    Very tempting!

    • With 15/16 hours layover???

      • It seems even with flight cost plus accommodation, it’s cheaper to go to India and stay at a decent joint than to pay rent in Sydney. I’m tempted to try local street food and compare it to Indian restaurants here

        • +2

Take good medication before you go …food will be 2000% better but it might not tingle your vitals in correct way

  • +1

    i need a sydney deal.

    • +3

Spend $100 to get to Melbourne and use this deal.

    • -3

Yea the pollution and overcrowdness are not fun but in terms of natural beauty and historical architecture, Aus doesn't even come close

      • +1

        overcrowdness are not fun

        It's fun for me

      • +1

Pollution is everywhere. I travel mostly only for food. I wanna go to India and every other country where flights are cheap.

    • +7

Thanks for the info, I was curious what would Dunks feel about this deal. Now I can sh*t in peace, knowing the truth.

    • +1

Brainwashed by Western media. Only big cities are overcrowded there. 75% of india is sparsely populated.

    • -4

Post your bank details so I can pay you 5c.

  • +2

Price is tempting but the layover times are crazy!

Etihad is a very crap airline, I flew with them and the flight got cancelled after sitting in the plane for 5 hours on the tarmac. It got rescheduled for the next day and no accommodation was provided and only taxi voucher was given.
As a result of the cancelled flight I missed my connecting flight that I had booked separately and I'm still chasing them up for compensation from November but it has been impossible so far.

    • +2

I'm still chasing them up for compensation

This is what insurance is for…

      • Which insurance? Tick, world2cover?

I'm looking at options now, seems like a really smart investment.

        • +1

I've used world2cover for a long time, both single trip and annual policies and have had a good experience so far, paying out on 2 claims. The 20% discount code on here was still working when I got an annual policy a week ago. WW20ENTB

If its post covid then its seems to have become common place. Qantas I thought was very decent. They gave away my seat and made me wait 5hrs for next flight without reason. Denied compensation and then after pushing gave me a $15 meal card….

5 out of 6 flights in the total return schedule were delayed. Worst experience ever. Guessing post covid alot of airlines may be struggling.

    • For that exact reason you always book travel with the same carrier.

      • +1

needs to be the same ticket/PNR all the way through, some airlines give you the "too bad so sad" when they're separate tickets even if the same carrier.

        • +1

Yep true that's actually what I meant

34 hour flight???? No thanks. Not that I ever want to visit India but you never know

  • -1

    USA deeaaal pleasseeeee!

    • +1

Singapore Airlines had a deal recently. $1.1k return to LA from Aus.

      • +1

That’s a massive detour you’re looking at about 24 hours with the transit for something that takes 14 direct.

    • +1

Qantas were doing $1200 return to LAX for most of this year (outside peaks of course)

  • Would be 110 VA Status return, so about the same as a return business flight in the triangle and roughly the same cost
    Interesting status run tho

    • Earns more points than doing a triangle return in J lol.

  • +2

If one wanted to fly to AUH on Etihad, on some dates it's cheaper to buy this roundtrip and skiplag the remaining 3 flights lol. But the return ticket will be an issue.

    • Thinking of this as well but such a waste to throw away 3 legs. Any one-way deals, OP?

    • +2

Be careful with that. A few companies charge high no show fees

      • Lol, you don't get charged extra if you don't travel. You only get charged if you don't travel and then try and change your ticket.

    • I need to fly these dates. But only issue is at checkin staff will ask for Indian Visa. Even if plan is to not complete the legs after AUH.

  • Indonesia/Thailand deal please

    • +1

Fly vietjet then get internal flights?

    • -2

Wtf would you go via AUH on Etihad to go to Indonesia.

  • +2

Mann you're a flight sniper, no doubt in that. Keep up the good work.

  • I need sale fares to Madrid…

  • -2

are there any scam call tours in india?

  • what's the best time of year to visit Mumbai? Anyone want to accompany me if i pay your fare
Edit: Oct-Feb is best time to visit when it's winter and not so hot

    • +2

You seem to be quite eager for some random stranger to accompany you, to the point where you are ready to pay for their fare. Mind me asking why?

      • I want some company, preferably from someone who knows the city and can show me around

        • +1

you can hire local guides over there for a lot cheaper

          • @deathjr: I'd rather take someone with me

            • @x x: Way cheaper to use Klook or Viator.

              • @ddhar: thanks, never heard of Viator - do you have any codes before i sign up (in case you want some benefits for it)

    • +2

Watch some youtube videos, make a list of things to do and visit. Go to Mumbai, stay in good hotels and use Uber/Ola, Google Maps to travel around. Most people speak or understand English and the signs are in English.

You dont really need to depend on anyone.

    • hey bud, those months are great for Mumbai visit. You may be able to find a lot of travelers from here during that time. Why don't you put this in a forum regarding places to see and things to do. etc and you may get lucky of someone from OzB is there at the same time and willing to help.
If you stay in a good hotel, the staff are very helpful and most certainly go over and above to make your visit pleasant

  • What if I miss the first flight and use the return flight ? Is it possible? What can be done in such case?
