    good price

  • +1

It looks like their normal price.

    • +4

I think it must be the ebay plus coupon code discount which makes the deal.

But still even at the $199 it's still damn cheap for a brand name 32" 4K monitor but given a used one at that.

    • It is, but it's also used, if the price is good then I think it qualifies as a deal.

      • it qualifies as a deal.

not if there is no saving.

        • Depends what you're comparing it to, unlike with a new product you can't directly compare it competitors or RRP.

        • +3

You're posting on a site that listed Dune coming to Netflix as a deal.

        • Who gives a bollox. Move on if you don't like it champ.

          • +1

            @Pete Gabitas:

            Who gives a bollox.

            Who?

            • @jv: Only you by the looks of it.

              • +2

@Pete Gabitas: Actually, less than 3% of people viewing this post considered it a bargain. 97% didn't (including you).

  • Good price, but at 300nits you'll want a lighting controlled room for anything high detail.

    • Mine's plenty bright and I face a big window, with other windows on each side. No probs with detail.

In fact, I don't use the Office or Photo modes very often as they are too bright.

      • I'm glad your experience is positive.
By comparison, I have direct sunlight on my screen, and need at least 500 nits for it to overcome the sun.
If I lower the curtains (light control the room, as I said) then it's fine.

        To each their own :)

        • Working with direct sunlight at your work area is just asking for skin cancer. Yes you don't get sun burnt but the bad UV light that causes skin cancer still gets through.

          Check with your oh&s manger.

          • @Gusper: The same UVB that causes burns causes skin cancer (same ionisation mechanism), and it is blocked by normal glass.
You can't even get a tan through glass.
But working with direct sunlight on your work area is bad for other reasons.

            • @bargaino: I know, check out what UV A does though, and how much is absorbed by glass. About 75% gets through. Even Autoexpert thinks getting auto UV tinting is a good idea. He also points out it would cost stuff all to put complete UV A and B blocking glass in every car but, customers just aren't that informed so sales managers won't prioritise it.

I used to think that a mates mum was stupid for wearing driving gloves. Turns out she drives a lot and most of the skin cancers were cut out of her hands.

Moral of the story is you need at least a clear UV tint on your windows if your going to work in sunlight everyday.

              • +2

@Gusper: Before aircon, taxi drivers and truckies used to get a lot of skin damage on the right arm.

Googling … turns out it depends on the car. Normal windscreens block 94% of UVA by one source, but side windows as little at half. Then again, I can't remember the last time I saw a car without tinting on the side windows.

                • -1

@bargaino: Your missing the point, if I work in direct sunlight through glass can I get skin cancer, yes,,,, yes you can.

Also tint doesn't equal UV block depends on what you buy. You can get clear UV block.

And this is the point I realised you either want people to get skin cancer, ewe!, but how did this benefit you, or the alternative meaning your just!!, cars without tint????

                  Mic drop…..

I just hope everyone who reads this is not lulled into a false sense of security that glass stops skin cancer, it really doesn't, UV blockers stop skin cancer.

Product web page for the monitor. It claims to be designed for CAD and 3D graphics.

    https://www.philips.com.au/c-p/328P6VJEB_75/brilliance-4k-lc…

Good deal for the price for this even as a used monitor. But these likely just came out of an enterprise office air conditioned environment. BNEACTTRADER sells ex corprorate computer gear. In the past i bought a few ex corporate computers from this seller. It came in great condition.

At $199 did you expect a 4K IPS monitor?.

    • +2

Honestly, if it's a good one, I'd prefer that.
Unless you want to game or something; but for CAD and spreadhseet work that this monitor is deigned and advertised for; I'll take the consistant blacks any day.

  • +1

    Loving mine. No regrets.

    • Me too.. Love the retro chunky look and the ability to rotate to portrait.

    • +1

I'm pretty happy with mine too. Definitely worth the $180 I paid the other day, other people at work have monitor envy now.

    • Yes i got one & it's been excellent

  • It's a shame. Could have got this for cheaper only two weeks ago.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/744256

Still cheap for the current $199.

New for $217 is surely a better deal.

  • Bought one from the deal posted by 09/12. So happy with the feature PBP (Picture by Picture). I can watch movies and reply boss's email at same time when link this monitor to two PCs.

    • Oh wow really? Thats amazing my work laptop cant access gmail so if i can hook both woek and personal laptop then its gold.

I just worry the fonts at 4k are too small for my old eyes (but I need the large real estate of 4k)

      • do you work in graphic design or what job?

        • Nope just office job, excels, pdf, outlook, ms doc,chrome.. (multiples, and I like to have them open all the time without minimising and maximising)

      • You can scale the font bigger. Recommended default is 150%.

        • But then i will sacrifice a bit of real estate, right? Like less rows on excels?

          • @CyberMurning: You mean the rows you can't read anyways?

            • @mit: True… hmm what i need is maybe 3x49" fhd side by side. Lol maybe one day….

              • @CyberMurning: I got 2 of these. Coming from 24 it's huge. 49 would be insane. My as well line the wall with them

                • @mit: Yeah, I have a 49" and a 32" here - its too much unless you are simming or something

      • 4K 32" is the same resolution as FHD 16".

        • Sorry, I meant 'resolution' in the original and 'proper' meaning :-) Both 140 dots per inch. As opposed to pixel count.

          • @bargaino: what is the purpose of that info comment?

            • @pinkybrain: Not clear? Fonts look the same as on a larger fhd laptop screen at same distance. Chimot was concerned.

              • @bargaino: it also depends on the persons eyesight

some people need really thick glasses/magnifier just to see anything on a screen

      • It's real. The resolution of both screen is 1920 x 1080. I set scalling size = 150%.

    • @danielblue hi Dan when using PBP i find both screens are too small? (as they are side by side, lots of black bar on top and bottom).
PiP, the second screen is too small and we cant enlarge/resize.
(fyi im talking about in 4K res, not sure what res do you use?)

      • I saw black area on top and bottom as well but it doesn't affect me to see the two screens. I sit half meter away from the monitor, each screen's resolution is 1920 x 1080 and scalling size = 150%.

The reviews from the others (and wow they got them quick!) have convinced me these are great quality in the real world.

Not letting this get away this time.

  • This is great I regretted not getting 2 when this was last posted

  • Ty OP, was kicking myself that I missed it twice. 4k 32" pretty well reveiwed monitor from only a few years back for 200 is a no brainer for me!

  • Tempted to get this one instead as I find 32" is too big for my tiny desk. How's the picture quality compared to this?

    • Get bigger desk

      • Get bigger desk

        Sure get a bigger desk..
and should they also resize the room as well?

Most people's desk should be able to fit one of these 32 inch monitors
but will be a problem for people who likes a multimonitor setup.

Brand new for $218 a few days ago. Is $30 off that good a deal?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/746126

    • I think so, it was $175 and $218 (new) earlier, but you can't get that price anymore.

      <$200 for a used 31.5" 4K monitor is cheap.

      • also depends on the quality of the monitor and how long it would last

Cheap monitors usually means there is cost cutting e.g. in the quality or how long it lasts

    • missed this. this would be a best buy i think. would have gotten a 2nd one for that price for a bnib

  • the ports / inputs for this monitor is a bit weird and differs from the manual of the model - no usb-c port in actual and usb ports are separated on the right side vs the rest.

the in-built speakers are crap. so best to manage own expectation and be prepared to source your own external speakers

other than that, excellent 4k screen, no dead or defective pixel

    • There are at least 2 revisions of the 328P6V and the one sold in this listing is the older one which still has DVI and VGA ports. I managed to find manual for both versions of the monitor on the Philips website.

Mine arrived yesterday. Came with stand, power cable, and DP cable. The monitor has some scratches on it, but the overall quality is good.

  • +1

Mine came today. Screen in good condition and works well. Stand has lots of deep scratches. No USB or HDMI cables. Overall worth the price. Would have bought one of the new ones if there had been more available.

  • Thanks for checking in guys (@ Mucchan and great-price).

Mine still hasn't arrived, and was curious as to whether anyone had received it yet. Reading some of their reviews got a me a little worried (poor comms and missing deliveries).
I hope not to have to contact them and just be happy with the purchase ;).

    • +2

Just thought I'd do the same and share my results too. Mine arrived today (very late on 10/01/23).

Ordered on 23/12/22. Allowing for a Christmas close/slow down, delivery was a little slower than I normally expect (QLD metro to ACT metro), but no real complaints with timing. It was received after the last delivery date quoted on Ebay.

That being said, I'm very happy with monitor. No blemishes, marks/scratches, or dead pixels on screen itself. It's been running 4k content for 3 hours straight and hasn't shown any stress at all. Speakers work (not that I'm going to be using them). The stand itself is a little scuffed/scratched, and so is the extreme plastic edges of the monitor itself (where you would touch it to adjust height), but I don't care about that at all.

Power and display port cables, but no manual and wrapped in a generic box with alternate branding (not Philips).

The only negative is that it has a 2018 build date, so is much older than I thought it would be. But it looks to have had an easy life so we'll see how we go.

On the whole I'm very happy! For $189 delivered it's a winner!

      Thanks again OP.
