Got an email explaining normal $500 trade-in bonus is now $800 with customer coupon code. Code looks unique so probably targeted.

Already got my S23 for a good price using Harvey Norman deal, so I don't need another one!

    • That's probably they generated the code for S22 (unless you're actually trying to buy S22 and it still doesn't work).

  • Avoid ordering black..my order got cancelled. Ordered watch and s23 ultra.
    Called support not very helpful either they said its not in stock hence cancelled.

      Cant they change it to a different colour?

      • No, just got email with cancelled order and they refunded what I was charged.

        Tried expanlaing the customer service..too complicated to explain them. They said they can't dont anything.

        Codes used, we may need to regenerate tradein. The others amy work, havent tried again.

            • @OzGardian: i just did the purchase again and this time the $100 loyalty code coould not be applied. I had to generate another trade-in code but all the other codes could be used again.
              Lets see if this time it goes through.

      You have to say your currently using Apple. They might ask for a screenshot of your Imei page

  • Just looked into this… what a massive stuff around to get a trade in code to confirm the total. They make it way too complicated.

    • took me ages and a few calls. it seems to only work when you select the online trade in option, not in store. (and u have to add your cc details) you may need to delete app and reinstall to start again.

    surely this wouldn't cause any issues would it?

    • I believe you can't use the eVoucher to reduce the cost of the phone. You must use it to buy something else from the store eg. watch, case or tablet.

      • yep. I meant to use it on other products. But according to Samsung loyalty i can't use the eVoucher at all if i want to claim the 10% loyalty. emailing them again to clarify

    - $1 trade-in value (S20 FE 5G 128g supposed to be $105 but in the app it said pink screen fault but I see nothing wrong with phone)
    - $400 (trade-in bonus)
    - 10% (loyalty discount code via email)
    - $50 newspaper subscription
    - $100 (loyalty voucher via Samsung chat saying that I'm currently using iPhone going to Samsung)
    from chat "$100 off code in purchasing our new flagship devices, S23 Series & You can also use this for the S22 Series."

    = $703.20 with accessories of charger, screen protector and silicone case ($150 eVoucher).

      • I didn't say which phone I wanted to buy, I just said I'm coming from iPhone 12 pro max which is few years old and chat gave me the code.

      The pink screen fault is just a static picture, asking if it appears on ur screen like that. Its not assessing ur phone. U decide if its pink or not. I think u got confused. Do the trade up process again.

      • well I tried again, after tapping the screen and saying no pink screen, no line and last one it automatically changes the price from $105 to $1 and in the summary it's saying there is a screen fault.

            @Andymak: Did you choose delivery or in store pickup? If it's in store, Samsung has this issue where it's just permanently stuck on "Awaiting Dispatch" on some pick up orders - I still have a Flip3 showing as awaiting dispatch from over a year ago. Just had to call the store (was like a day or two after I ordered) and they said it was ready for pick up despite what the website says.

    Or what would be the best way to send the device back apart from Australia post?

    • Why you upgrading from fold if I may ask ? Isn’t fold better than this except cameras?

        I have had my time with Fold. I like the novelty factor and th big inner screen, but the inner screen is not the same built as a normal flat glass Amoled screen. Its more reflective, less bright and less vibrant than the narrow outer screen.
        Moreover, i am mainly using the narrow outer screen for most part of the day, which is okay but not the lest experience.

        And lastly the apps are still not properly optimiaed to use the full screen estate on the inner display. The aspect ratio is off in almost all of the social media apps.

        And it is a chunky monkey to carry around, Fold 4 weighs around 265 gms. Its hard to use it for longer periods of time with one hand.

        It was a tough call to make but with all the offers i decided to jump back into the normal slab phones.

        And S23 Ultra looks promising 👌. I had a S21 ultra before and I liked the zoom cameras which Fold doesn’t have.

    For anyone worried about order cancellations:

    Emailed Samsung Loyalty and they confirmed that it will only work with the $800 bonus, not the $250 eVoucher or $50 newsletter code.

    I think I'll use the loyalty code and ditch the eVoucher rather than use the $50 newsletter code and $250 eVoucher.

        yeah they should decline the codes instead of allowing sale and finalizing payment, oh well time will tell. I'll update either way

      This doesn't sound right, the $800 trade in is advertised with the evoucher and the loyalty code is supposed to work with trade in. It literally asks you to spend the voucher when you add to cart.

  • also if anyone gets the error with the trade in when trying to apply your code, switch to the online trade-in from the instore and enter your credit card details. This worked fine for me. I had to delete the app and reinstall it, to start and start from the begging to get mine to work.

      You can just open app info and delete data rather than uninstall and reinstall.

    Once you applied the trade-in ID, it automatically do an authorisation charge to your credit card, even though you haven't completed the check, this system sucks, it now charges me twice, since I forgot to activate Shopback, and I did it, and twice it charges me.

  • S23 ultra 512gb is costing $1167 after all discounts. I traded galaxy buds of $1 value. Watch 5 44mm coming up as $184.7. Is it a good deal?

        • if it gets cancelled lmk, a few orders have been getting cancelled and according to Samsung Loyalty you can't claim the $250 eVoucher and $50 newsletter in the same transaction as the 10% loyalty

                @OzGardian: From reading what other commenters have said, it seems it might be the galaxy watch 4 that is causing the cancellation. It has been on off with its stock and has said out of stock previously but will show in stock sometimes as well.

                  @eTomster: Yeah only 2 people with cancelled orders in here so far and both ordered watches, probably those and the buds will cause issues as stock has been fluctuating. I emailed loyalty multiple times about the trade in bonuses being stackable with the 10% voucher and at no point did they say anything about the $250 evoucher not being claimable.
