Same for me, can't see any mention of the $200 cashback.

Possibly to do with the requirement "Hold an active Orange Everyday or request to open one when you apply". Anyone gone through the application as a new member and see the cashback offer?

    • I have an active Orange Everyday account and I don't see anything about $200 cashback….

  • +2

so this is targetted or not how they can tell if i have a friend who shared the code?

  • When uploading documents through the ING app, status remains as 'pending' . Anyone got a work around?

    • +1

Looks like uploading 1 doc at a time works.

  • If i use this card for 5 transactions a month, do I get the max savings rate and free ATM fees?

    • I assume you are talking about this deal?

It specifically says you need Orange Everyday bank account

5.00% p.a. highest variable rate (made up of the standard variable rate and 4.45% p.a. additional variable rate) for customers who also have an Orange Everyday Bank account and do these things each month.

  • I just get a: "we are unable to process your request online" when I try to apply…

  • -4

genuine question, for people with multiple investment properties, when you apply for credit card do you upload all the council, water, body corp, etc for each properties ?

    • My banker in Switzerland normally takes of the paperwork.

  • Moved to Rabo. A bit old fashioned but less hassle.

  • In eligibility faq
"Either hold an active Orange Everyday, or request to open one along with your Orange One Low Rate"

    • +1

Yep, this is so they can transfer the $200 to your orange everyday account

  • Whats the minimum income requirement for a card like this?

    • 36k

    • From memory, $36k and you can't be self-employed

  • Need to be a citizen or a pr holder

  • Can this be activated without having to wait for the physical card to arrive?

    • Interested in knowing this as well! I’m overseas

    • @firestint @lars06 From emails I got after finally being approved:
Credit card: ACTIVATE the card in the app now, and then ACCEPT our credit offer by using the card within 30 days of today.
Everyday: Set a PIN in the app, and then ACTIVATE it by making a deposit into your account.

      • Thanks for checking, so no need to wait for the physical card to activate then.

  • It prolly would have been nice if the income requirement of 36K was stated somewhere in the post itself or in one of the earlier comments, could have saved some ppl unnecessarily opening a new bank account for no reason.

  • +1

    Be aged 18+
Earn $36,000 or more a year
Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand or Australian permanent resident
Have and maintain an Australian residential address
Have a good credit rating and meet our credit lending guidelines
Either hold an active Orange Everyday, or request to open one along with your Orange One Low Rate
    Have PAYG payslips

For those wondering, not eligible on passive income + benefits

  • Still hesitate to apply, it’s not a public offer so no guarantee they will actually pay

    • +1

Yeah I’d a good deal but probs not worth the risk.
I don’t think they’re gonna pay this out for these hundreds of people using this promo code that’s not intended for this use

    • True. I haven’t gone through the process yet but I’m assuming that it doesn’t show the offer during application?

  • -3

Declined because self employed apparently. Those who are not employees don't bother. It's stupid why they don't mention that as part of the eligibility criteria rather than telling me after I applied affecting my credit history.

  • Well despite being above the threshold (slightly) and an employee i was declined regardless so that was a waste of time..

  • +6

I had $100k cash in an ING bank account and they still wouldn't approve a $1000 credit card lol

    • +1

      Same. Pathetic.

  • Declined straight away. Cannot believe my eyes. Thinking of only two reasons (i) asked for a minimum credit $1000, (ii) hold another two cc with other banks with a limit $6000 and a balance under 1000 each

  • +1

I just signed up, how do you know if you will receive or are eligible for the $200?

  • Anyone else getting below error when trying to apply online?

We are unable to process your request. Please call us…

  • I can't find any terms that state the $200 bonus, can anyone definitely point to the actual page showing this? Is this targeted to specific individuals? I'm a current ING (everyday + savings) user and don't see anything about a "Family200" code in my email.

  • I signed up and it says pending, but i don't have an active orange every day account? (new account/sign up)

Do i still get the $200 sign up bonus?

  • I have my home loan with ING. I don't have any credit card with ING. Can someone please confirm if I'm eligible for this $200 bonus?

  • Can anyone confirm getting the cashback please? Thanks!

    • +1

Yes, i got it last year. I wrote a polite email to ING customer support and they have deposited it. It was $150 last year.

  • +1

Can someone please share the 200$ bonus ad showing the promo code?

  • +1

Got approved for $1000 credit in roughly 3 days. I was asked to upload payslips to confirm the employment and salary.

  • I'm applying for this as a replacement for the Latitude 28 Degrees MC no-fx fee card that I plan to close once the Hack incident becomes clearer.

  • Family member I am helping is with ING Already but needs a credit card for travel with hotels etc, but they are retired. I notice it is only open to people who earn over $36,000 a year, and not open to people who are self employed. Does that mean you must have income from a job or can you prove it other ways? They have plenty of money fully accessible, over 300k, but seems this is going to be an issue for them.

    • You have to upload payslips as part of the application so I don't think your friend will find a way around it

  • -1

I phoned the ing, was told it's target deal. So if you receive.the email, then you can apply, if not, don't need to waste time

    • +1

Eh, can easily just say a ‘friend’ shared it with you (which as the email T&Cs seem valid).

    • +1

If you receive the email then you are the friend or referrers whoch has the card already… if you are new you will not receive any email

  • Where to put in the code "Family200"?

    • At the bottom after you enter your personal details,
under the section "Review & next steps"
there's a box for "Promotional code (optional)"
just before you hit the "View the Privacy Statement" button.

  • Has anyone who used the Promo Code and made the 5 eligible transactions successfully been credited the $200?

    • The bonus $200 will be deposited 60 days after the 5th eligible transaction is made on the credit card

  • +17

I've spoken to someone at ING.

    • 'Family200' is a recognised promotion code
    • Assuming code was entered into the application form, the bonus $200 will be deposited 60 days after the 5th eligible transaction made on the credit card
    • Difficult for them to verify whether one's application contained the code on their screens, apparently that's hidden somewhere in the backend.

So in summary - yes the offer exists and is valid. Assuming all goes well, bonus should happen automatically 60 days after 5th eligible transaction

    • Thanks moocher.. very helpful info above. Appreciated

    • Sensational, thank you. My card has arrived and I activated this evening

    • I've received the $200 credit in my ING account now.

  • I just applied, I was declined last year because I put casual and they said you need to be full time but I only stay as casual full time because of the extra money and I don't get sick and I don't like taking sickies to get the benefits of full time.

  • TY

  • would casual income for last 5 months only be approved?

  • Declined instantly, unfortunately.

Already have a 15k ANZ + 6k HSBC, maybe that's why? I only asked for a 3k limit, and income should be high enough 🤷

    • +2

Banks are like wives. They think your income is never enough….

    • +1

Its strange isn't it. I was sure I would be declined as I have never had any credit but after 3 weeks of them keep asking for me to give them payslips and stuff that they have already had several times they approved me!
My guess is either they think you have too much credit to be a risk to them, or that they can see you don't use your current credit and pay it off every month so they don't want you as a customer as they know they won't get any interest fees out of you!

      • +1

Banks can see our credits with other bank, they ask for last balance of our other cards, but they cant see what happen month to month.if can thats huge breach of privacy

        • +1

OK maybe I'm wrong. I thought that our credit files - which they check - do show the balance every month.
But even if they don't then I guess if you say you have 2 other credit cards and the balance is currently $0 then they still know they won't get any interest payments from you!

  • Can someone confirm whether split payment of 5x1c at woolies/coles will satisfy the requirements for this offer as long as before 230th April 2023?

    • -1

Some people say that April is one of the longest months, but didn't know it had 230 days :P

      • Thanks for your helpful reply

  • After a lot of back and forth, ING have just said the account needed to be approved by 16 March to qualify and I note this post was made on 16 March. Pretty hard.
Anyone successful? By which I mean you have received cash!?

    • It hasn't been 60 days since the deal began so I doubt anyone would have received the cash. However, if true regarding the approval date that is pretty bs.

    • 16 March? Definitely not. I’m sure it was before 30 April

      • March 16 approval. 30 April for the transactions once approved.

        • Nope "and get $200 cashback when you are approved and make 5 transactions by the 30 April 2023"

    • +1

The link in the email is: https://campaigns.ing.com.au/orange-one-credit-card/bonus
      No mention of 16th March?

  • I received email saying "You've qualified for the $100 cashback bonus on your Orange One Low Rate credit card. We'll pop the $100 into your Orange Everyday account within 60 days. " Humm, why $100 only? Has anyone received this email? Have I forgotten to enter the code "Family200"?

  • Is anyone having success?

  • They are hopeless can’t even activate the caed

  • Slightly off topic but not worth a new thread:

Are you ING account holders being AGGRESSIVELY HOUNDED by ING to update your details?

    Like re-submit your ID confirmation/details.
Pointless really. Unless they think I am dead and the hackers are using my account.

Or unless … Mmmmm … or unless they have lost access to all details? As in that the bad guys encrypted everything and are asking for money?

Any similar for any of you ING family?

  • -1

wow i got targetted. just got an email

    Hi xxx,
We think you deserve a bonus $200. That's why we are inviting you to apply for an exclusive offer that will get you just that. All you have to do is apply and be approved for an Orange One Low Rate credit card, plus make 5 eligible transactions with your new card by 31 May 2023. Then we'll pop $200 into your Orange Everyday account within 60 days.
When it comes to a value packed credit card, Orange One Low Rate has you covered. With no annual fee, a low interest rate and no ING international transactions fees for eligible customers (hello global online shopping!) the value keeps piling up.
So whatever you've got on the cards, Orange One can help you get there.

  • +2

    Got confirmation from ING:

    Hi Jack,

    Thank you for your message.
Funds should reach your Orange Everyday account approximately 60 days after the 5th transaction was done.
You'll see this as 'misc credit'

  • I received an Email saying I have $7000 credit (going to get the platinum card) on Thursday, just waiting for the card to come so I can make the transactions before the end of the month. Last time I was denied because they said they were not offering credit to people who worked casual but this time they approved, I was upset that I spent the time but was denied but now I finally am going to get the $200 off them.

  • I got an email saying that is only $100

"You've qualified for the $100 cashback bonus on your Orange One Low Rate credit card. We'll pop the $100 into your Orange Everyday account within 60 days."

    • -2

At this stage, based on others saying they've been told the offer closed before it started, I'd personally take $100 because I qualified for it weeks ago and haven't had any email yet so am suspecting I'll never get anything! Will probably just close them if they don't pay.

  • mine has different exp date

    1. Apply for an Orange One Low Rate credit card by logging into ing.com.au or using the ING app.
2.Once approved, make 5 eligible purchases with your new Orange One Low Rate card by 31 May 2023.
    2. Then it's simple, we'll pop that bonus $200 into your Orange Everyday account within 60 days.
  • That $200 bonus is all yours

Just got the above email - thanks, OP. I did 5x1c transactions at a supermarket.

    • Me too. Thanks @ashOz

  • Has anybody gotten the actual cash?

  • Successfully received my $200 bonus this morning. Immediately spent it on the Jetstar sale. A good start to the day.

    • When did you sign up and when did you complete the 5 transactions?

      • +1

Signed up whenever this deal was posted on OzB, card received and activated on 28/3. Completed the five transactions in the first few days of April.

        • +1

Same as me, similar timeline. Credit goes into the transactions account and not the CC. Not bad for a bit of admin

    • +1

Me too. Received the $200 bonus this morning. Signed up mid March, completed all requirements before April.

  • lol got declined
