Spriggy - Increased Referral Benefit ($40 Each for Referrer and Referee)

13924

Free money! Increased referral bonus is live for June. Use the OzBargain referral randomiser below to sign up.

Spriggy is some financial app for parents/kids that gives them a physical prepaid Visa card so they can spend all your money. Love it or hate it, they're giving you $40 to try it.

Sign up, get a physical card, top it up ($10 min) and make a purchase on it to get the referral bonus.

They don't perform any form of KYC on your kids (obviously) so you know, you don't have to miss out if you don't have kids.

From the terms and conditions:

June 2023 promotion. Notwithstanding the immediately preceding paragraph, if the Eligibility Criteria is met between 1 June 2023 and 30 June 2023 (inclusive), for each Referred Member, you will receive $40 (rather than $20) paid into your Parent Wallet (or if the referrer is a Child, into your Prepaid Card). Each Referred Member will also receive $40 (rather than $20) paid into their Parent Wallet.

Spriggy is not a free service.

Mod 5/6 4pm: Referrals have been changed to PM only, as Spriggy does not allow sharing on deal sites, see comments. Please PM your friend on OzBargain to ask for a referral code.

          • @bobwokeup: can't figure it out…

            • @MrBillions: Damn, try raising it with admin here?

              • +1

                @bobwokeup: @scotty can you help?
If they don't honor it I'm going to cancel. They can't run these kind of offers and then make up stuff.

                • @MrBillions: Didn't the system send a private message on your behalf, so that you can negotiate with the person that sent you the referral info? The referrer is randomly picked and we do not actually record those information on our end.

                  • @scotty: Thanks but I just checked my messages and there is no spriggy reference. The spriggy team insists they want the referrer name and phone number.
Very unusual request and not happy with that process.

                  • @scotty: I believe it’s because he signed up before the change to PMs so it was a random referral link.

                    • @bobwokeup: In that case it's even more unlikely that we'll keep any record.

                      • @scotty: Thought that might be the case, I’m in a habit of saving the random link for situations like this. If we do provide the link are you able to help direct us to the member?

                        • @bobwokeup: Whether we can — possible, provided that the link in our db is still correct.

However it's not a service that we want to provide. If a service provider started asking questions regarding about referrers then I don't think our randomised system is suitable anymore as the sun was to provide anonymity. We can change it to randomised PM so the communication would stay between the referrer and the referee, but we don't want to be the one doing the reverse lookup.

                          • @scotty: Yeah fair enough. I guess that’s always going to be a possibility with randomised referrals. I also missed out on the Spriggy referrals due to that but you will some you lose some I guess. It’s just how Spriggy handled themselves that really got to me and a lot of the community.

                            • @bobwokeup: Yes spriggy should not be promoted here anymore.

                              • @MrBillions: Agreed, especially when it’s meant to be for the kids. If it was for me personally then fine I’ll cop it but when it’s a product for kids that’s what really gets me.

  • Does anybody still have the initial referral T&C?

  • anyone here genuinely still want to sign up to Spriggy? I would love to get the $20 referral bonus, would help in anyway I can, form a new friend etc lol

I always have the drive to succeed in everything, I don't like giving up or admitting defeat :)

even just one referral, would be worth all the hassle for me
