • @stigsphilocousin: Ahh ok thanks - One place in Brisbane airport - but doing a trip to Europe this Xmas via US so would def be worth it!

          • @stigsphilocousin: If you apply for a supplementary card holder, do they get PP benefits as well?

      • +2

only if you could use. Just returned from Greece via sing. Many lounges now categorically refuse entry to PP members on account of lounge being full.
Some say return after an hour (after passengers of flight XYZ have left the lounge) and some just have a notice at the entrance saying entry NA for PP members.
        YMMV.

        • was that lounge in GR or SG ?

          • +1
            • @maverick1: wow

do these lounges have "restricted" seating,
eg. every second seat is left empty for 'social distancing' ?

( i heard that some airlines have middle-row seating empty,
hence why plane tickets are still expensive )

              • +1

@whyisave: nope, no restricted seating. Just too many people traveling atm.
my flight was packed, not one single seat empty.

        • Lounges often suck in Asia in terms of availability. Even once you get in after queueing, you can look forward to no seats and more queueing at the buffet area.

  • It appears to be better offer than $160k Qantas points offer from ANZ.

If you hold 2 eligible cards with Citibank, can you setup PayPal on both cards for $35k each per month?

    • If you hold 2 eligible cards with Citibank, can you setup PayPal on both cards for $35k each per month?

I assume this is some way to manufacture spend? Can you elaborate on how it would work?

      • +2

Sorry typo, I was supposed to write PayAll.

        • +1

The $35k is dropping to $20k limit on PayAll.
More of a concern is do you want them looking to closely at your existing $35k if you're trying to double down with more?

  • +3

Priority pass for $350 already seems like a pretty good deal tbh

    • Can get this with Westpac Black also.

      • +1

Comparing considerably different levels of Priority Passes lol. Westpac Black comes with two lounge passes a year, this is an unlimited access one, including use at Priority Pass restaurants.

        • My bad, thanks!

          • @Ehty: No worries. Just clarifying as I only recently got the Westpac Black and it's Priority Pass is definitely not that generous haha.

  • +1

Is paying $350 for the annual fee worth it?

    • +1

For first year, its $700pa … seem hardly worth it

      • +2

Yea figured so. Unless we take the points, use them and cancel card?

    • If you do a lot of flights without loungue access then the $40 food credit for each flight could make it a reasonable deal.

  • +2

Applied for it, asking me to submit further docs via email but email says not to reply in that email but also does not give any link to submit these docs. Quite confusing.

    • +1

in the email should have address/upload where to send it to, not reply if i remember correctly

    • +2

thats why Citi is no more.

    • +1

Citi are beyond incompetent for credit cards. Only joint i have ever been declined ( acfew years back, met all criteria). Word in forums from others declined was that they weeded out those with lower spend/always pay on time but it just reaked of indiscriminate incompetence to me.

    • Same here, no links, no reply emails; they sent the email twice!

    • What is the minimum salary?

      • -2

        $150.000

        • +1

By looking at fine print only a good credit history now, it doesn't quote a salary.

    • Did you find a solution to this? Got the same issue myself

      • Nope, they sent another email this morning but still the same thing, nowhere to upload the documents they're asking

        • +1

I rang up and they told me to send the documents to [email protected]

I suggested to the Phillipino worker that maybe somebody should update the email to have an actual link, but she couldn't give a shit and just replied with 'Yes sir'.

          • @Fish and Grits: Did you get a response to the new email? I called and they gave me that same email address. I did not want to send it there based upon my call with the worker…application is still being processed.

            • +1

@Robot16: Nah she said up to 14 days.

            • +1

@Robot16: Just after I posted this comment, I got another email and tried again and this time I could upload the documents.

              • @Fish and Grits: @Fish and Grits thanks for letting me know! Good luck with yours.

              • @Fish and Grits: Very interesting. In this new email, did you still use the Reference No.? Because when I track my status using that one it's still not letting me upload anything. Or is it a completely new link that they gave you?

                • +1

@bellroy26: The new email had a link for Application Retrieval, the email that didn’t work was just “Check my Application Status”

    • Same as me.

I provided the doc during the app process. They asked for it again but with no link to upload.

Logging into Citi the app number digits are less than what the site accepts..

      • +1

Exactly. It's asking for another id than the reference they gave when I made the application.

  • +1

will you loose the premier $0 for life if apply for this one?

    • +1

      Why would they do that?

Just for your reference, i have the free4life one and also got several Premier/Signature cards in the past 2 years or so.

  • 3.4% international transaction fee makes this less appealing for me

  • -8

$1150 profit from $7500 spend makes it a ~15% return, which is actually pretty poor as far as cc offers go.

    Pass.

    • How much is expected?

    • +8

You're only counting the value given by the points though, not to mention you're somehow calculating a 15% return in an odd way anyway… I would see a better value calculation using your figures as simply (-$350)+$1500=$1150 profit or 328.5% return?

The unlimited visits to priority pass lounges worldwide (+ 1 guest) seems to be equivalent to the Priority Pass Prestige membership that costs $429 USD too.

    • +5

As much as I try, I don't understand your math.
Your $7500 does not go towards the card, that goes to your own investment or spending, whatever that is.
The points are also a one-way business class to Europe.

    • +5

That's not how you calculate a return lol

      • -2

Geez OK people, "return" was probably not the right term. Let's try "cash back".

My "cash back" % calculation is how I compare offers. For example I just got the HSBC deal, $500 cash back from $3000 spend, or 16.6%. Also not that great, but a lot better than the 2% from the HSBC debit card.

        • That could definitely be a useful metric depending on how you calculate the offer value, but yes not exactly a 'return (on investment)'.

I would love to see a rotating, updatable google doc with this similar to the Accounts Leaderboard that uses this type of metric among others to compare CC offers/deals… that would be a great tool for churners and bargainers alike… a bit of work for upkeep and availability though given the duration cycles for credit card offers…

          • @Jayblesz: I don't know why you got so many downvotes endolphin. It's exactly how I compare between offers and distinguish between whether a high spend, in this case $7,500, is comparable to a card that has a lower spend requirement. I mean, why try and find stuff to buy to meet $7,500 when I could do my normal groceries etc and meet a $1,500 spend and get $300 cashback (20%) (CBA Low Fee Gold).

I'm surprised a lot of people here just look at the $ figure of the profit/cashback and ignore the minimum spend requirement.

    • +1

      Lol

  • Do you have to wait 12 months before reapplying for this card to get the points? e.g held premier within the past 12 months

  • Can anyone confirm if past customers are excluded? And if they still require $150,000 minimum income?

Closed the citi Premier a couple months ago but pretty tempted to get some points I can convert to something other than Qantas.

    • -5

      Yes for both questions.

      • +1

        And where is this stated?

      • Wait 150k minimum? Damn.

    • +6

150k household + neighbours income combined?

    • +1

i contacted customer service a few days ago. both answers are no.

    • +1

called and I was told 150k not required, regular income required.,

      • -1

        what is regular income?

        • -2

          Centrelink?

  • +4

Citi good old days is gone, still remember the time when I called them and ask for a cheque to self.
And free fee Citi Premier for life.

    • +5

I still hold my free for life Citi Premier today, they recently also dropped the minimum credit limit from 15000 to 10000

      • What's so good about citi Premier?

        • +3

basically nothing good except 2 free priority pass entries per year
its was free so no complain at all

          • @littlesoldier: Wasn't it also a rewards points card? I have a feeling that NAB might regret your cards in time.

            • @fuzor: Yes it is
However at the time of offer there's no initial card bonus
and the reward points earning isn't that too attractive either
(2 points online spending, 2 points international spending, 1 point domestic spending)

          • +1

@littlesoldier: how do you activate the priority pass?

            • +4

              @rogsamsy: got it..

To re-enrol/activate your membership simply follow the below steps:
              1. Download the Priority PassTM App via your Apple App Store or get it on Google Play
              2. Visit prioritypass.com/premieraumc
              3. Enter Invitation Code CTPRM331
              4. Complete the digital form, including your Citi Premier Card details

      • that's the Citi Signature Visa card, becoming Citi Premier Mastercard right ?

I signed up many years ago, under their "Family & Friends" offer, for $0 annual fee,
but the $15k credit limit affected other aspects such as refinancing, credit cards, etc.

I wish I could drop this Citi Premier credit limit down to $10k then.

        • +2

Yes, thats the Signature -> Premier card
I signed up via the same offer
And yes, you can lower credit limit to $10k now (just login to Citi online portal and change to $10k)
I did the same and able to lower the limit

          • @littlesoldier: Thanks for confirming that :-)

That high limit affected me many times, with other credit applications.
I don't buy anything using 'credit' and any outstanding payments, are always paid off.

            • +1

              @whyisave: same here mate
that $15k credit limit was always making me to think of cancelling it
but I knew this free for life offer wont be happened again

              • @littlesoldier: Citi had that "Family & Friends" offer a few times,
and after I signed up, they never offered it again.
It was such a good card to me,
and I used the 2x Priority Passes annually,
enjoying lounge access in Thailand or Bali or Copenhagen.

I'm still holding onto this Citi Premier Mastercard,
and got a $0 annual fee AMEX for its perks,
but the days of Credit Card with generous offers are gone.

Now, I'm eyeballing the St. George Amplify Visa card,
as they have a relatively decent introductory offer ;-)

                • +1

@whyisave: For some unknown reasons I got rejected by St. George twice in my life
never have the same issues with Westpac, ANZ, NAB or AMEX

My last application with St George didnt even told me the reason but just rejected after 2 weeks of wait
then applied the same tier in Westpac (black Qantas) and got the card approved in 3 days

                  • @littlesoldier: Same with me. StG rejected me within 24hr after applying for their Qantas CC. Went to NAB and had no problem getting the similar tier CC.

              • @littlesoldier: When I applied a mortgage last year, I tried very hard to keep this card (20k limit, I had to cancel all other credit cards); when I refinanced a couple months ago, I happily found out I could reduce the limit to 15k (though I wished an even lower limit); when I tried to apply the Comm’s ultimate credit card last week, I noticed I could reduce its limit further! A bit too late for mortgage or other refinancing matters for me, but I hope it will be easier for me to get mr application for the ultimate card approved.

        • I used to get declined by StG until i opened a cheque account with them, left it open a few months then closed it.

          • @GoodQuestion: How does it help by opening a cheque account? Do you have to deposit any specific amount?

            • @nnaa8287: Well i dont know for sure - just hypothesising but its the only variable that changed really. Im assuming by having an account with them it helps with the equation of getting accepted. I just did some bs transfers in and out.

      • Not for the Premier Visa, I just checked

        • You mean you can't lower limit to 10000?
I have done it last month and my statement shows as well: https://ibb.co/bNDt7v0

You need to manually login and lower the limit
          https://ibb.co/Qj9cq3k

          • @littlesoldier: Thanks for the screenshots. I tried in both mobile app and netbank, doesn't allow me to continue if I want to change it to 10k. The screenshot below doesn't capture the pop up warning but it basically says it's below the minimum.

            https://ibb.co/xYr2GV0

btw, I have a Premier Visa, not sure it that makes a difference.

            • @citybargainhunter: Hm.. thats weird
When I first got my free for life Signature it was a Visa too
But since changing to Premier they gave me a MasterCard instead
and I couldnt find Premier Visa in the current Citi website too: https://www1.citibank.com.au/credit-cards/travel-rewards

              • @littlesoldier: Yeah my Premier card looks almost identical, but instead of the MasterCard logo down the bottom right, it says Visa Signature. Maybe this card is discontinued. I have no fee for life as well, have had it for 10+ years.

Edit: OK, so I just called up Citi and was told that they no longer issue Visa cards, so when my Visa card expires they will send me a MC instead and I will be able to lower the limit.

            • @citybargainhunter: same here….I called up and you can reduce to 10k with the Mastercard. They advised my MC is being sent next week

  • i just got myself amex charge card! facepalm

    • +2

St. George Amplify card seems to be a good deal for a Visa card now.

    • amex platinum charge charge has its own benefits
while its higher in annual fee, it wont hurt your credit limit as its not a credit card
$20k credit limit is very high imo and will be a challenge to most home loans / refinancing
until you have really high salary….

      • @littlesoldier Will it affect your credit score still if you cancel the Citi card and Close the account after you collect your points? I want to buy a house in the next 2 years but I only want this card for the points and will cancel when done.

  • +2

I used to love Priority Pass until they no longer have access to Plaza Premium lounges
Been always using PP to access Plaza Premium in Hong Kong airport and love the range of hot food they provided
way better than Qantas Club lounge IMO

For frequent fryer I reckon AMEX platinum might still be the better option
while its $1450 annual fee, primary card + additional cards all get access to the global lounge network (including each having a PP membership)

But given say that, $350 cost to get the reward points is still a great deal
Tho the $20000 min credit limit might not easy to get card approval for those having other home loans
given the current interest rate is keep raising

    • If you’re not a fan of the HK Qantas lounge, try the Cathay First lounges next time!

Has anyone ever tried to meet a spend requirement via a PayPal money request to, for instance, your friend/SO's account? I mean, it's technally a purchase transaction no different to buying off eBay or Facebook Marketplace and paying with PayPal, right?

Quick calculation shows that the fee included for buyer protection (given that it's a purchase for goods 7.5k @2.6%+0.3) is only $195.30.

Add $350 [half] annual fee and it'll total $545.30 for $1500+ value, aka minimum $954.70 profit plus all the other perks….

    • -1

Paypal is generally excluded. There is a bunch of simpler methods to do instead such as paying bills via a payment processor such as beemit or zippay. I suggest just using beemit and prepay towards your income tax bill. You will get a refund from the tax department if you ultimately overpaid.

      • +1

Do you just beemit to your ato bpay id or whats the right way?

        • You can find your ATO BPAY details by going to your MyGov account. Then select ATO / Tax / Payments / Payment / BPAY and use the BPAY details shown for Income Tax.

      • Wow:) this is genius 👏🙌
So can i beamit 7k to my ato in hope of next years tax? Or do I need to have an outstanding debt to Ato before they will accept beamit?

        • +1

You do not need to have an outstanding debt. You can build up a balance inside the Income Tax account and can also request a refund back if you have a positive balance and no other outstanding tax debts.

    • Side Note:
AMEX Membership Points now can be used to redeem Paypal spends.

      • Heard about this, but never figure out how to do it as I do not see the option in Paypal.

  • Makes me wonder how many here earn $150k+ a year.

    https://www.pointhacks.com.au/credit-cards/citibank-prestige…

    • This is an outdated pointhacks listing for this card/offer.
It's very similar but OP's direct link shows no mention of minimum income requirement and the minimum credit limit is $20k instead of $30k as listed in the pointhacks page.

      Everyone here is 200k plus

      Whirlpool 300k plus

      • +1

Based on the spending habit here, I would say you're not far off

      • +1

I don't believe people with an annual salary of 20k plus will find bargains here.
If you are here please let me know.

      • +5

Reddit 300k plus and 7.5million in share.

  • +3

I'm a drug dealer lmao, minimum spend easily met.

  • +3

If this has payall, wouldn’t you be able to transfer out the required spend and pay it back and still have it count towards the $7500 required spend?

    • +1

and whether it count towards the min spending requriement

      • +4

I live chatted them - pay all counts towards spend hurdle

        • +1

Wait so you can just pay a mate the entire $7500 spend via PayAll…. and your friend can just give you the money back?

That effectively makes the minimum spend requirement a non-event. Surely not…whats the catch?

          • @jimboner: Im sure you can 😉 but confirm with cotiBank live chat first?

            • @shegeloaf: Live chat is only available to customers as need to log in first…. :/

  • Would love if anybody is able to advise of minimum income requirements if anybody somehow finds out for sure :)

    • -3

Prestige card has a minimum income requirement of 150k, double of the Premier card.

      • +1

You are basing this off of what?

      • This is incorrect. There is no income requirement. They only require regular income. Confirmed on their live chat.

  • Citi has the most odd rejection criteria. Would probably avoid if you're self employed…

    • It's taken by NAB now but not sure whether assessment remains…

  • 7.5k now that's a challenge! I wish I knew of this about 6 weeks ago. Just got the car done for 1100 alone.

    That's a challenging amount

    • Citi PayAll lets you put rent payments and school fees on it, even if they’re just bank transfers, making it more achievable.

      • +2

Technically you can PayAll to bank account (no fee) and then pay it back again. Does PayAll count for meeting requirements?

        • +1

Yeah, I’ve used it for meeting the spend on another of their cards. It earns points too.

I imagine you could just transfer to a bank account and back, as right now there’s no fee for PayAll. Eventually though there will be.

          • @DustyAfternoon: Can the bank account be yourself or have to be someone else?

            • @superozbargain: I paid my flatmate.

To be fair, that’s actually how we process our rent—it goes into his account first, then to the landlord. But for all Citi knows, he just gave it right back to me.

Now personally if I were to try to game the system, I wouldn’t make it obvious. Paying yourself would be a tad too blatant.

I’d also keep in mind that I’ve told Citibank what my rent is during the application process. It’d be a little odd to say I pay 1.3k a month, only to turn around and put through 7.5k in a single payment.

          • @DustyAfternoon: This almost seems too good to be true.
So, you could meet your minimum spend by just transferring $7.5k to a family member and earn points while you're at it? Seems like I am missing something…

            • +1

@ozbargain2019: It’s a new offering, so I suspect they’re still building up a customer base and working out the kinks.

In future there will be a 1.5% or so fee on it, which will put a premium on just doing transactions like that. Right now it’s fee-free.

Thinking it through, there may also be adverse tax implications for the person you send it to, if Citi tags the payment as rental income behind the scenes. Last thing you want is to accidentally donate a couple of grand to the ATO.

Even using it as intended, it’s a great offering right now. It’s an extra thousand points or so per month, for free, and takes out a huge chunk of the minimum spend. (Especially if you put school fees through it.)

  • One side note: NO GooglePay available with Citi cards.

  • Can someone please explain how to book business class using points ? Be it KrisFlyer or anything else.

Whenever I've tried to book, it shows the dollar value in points.

Not sure how people are booking business class for 120000 points. Am I missing something ?

    Is there a guide ?

    • Login to krisflyer and select the "redeem flights" radio button then put in your inbound and outbound. I think the 120k points you are referring to was the previous Sydney to Europe one way save requirement. It was 116k one way or 232k return for business to Europe from Aus. They've since increased it to 261k return or 130.5k one way.

  • +1

Applied for this part of this year’s churn, and got rejected without reason, despite meeting the criteria. Only St George has rejected me in the past. Be cautious while applying.

    • +1

I've heard of Citi not being "churn" friendly. I'm so tempted to apply but won't for that reason. Nothing worse than a credit check for a declined app.

      • Meh ive had many declines and many more accepts… just comes with the territory

  • Any one know how long it takes to process asuming no issues?

    • Usually 5-10 business days but depends on whether all supporting documents are ready, I believe this card might take slightly longer to approve given the minimum credit limit is $20000

      • +1

next day for me. i got a citi home loan though

  • Is this better than ANZ app offer 160,000 qantas points and $225 cashback?

    • Depends whether you are after Qantas, Virgin or Singapore air

Note that ANZ Qantas can also earn towards point club and club point plus, which give you access to Qantas club lounge. Priority Pass cannot gain access to domestic lounge but can claim food credits in some domestic airport

    • Do you have the li k to ANZ offer please?

      • +1

        Yeah, that's bad…

  • +4

I had this card for many years before it all went downhill.

    My observations FWIW:

    1) removing the $150K minimum income is good for those on the cusp but also means they are getting desperate for business. I suspect the incentives will get worse. See below 2) below
    2) When I had the card, it was easy to defend the value as it had
    a) priority pass (which they still have now) - $350-400 value
    b) one free night at most hotels (downgraded to 4th night free) - $350 value
    c) 2x airport hired car picks up (removed altogether) - $150 value
    d) Fast pass at the airport for international flights (removed altogether) - $50
    3) my annual fee was always 50%, i.e. $350 which was well below the value I got from the above

If you reflect on the above vs. what they offer now, its a fraction of the value. The only redeeming feature is the PayAll which if you read between the lines has value (12x whatever you put through in points per month). I had a $70K credit limit at the time so it was also a new brainer taking advantage of the PayAll feature (frankly. I don't know how they can afford to keep this up).

If you are a high income earner and want better bang for buck, get the American express platinum. despite the annual fee, it is much better value overall. Saying that, YMMV.

    • PayAll lets you cycle between your own accounts while getting points?

    • +2

payall has a limit of 20k per month now

      • ah damn…. all over then. I think it was unlimited at the time (well up to your credit limit per month).

      • Just checked their website, it is 100% of your limit or 35k per month (whichever is lower)
Not sure if that still works out for some people.

        • the website is not updated. apply and you'll get an updated flyer with the welcome package which details the new limit

      • may i ask what this PayAll feature is?

        • +3

pay any australian bsb+acc using the prestige card and get rewards points just as usual purchase

          • +1

@thekensai: even if its just a transfer to a friends or family bank account, you will still get rewards points?

    • +2

Where do you see the values for Amex platinum? I quite can't think of anything useful apart from travel and dining credit especially given the limited AMEX acceptance. Thinking about getting Qantas Premier Titanium instead but then no google pay support…

      • +1

I thought the Titanium wasn't great given high fees and limited use (qantas points only).

        My justifications for Platinum:
        - $450 travel credit (I know its marked up but lets just say its worth $300)
        - $200 + 200 dining credit (plenty to choose from so I think its worth its face value)
        - one night free (roughly) at Accor (let say $200 but can be as high as $350 subject to hotel)
        - priority pass - not as good as blanket version vs. Citi's one but lets say $200 value
        - gold status at Hilton, Starwood (Bonyage), Shangri-la - give it whatever value you want, lets just say $100

so on paper alone, thats $1200 of value but there are plenty of random other bonuses. For example, they offered $300 dining credit no minimum spent and a $150 hotel / car booking credit this year.

appreciate these are all travel / dining incentives but the point conversion is better too, you get 2.25 pts per $ spent. Thats a better ratio than citibank which only offers 3 pts per $ spent on international transaction and select hotels, etc. Otherwise its 1 pt per $1.

        again, YMMV

        • one more to add as "benefit" is free additional cards (up to 4 card)
each card also gain unlimited access to AMEX centurion lounge (bring 2 guests) and each card also has the "cut-down" version of Priority pass (bring 1 guest)
[cut-down meaning no restaurant / cafe credits, but just lounge access]
So to value up the Priority pass worth more than $200 if you have give additional cards to other family members

          Another things to consider is
Comparing to Citi Prestige with $20000 min credit limit
Platinum is a charge card so it wont hurt your credit limit
Been talking to a few folks with this card and bank ignore this card while processing home loans / refinancing

          • +1

@littlesoldier: yes good one. Agree with all.

          • -1

@littlesoldier: Hey mate can you confirm what you mean by the bank ignore this card? Like the $20k credit limit doesn't affect your borrowing capacity?

Also can't you use the payall feature domestically to count for the 3 points per $1 by paying your own account?

  • +2

I wish they were more transparent with the required income level, if it's not $150k, make it clear. Is it 100k? 80k?

For hoops to jump through and then to hit your credit score, I would prefer transparency.

127k Krisflyer miles would be nice for me. But I think 60k Velocity for no annual fee and less than half the required spend is still the better option for most people: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725401

Add NAB Platinum through this link for 40k Velocity for $95 Annual Fee and $1k spend: https://www.nab.com.au/personal/credit-cards/offers/nab-low-…

AMEX has Platinum Edge card via CashRewards with $140 cashback, $200 travel voucher for $0 fee, no spend, requires $3k limit. https://www.cashrewards.com.au/amex-platinum-edge-card

Commbank has Low fee Gold Card: $300 cashback for $1500 spend, $0 fee and $4k limit minimum. and free travel insurance with no spend, if you "activate" it. No foreign transaction fees. https://www.commbank.com.au/credit-cards/low-fee-gold.html?e…

So apply for 4 cards instead, get 100k velocity, $440 cashback, $200 travel voucher, all for $95 annual fee (NAB card) and $5500 required spend.

    • +3

Problem is credit hits, you can't compare applying for 1 card vs applying for 4.

      • -2

You can compare it, I just did. Most people have decent credit, even with 650 score I was getting approved for non-platinum cards and AMEX explorer, but now my credit score is 827 so I have a lot of runway.

I'd rather keep applying for multiple cards with lower spend limits, churn and close. End of Nov I can apply for Westpac Altitudes Platinum again, which is about 38k KF miles. Next year HSBC Platinum and St George again, and I'm closing my Suncorp Platinum to reapply next year, so I have a good cycle for Velocity/KF points, just need a few more cards / offers in the cycle.

    • +1

Tack on the fact that if you hit the spend and NAB pay out quickly you can pro-rata most of the annual fee and reduce the total cost to maybe 1-2 months of the NAB fee. Call it $15.83 for 2 months of the card.

      • are you saying here that you cancel card once bonus points have been issued and request pro-rata refund on the annual fee you've paid (even a reduced one) before finalising and paying out?

        • +1

Yep. Call them to cancel and ask for the pro rata refund to be credited back onto the card. Pay what's left of the balance and then the card will close. Start the 12 month countdown until you can rinse and repeat.

      • Yes, only 1 payslip.. no proof of other income are required at all… Unlike st george which requested heaps of doco then decline without any reason

        • +1

same here, st george was the worst card application experience I have ever had

        • My experience with StG too until i opened a cheque account on an OzB $40 deal then closed after a few months. I wonder if that gave me some “standing” with StG first.

      • Has this card been removed? I can't see on the rwrds site anymore?

    Eligible Transaction is defined in the Citi Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and means;

any purchase excluding (but not limited to) Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, BPAY payments, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, payments to other Citi branded accounts, bank fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges, transactions made using Points and government related transactions. Government related transactions include transactions with government or semi-government entities, or relating to services provided by or in connection with government (for example but not limited to transactions made at Australia Post, payments to the Australian Taxation Office, council rates, motor registries, tolls, parking stations and meters, fares on public transport, fines and court related costs). Please note that whether or not a transaction is an Eligible Transaction will be determined based on information provided either by the merchant or the relevant financial institution (including information about the type of business conducted by the merchant). This means that, for example, spend with certain merchants may be characterised as spend with a government related entity and therefore not an Eligible Transaction, even if that merchant is not in fact a government related entity; or
any Citi PayAll Payments (for Domestic Spend only, International Spend is excluded)

but excludes any transaction that you are not permitted to make under your Account Terms and Conditions.

I was hoping to use this card to pay the council rates, oh well I think I need to consider sending my kids to a private school in order to spend $7500 lol.

      • You could probably use Sniip to pay council rates.

        • +1

          BeemIt also works

    • Is this the same as an eligible payment though?

The footnote to the bonus on the webpage says:
Eligible purchases exclude Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, interest, fees, refunds, Chargebacks and spend on a Linked Diners Club Card.

I was hoping to pay my rent via BPAY

      • So payall is excluded as well?
Thinking of paying rent through payall as well to cover the spending requirements

        • +2

pretty sure payall is included. I received my 60k VFF points last week from Citi by paying myself $3k with payall. However, always use your card first on day to day stuff like groceries, utils, etc before doing payall. My account got blocked as it was suspected fraud so I had to call Citi and get it unblocked.

          • -1

@twistedbow: How fast do the points come in after reaching min spend?

            • @braker: don't recall the exact days but within few working days.

    • That's a long paragraph but I read it as domestic PayAll being an "Eligible Transaction", right?

  • 20k credit limit damn. Be some pretty steep salary requirement on that?

  • So what does 300,000 Citi Rewards Points get you at Citi?

    • +1

$100 Woolies gift card is about 20,000 points.

  • +2

I ran the numbers on this card and it isn't as great as it is cracked out to be. You're better off going for the premier which gives you 150k bonus points. You'll actually get about the same if not $10 less in gc on this compared to the 150k card.
Getting this card means unless you're ready to spend 7.5k you'll struggle with the short period of 60 days. Moreover, if the min credit limit is 20k so it will take a big hit on your credit report otherway.
My recommendation is to for the smaller card and just get another one to churn right after. A difference of spending $500 less in 60 days to get what appears to be more value but it quite isn't (since annual fee is high) isn't the best way to go.

  • Looks like PayAll is only free until end of this month or for recurring transactions set up by then. Otherwise its 2% - so for 7.5k it would cost $150 in fees.

    Unless I missed something?

    • Where have you read this?

      • On the fees section on this page:

        https://www1.citibank.com.au/offers-benefits/PayAll1

Is there a fee for using Citi PayAll?

For all Citi PayAll payments set up between 1 April 2021 to 31 October 2022 (the Period), the Citi PayAll fee will be reduced to 0%.

Any recurring Citi PayAll payments set up during the Period will not incur the Citi PayAll fee for the duration in which those payments are scheduled to occur. Any recurring Citi PayAll payments set up prior or after the Period will be charged the standard Citi PayAll fee of 2% of the amount of the Citi PayAll payment. This fee will apply to all recurring payments made for the duration in which those payments are scheduled to occur.

        • Thanks, I might have to review when my transaction ends and extend it to end on Oct 2023

I'm currently transferring 15k each month so that's approx $66 in reward points so it almost pays for my Superloop NBN

    • Checkout this comment by chillysbags

Ppl have been told it's extended to October 2023 but you should double check with citibank directly.

  • What is the income requirement?

    • I just called them - apparently no definite income requirement. She told me to apply and then something along the lines of "they assess if you can afford making the repayments", sorry I can't repeat her exact words.

  • General CitiBank question - do they pro rata the annual fee for credit cards? I’ve had the Premier for 2 months and would cancel it for this.

    • Yes, unless they've changed after the NAB merge, I've always received pro-rata from Citi.

      • +1

With Citi, i believe you have to request for that - at least with my last experience with them.

  • Can’t decide between this and converting to emirates or getting a card with QFF and booking rewards flights
QFF is very difficult to book business rewards, costs 240k + 2k tax to book a return to Middle East
Meanwhile emirates costs 2k for an economy ticket and 120k points to upgrade to business
Thinking of ditching qantas and going with Citi then converting to emirates (3:1 transfer)

    • +1

As a QF gold i found business rewards flights non existent so I stopped accruing qantas points, total waste of time IMO. But YMMV

      • Minimum 6 months, often 9 months+ advance booking required for QF business reward booking.

  • I am stuck between this card and the ANZ Black 160 points for existing customers.

    Has anyone compared the two?

    • +2

Apply both at the same time
Credit check might not able to know the other card exist :)

      • Hehe. If only I had enough to spend across both cards :-)

      • Actually the RWDS site compares the benefits on the two. Spend more on citi and get more rewards

        • Just on rewards aspect Citi might be better
But if you are after lounge access
Citi Prestige give unlimited priority pass which worth a lot if you do lots of international travels
ANZ qantas black points count towards Qantas Plus Plus membership
And getting complimentary Qantas Club if you get 350k points

So at the end depends on your lifestyle and needs

    • which is the ANZ offer for existing customers? Do you have a link?
      Thanks

  • What have people used Citi PayAll for? Understand we can't use it to pay a home loan… But assume practically, you can send $$ to your own bank account for your monthly rent etc, can you just send yourself $$ for one off expenses like flights to europe? Does PayAll count as a transaction toward the 7.5k spend? Thanks All

    • +2

I can't see how Citi can tell anything about the destination bank account,so you can pretty much use it for anything. Regarding counting towards the spend, see my earlier post in this thread.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12755442/redir

    • What have people used Citi PayAll for?

      Try this thread

    • Good question. The other thread didn't really answer whether it could be used for a home loan or not. Just that it "shouldn't", whatever that means.

  • PayAll seems to count towards Minimum Spend

    • Hang on so if I use PayAll for my ATO tax bill, I’ll still hit minimum spend and get the points?

      • Check my post just above.

        • Amazing, thanks!

        • +1

How many points per dollar for Payall. Last year, I used payall and beemit for ATO tax. The Beemit transfers earnt twice as many points (with each beemit entry showing an additional "bonus points" amount in the points transaction list). I am guessing they were classified as retail spend but can't be sure. This was for a CitiPremier free for life card if anyone is interested.

    • doesn't payall attract any cash advance fee and interest?

      • +2

Correct, no fees until Oct 2023

        • thanks for that!

        • where do you see this? i checked with Citi online and they advised its only until Oct this year

          • @qq830821: We received an email stating an extension until Oct 2023.

          • +1

@qq830821: screenshot of the email: https://ibb.co/JFP6BBz

            • @littlesoldier: Thank you muchly. Strange it is still showing Oct 22 on their website.

              Hopefully this is not targetted

              • -1

@qq830821: this card specifically has it until oct 23, even lists that on the offer page

oct 22 is for other citi cards with payall

              • @qq830821: Any luck with this?

I just called Citi and they confirmed on their website that it is only valid till Oct 22

  • -2

So you guys are cancel the card after getting first half of the points or will continue to keep it for next year to get 2nd part of the points?

    • +1

It seems like the points are awarded together. Where does it say in two halves?

  • For this card, you earn 2 Citi reward Points per $1 on Eligible Transactions made directly with major: supermarkets, petrol outlets and national retailers. May I know what is considered a national retailer ? Does Citi provide any list on their website for specific retailers ? I guess national retailers will include Kogan or Amazon, right ?

  • Can anyone confirm if paying council rates using Payall, beemit or sniip works with this card?

    • not sure but you can use payall to pay yourself (to non-citi bank account) then use that money to pay bills.

  • did they extend payall 0% fee promo to oct 2023? pretty sure it was oct 2022 or is it only for specific cards or customers?

    • +1

For all Citi PayAll payments set up between 1 April 2021 to 31 October 2023 (the Period), the Citi PayAll fee will be reduced to 0%

How long did people take to get approved? Submitted 2 days ago, with evidence. Status just says in progress.

    • +1

Within a couple of hours yesterday afternoon.

      • Just got the approval.

OMG $41.5k limit. That's way too much!

        • +4

lol that's why you always ask for the minimum

          • @[Deactivated]: That wasn't an option here I think.

Anyway looks like I can request a reduction in the app. Will wait for the card first though.

            • @gadgetguy: It was an option when you were applying. I always go for the minimum as I just churn, unless of course the minimum won't cover the school fees that I time opening new cards to coincide with.

              • @carlenet: I think it said either accept the credit limit they assign, or pick your own, and I didn't know what the minimum limit was. I don't believe there was a "minimum" option.

[EDIT] Just noticed, the minimum limit was posted on the deal. My bad.

    • +3

Mine is still not approved (or rejected), application date 04-Oct
Have submitted all the documents at the time of application, but no update what-so-ever

      • How long did it end up taking?

        • It was eventually approved, I think around a week.
They did called me to confirm some details on my application (my employment details)

    • +1

I submitted application 2 days ago
Login to check the status, still showing as "Pending for assessment"
Did a Live Chat and been told it is still processing

Didnt receive any calls or emails about the status tho

      • How long did it end up taking?

        • Nothing happen until I called the Citibank verification hotline (1800 807 138)
After verification got card successful message within 2 days

          • @littlesoldier: Cool, thanks. Did you upload files as part of the application?

            • +1

              @Gumbootboy: Yes I did
When I call the verification hotline the lady asked me some questions regarding the documents I have uploaded (eg. payslips)

  • Anyone getting rejected from credit card applications lately?

I've been rejected twice (St Geroge and Qantas premier) in a row even though I've never defaulted and my income is way more than enough to service the credit amount.

The only thing I can think of is that I've been churning for the last few years and have churned through 14ccs already.
Not sure if that's the reason.
They put down the reject reasoning as: past relatinship with lender? what does that even mean. I've always paid on time and have never had any issues with the bank (and vice versa).

Would like to know if anyone is experiencing this as well. Thanks!

    • +2

I had been accepted for numerous CC's but got auto rejected for the CBA cashback card which had the lowest income requirement of all the cards I had applied for. Who knows at the end of the day what they are deciding.

    • +3

You would have been denied for Qantas Premier if you had held a Citi/NAB product recently and closed. I believe they are more strict now on their white label products (such as Qantas Money, Coles Financial Services, Kogan etc) after the takeover from NAB. I got flat out denied by Coles Financial earlier this year without even a credit hit, because they saw I closed Citi Premier 3 months earlier.

St George are well known for denying for no apparent reason, probably a similar thing to Citi whereby they most likely check applications internally in the WBC group against Westpac, St George, Bank of Melbourne, Bank of SA. They apparently are also a bit weird about opening a savings account to get the $0 AF offer, and opening a CC shortly after.

After the outcomes of the royal commission, probably need to be a lot more vigilant when churning cards from the same company/group.

      • Great info. Thanks for sharing mate!

it's crazy how you can qualify for all the requirements but then get outright rejected for a completely different reason that's not listed.
At the end of the day, it just hurts the consumers' credit scores as their credit enquiries pile up for nothing.

      • +1

yeah i dunno i closed a nab card and then opened a citi and qantas card pretty close together (all nab products) without issue

      • I hope this will be the case for me as it has been processed without an update. I will be quite annoyed if it shows on my credit just because they dodn't want me as a customer because I held their card previously.

  • I'm wondering if I can use PayAll to my own bank account to meet the $7500 spend immediately?

Edit: I also have a Citi Premier card but will check if I can get this new Prestige with bonus points.

    • +1

      Yes you can use payall.
You can still get the points even if you have another card, but getting the card may be difficult.

  • +1

Surely a premium card, with lounge passes, hotel benefits etc, its a bit tight of them to have a 3.4% international transaction fee and an assessment % fee too…

  • Is it possible to convert the 300,000 Citi Rewards Points into cashback on the credit card? I shop at my local IGA so don't really need the $1500 Coles/Woolies vouchers. Suggestions?

    • Cashback is apart of their rewards system but doesn't give anywhere near the yield that gift cards give. You can redeem them for other brands like Apple, JB, Good Guys, Dans etc.

  • Can you convert the citi points from a prestige card to Asia miles?

  • Applied yesterday and got approved today after submitting the recent payslip.

    • Did they email or call you to submit?
I went to the application status and has no way to add more documents

      • +1

You will get a confirmation email first with the link to check the status. From that link you can upload additional docos. They also called me this morning to provide bank statement for name check. After that my app went into additional check and by 7pm AEDT I got an email confirming that the card is approved

        • Thanks mate

When I go to the check status link, this is all what I can see: https://ibb.co/JzYxYbs

There's no option to upload documents either

When I call Citi number they couldnt even find my application

          • +1

@littlesoldier: Then wait for them to call back and provide them any additional docos while on the call itself. That way they will be able to process the app faster (hopefully).

            • +1

              @prisonmike: I called the Citibank verification hotline 2 days ago (1800 807 138)
and the lady on the line has confirmed a few income verifications

Today late afternoon received application success SMS and email

  • Is expiry date actually 2023?

  • +1

Has any got their card delivered yet? How long did it take once your were approved?

    • +1

Usually just about 5-7 business days. If you have Citibank app (only if existing customer), you can add the digital card to Wallet.

      • My card has been added to my existing Citi app but the card is marked inactive. So it's no use until the physical card arrives.

        • Is it an Android phone? It didn't work for me on Android phone until I use the app on iphone

          • @timhn: So what "Wallet" are you referring to - Apple? Or you can add to Google Wallet on iOS devices?

TBH I'm only going to use this for PayAll so I need to wait anyway.

            • @gadgetguy: Added to Apple's wallet on iPhone via Citibank app installed on iPhone.

Added to G-wallet on Android phone via the Google Wallet app with the physical card.

          • @timhn: I’m on iPhone and an existing Citi customer. The only option available is to activate the physical card.
When I try to add it to my Apple wallet it says that it’s failed. Is there a seperate section to activate the digital card?

            • @ozbargain2019: I believe it was under the card's Manage button.

              • @timhn: Strange, nothing there for me. Under the manage card button it says ‘Card Disabled’ with nothing to click on and then goes straight down to track your card.
Will just have to wait the 5-7 days

  • Am i eligible for points with this card if I have just closed my Suncorp Clear Plat, which is provided and issued by Citigroup? And I also closed a citi issued Qantas Premier Plat card 10 months ago?

  • Approved late Wed, card in hand the following Mon morning. Excellent!

  • Anyone knows when the points are credited? I've met my spend.

  • from T&Cs: All Citi PayAll payments and Citi PayAll Fees we charge to your account will be added to the retail purchase balance and the Retail APR will apply to them.
Can anyone confirm if the current payall fee of 2% having been waived, the retail APR will apply even if it is paid in full by the bill due date?

  • Anyone knows if I got both Premier and Prestige
After getting the 300k rewards point and cancelled the Prestige card
Will the points still remains in the reward balance?

    • Answer my own question
seems the reward account is separated from each card

So meaning that before cancelling the Prestige card be sure to convert all points to others (eg. flybuys, velocity, asia miles etc.)

  • Thanks OP!

Applied, submitted payslip and approved within 1 hour.

Got a trip coming up, so that 4th night free benefit is easily going to cover the annual fee. As well as the converted Citi points to Velocity covering the cost of the flights.

  • +4

Okay, I just got my card and it comes with a "Variation Notice" confirming no fee on PayAll until after October 31 2023.

  • +3

Just noticed, there's some more unlisted benefits to this card:

    • Theft/damage insurance for mobile phones after you start paying your bill with the card.
    • $100 credit towards a "Luxury Transfer" to or from specific cities e.g. airport transfer.
  • Challenge accepted, wife has already pre spent the cash lol.

  • Still waiting for the card to arrive. It’s taking awful lot of time for delivery.

    • I applied for the 60k Velocity points Citi Rewards deal and it took just over 2 weeks to have the card delivered to metro Brisbane. Was approved 27 Sep only got the card on 13 Oct.

  • +2

    Applied Oct 9, 2022, still nothing :(

    • +1

Approved today, took a while, but got there in the end with no push from my side.

  • +1

Wow, so this priority pass inclusion is even better than what PP themselves sell?

This offer seems to include one member and one guest.

But even their most expensive tier mentions you need to pay $32 USD per guest: https://www.prioritypass.com/en/join-prioritypass

    So that is quite cool.

Also, what is included in unlimited access? Can you go to several lounges right after each other? I would assume not?

    • +3

Yep, can go to unlimited lounges and restaurants/cafes one after another. You might have to wait up to 24 hours to reenter the same one but this depends on each lounge/restaurant for the exact timing.

      • Do they check your boarding pass if you go to the restaurant/cafe and try to use the PP for paying for food? If they don't check then I assume you can just eat everyday in the airport.

        • +2

They've checked the past few times for me and entered the flight number into the terminal.

      • 2 of the places in Sydney Airport appear to be bars. So… go to one and redeem $36 of products, go to second and redeem $36, then go to a lounge.

I once redeemed a PP at a burger place in there. I guess the restaurant is defunct or not accepting PP any more.

        • Ah, as the other person in this thread said, with a guest it would be $72 + $72 + 2 x lounge entry….

          • @watwatwat: Just curious, what do you normally order to redeem the $72 x 2, then going to the lounge?
Given that lounge already provide food and beverage seems my stomach can't feed so much LOL

            • +1

@littlesoldier: If they have cocktails, that will use it up pretty quick.

        • Can you go to multiple in one day? I was thinking the same but thought it would be one per flight? Cause yeah I could drink at bar and then go to the lounge or do I have to pick one?

      • +2

Thats unreal. Could I just chat up a random person and buy them food as well? Then hop to the next place?

        • +3

          I guess you could!

    • +1

This benefit alone is worth hundreds. And when you pay for membership with PP, you still have to pay per visit, unlike the Citi benefit.

  • -1

Can this be used to load money on revolut to hit the $7.5k goal?

  • Applied 5/10 and uploaded payslips during the application process.
Called 1800 807 138 on 13/10 and was advised I would be contacted in the within 48 hours.
Received a letter 14/10 advising my application was approved but they could not verify my ID. Went to the post office to verify my ID in the afternoon and just got a email/text advising full application has been approved.

  • Must be unlucky, sole trader first cc application, been >1 week and no approval.

    • +2

try call them up. I rang them up and was told payslip missing and they also offered extra 5000 points if I provide the document within 24 hours (not sure how this triggered their offer, I did see 3 reminders throughout the week after the application about missing documents though)

      • Thanks I appreciate it, I'll get to it tomorrow as verifications don't work weekends.

      • +1

Bugger they got back to me needing my tax returns for past 2 years. Still haven't done the latest one.

  • I got rejected last May by Citibank - what's the usual wait time when I can reapply? Is it 3 or 6 months?

    • If you got rejected last time, what makes you think that they will approve it this time? If nothing has changed eg pay rise or expenses decreased, why take the risk?

      • I had 3 active creditcards then - now I only have 1.

        • +1

Try it. You should be fine.

I got rejected in April and they said i can reapply in 3 months.

Citibank is now under NAB but went to apply for NAB CC a month later and got it without issue!

I closed that NAB CC in Aug and went back to Citi bank apply a Rewards and got it.

    • Citi told me the blockout period since rejection is 3 months.
Application process is a total mess though, I was told to ask for reassessment after instant rejection(due to above mentioned blockout) then got a rejection email followed by an approval sms and email.
Now waiting for the card to join the PayAll game..

  • I was on a chat with Citibank to confirm if BPay and PayAll can be used to fulfill $7500 spending…
Apparently he confirmed both are not counted toward spending criteria

    https://imgur.com/a/GAivfoa

    Did anyone else confirm otherwise?

      • Yes I read that post, that's why I want to reconfirm with Citi, however I got conflicting information

        • +1

Well I went ahead on the basis of this information and if they don't honour it I'll be taking it up with the AFCA.

        • i think payall is excluded. i've spent more than 7.5k including payall but less than 7.5k if excluding payall. no bonus 300k points in first statement

          • @thekensai: Did you contact them to ask if you've met the threshold?

          • @thekensai: That's what I thought…
But maybe confirm with Citibank customer service to see if PayAll is eligible.
I really doubt it is eligible, as it's way too easy to score bonus points.

            • +2

@OzBestDeal: I already posted an image of a chat with Citi confirming PayAll DOES count.

              Here it is again:

            • +3

@OzBestDeal: i spoke too soon. 300k points just landed. everyone check your rewards page

              • @thekensai: Nice…. Well done mate!!!

              • @thekensai: @thekensai just to confirm that the 300k bonus points doesn't show in the first statement but we need to login the rewards page to see them? I haven't seen anything yet but haven't received my first statement either.

                • @mamalove: yes. just check the rewards page in your app after first statement

        • clause 1 makes no mention of payall. To be eligible to receive 300,000 bonus Citi reward Points, you must apply for the Citi Prestige Card by 31 January 2023, then spend a minimum of $7,500 on eligible purchases using your new card within 60 days from approval.

          • @asc:

            on eligible purchases

Any clause detailing what "eligible purchases" are?

            • +1

@OzBestDeal: Eligible purchases exclude Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, interest, fees, refunds, Chargebacks and spend on a Linked Diners Club Card. The bonus Citi reward Points will be credited to your Rewards Balance within 6 - 8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria. Your Citi Prestige Card must remain open, in good standing and enrolled in the Citi Rewards program for the bonus Citi reward Points to be awarded. All rewards are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Citi Rewards Program. Please note that if you have a balance transfer you will not be entitled to any interest free days on retail purchases. This means that all spend will be charged interest at the applicable annual percentage rate. This offer is valid until 31 January 2023. Post this advertised date; we reserve the right to continue, withdraw or change the offer at any time without notice.

        • +1

I just tried online chat with Citibank and the agent confirmed that Citi Payall is included in the min spend requirement.

    • But does BPay be treated as cash advance?
I know PayAll doesnt but not sure about BPay

      • +1

In the past I've been paying bpay bills with citibank card, and it treated as normal transactions (earning points too)

        • Thanks mate
Will try it next time :)

  • Can anyone advise if the Prioritypass remains for one year even if I close the card? I like the PP membership but don’t want to keep 20,000 limit for that long.

    • You may have to show the card to get the lounge access. I've had to do this with Amex, Diner's etc BUT because you get a dedicated PP membership, I'm not sure.

      • +1

Thanks. Yes I think this time since it is a full PP membership it could be different. On my PP account it just show a card calid from 17/10/2022 to 16/10/2023, I can even choose to link a different card in the billing section instead of the Prestige so I guess it would be there even if I cancel the Prestige.

        Very good value I think,

        • Back in old days (pre covid) I once got rejected to enter Plaza Premium lounge using PP
The lounge cannot process my PP card (date printed on card not expired) and ask me to contact the bank
and thats the time when Citi change from "Signature Visa" to "Premier Mastercard"
So it gives me a feeling that the bank will inform PP to terminate the membership whenever the card is cancelled

[Note: Plaza Premium is no longer partnered with PP since 2021]

    • +1

someone on aff reported they lost the PP membership after closing the card

  • NVM - Idiot that missed a big detail :p

So, if we use PayAll for 12 months, transferring $20k per month = 240k Citio points = 125k Velcoity + 157.5k signup = 282k Velocity points for $350 annual fee?

    • Not exactly if your credit limit is 20k
as you need to spend 20k for the first month (to meet the 7.5)
so sign up bonus is 150k (velocity) instead of 157.5k

      • +1

I don’t think I explained it well. Ignoring the signup bonus, if I keep the card for 12 months. Use the max allowed PayAll per month ($20k).

They pay 1 point per dollar on payall. That’s 20k points per month for 12 months = 240k points using payall.

        That converts to 120k velocity.
Plus the 150k you get signing up.

270k velocity points for $350. No other outlay or costs if you abuse it haha

  • Signed up, received card. Went to active online but it wouldn't accept the combination of card details + DOB, nor could I add it as an additional card to my existing Citi account.

Called Citi, they activated it on my behalf. Requested to have it added to my existing account and that's where things took a turn.. As it turns out, my name on the new card doesn't match my existing, nor does my DOB. I've been told I need to send Citi a notification, via mail, that I wish to arrange a 'name change' for the mismatched account - this process requires verified copies of ID and passport, and takes 5-10 working days to action following their receipt and a further call from me to action the account merge.

    • As an existing Citi Premier card holder
I just went to the Citibank app to activate the new card
no need to enter DOB, just the CVC

  • Does Citibank work with Google pay? Seems like they've only got Apple/Samsung pay?

    • +3

      It does since late September.

      • Got it working for some reason address was set to UK so it kept failing

  • Does anyone know if it is worth getting the Diner with it? I signed up for it for the lounge benefit but given PP I am not too sure

    • +2

Companion diners club card does not include lounge access

      https://www.citibank.com.au/cards/dinersclub/FAQs/index.htm

Will the Linked Diners Club Card also come with the benefits of a standalone Diners Club Card (e.g. Diners Club lounge access, etc.)?
No, The Linked Diners Club Card does not have any Diners Club benefits such as lounge access. Card benefits will remain the same as what is available on your Citi Credit Card.

However I still keep the Diners Club card and great to use for online purchase or travel (eg. to USA or Japan)
as it has no international transaction fee and also earn points on spending (together with other benefits like purchase protection etc.)

      • thanks mate, good to know

      • pls double check this information, i was told over the phone by their consultants that it DOES have lounge access,

        • What I have quoted is from the FAQ of Citi website, best is to have a live chat and screenshot the response, then try to access and ask for a refund if they charge your card

Besides, you PP lounge network should already cover most / all lounges that diners can access

  • Payall doesn't seem to allow me to transfer to my bank account. I thought that was possible given the comments here, or am I missing something ?

    • According to T&Cs its not suppose to "pay to yourself"
Just pay to your partner, friends or family member…

    • how did they tell you're transferring to yourself's account? did u put your own name when setting up?

  • applied 1 week ago and still waiting. surprised taking so long! usually so much faster

    • +3

Just call the Citibank verification hotline (1800 807 138) (Monday to Friday, office hours)
I called and have to confirm a few incomes, then get approval message within 48 hours

      • Thanks for this, I called them thru this number to follow up and got approved after 10 mins.

  • The 4th night free seems annoying that you need to call up to book it? Looking online, seems other countries you can do it online.

Any comments on availability/pricing when going through citi concierge? Is it just hiked up and not worth it, or do they have reasonable pricing.

    • +2

According to PointHacks its roughly 20% saving comparing to booking via Hotels.com
      https://www.pointhacks.com.au/citi-prestige-fourth-night-fre…

    • +3

I just booked accom using this benefit, and yeah, it was a bit annoying having to call up. Not sure if its just for the first time to setup your account, as they require your CC details. (I'm guessing their systems don't talk to each other).

It was actually a quite a pain booking over the phone. Had to wait on hold for few minutes, then I could barely understand what the operator was saying.
I had all the info ready to go - I gave the operator the hotel name, and dates, and even thought there was only 1 room type for this accom, she kept asking me random questions (what country did you want to go to, what state state is that in, smoking, or non smoking?, did you want breakfast, bed configuration).

Then she wanted the first 6 digits of my credit card, then later on in the conversation, the last 4 digits. Then later on, the full number. It was all very odd.

What should have taken 10 mins max, took 45 mins.

      Was hardly "Prestige" service.

      But I saved $900.
They use Expedia for the availability and price, and the 4th night free excludes taxes. Also, you have to pay upfront in full, then they refund you the 4th night 4 - 6 weeks after your stay.

      • +1

Good to know! Thanks for the update. Seems quite a poor implementation - but worth it considering the savings. Knowing that they use expedia for availability and pricing is good - at least you can narrow it down yourself before having to call up, only to get given totally different prices etc.

      • Do they have a list of approved hotels?

        • +2

I was advised anything on Expedia could be booked.

      • +2

Which hotel was >$900 a night?

        • Beach Club - Hamilton Is.

      • +1

        According to https://www.citibank.com.au/global_docs/pdf/Citi_Prestige_Cr…

"For Citi Prestige Mastercard cardholders: You will be charged 4 nights and receive a credit for the 4th
night. Please note that you will only receive the credit within 6-8 weeks from completion of full
        payment and stay."

Do they mean credit as cash?

        • Question which i'm guessing nobody will be able to answer, but asking anyway.

If I cancel my card AFTER my stay, but before the 6-8 weeks, i'm guessing they will not refund me?

          • @The Hobo: @the Hobo - i'd think that you would still be eligible for the refund as you held the card when you completed your stay. Probably not worth the risk.
Just keep the card open and take advantage of racking up points using All Pay.

            • @T1: Planning on doing a trip next year around Sept/Oct. Would need to pay a $700 annual fee to keep the card, and i'm assuming they won't pro-rata refund if I kept it till I get the refund!

              Conundrums Conundrums!

        • @noongerz A credit back onto the card. Which you could then transfer out to another account.

      • Just rang the citi conciege number, the guy checked with their department managing this and told me they don't provide the conciege service for booking accom anymore due to their recent change of their consum business. What?!. and he mentioned that as long as I book the hotel myself and meet the conditions in the T&C,the 4th night will be credited automatically in 6-8 weeks. Not sure how you can still book the accom thru them.

        • +1

That doesn't sound right. How can they tell if the booking is eligible to be credited for the free night if you book it yourself? I'd call back and speak to someone else…

  • +2

For those who've received this card, how long was the wait between applying and getting the card? I've got an expense coming up and not sure if the card will arrive in time.

    • +1

After getting approved? I think I waited 4 days for the card to arrive.

      • Thanks.

Been a bit of a process. They emailed asking for more documentation but provided no means of giving it to them. Took two phone calls to resolve.

        • +1

Their systems are appalling. I had a similar experience, can't believe how hard it was to apply.

    • 3 business days

  • Anyone knows how long Rewards Points are valid in the account after cancelling the card? I basically want to wait until there's a Velocity transfer bonus; gonna miss the current round unfortunately.

    • +1

They are lost when you close. Here's an extract from my closure notice letter, after I closed a Rewards card:

As disclosed at the time of your account closure request, any reward Points that were not redeemed have now been forfeited.

I had zero points on this card, so not an issue for me.

      • Thanks. Can confirm after calling them.

I called to also ask if the rewards points can be transferred/maintained if i opened another citi rewards points card of a different tier (e.g. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725401), and they said yes it would.

That'll probably be strategy to wait out bonus velocity as this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725401 is fee free for the first year and isn't excluded from holding the Prestige as far as the T/Cs go.

        • +1

Just another point, they remove access to the closed card immediately too both in the app and online, so you can't see any remaining balance, statements etc. Bit annoying.

  • +1

does anyone know if you can set these up as 'business' credit cards - having the liability go to the business, not the individual? ANZ do a Black for Business, I'd like the citi prestige equivalent of that setup!

Update: citi only offer corporate cards to customers with existing private banking arrangements, so not suitable for small business :/ ANZ Black for Business it is :/

…that PayAll feature was going to be amazing, oh well…

  • looks like they removed the annual fee rebate option of 200 points for $1 in rewards. now there are only two fixed option at the rate of 400 points for $1

  • Applied on Monday night, as of Thursday morning still "Pending for Assessment". Is this the norm?

    • +3

call them on hotline and ask if anything is pending. Mine got done 30 min later

      • +1

Thanks, called them on 1300 130 865 and they said it is still under review. They gave me the 17 digit application ID no. which you can lookup at the bottom of the website and it splits out Code 72 which means nothing unless I call them. I'll call again tomorrow.

        • +3

try calling the Citibank verification hotline (1800 807 138) (Monday to Friday, office hours).

I applied Tuesday and just called now to ask if there's anythign else I need to do. The agent just verified my income and employment status and got approved 10 mins after the call

          • @BuyNowThinkLater: Got the same answer as timhn below but they also said I should expect an answer tomorrow.

          • @BuyNowThinkLater: Thanks for this, will try on Monday.

I called the 1300 number instead of 1800. Epic facepalm.

      • +1

Crazy how different it is for people. My application has taken two weeks and four phone calls to try to resolve. Today I finally uploaded my documents for the third time and was told that they'll do it now and have an outcome today or tomorrow. It's been a pretty abysmal process.

        • +1

I was approved within an hour after calling 1800 807 138 for the first time.

        • +1

Its been a week for me and 4 calls. I've never been a NAB or Citi customer before. Can that be the reason?

  • +1

    Decent deal.

    Instantly approved also.

Applied this morning, got a call 20 mins later to confirm some income details.

    Approved 10mins later.

Pretty happy with the speed and overall experience.

    • -1

WTF. I applied last night and still heard nothing.

Edit: Called the hotline and the agent said the application is with the Decision Team. Hrm, i guess they found i had too many applications with Citi/NAB.

      • +1

Used Citi Premier, NAB Qantas and NAB Rewards, as well as BOQ Platinum (issued by NAB) within 12 months. They didn't seem to create any issues in getting this approved

        • +1

It took me 3 weeks or more. I called initially and then when I called again it was instantly approved.

  • +1

Yay, finally got an SMS said my application has been approved. This time they took longer than normal to approve my application. I guess the decision team were debated whether to approve for a guy just cancelled his other Rewards card and immediately apply for a higher tier card.

  • +1

Anyone managed to add the card to Apple wallet without the physical card? I was able to do this previously with the lowly Rewards card - added to wallet on the same day when i got the approval email.

With this card, I'm getting the error "contact your bank". Not sure due to a high credit amount that Citibank blocked it from activate digitally.

    • +1

You cannot until you active the card.

  • Has anyone received the bonus points? If so, did you get it right after you hit the minimum spend or with your first statement?

  • Still not received the card, got approved 2 weeks ago. Anybody in same boat? worried the post put in wrong mail box now. I hope the minimum spend is after activation date.

    • +1

60 days after approval date - 2nd line in the description.

Perhaps call them to reissue the card.

      • Thanks!

    • It took 3 weeks for my Citi Rewards card (different deal) to be delivered to metro Brisbane. I was approved 27 Sept and it arrived mid October.

      • Did you get additional time for the offer? Or are they holding you to the approval date clause?

        • I only had a 3k minimum spend and I did it in a week anyway so it didn't matter for me anyway.

    • Did you follow up with them? It's been over a week for me and I've yet to receive mine.

      • Got it 2 days ago. Apparently for me they missed my unit number on the address but sent again via express post post after calling.

  • Anyone know if Citi Prestige is part of Citi Mortgage plus program where you get the annual card fee waived?

  • confirming Diners club Does NOT have lounge access on this card (i erroneously was told it did on a previous call to them)

    • Were you able to confirm at a lounge? Seems like CS reps are giving out a lot of incorrect info.

  • +1

Applied this morning, got a call this arvo asking why I decided to cancel a recent Citibank rewards card a few months ago…went from that to the ANZ black card, now onto this.
Basically said I was just looking for a card with better features/rewards, approval email came 10mins after the conversation!
My main banking is with NAB if that makes any difference.

  • +1

With the Diner's companion card, is the exchange rate they use for foreign currency transactions published anywhere?

  • +2

Has anyone applied for this and also applied for the Citibank Personal Loan and got approved?

    • +3

Decided to bite the bullet despite having applied for the personal loan about 5 weeks earlier. Got approved in less than 10 minutes after applying.

      • I did similar about 6 weeks between the 2 applications.
Just looking at the other citi deals and none of them seem to have exclusion periods. Thinking to go for another Citi card…How many have you got?

  • +1

Wow. Just received card in the mail. Impressive for Citibank (and AusPost for ontime delivery) as they approved me on last Friday afternoon.

  • Geeze that 3.4% international transaction fee makes the card a lot less appealing.

    • I think you can only find less fee or 0% on low end credit or debit card.

      • +1

The companion Diner's card has no international transaction fees but there's a question about the exchange rate used. See my post just above.

  • +1

Has anyone applied for this within 2 months of applying for the Citi personal loan with the 150k velocity points offer?
I really want one of these but debating wether tk wait the usual 3 months or not.

    • +2

      Check above

    • I tried and was rejected from the personal loan

  • +3

Has anyone book their Transfer Servive? $100 to use each calendar year is nice for a trip into city or airport.

    • Be interested in this as I can't seem to get the Citi Concierge number from anyone. The number on the terms and conditions takes me to a standard menu then when I get an operator they give me a number that doesn't work

      • +2

        Tried 1800 782 948 ?

        • -1

How long is the wait time for Citi Concierge? Previous poster has said it took them 45 minutes to book a hotel he could had done it for 10 minutes himself.

          • @xdigger: I have also been unable to get through now, even on the number above - it just goes to Nab. What number are people using?

          • @xdigger: Was an instant response in my case.

    • +1

Is it calendar year or anniversary year?

    • +1

They won't confirm if it's available next year which sucks.

  • Did anyone manage to get the points after the 7.5k spent?

  • +1

unlike reward which lets you to add card to apple wallet, this won't let you until you receive the physical card. Also, don't immediately put 20k on payall as soon as you get it as citi's fraud team may think it being fraudulent and block your account. This happened to me on my reward so i had to call them to unblock. put on some ordinary purchases like groceries or utils then put payall.

  • +1

Call me greedy but I wouldn't mind it if our Prestige cards had a similar offer to this one that was just posted:

Citibank Premier Qantas - Earn up to 40,000 bonus Qantas Points When You Add an Additional Cardholder and They Spend

  • Hi fellow Ozbargainers, I just got this card and was originally intending to churn the 300,000 Rewards Points and then close to get a pro-rata fee refund of the $350, but am wondering whether its worthwhile keeping the card for a year if I can Payall $20k monthly? Is the $350 annual fee worth the Rewards Points I can get from Payall-ing $20k monthly? Might do a few flights to make use of Priority Pass lounges and that's about it. Thanks.

    • +2

i am not sure if the annual fee can be pro-rata refunded, never heard citi do it. If they don't then keep it as close to 12 months and yes do 20k payall per month to maximize points. I think cashback and pay-with-points has worst $/point value so either convert to airpoints or get gift cards.

      • Thanks mate, was going the Colesworth gift card route as I use Qantas.

      • +3

You have to ask them for the refund. I closed the card then go to webchat and asked. Got a refund ~$130 when closed my Premier card after used it nearly 5 months.

  • good idea to transfer to flybys?

    • +1

once you activate the card, it should open up rewards page. from there you can check conversion rate. so check it there.

  • +2

Was going to churn and burn this one but got targeted for an opt in offer for- 5% cashback (up to $100) on eligible retail shopping when you spend $500 or more with your Citi Credit Card between 25 Nov and 2 Dec 2022. Opt in by 22 Nov 2022.

    Anyone else?

  • +11

Got my 300k points today, same day as my first statement. Can confirm I fulfilled the spend requirement via Payall.

    • +1

Now I will have to wait for my statement

      • +1

It was exactly a month from my approval email.

        • +1

Got the points today on the day of the generation of the first statement

    • Got the same today… received 300k bonus on my first statement after payall

    • I spent money via payall and also bought 2-3k worth of gift cards from Coles still didn’t receive bonus points in my statement:(

      • They weren't in the statement - they were in the app and online at the time the statement was produced.

        • Yes, received them a few hours after the statement was released.

  • -1

Does anyone know if purchases via PayPal would count?

  • Has anyone signup for the Priority Pass yet? I remember with Premier card, you must signup via a special URL. Cant seem to find anything similarly for this card.

    • +2

Yep, i found the link and code in my app. If you click on the card, within the app, it should give you the details.

      • +1

        Ah cool. Thanks.

    • I had to obtain the signup details via customer service.

      For anyone else wondering:
      https://prioritypass.com/prestigeaumc
      CTPRSG333

  • I'm surprised how now one have mentioned how vague the success email/SMS are.

SMS: Dear XYZ, Congratulations! Your Citi Prestige Card application has been approved. Please refer to the email we have sent for details. Thanks for choosing Citi.

    EMAIL:
    You're on your way.

    Dear XYZ,

Congratulations, your Citi Prestige Card application has been approved!

To find out what happens next, and get to know the great features included with your Citi Prestige Card.

Please read the Terms and Conditions and other important information for your credit card under the 'View the terms and conditions' section.

T&C's: nothing relevant about what happens next.

So all they tell you is you are approved. They don't tell you the card is being sent, how long it will take, credit limit, or any other actual next steps… Was that just me?

    • +1

Are you sure that was all in the email?

My email from them started as above then a Financial Table that including all the relevant details for the account - credit limit, annual rate, interest free period etc.

      • You're right about that table and credit limit, I wasn't actually too concerned about that as I wanted the minimum. But nothing in that table was particularly useful to me in comparison to them actually telling me if they are sending me a card. Or what details need to use in the app (linked at the very bottom of the email - missed that originally too) to check my transactions once I have it. Or how I could add it to google pay or apple pay and start using it now before it arrives. Etc.

  • Trying to understand PayAll as I'm new to Citi. I have setup a PayAll payment of $40 to re-imburse a friend for dinner and it says I will receive 40 points. Isn't this too easy? What's stopping me paying him $1000 and he paying back the $1000 and both of us getting 1000 points?

Are people able to pay Council and water rates using PayAll? These invoices don't have bank account details on them. Is there a trick?

    • You dont need to pay council fee via payall
You can use credit card to pay BPay via Citi app

      • You don't earn points using BPay but you don't get charged the merchant fee. Used to have the Latitude Infinity card that gave points on BPay payments, those were the days!

        • +2

Use Beem It to Bpay to get points because it appears as normal transaction in credit card.

    • Nothing. Max out your payall for free points.

  • applied last Thursday still no responses until now.

    • called citi this morning and got approval within 5mins

  • Hey peeps who've used this for ATO payments via Payall.

Question: I've schedule a Payall payment a day earlier than the ATO due date. Just wondering if this one day lead time is enough to process and hit the ATO to have an "Effective date" before or on the ATO due date? Can't make it any earlier due to the 7-day advance setup time for Payall unfortunately.

Any experiences about how long Payall payments need to get fully processed? Thanks!

    • +1

I am unsure as I have only scheduled my first.

If your payment to the ATO is a day or two late you shoudoky receive a penalty or interest payment due. If so, it would be cancelled as it would be so minimal. From my experience from many years ago..

      • Basically set up an installment payment plan, and it would only allow me a 8 day lead from ATO. Citi requires a minimum of 7 day payment lead for Payall.

Called Citi and they sounded pretty clueless about the processing time on their end -_-

Just gonna wing it, unless someone has some input about it taking longer. Thanks again.

  • Quick question, if you sign up before end of 2022, can you use the benefits twice if you cancel before anniversary date as the reset date is on NYE?

    • If the T&Cs said "calendar year" instead anniversary year, then probably yes.

  • What is the best use of the 300k points? Gift cards or transfer to flybuys or other airline? 300k rewards point can be around 150k velocity points. Is this redemption any good?

    • +3

150k velocity for $350 is very good value imo. Covers a return business class ticket to Japan on Singapore Airlines (edit: from Perth) excluding taxes and carrier charges. Better yet keep the points in your Citi account and wait till there's a transfer bonus - should be in May I think and get 15-25% more

  • +2

Has anyone negotiated the $700 annual fee down in the past?

I wouldn't mind keeping the card if the fee was in the $350 range but $700 is quite high.

    • +1

Interested too. I think there were rules introduced that stop them from offering incentives if you threaten to leave but there's no harm in trying to get a reduction on chat.

I was fully intending to cancel before renewal but there's way more than $700 value to be had, so if I can't get a reduction I'll probably pay it.

      • What are your key benefits? Priority pass and insurance?
I ended up with this card and anz black and want to see what is best to keep.

        • +1

Priority pass and the 4th night free - seems pretty unique to this card. PayAll is great too - however will be at a cost it seems from Oct 23 onwards.

4th night free alone can make up the $700 over a year if used in full

          • @The Hobo: Thanks all!

          • +3

            @The Hobo:

Priority pass and the 4th night free - seems pretty unique to this card. PayAll is great too - however will be at a cost it seems from Oct 23 onwards

Yes but any ongoing Payall agreements you set up before that date will continue to be free.

            • @gadgetguy: You can only setup max of 2 years so it’s not unlimited period

              • @littlesoldier: Not quite.

You can set up 2 year periods with start dates in the future. I have some set up to the next decade.

                • @gadgetguy: Ah thanks didn’t know you can set up future start date with 2 years end date from that start date

                • @gadgetguy: Next decade :D!
Does it work out to justify the $700 annual fee?

                  Quick maths:
                  Earn
                  20k pts by Payall x 12 months= 240000 pts ~ $1000 gift card
                  Spend
                  $700

                  Hence $300 lazy profit?

                  • @assarabbiya: How sure are people that 20k payall after Oct 2023 will not attract any fees? I guess worst case is to just cancel card if any fee but timing could mean we pay an additional $700 in AF?

  • Can someone please tell me how do I contact Citi via online chat? Seems like no such function in the app and their website was pretty average - log me out everytime when click on Online Chat.

Just wanted to get their concierge number and got stuck at step one..

    Cheers.

    • I don't believe there is a mythical Concierge number any more, believe me i tried hard to find one.

I think you now have to through the call centre and get transferred by them.

      • +2

I called them twice, was given two numbers, none of them exists: 1800799299 / +61285203753. Both agents on chat and the phone tried hard, but no luck.
Ended up with a promise from a "chat lady" to call me back when they find correct info. And the "phone guy" just hung up on me after a while. Brilliant Concierge service…

    • I keep getting logged out too.

  • Can I buy gift cards to cover 7.5k?

  • Luxury Transfer Service - anyone knows who the provider is?

    • +1

Booked one to Melbourne Airport. The confirmation is from Hughes.

    • +2

Just a note on this, you get one booking per calendar year. I booked for early January 2023 and was told that used up my booking for the calendar year of 2022, ie they count it as the date you booked it, not the travel date. She said they didn't have confirmation yet whether this offer would be renewed next year or not.

      • Thanks for this. How long you can booking your travel in advance?

    • I got a quote from Citi Prestige Concierge, airport transfer to Sydney Airport
      Mercedes people mover $90
      Levy and Christmas surcharge $44.50
      Total $134.50

      Any comments?

      • Wow, $44.5 surcharge. Is that on 25th Dec? I'm thinking book one on 26th. Probably surcharge as well.

      • Yes - which day is that for? I want to book for Dec 24!

        • 25th dec

      • I'm waiting for a quote but she said there would be an early morning (before 5am) surcharge.

  • +4

I took up the 4th night free offer for a holiday next March, and was advised when booking that the free night would be reimbursed 6-8 weeks after the completed stay, but I just got an email during the week advising the credit was being processed and I have now received it back onto the card.

Not sure why there was a change in policy, but it was a nice surprise.

    • How did you book it?? T&C's says it must be done via concierge but maybe it's not the case anymore

      • +7

I booked it about 3 weeks ago, before the concierge team went MIA. The number i used was +61 2 7907 0814

        • +2

This number is still working. Yay!

        • +1

What websites does Citi Concierge use for the hotel prices? I got IHG Diamond elite status and am wanting to use my IHG membership for cheaper price/free room upgrades. Do we just give them our IHG membership over the phone? Happy to book it myself but heard it must be done via Concierge .

    • That’s awesome. Just checking that you have the Mastercard and not Visa? I read the t&c that Visa is immediate credit whereas MC had the 6-8 week wait.

    • -1

I got this email too and wondering if they would claw it back if I need to cancel my booking due to a change of plans.

  • +2

I paid $35,000 using payall and used another $3,000.
I haven't received my first statement yet, but I checked with Citi and got the below response.

We confirm that you have met the spend criteria on 27 October 2022.

The 300,000 bonus Citi reward points will be credited to your rewards
balance within 6-8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria.

Your Citi Prestige card must remain open, in good standing and enroled
in the Citi Rewards program for the bonus Citi reward points to be
    awarded.

    • How did you check with them - via the chat?

How long after meeting the spend did you contact them to confirm?

      • In the citi account online, there is a menu called Messages. I sent a message through the menu, and got a reply just a day later.

I contacted them a week after the spend criteria was met.

I received the 300K bonus point when my first statement was generated.

  • +3

    Approved in late September
Spent $7500 in Oct via Payall
Confirmed I receive 307500 reward points today (upon 1st month statement received)

    • What is payall?

      • +1

        https://www1.citibank.com.au/offers-benefits/PayAll1

In short, a way you can use your Citi credit card to pay someone’s bsb/account number without cash advance fee, and also earn rewards point per dollar spend

        • Can’t this be exploited? Ie pay $7.5 k to wife’s savings account via bsb and account number. Then transfer the funds to personal savings account and pay off the credit card and earn the points? Seems a bit trivial. Surely, there’s some sort of limitation or clause to prevent this.

          • +1

@A female dog: From the terms you cannot use to pay yourself, but there’s no way for Citi to identify whether the money is paying to your family member.

Besides, payall does charge a fee, only that they have currently extended the fee free period until Oct 2023 (but you can setup any future payment and those ones are fee free too)

            • @littlesoldier: Good to know. We just moved into our apartment and needed to purchase some furniture but it’ll only cost us about $3 k. I was struggling to come up with ways to meet the $7.5k requirement. I reckon we could use the payall feature to pay the remainder $4.5k to another bank account to meet min spend requirement. Has anyone else tried this method or transferred money to their spouse / partner?

              • +1

@A female dog: Just read the thread and the linked thread. Covered many times.

  • Still get bonus if recently closed NAB CC?

    • +1

Yes, I closed a NAB card on 30/09/2022 and still received bonus points on this card.

    • NAB CC has nothing to do with Citibank CC - and vice versa, even Citibank is now under Nab umbrella.

  • It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve applied and it’s stuck on ‘pending for assessment’. I was told that it’s some backend error without an ETA. Did anyone else have this problem too and how long it took for it to get sorted?

    • Took me about four phone calls to get it resolved, about three weeks of mucking around. Eventually got the card. Next time ask for the direct line to the credit card team, saves a lot of time.

      • Is that the same as the verification team on 1800 807 138?

  • I use BPay to pay my rent, can we use citi card in a way that makes those payment eligible for the 7500 spend? What are the most popular ways (excluding gift cards) of reaching 7500 aud if you dont typically spend that much on credit cards?

    • +1

      Just use Allpay.

      • Thank you! Are there any fees for AllPay?

        • No fees until October 2023

      • +1

        Ha ha, PayAll

        • Has anyone tried using beemit to pay yourself or mates? I guess that would be the easiest way to earn points without spending isnt it?

  • I have cancelled a few other cards that I had before I applied for this one. How long does it usually take to show as "closed" for the old cards? It's been a week and I just requested a credit report and it still showing open. Don't want to apply with them still on my credit report as they have a combined 30k limit which may impact my acceptance.

Amex was closed on Monday and Bank SA last week.

  • My application got approved the next day after uploading a payslip. Now I don't know what to spend $7.5k on :/ Just realised I cannot use PayAll to pay my landlord cause it's a private person account. Thinking about getting some of amazon/ebay/woolies gift cards…

    • +3

who told you that you can't? as soon as it is "a bank account of the payee held with an Australian financial institution" -sure you can!

      • Oh thank you! I misunderstood and I thought it had to be a business account.

  • Note that this deal is expired on 31 Jan 2023 but the compliment Priority Pass membership is available only if you apply before 31 Dec 2022. Hence if you want to get the PP, best to apply now rather delay till Jan.

  • Anyone with the Prestige card can comment on how we can make use of the Concierge service aside from booking hotels?

Also can we actually book our own 4-nights hotel stay and get Concierge to refund us 25% of costs? I had also joined the IHG One Rewards Diamond deal a few months back, and want to book through the IHG website for the free breakfast + room upgrades.

    • Would like to know this as well

    • +1

I didn't ask directly so I don't have an exact answer, but I used this service and can confirm the booking is done through Expedia.

I believe any bookings through 3rd party sites typically get excluded from hotel membership programs. You could try though

      • Thanks mate, I have emailed Concierge to ask if we can book it ourselves seeing as the IHG price is usually cheaper than Expedia. Hopefully they keep to their 48hrs response time.

      • +1

called Citi Prestige Concierge and got the following advice
        - to utilise the 4th night free benefit, booking must be made via Citi Prestige Concierge (price based on Expedia)
        - Citi Prestige Concierge can also help book the hotel via membership programs but the 4th night free benefit won't apply to this type of booking.

guess it's an either or situation here.

        • Hi mate what number did you call Citi Prestige Conciege?

  • -1

Applied this morning, got approval email right after submitting docs. I also got that Pointhacks deal as well.

  • Just got approved :)

    Hopefully the card arrives soon!

  • -1

Can anyone confirm they've gotten the points and used (at least some value of) PayAll to do it?

If so, how long after meeting the spend did you get the points?

Are the points indicated on that months statement?

    • Yes i have used 4K pay all, got points pretty much in a week after meeting spend criteria.

    • +1

These are all answered in the thread.

  • Did anyone with a salary <70k get approved? Also when using Luxury Transfer does the driver check if you're the primary cardholder, or can you book it for family/friend who is not a cardholder? Thanks

    • +2

Me. Just under 70k. They already removed the min income requirement. Applied, submitted docs immediately and approved within mins after that.

      • yeah it took over a week for them to decide to reject my application and I'm earning 70k as well. maybe because I already have an existing Citi Rewards card with a $29k limit :>)

        • I had a Citi Rewards card at the same time and got approved.

        • No T&C says you can’t have more than 1 Citi card at a time. Pretty much a game of luck as many people with higher salary were still rejected.

        • How did you get 29k credit approved on 70k income??

    • +3

Luxury transfer they don't check anything. They just pickup and drop off. My driver was late by like 30 mins

      • +2

Doesn't sound ideal for an airport service!

        • +1

yes, that's bad service than Uber.

  • +1

Pretty pissed at Citi right now, my card has been locked by security since Friday and nobody can help me unlock it. Waited for 2 hours on the phone and been waiting 3 days for a call back with no help.

    • Mine got locked too, did you manage to unlock it?

    • Any thoughts on what might have triggered the lock?

      • +1

Needed more evidence post application even though it was already approved and I had been using it for 3 weeks, might have been triggered by too much spending as others have pointed out. Was a PITA, took over a week to get it unlocked and waiting hours on call for them to answer.

  • +1

Received my 300K points. Was very quick, came as a pleasant surprise. Now what to redeem that for?

    • Any ideas? Still can’t work out what to use it for

      • I've claimed 2x$500 WoW giftcard.

  • Is anyone keeping this for the insurance?

    • Maybe keep this for Priority pass, 20k points per month when using Payall, and other benefits like the 4th night free, luxury transfer,…

      • Thanks Hawkeye.
Some good benefits. Am holding this plus the ANZ FF Black. Seems this is the better one to keep.

    • The insurance looks pretty bad on this one. I saw medical cover is limited to like $150 a day?

Edit: I'm keeping it for priority pass though

      • Thanks mate. I will compare the westpac platinum and the ANZ Black. Can only keep one of the bigger cards.

      • Does priority pass expire if you close the prestige card?

  • Would we get the half annual fee oof $350 refunded pro rata if we close the card now?

    • Did you just only hold this for 2-3 months? You should get more than half.

      • +1

Yes but we only pay haft the annual fee in the first year, so pro rata refund should be calculated on that amount.

        • 3 months would be around $262.5 back
          ie. 350 - (350/12*3)

      • At least 2 people got the full amount from ANZ for their card. (Me being one of them)

  • Citibank application has been the worse I’ve ever experienced for any bank. 3 weeks after submitting my application and multiple phone calls and still waiting

    • Mine was approved within a few hours. Seems there's some vastly varying experiences.

  • Anybody who has tried to get the bonus twice? Just received the bonus and closed the account but thinking I might apply for another one since there doesn't seem to be the usual waiting period in the terms.

    • Not a bad idea - worth a shot, though they may just reject your application.

    • Just wondering if you tried and is successful?

  • Got the points from the first statement. Does anyone know how to spend the points in the app? or does it have to be via a website

    • Spend is only via web, at least I've not found a way in the app.

  • My card shipped on Monday apparently, how long are ppl waiting for their card to arrive? Anyone in WA?

    • +1

Perth here. 2 business days. approved last Thursday, posted on Friday and received on Monday. ANZ card arrived 1 day later.

  • +1

Mine took 7 days to arrive in Perth

  • Applied today and now waiting for approval. Hopefully it will be provided

    • Approval received this afternoon.

  • What is everyone doing with their 300K points besides gift cards? Anyone doing business class flights?

    • +3

I think redeeming FF is the best if you plan to fly every year (especially during peak season). It gives 120k KF which would be enough for 3 returned eco tickets in my case.

    • +2

Redeem to KF for business flights. Lots of availability. 120k is most of a 1 way business trip to Europe.

      • +1

Kf would be the best redemption…but only if u fly within 3yrs

If your stockpiling for kf for later (like i do), transfer to virgin first since no expiry

  • anyone had their card restricted? Mine got locked after spending spree on Black Friday. Wondering if it’s easy to get it unlocked again. Gotta wait till Monday I guess but a bit annoying as having to put my purchases on another card

    • Always been an issue with Citi and Virgin money unfortunately.

      • Thanks yea called them up to sort it today. Bit annoying but what can we do.

  • Applied this morning, called hotline to follow up to confirm if everything OK on their end and if need any further info to potentially expedite the approval process, was told the application is with the decision making team. Hopefully quick turn around on this as have a lot of expenses coming up in the next few weeks which could contribute to meet the spend requirements.

    • Have you got approval and how long does it take?

      • Yep, was approved pretty quickly (within a couple of days) just ring to follow up on your application.

Used PayAll to pay off my car loan to meet the min spend requirements lol.

  • Does anyone know how long they will credit the bonus points? Done $7.7K on first statement and only got 6600 points.

    • +1

I'm guessing 1.1k worth of ineligible transactions?

      • probably, thanks for the reply :)

        • use beemit / or zipay when beemit isn't supported by the merchant to make the spend dollars eligible in the future.

          • @JohnSy: Zippay charges $2.50 per bpay transaction though.

    • +3

Completed the required spending 2 weeks back. Just got my 1st statement and also the 300K bonus points. Note that I don't see the 300k in the statement, only in the app.

      • Wow that's quick turnaround time from Citi

      • How long did it take to get 300k points after the first statement?

I just received my first statement but can't see 300k points from the app. Paid $15k travel expense to my friend via PayAll

        • +1

My points appeared on the app within a day of the first statement.

          • @BellaWii: I can see the sign up bonus now. Thanks

            • @tc423: how long did they credit you bonus points? I spent 4k and payall 4k. Didn't see the points after two weeks yet. Wondering weather they recognize those 4k payall transactions.

              • @leski: You have received your statement?

  • I tried linking to kogan in order to test the pay with points option. But with my calculation, it's closer to $1250 instead of just redeeming $1500 in gift cards through citi.

  • Any idea if we can make instant payments with PayAll feature? As of now, it schedules them after 1 week!

  • Got the bonus pts after the first statement cycle. Very nice, Citi. 👏🏻

    • Nice! Did you use PayAll to get your points?

      • Yup, PayAll worked definitely because my normal day-to-day charges didn't hit the threshold.

  • Got my points and tried to close the card, however online support advises there is no pro rata refund offer on my account hence there will be no annual fee refund at all. Anyone else have the same situation?

    • Try a different CS

    • Aby update here?

  • Okay, so the Concierge service for the complimentary Luxury Transfer Service is a joke. Tried calling their Citi customer help, but all phone numbers given are inactive. Phone number in T&Cs don't work either.

Anyone gotten this to work? Will be planning to use the 4th night free feature soon too.

    • Both me and my partner used it. They just have one person attending calls so keep trying every few mins until you get through.

Don't forget to ask for the quote for transfer service. If it exceeds $100 you will need to pay the difference.

      • Thanks for that. What was the number that you called?

        • +3

          +61 2 7907 0814

    • Does their concierge service even exist? I've wasted so many hours (literally) trying to get a hold of someone, decided to cancel my trip with all the issues I've had with the card being locked + I couldn't get a hold of someone.

  • +11

FYI card holders, says targetted, but worked for me as a MC Prestige holder.

3 Months Free Amazon Prime Membership (New-Members) or $15 Gift Card for Existing Citi Mastercard Cardholders

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/730575

    • Thank you

  • My husband has received his card and put me as an additional card holder. Anyone know if I apply for it myself, would I still be eligible for points?

    • yes.

  • Citi confirmed no availability for airport pick-up on 1st Jan @4pm.

  • I noticed I earned points on Council rate payments. I thought it was excluded because it is a government body.

    • Interesting, I'm trying to use beemit to earn points on my council rates and keep getting an internal server error.

Would save a lot of trouble if I could just earn points normally!

      • +1

Got the same error with Beem and they haven't been able to fix it. Hopefully they can fix it before the next round of govt bills are due. Still would be nice to know if council rates, water rates, land tax and school fees earn reward points from people's experience.

        • +1

I was getting something went wrong message and Beem it asked to delete and reinstall the app. Interestingly that solved the issue.

          • +1

@Markoner: Thanks, it worked! Deleted and reinstalled the app and was able to pay a Sydney Water bill using Bpay.

  • When it comes to meeting the spend, does anyone know if it's $7500 of total spend, or 7500 points? I've spent nearly $8k on the card, but because some of those purchases were for council rates, I only have about 4500 points. Will I get my bonus points?

I tried asking Citi over the phone and they said I should be fine, but I don't really trust that the person on the phone knew what they're talking about, considering it took ten minutes to convince them that the card I have even exists.

    • +1

$1=1 point is the lowest tier conversion on this card fyi. Guessing your missing 3000 points is indicative that the spend did not count as "point eligible", so probably not contributing to your 7.5k spend. Should use Beem It for all bpay or Payall to make sure your spend counts towards the bonus.

I wouldn't trust these guys either, they were quite uninformed about some card features like the luxury transfer/concierge feature.

OR get it in writing I guess.

      • +4

I was afraid of this. Thanks for the reply.

EDIT: Woah! Just checked my account and the bonus points have been paid out!
So, for others: just spending $7500 on anything seems to meet the requirement, even if some things don't earn points.

  • Has anyone tried to switch to Qantas points after receiving the 300k bonus? I'd love to be earning QF points but lower annual fee and more velocity points make the initial Qantas sign-up far less attractive.

    • This is for Citi Rewards point

For Qantas point, apply for this

      • Thanks Tim, I understand you can apply for 1 or the other. I'm wondering if it is possible to switch between earning types midway through the year.

  • Does anyone know when this expires?

    • +1

See date above - just under "Report"

      • Thank you, missed that.

  • Got denied as a majority sole trader (part time employee) in a respectable field. Does anyone know how to contact them for re-assessment?

  • -2

Has anyone who has applied recently been sent the approval email with the following:

    *Citi PayAll Fee

A fee of 2% of the amount of the CitiPayAll payment is payable and is debited to your Account each time a Citi PayAll payment is made.*

So does the 0% fee as stated on their website trump this email?

  • +1

    Dear Reveen,

We are writing to let you know that your existing Citi Prestige Card benefits have been renewed until 31 December 2023. The benefits that currently apply to your Citi Prestige Card will remain the same.

The following benefits have been renewed:

    • 4th night free when you stay four consecutive nights at a range of hotels.

    • Priority Pass Membership with unlimited lounge visits for you and a guest.

  • Nice, got my points 1 day after statement.

I'm thinking to convert all to woolies giftcards. Usually flight redemptions are poor for me as I like flying economy and flying jetstar during sales is so much better value (and pay cash). Whereas this is $1500 of woolies gift cards, ie. as close to cash as you can get. Hard to beat.

    • I did a split between amazon, Apple and woolies.

  • +1

Do the 300k bonus points show up on your first statement? Because mine aren't there despite meeting the spend.

    • +1

Mine was showup in app few days after 1st statement.

  • +1

Applied when this deal first came out, took about 4-5 weeks to get approved despite being a relatively high income earner.

  • I got my first statement this morning, but still didn't receice bonus rewards point

    • Points will appear on the app, give it a day or so.

      • Just received, great!

  • +3

Just used the Priority Pass for the first time, Marhaba lounge in Melbourne. All done in the app, very easy. Didn't need to produce my card.

    • Nice. So do you have to pay for everything in the lounge or do you get a credit there also?

      • +1

Everything in the lounge is included.

        • Nice! Thanks

    • +1

Used this at Strata lounge in Auckland. Only show digital card and boarding pass. Also brought my colleague in as well. He was so happy because it was his first time in a lounge despite travelled a lot in Europe.

  • From Citi website:
"A cardholder can make up to $20,000 (subject to available credit) in Citi PayAll transactions each calendar month across all Citi branded Credit Cards."

If I already have a Rewards card and using the $20k limit, can I still make use of Payall if I apply for a Prestige card? Is it $20k per card or for all citi cards combined?

  • +1

So theoretically speaking, would it be possible use Citi Payall to transfer 7.5k to an account i.e. a partner/friend, receive the 300k reward points and then use the 7.5k that was initially transferred over to pay off the card?

    • Yes, theoretically.

  • Do you need to have paid off your card to get the bonus points? Just working out if I move the funds from offset now or wait till statement due date (my bonus points havent arrived yet, first day of statement)

    • I've received the bonus points few days after 1st statement. Paid at the due date.

  • What’s the best conversion of points for flights to Europe? Thinking KrisFlyer

    • Depends which airlines you're looking at really - velocity do ok and is a better conversion

  • -1

Has anyone used the Priority Pass to bring more than 1 guests to the lounge? I wondering if you can bring one in then walk out 10min later to bring the 2nd guest to same lounge.

  • +6

FYI - I put a $12k bill on the card, paid in full and got the points the following month. Pinged Citibank support and asked for a pro-rated refund of the annual fee, and got $320 back.

Therefore got $1500 worth of gift cards for $30 lol… pretty good deal boys.

    • Nice! Churning to a new card?

    • +3

I think it's a better deal if you can make use of the Priority Pass and the $180 worth of points each month via PayPal. Significant net profit over the year rather than any cost at all.

      • *Payall

        • Yeah, I probably won't be able to take advantage of the priority pass but the monthly payall is what is making me keep this card and cancel the anz black

      • Could you please explain the $180 worth of points?

If converting to gift cards, wouldn’t it be $100?

Unless you’re converting it to FF miles and valuing it that way?

        • 35k points is worth around $180 in gift cards.

          • +1

@gadgetguy: Ah yep, but for people who signed up to this, I’m assuming that they’d be limited to only $20k per month as opposed to $35k under the new PayAll terms?

    • Did you pay it in full right away or after they send you the bill in 45days?

      • Once the bill came the following month the points were credited then.

    • May I ask how did you ask for your refund? I closed the card yesterday after 3 months and today asked for a pro rated refund but they flat out refused.

    • Insane! Nice work!

    • What did you ask them to get pro-rata refund?

  • +1

Just got my card approved today.

However the email says 2% fee on PayAll, without mentioning it will be until free until 31/10, not sure whether I need to double check with Citi before going crazy with PayAll.

Has anyone tried accessing the lounge or priority boarding with the digital card in Citi App? As I will be flying out next saturday, there will a high chance I wont receive my card on time (Sydney) but I can actually activate the card in the App

    • +2

You should be ok to access the lounges with the digital card. I believe you can check if the lounge accepting digital card in the app. My physical card never out of the drawer.

    • What is the priority boarding?

    • Hi, did you check with Citi whether the PayAll 2% fee is correct? I've also applied and intend to use this to fulfil the $7.5k minimum spend so I'm worried now. Haven't been approved yet - only applied last night. Cheers!

      • Did you check the fine print about PayAll? Your question practically there.

Click the link to the deal, scroll down to "A card that works harder for you", find Citi PayAll, click Learn More.

        • Thanks for your reply. I did but according to other users on this thread, the PayAll 0% fee has been extended until Oct 2023, despite the fine print and email of acceptance, stating a 2% fee. However, that page was very helpful and does confirm the 0% PayAll fee is extended until Octo 2023. Thank you for sharing!

        • +1

I have also received a variation notice together with the card package.
It says the payall fee is 0 until 31/10/2023

  • Can we use PayAll/beemit to pay a friend or better ourselves? Wouldn’t that allow people to just transfer among friends and earn free points every month?

Also, can the additional card holder get a separate priority pass for free lounge access? If yes, does it mean both card holders can bring one guest each?

    • +2

Yes. Yes. My additional card holder successfully applied for a separate priority pass, but after a week it was cancelled. N/A

      • Why did the PP get cancelled? Also in theory the PP card only allows for one additional guest right?

        • I got only one invite for priority membership which is for the primary holder. My wife, additional card holder didnt receive the invite for priority membership.

The wording is a bit confusing for the additional guest. See attached

          https://ibb.co/JRsDQtn

          • +1

@ndave: You are provided an url to apply for the PP with whatever Mastercard level. So I used it as a primary cardholder and got the PP membership (for me and 1 guest). My partner tried to do the same as the additional cardholder's card has a different number. Initially they got PP membership as well (the process worked exactly as for me), but after several days the PP membership was expired (I guess after verification with Citi/Mastercard).

Of course feel free to try by yourself, there is no punishment for the try ;)!

        • +1

I guess it is expected according to T&Cs.

My PP card worked fine for me and 1 guest recently.

          • @vasya: My understanding was that the guest is free every time but if you see the screenshot I uploaded, it hints that the guest entry is free only once and after that guest is chargeable. But it can also be read as first guest is free every time and second guest in the same trip is chargeable :)

Did you try guest entry more than one time?

            • +1

@ndave: Yes I did. I went to Sydney airport with my partner in December and used my PP twice at 2 locations for me and my partner.

              • +1

@vasya: What ndave is asking, you go in with 1 guest the first time, then the primary card holder come out and re enter the second time with the difference guest and repeat until all of the family member is in the same location.

                • +1

                  @SnoozeAndLose: OK I see

What I did is I went to one café with my guest and afterwards in 30 minutes went to another cafe with 1 guest with no issue, but lounge isn't available with PP in Sydney Qantas terminal unfortunately.

                  • @vasya: Did you go to domestic T2 and T3's cafe? I am planning to arrive early and do the same.

Does the cafe need to be sit in or they can do take away?

                    • @SnoozeAndLose: Not sure - didn't ask about take away. However they sell stuff like sandwiches or toasts, so no way they can force you to eat them in the cafe.

                      • @vasya: Cool, if you bring a guest means you can shop up to $72?

I have a Jetstar fight, am I able to get it?

                        • +1

@SnoozeAndLose: yes they actually first checked my PP card both times and asked if I'm with a guest and then advised that I can spend $72 from PP card and anything on top to be paid by some other means.

I don't get the second question.

                          • @vasya: I means if I travel with Jetstar instead of Qantas, it won't disqualify me going into the PP cafe.

                        • +1

@SnoozeAndLose: You have PP not a Qantas lounge pass.

                    • @SnoozeAndLose: Domestic T3(Qantas)

                      • @vasya: Qantas lounge didnt accept my PP :(

                        • +3

@ndave: It's not valid in any Qantas lounges.

                        • +3

@ndave: you should check the PP application or website - they specify which lounge/cafe is supported by PP at particular airport/terminal. Sydney T3 has only 2 cafe working with PP, for example.

                    • @SnoozeAndLose: It can be takeaway.

                  • @vasya: Did they check your boarding pass?

    • Wait I didn't know Beemit allows you to transfer among friends using credit card.

    • +1

Can we use PayAll/beemit to pay a friend or better ourselves? Wouldn’t that allow people to just transfer among friends and earn free points every month?

Don't know about BeemIt, but people has being enjoy riding the PayAll gravy train since 2021. Some probably done few RTW trips

      • I am wondering if ATO would flag accounts for tax since these receiving accounts will have large deposits from our credit cards every month.

  • I thought i read that they were removing the unlimited access proirity pass membership for new applicants after dec 31st 2022. Can anyone confirm this is the case. I've just clicked on the link ( Jan 1st) and i see it as a perk.

    • +2

The 2023 PDS says it's still a perk too (https://www.citibank.com.au/global_docs/pdf/citi-prestige-cr…)
"Offer valid from 1 January 2023 until 31 December 2023.
      Benefit
Complimentary Priority Pass membership and unlimited lounge visits for Citi Prestige primary
      cardholder and one guest.
Complimentary lounge access for Citi Prestige primary cardholders and one guest. Citi Prestige
cardholder’s guests can enjoy up to 35% discount on the first‐year membership fee for Priority Pass™
‐ the world’s largest independent airport lounge access program."

  • Great. Thanks so much.

  • just checking to see if there is a workaround for this situation.

I've a Citi Premier Card with 6k limit and 35kPayall setup (setup back in 2021) for next couple of years on this card.

I also got the prestige with 20K limit recently, but when trying to setup a new Citi Payall on the prestige I keep getting the error max limit reached. I understand Citi probably takes into limit of all open Citi cards and hence not letting me setup more payments. Is there a way to make this work?

  • +1

Has anyone been able to use the $100 transfer credit?

    • Spent ages giving all the details over the phone but they never responded with a quote. Waste of time.

      • The concierge team are pretty hopeless, and they take sooo long to get things done on the call.

What I do now when booking the transfer is I email them all the details, then ask for a call back to confirm everything. (same thing for the hotel stays)

Even with everything spelt out clearly in the email, it still takes an incredibly long time for the operator to book it in.

    • Yes. I used it from Hilton surfers to gold coast airport. Didn't get charged any extra.
I booked another one for later this year and the proces have gone up so the $100 doesnt go as far. It lands up being about $40-50 of value when compared to uber rates

    • Yep, used it in Sydney.

  • I read through the whole thread, am i right to understand that, to meet the minimum spend, one could:
    1. link the Prestige card in BeemIt.
    2. use BeemIt to Bpay for your ATO, council bill or other Bpay Bills
    3. this would then show up on the Prestige as a BeemIt transcation, not a Bpay Transaction.

therefore qualifying for the minimium spend?

sorry i'm a bit slow on this.

    Cheers.

    • +1

I find Beem to be highly unreliable. When I first tried it didn't work. Now I can pay Sydney Water but not Council rates using BPay, go figure.
Use PayAll if you can to meet minimum spend.

      • Hi mate, just to confirm that PayAll transaction also count towards the minimum spending of $7500 for prestige card?

        • Yes, it’s been confirmed by others in this thread that PayAll transactions count towards the $7,500. I didn’t use PayAll to reach it though.

    • +3

I was able to pay ATO just now with Beemit and my new citibank credit card. So it works now.

  • Can we also get Citi Premier Card deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/729346

    • Nothing stopping you. If you get approved then you'll get the bonus.

  • +1

Has anyone tried booking the 4th night free benefit for someone else?

    • yeah I'm wondering the same thing, their citi-prestige-credit-card-benefit-terms-and-conditions pdf say the 4th night will be in the form for a 'credit' in 6-8 weeks, i hope the credit is just the money refund, not some hotel credit that you have to redeem for your next booking.

      • I have booked a Europe trip and will use this 4 times. I think they accidentally credited me already (it's not till April) but I got an email saying the credit will be processed. It showed up back in my account. Note - it's pre-taxes.

        • Did you book this via the concierge service or online?

          • +1

@VRZ: You have to do it via them. I email the concierge for a quote and then you have to call them to book/pay for it. I’ve received another of the 4th night free credits back even though the trip isn’t till April.

            • @braker: And their pricing is exactly the same prices we get from expedia?

also do you know if they can book hotels which aren't on expedia?

              • @VRZ: Yep pricing is whatever the time on Expedia as a logged in member eg if there’s 10% off for members.
Haven’t tried booking not on Expedia but I think when they give you a quote that’s where it comes from.

                • @braker: thats good to know thanks.
How long do they take to reply via email?

                  • @VRZ: Usually no more than 6 hours. Sometimes 1 sometimes 3.

  • Anyone have any tips for using the points? Is gift cards the best way and how do you buy the gift cards?

    • You redeem from the web portal

  • Hi Oz Bargain community,

Just received an email from Citi advising of approval, however the email mentions the Citi Pay All fee of 2%, however I believe Pay All is fee free until October 23?

Has anyone here recieved such an approval email with the Pay All fee mentioned and incurred any fees as a result of then going on to use Pay All?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Yeah same here. Not sure what the deal is now?

      • When you receive the card in the mail there is a flyer which has the updated dates. It’s still free.

  • Hi All,
How often does the reward points balance update on the Citi app? I make test transactions and then monitor the points earned to confirm the spend is considered eligible for the bonus points. Thank you.

  • +3

Just got Citibank to fully refund annual fee. Eventually got $1500 gift cards for free.

    • Haha nice, what did you say as your reason to cancel :)

    • +2

Wouldnt keeping the card yield more return if you do payall 20k each month? Thats like $100 in gc each month. So for $750, you will get extra $1000 in gc since payall has no fee until october.

      • +5

I have another credit card with Citibank so Payall is already all setup for next decade :)

I told them I want to reduce my credit footprint and already hold another fee paying credit card with them. There were some reservations but eventually agreed to refund the full annual fee.

        • I have a similar setup to yours - have both prestige and another rewards card with payments setup for next 4/5years so I’m going to cancel prestige as soon as I get the SUB.

Did you use any other benefits like concierge, 4th night free and priority pass? I’m not going to use either of these and ask for refund of annual fee.
Wondering if using the perks has any impact on whether they refund or not or is if it’s completely random.

          • @maverick1: Wouldn't matter if you have used all the perks. Not their job to digging your spending history unless you raise question about your transactions.

        • Can I ask which card you have and what’s the fee and benefits on that card? Thanks

      • Hey, can you please elaborate on the 20k payall payment a bit more please?

  • I just went onto Citi Online to cancel my card via live chat but the customer service officer - Rich is refusing the refund of any of the $350 pro-rated annual fee.

Any tips? I have only had it for a month or so and met the criteria.

  • -1

Just got approved, applied on Thursday. Got the email which says its a 2% fee on all citi payall transactions. Is this correct? I thought payall has no fee until October 31st? cheers

    • +5

For some unknown reasons, they couldn't update the standard email. But they did on web

    • Did you not receive a variation notice?
I have got one. It says extended to 31/10/2023
Not sure how to upload the photo here

      • Thanks yeah, got the card and variation notice confirms 0% payall fee until 31 Oct.

  • Are any benefits lost if I apply for the card now over if I applied last year?

    • +1

      No, all still there

      • +1

        Deliveroo!!!

  • Hey guys I have a problem whereby my google play store is set to turkey and cant be changed back atm, must be because I changed my google payment profile in November to get netflix turkey and google cloud storage. Issue is the citi au app wont open now and cant be re-downloaded from google play. Therefore I cant setup citi pay all payment cause for some reason this can only be done in the app. Will just have to setup citi au app on another device i reckon..

  • Is Citi Payall feature down at the moment? Doesn't seem to load.

  • How long did everyone's application take to get approved/declined?

    • +1

I applied last Monday night, and got approved 1pm the next day.

    • +1

Applied last thursday and still no update.

      • Same with me

        • Have you tried calling them? Had to call twice to see where the application is at and both times they ask for more info. If I was waiting for update from them, it will take longer.

          • @1bargain: Yes two calls so far

          • @1bargain: How did they notify you of approval? SMS or email?

            • @arcticmonkey: Hi, did they get back to you? They sms first and have been sending lots of emails about the account.
Can’t wait to start earning the points. Hope Payall is easy to set up and maintain each month.

              • @1bargain: Got a call to ask why I applied as I cancelled another Citi card two weeks ago. I said due to the features but nothing else yet.

                • +1

@arcticmonkey: Hope you can get it though

                  • +1

@1bargain: Got approved yesterday so around 10 days since application.

                    • @arcticmonkey: Strange that some get in one day. You 10 days and many calls. Maybe self employed?

                      • @1bargain: I already have a Citi Premier and a CommBank ultimate and got approved for this card in 3 days without any questions

                        • @Nuggets: Awesome! Maybe being with Citi Premier helped?

                          • +1

@1bargain: Perhaps although I have seen someone else received a phone call from Citi asking why they wanted another card from the same bank. Lol

                          • +1

@1bargain: Naah. I've premier and applied back in Oct got rejected. Applied again in Jan and got approved.

                            • +2

@maverick1: i also applied for this in oct and was auto rejected, applied now and was auto approved.

    • Got approved but email doesnt say anything about the bonus points though.

      • Approved today and also no mention of bonus points

    • Applied last night, approved < 12 hours later.

  • I've had the card for a bit under 1 month. I've got about 53K points on www.citirewards.com

How the hell is that possible, we have spent about $17K , most if that being flights. There is now way each transaction yielded 3:1.

Was there some promo or something.(excluding the 300K which should appear after my first statement)

    • You earn 3 points on eligible transactions with major airlines and hotels, one of many benefits of the card.

      • Yep, I read the rates before I posted, the maths don't add up.

        Even $17K x 3 doesn't = 53K, and 17K was on the high side.

hmm, lets see it might adjust itself

  • How many points do we get from beem it if we pay the ATO using this prestige card? I assume 1 point per dollar?

    • +1

      Yep. Paid recently got 1pt/$.

      • Isn't ATO considered govt payments and therefore no points as per their T&Cs?

If ATO payment attracts points, that also means council rates, car rego…etc all attracts points as well?

        • Not if paying via Beem it app.

  • Applied over a week ago. Got a call today from the assessor asking for my reason for cancelling a Citi card two weeks ago and applying for this one

I said for the benefits for this card but I felt it was a strange question

  • I’m in the midst of re-financing a mortgage so it’s best I don’t apply for any credit cards before then. As I might not make it in time by the end of the month, this deal will have expired.

Does anyone know how often a deal like this comes around?

Have been contemplating just yolo’ing and applying for it regardless.

    • How much is the refinance going to save you?

    • If you think you can get this card, make the required spending, get the bonus points and close it before reference then do it.

    • how did you go? I just refinanced but I think both my lenders will show up on my credit report so not worth the hit from citi

      • If one refinanced which mean you swapped your mortgage to a different lender. So all the credit card lender will see bank A replaced for bank B wouldn't it?

        • It takes time to update. I've been caught with this before. My report was showing 2x loan amount but was updated a week after.

  • With regards to the 4th night free, there appears to be a clause that states: " Between each booking, a minimum of a 7-day window is required"

Does this mean we cannot book in different cities back to back? Ie. 4 nights melb and then 4 nights sydney straight after?

Or does it just mean that if I make my Melb booking today, I have to wait 7 days before I can make my Syd booking? Reason I ask is that it goes to some pain explaining that you can't back to back in the same city - which would be a moot point anyway if you can't do bookings within 7 days of each other.

    • +1
      • " Between each booking, a minimum of a 7-day window is required"*
Does this mean we cannot book in different cities back to back? Ie. 4 nights melb and then 4 nights sydney straight after?

Thats how I would interpret it. I would think this clause is in place to stop people booking hotel A for 3+1 nights and hotel B for 3+1 nights, hotel C for 3+1 over a two week period. Maxamising the use over a shortest period possible.

I suspect if the clause was per hotel, i.e. you can't book the same hotel within a 7 days window that would be fine, but I guess people would just book hotel A for 3+1 and hotel B which is down the road for 3+1, etc

      • Frustrating - have a 3 week trip planned next year and was going to use this!

  • Applied at 930am yesterday and suprisingly got approved 30mins later after proving the usual pay slips and bank statements.

  • Has anyone recently transferred Prestige points to Kris or Virgin or both? How long is it taking for the points to show up in your FF account?

    • transferred from my Premier card to Kris flyer a few weeks ago, took longer than i thought maybe almost 1 week. I requested on a Sat or Sun from memory.

      • Yup, I did some to Velocity and some to Kris, Velocity was pretty quick, 1-2 days. Kris took a week.

        • Are you able to confirm what the conversion rate to both Kris and Velocity were? Seeing different things from different sources

          • @wqepoi: KrisFlyer 2.5:1
            Velocity 2:1
            Qatar Avios 3:1
            Flybuys 1:1
            Etihad Guest 3:1
            Cathay Asia Miles 2.5:1

      • Hey, do you know what the conversion rate is to Kris Flyer?

  • is it possible to change this card to earning qantas points after getting the 300k citi points? 20k qantas point per month on payall is more attractive than 20k citi points

    • +1

      It's not 20k Qantas points it's 10k.

      • their wording is pretty confusing, but reading it again i suspect you're right

I have a Citi Premier and it's definitely 0.5 points. You essentially earn krisflyer at the same rate as Qantas points as 1 Citi point is 0.5 krisflyer points.

Krisflyer and Qantas points are valued equally by pointhacks but imo krisflyer are more scarce in Australia so they are a great choice here.

          • @Nuggets: My mistake, Krisflyer transfers at 2.5:1. For me personally though it's still the better choice.

  • Anyone find their points system a bit misleading?

Recently purchased from Officeworks as a "National retailer", only received 1 point per $1 spend.

"on Eligible Transactions¥ made directly with major: supermarkets, petrol outlets and national retailers" 2 points per $1

  • Interesting, the promo still active today.

  • This offer is valid until 31 January 2023. Post this advertised date; we reserve the right to continue, withdraw or change the offer at any time without notice.

  • +1

Citi chat advised offer is still valid so put an application in.

    • +1

Wish they would update T&C with the extended date, there's a level of uncertainty when relying on citi chat for something like this.

    • Yeah i called support and they said offer has been extended till 15th Feb, 2023.

Does anyone know how much 300k citi reward points converts to for a/ Kris and b/ Velocity?

My understanding is 100k Kris (3:1) and 120k Velocity (2.5:1) - but Pointshack article is saying different

    • +1

I'm seeing 2.5 Points = 1 KrisFlyer Miles and 2 Points = 1 Velocity Points with the Prestige card. Before logging in, it does say 3:1 and 2.5:1.

    • +2

Kris (3:1) and Velocity (2.5:1) are for the lower tier Rewards card. Premier and Prestige have better rates at 2.5:1 and 2:1
Refer to this spreadsheet for how much 300k points is worth

Am I right in saying you can have a 20k limit, transfer out to BSB and put into a high-interest savings account for the month, transfer back in and pay off the card before interest-free period is complete and gain the points for the PayAll transfer, the interest on the HISA and instantly knock over the 7.5k in 90 day spend requirement….? Wtf

    • You’re not wrong

    • +3

it's fantastic, park the cash in your offset each month, rinse and repeat — collect 240k points pa for premium econ east coast to singapore and free taxi ride to the airport. book a long weekend and get 4th night on the house, good times

      • -2

Note, you'll pay $700 AF on 2nd year.

    • Wow that's crazy. I just applied for 20k limit - now I'm thinking I should have gone max?

  • Does anyone closing the account know how long after is the priority pass closed?

    • +1

Could be immediately to 24hr. I would imagine Citibank would flag your account is closed and any transaction after that would be denied - except for payment transactions.

  • -5

Does anyone know if you overpay your tax to the ATO, will they refund back into the same credit card? Hence won't be counted towards the $7,500 spend?

    • Surely you’re not doing that deliberately?

      • -3

What do you mean. I can't be bothered buying a bunch of gift cards to use later. Maybe I can just overpay them and let it sit in the account until next financial year rofl. The laziness in me

        • +2

Just do a PayAll to yourself, it counts towards the $7500 spend.

Applied today after chatting with the Citi call centre who confirmed that the offer has been extended to Feb 15th with the same criteria (someone else mentioned this before as well - thank you!)
