  • Be aware that if you're planning to churn to another bank for points or what have you later, these cards don't have a BPay or BSB/Acct number linked, so it can be a nightmare to try and balance transfer - currently dealing with this issue at the moment.

    • Why didn't you just use the cashback as normal spending then close it? I would just buy giftcard or pay into utilities.

      • In my case, I was a previous customer and had the card that I was actively using until I decided to switch to a QFF card.

  • Is this worth a quick churn? Do they have other bonuses that might be worth waiting for?

  • Applied for the Credit Card on the 24 August (had to do it before 30 Aug for this 'deal' ($200 back on $500 spend).

and I've heard NOTHING back since…. 'application in progress'….

how long does this take ???

  • how do we know if the bonus promo has been applied? Is spending and wait for the cashback the only way?

  • got rejected for a cc with $1k limit… im with ing for 10 years and they can see my saving there way more than 1k
    oh well life is hard

    • -1

Probally choose a higher limit next time

    • -2

      Couple things.

I never apply for a credit card the day that it is posted on ozb. It screams credit card churner.

You applied for the $1k limit. The bank will suspect that you did that just to get the bonus. Not much chance that your little $1k credit card is going to earn them anything, ESPECIALLY if you have money sitting in a savings account with them and they can see that you would likely never pay them any interest.

Next time, try to make it seem a little less like a churn and burn.

This, coming from a chronic churner. I do sometimes get declined as well, but it's about 5% of the time.

        Fake news.

        • What's fake news?

  • Hi, Is this offer available only for those who receive an email from ing? I am ing member but I haven't received any email about this cashback.

    • I asked the same question and seems you can just add a code.

  • How do I check if this offer is still available? I can't see any mention of it on their websites or other articles about it!

    • Yes, it's strange that they pulled that off. May be they found too much traffic from Ozbargain?

      • ING are useless.
Same as the refer someone to the orange everyday and get $100 - they specifically mention Ozbargain as being evil ;)

  • I've been approved for this one and used the promo code but no mention of the $200 bonus in any of the communications from ING. Is this the same for everyone else?

    • I guess we just have to wait and see.

  • +1

Conditionally approved and then declined, presumably they thought I was only in it for a free $200. Oh well, they weren't wrong.

  • Got approved… not clear if I'll get the $200

  • I don't get my pay into my ING account.
Will they ask me for the last 3 months worth of payslips for such a puny limit?

Also, the application form is just coming back with an error. Nice!

    • +2

I don't either so they requested last 2 payslips or last 3 months bank statements, I gave them last 2 payslips.

Also, they asked for visa documents (gave them myVevo as PR) and got approved in 4 business days.

Planning to keep this one for the long haul since it has zero fees.

      • Thanks for sharing this info. Helps a lot.

  • Thanks OP, I got approved and received the card today. Not clear whether am gonna get the bonus or not yet (not mentioned anywhere after I entered the promo in the application), wait and see I guess.

Keeping this one for the long haul since it has zero fees. Will keep utilisation less than 30% and build my credit score :)

  • I applied for the minimum $1000 limit at the beginning of the week. Was provisionally approved, got asked to supply 2 recent pay slips which I did the same day. Since then nothing. It stills says conditionally approved subject to verification.

  • Declined😢 No $200 Bonus (as expected😉)

Been with ING almost since their Savings Maximiser started over a decade ago - with balance of $100k.

Income: too hard to prove I meet min $36K, as self funded Retiree (since my 30's). Previously had my own corporate consultancy.
Have been mainly travelling overseas (cheap) since.
Experian reports I "have an exceptional credit history"😄

Asked for a $2k limit. But… have 2 other CC, (total $10k limit), with only $500 owing.
Had reduced previous limit from $20k, but no bank has agreed to provide CC in years.

I just don't earn / spend enough for any bank to be interested in offering a CC. Where's the profit in that (for the risk).
Or really require another CC. Was only interested in the $200!

But BNPL always say yes to me!
$50 back for $400 spend with StepPay

  • To be eligible to apply for Orange One Low Rate, you need to:

    Be aged 18+
Earn $36,000 or more a year
Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand or Australian permanent resident
Have and maintain an Australian residential address
Have a good credit rating and meet our credit lending guidelines
Either hold an active Orange Everyday, or request to open one along with your Orange One Low Rate
    Have PAYG payslips

Note: Orange One Low Rate is currently not available to Self-employed applicants.

  • So I applied to the credit card and then messaged ING to ask about the offer. Turns out the code was only available for applications approved before May so this deal never seemed to be valid when it was posted. Should have noticed something was weird when the page didn't mention any codes. A little peeved that I missed my chance for a cashback with ING but I'm okay with a no annual fee credit card.

  • Just signed up for an ING bank account with a referral and then for a ING credit card for the bonus. Hoping for $300 value all up.
Can anyone else confirm that this Bonus200 code is not working for credit applications?

  • +1

Just spoke to them today and the offer is invite only by email. Will be cancelling my card, don't need it, just did it for the bonus. For those who got declined, up your limit to 5k in future and you will be okay. I got approved within a week.

  • I believe this is a targeted deal. Email invite only. There is no information about this deal online.

    • +2

Just spoke with ING after applying and getting approved. They said there's no information on my file regarding this promo (I wasn't targetted). I can't find any details online either to back myself up (didn't want to mention OzBargain obviously).

I concur in that it is likely a targetted deal for the OP, or expired historical deal. The origins and details of this promo is unclear.

At least there is no annual fees associated with the card, so I'll be closing it but the downside is impact to credit rating and not being eligible for a genuine ING promo for the next 18 months.

I recommend people do not apply for this deal based on my assessment.

  • It’s said no international fee and rebate internstional withdrawal. is this mean the same with the previous orange everyday?

Their card used to be able to used it internationally without any charge and using visa exchange rate.

  • Ozbargain moderators have refused to mark this deal as expired despite the claims that the deal doesn't exist outside of people that received a marketing email.

    • +1

I just realised this, i did not find any way can put that promo code

  • +1

Fake post, no bonus $200 will be appeared in your account. Will not activate this card.

    • I just received the bonus without being targeted for it, so it is worth activating.

  • I called and they clearly have crappy systems. They talk as if I am eligible and give me dates for me to get cashback. And only when I push to see if this is a targeted promotion do they confirm that it is.

    Waste of time.

  • asking on behalf of a friend
is there any minimum transaction amount? my friend spent 60 cents in total for 5 transactions, will it count ?

  • Strangely, I spoke to someone over the phone and they told me as long as I entered the promo code then I would receive the bonus. I took screenshots at the time of the application so I have something to back myself up, so we'll see …

    • +1

The person you spoke to is just dumb.

  • -1

This one has the label 'targeted'. Can I enter the Bonus200 code even if I don't have a referral link? Or do I need one from someone?

    • You could try it, and let us know if you get the bonus. :-)

  • I do not see option for putting promo code, which page has the option to put the promo code

  • why the criteria i got is " spend $500 within the first 90 days."?

    Anyone on the same boat?

  • +1

    No bonus for me yet

    • +1

I just received my bonus confirmation email today.

This is despite not being targeted or sent any email to sign up for this card, I just applied cold and entered the bonus code.

This makes me believe that this deal was not in fact targeted, although for anyone who hasn't already signed up it's probably too late.

But if you did sign up, got the card, but gave up because you thought it was targeted, there's still a chance to get your 5 transactions in!

      • +1

Same here, I received the bonus confirmation email today too. I didn't receive it as a targeted offer either, I applied after seeing the code posted here.

      • I wasn't targeted and signed up with the code.
        Done 5 transactions last month.
        No confirmation email yet.

      • Same, received email confirmation roughly a month after making 5 tiny transactions. Happy with the result but no loss if I didn't get the bonus.

  • How soon after you card activation, do you get your cashback. I've activated my card on 2 Oct, and have been using it more than 5 times, but I'm still not seeing any cashback?
    Combank took about 10 days..

    • +1

ING isn't Commbank. For me the email confirmation was roughly a month after making 5 transactions, and states:-

We'll pop the $200 into your Orange Everyday account within 60 days.

  • Anyone got their cashback yet?
Opened my account back in mid Sep-23, done my 5 transactions and paid the first statement. Still no $200 yet :/

    • Same date! I have not as yet

      • Neither, I sent a message and got an automated response back.

        • +1

They paid me today after I opened up a case file.

    • applied since September, raised a query mid Nov after 2nd statement paid. Was advised will be paid before end of December

However, I received the $200 last day of November.

  • update: finish 5 transaction around Oct 15, recieved email today said 200 is on the way within 60 days

  • I got the $200 yesterday :)

  • Also got $200 paid yesterday. Waiting to see if the $100 from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/794181 gets paid out as well.

  • +1

Got my $200 today after meeting the criteria on 16/09.

    • +1

      Also received mine today.

    • I received mine on 29 November as well :)

  • Got mine today. Did the 5 transactions mid Sep

  • +2

I was not targeted for this offer, but managed to go through the customer support process, follow up 3 or 4 times and get $200 cashback as a goodwill payment today. I was honest about not receiving the targeted email when asked, but played a little dumb and said I found the code 'online' since before I sign up for things I always search for coupons, and the code worked when typed in. I wasn't pushy about it at all either - would have accepted "no" if that was the answer they gave, but they were happy to pass along the info to the team that handles these promos and they approved it.

Definitely not worth the hassle if not targeted but that wasn't clear/established when this ING offer was posted.

Hope this info helps someone out there
