just got my laptop from these guys today was absolutely filthy and the main button on the mousepad is broken but it still somewhat works. I got mine for $233 and is a 2 in 1 touch screen dell

hahah like what I said, I bought one of these crap in the past, and they will never fool me again. Refurb? No way, these are only heavily used ones, they don't do proper cleaning most of time.

      • That's pre-COVID, refurb are mostly in good condition after that, I wonder why!

i got their last surface deal with keyboard, was surprised to see the quality, like near new.

    • +1

The why don't you neg the deal?

      Got to watch out

There is “used” which is B grade (doesn’t actually say on listing but on their website)

Very good is their A grade. Even then it can be a lottery because battery can be 80%

      I got a decent 7390 not 2 in 1 last year

  • Oh man .. not again..

Yeah the last bneacttrader deal did NOT go well in the end.

        Some comments
"Hah, left negative feedback and what do you know, got a similar message: “ Thanks for reaching out and we are sorry to hear.
These items are not advertised as refurbished.
However we note that you have left us negative feedback without letting us address your issue or be able to assist.
We would be more than happy to organise replacement machines if you wish to remove you negative feedback first, alternativly you can open a return request through eBay for the devices to be refunded.”

I've bought optiplexes and videocards from this seller and they were great. Did not have the courage to buy a B-grade laptop and after reading some of the comments I think I made the right choice.

    • Same. The Optiplex 7060 I bought was great.

I would not touch any laptop (in particular ThinkPad) w/o built-in sim card slot and WWAN card installed. Even 20 years old ThinkPads come with these.

Cool story. Not sure why you actually need this feature in the world of WiFi hotspot being freely available on everyone's phone.

People boo hoping the deal, why are there no negs yet?

  • Second hand/used item.

  • Does the T480S have dual batteries (one of them being removable/external) or is that just the T480 (non-S)?

      Best check Lenovo original specs

I have a t480s and it has a single battery

Thanks. I recall there were a couple of differences (other one is lack of an ethernet port). Battery is a big one though.

The Lenovo T480s has 1 SODIMM slot and either 4GB or 8GB of soldered RAM.
Could you please specify which variant such machines are?
A T480s with 8GB of RAM could be either a 4GB soldered RAM model with a 4GB SODIMM installed or the 8GB soldered RAM model with an empty SODIMM slot.
The latter model with more builtin memory has greater capacity to be upgraded and so is more desirable.

Or is this a situation where due to the realities of ex-lease supply and inventory you just have a big pile of them that could be either and you would need to go look and see if you can find one if someone asked?

  • Is there a webcam and mic on these? I can see one in the photo above the screen but can’t find mention in specs.
