          • @Whatisthatvelvet: So did you also have the picture lagging issue when watching sports and it got better after tweaking the settings?

            • +1

@ako: Nah. I didn't get any lagging issues at all. I mainly watch sports (Kayo) aswell. But I usually use my Nvidia Shield Pro for streaming. The native apps are also no issue

              • @Whatisthatvelvet: Its noticable on fast paced i was watching the action scene from endgame and by default dolby vision is on (picture is amazing but that gets ruined by the motion jutter..

Had to disable dolby vision so i can turn off motion blur

                • @digitalerr0r: Dolby Vision is probably set to IQ by default so you cant adjust many settings. If you change to Dark or Bright you will be able to adjust more settings, including the motion blur, and still keep Dolby Vision on

  • Does anyone own the TCL 75" C735? if so is it any good.

    • +2

Bought one from TGG recently. Overall great TV given the price point - google TV, mini LED and huge size.

Motion smoothing must be turned off for my case. Noticed missing frames or jittering due to that. Possibly an inherent problem with VA panels. Contrast is great, respectable blacks, better than normal QLED TV. Cant notice blooming. Not as amazing as OLED but for this price point, cant complain. Beware of its power consumption… alot higher than other LED TVs. Not a dealbreaker for me as I am using TV mostly during daytime with solar panels.

      • +1

        C735 = miniLED

        you sure?

        • +1

C835 in the miniLED model. C725 is QLED.

          • +1

            @boxall: i know…

that is why I ask if they are sure since they reply to the c735 comment

  • +1

are these good to game on PS5 Fifa 23 and NBA2k23?

  • Spare a perk code please?
    Many thanks

  • What is this VRR 144Hz? Does that mean i can provide 144Hz input and it will display it, or is it doing motion interpolation on lower refresh rate signals?

    • +1

It’s real 144hz. I think it’s limited to PC on only one of the hdmi ports, possibly only with certain graphics cards.

Xbox at 4K 120hz works fine though.

  • Ozb group. Pls can I have a perks code if anyone got a spare. Tia.

  • Any thoughts of getting this one or wait for next year's models? Are they that much better?

  • +2

I’ve bought a 65” one last week for $1350 and I couldn’t be happier, the picture is a lot brighter and the colours are much more vivid then my previous one.
The picture also looks a lot smoother with the higher refresh rate.
I haven’t tested any 120fps 4K games on the Xbox or PlayStation yet, though. Zelda is taking all my time 🤣

  • Would this be a massive upgrade from something like a Hisense 65N7 in terms of picture quality?

    • +1

i had a 55n7. massive upgrade lol the n7 is edgelit and has terrible black levels. also isnt very bright and not that good for HDR content. i gave mine away to a family member. i saw the c835 in store yesterday, looks extremely impressive for the price. im buying this now, upgrading from my current Hisense 75Q8 which was pretty good, but its limited to 60hz unlike the c835 which can do 144hz !! so yes, massive upgrade from the n7 model :)

      • Thanks. I'm looking forward to the purchase :)

  • +1

Thanks OP got one! I had been waiting for Samsung QN90B for around 2.5k, but Samsung online is absolutely shit show atm, this is even better value.

Paid $1,495 total for 75inch (including delivery of $59)

  • If anyone has a code to share I'd greatly appreciate it!

    • Sign up to Perks is free, and they email the code straight away (2 emails - 10% off & $10 coupon)

  • still cant decide 65" c835 or 75" c735 same price, 10" diff and better tech

    • +2

      c835

      beautiful tv

    • Go for 65” C385 it has better tech ,the more you think it will be gone by then ..do it ozbargainers way..buy now think later ..ha ha

    • Definitely C835.

  • +1

Bought a week ago. Watching sport is awful in this tv.

    • Why? Have you tried playing with the settings?

    • interested to hear more

    • +1

Got mine last week as well, haven`t had a problem watching the footy over the weekend.
It looks beautiful on 4K actually.

      • What's the size of your tv?

        • Mine is the 65"

          • +1

@IgorRullez: Probably people are experiencing in bigger screen. Mine is 75 inch.

    • Have a play with the motion settings?

  • How many dimming zones this TV has? The technology is getting a bit confusing these days, hard to tell the difference. I am guessing this TV is not in the same league as Samsung for LG.

    • +2

It depends on what you compare it with, if you compare it with standard LED or QLED, this is better.
If you compare it with the OLED models, LG and Samsung is better.

  • I got this one Samsung 65" BU8000 Crystal LED UHD 4K Smart TV [2022]

now I’m wishing had got this one posted on here.

    • why? i was looking at that too

      • Mini LED is better than conventional LED TVs, more brighter and contrast.

  • +1

omg many bad reviews from previous thread
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/770880

    • Yep worried me. May wait for the C845 with the newer processor. Yes will be more $$$$.

    • the new firmware is supposed to have helped most of the issues. will be testing it out tomorrow so we'll see but the price and quality of the screen its hard to past this lol

  • Um, I joined perks, but only got $10 not 10%, have I missed something?

    • thats the standard perk $10 this is special. 10% both are valid, but maybe cant stack
      should come in different email

  • +1

just ordered the 75" model :D i've had my eye on this for months and its good from what i've seen in person. $1495 with delivery and it comes tomorrow !! super keen, replacing my hisense 75Q8 which was good but limited to 60hz. will be testing the c835 out with my pc with a 3080 GPU :) finally can see what 120fps and above is all about lol

  • Hello everyone, I was looking to buy a TV, and everyone says its really good, does anyone have a spare code, or the code that they wont be using. I would really appreciate if anyone could share the code to me. Thank you.

    • Will DM you my code
      *I am a generous god

Hmm…. "User Myrealname does not accept new conversations."

Gonna post it in the code giveaway megathread - hope you get it

Have a TCL, it's rubbish. Spend the extra cash and pay for a manufacturer who knows how to make decent TV's including software/firmware updates.
Maybe the newer models are better though but I've sworn off TCL.
TCL TV's are just bug riddled mess.

  • I was tempted to get the 75 inch model but seen it and it’s huge so not really set up for this size yet.
65 inch is not really available for me but 55 inch is and with 10% extra code the 55 inch would be 860 I do prefer bigger tvs but this might do for bedroom but expensive bedroom tv.
I already have the Samsung bu8000 being delivered tomorrow which cost me delivered $950 approx

  • anyone think the extra 2 years warranty is necessary ? $119.60

  • Ok I have a code who wants it? First to reply

    • Pm me please

      • Yeh no worries mate

  • If someone has a code and doesn't plan on using it, can you please PM me?

  • How much longer will this model be around before it’s all c845 for a higher price ?

    • I believe this will the last wave of the C835. They will only stock the C845 moving forwards. It will still be supported, just not sold anymore since there is a replacement model out already. Like how the C845 will probably get replaced by the C855 the following year.

  • +1

Been keeping an eye out for this over the last few deals. Bit the bullet for the 65". Seems only the warehouse has stock in Victoria, getting it delivered to my local and will pickup from there. Used discounted gift cards for an additional 10% off.

Still waiting on a deal for a 77" OLED!

  • +1

Pulled the trigger on the 75", just hope it doesn't have all those lag issues.

    • PM me

  • I’m just curious why title or description on this thread says it’s qled it just says led on details for the tv. I’m not very clued up on the differences but I’m sure qled is better than led?

  • Looks like there's little stock of the 65" for pickup in SEQ, needs to be delivered, estimated to June 27th.

    • And now unavailable for delivery, so only options are Toowomba or Hervey Bay.

  • Thanks OP, I've successfully acquired the TV of my dreams! Now I'm on the hunt for a fantastic deal on a 75" tempered glass screen protector.

    • +2

A giant sheet of glossy reflective glass in front of your screen ? That would just completely ruin it 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • You know that this is not a touch screen tv and won't be a replacement to your tablet?

  • Can any one share the code pls . Thanks

    • 9288A8ZL8GJS4U

      • 92A4IC3URF7IXJ

  • Is it just me, but seems the energy rating is a little bit concerning

  • Pulled the trigger on the 75 inch had there still been a 65 inch would have gone for that.

I first purchased the Samsung bu8000 65inch and they went for the tcl 75c835

What are you guys using to put the 75 inch on or do you hang on wall?
Me having purchased the 75 inch I now need something more suitable as what I have it not suitable for this tv,what weight is this also.

  • Just got the TCL 65” TV delivered this Morning got told to not open the tv and keep it in upright position for 24 hours. Ha ha , no patience so will be unboxing in next few hour.

    • What. I've never heard of that

    • huh maybe they put something else inside the box. quick peek a bit !

    • +1

Are you sure that they delivered a TV? Usually they say like that while delivering Fridge 😃

      • the delivery guys must be drunk, he must be thinking wow new tech, thin fridge!

      • By the looks of it yeah, won’t know until I open it though ..ha ha

    • My delivery driver just asked if I live alone which was worrisome

      • Someone must be getting lucky tonight , jokes apart you should have said “I wouldn’t be buying a big TV I was living alone.

        • +1

I wouldn’t be buying a big TV I was NOT living alone… or

im married thats why i am buying big TV to entertain myself and get some peaceful time.

  • I feel like a must is to disable motion blur

  • bough

Please note: It's not possible to change colour or model of the item on this order, a request to cancel would be required and new order placed.

Please respond if you are happy to wait for the item to arrive, or if you prefer to cancel.

  • Thanks OP , placed order. And random series of events and a drive to a JB hifi 2 hours away later, ended up with a 55” Sony A80J for the same price. Very happy.

    • But isn't 55" a smaller tv? JB only had the 65" or 75" for the TCL

      • Yeh exactly. I jumped at the chance to take 55” OLED over 65” QLED.

But that’s just me I guess, would you have done the same? What’s the ideal TV for you?

        • +1

Well for me, after owning 55 for 7 years, i will pick 65 or 75. Once you go big you can stay.

        • Yeah I would hv gone for bigger coz it's a more immersive experience. Also why I got the 65" TCL for the bedroom and waiting on a deal on a 77" OLED for the living room.

          • @JaeTee: nice work guys , its awesome that TVs are so cheap that you can pick up mini led 65s for about 1k now

@ChiMot what tv do you have now?

how much you hoping to get a 77" OLED for? @JaeTee

            • @yahms: i have old LG 55, just FHD, for maybe 8 -10 years old now, never have issues.
              77 is less common, usually 75 ?
well not sure now i think our tv - sofa distance isnt enough for 75, so will likely get 65 (quite sad.. as 55 to 65, not that much diff in real estate), but what can we do). hoping around $1000 for 65. i dont care quality but most important thing is last for long time, cant afford a break after 3-4 years. definitely dont have $ for OLED but i dont want those crap tv from bigw.

  • I received my TV. When watching HDR content, the screen flickers.
It only happens with HDR content. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    • Can I ask is this for the 65" or 75"?

      • +1

I've got the 65". I've tested it further and the flickering screen issue only happens when playing local content with the native media player. It doesn't happen when watching HDR content on YouTube

        • +1

I did some more testing on this and figured out that the problem only occurs for HDR content from a specific source. I tried playing different HDR content and the screen flickering wasn't happening.

The flickering happens when I play content with "2160P UHD x265 10bit HDR TrueHD". I believe it's a very specific issue and shouldn't be a problem with the TV.

Overall, I'm really happy with the TV. The colors and picture quality are amazing.

  • +2

Picked up my 65" yesterday afternoon. Absolutely no regrets and a massive step up from our old FHD TV. 4K sports through a Foxtel box is gorgeous. The OS is pretty fast and snappy. Google TV is just such a great ecosystem. No dramas yet, but still playing around with picture levels to get it perfect.
