Where did you bring it to?

      • +1

        To their bud

      • -1

        I think its a typo :)

  • Any suggestions on a case with carabiner that works well with these?

  • Anybody tried these with a Samsung S25 Ultra? Any disadvantages vs eg Samsung Earbuds?

  • +1

Thanks OP - hazel on backorder, but worth a shot to get them for $104 after points (no idea why I even have points as a boost customer!)

    • At least there's been another good sale so we know the next discount will come again, if our orders are cancelled due to backorder (which I'm hoping doesn't happen but do expect)

  • thanks put some expiring points to use

  • +2

As someone with the OG pixel bud pros… i've wanted these for a while, purely because of that wing!!! My biggest complaint with the OG's would be they fall out too easy. It was hard for me to justify another set of buds purely for that wing…. but i got it for free with points.

    • So are you saying you like the wing, or the opposite?

      • I think like the wings. To be fair. I've never owned a pair with wings before, but I have wanted to too for a while. My biggest issue with ear buds in general is they always fall out. So i'm hoping this is like the perfect buds for me, with the pixel features + secure fit with the wings.

        • For me I liked the older gen wings, they had a little rubber stick sort or thing that did a great job at keeping them in my ears. Unfortunately for me they changed it on the newer ones and the new style doesn't help me at all, I think it doesn't really reach the edge of my ear. They still fit pretty well but the left one does start to come out over time.

          • @bleeder: Hmmmm.. when you say older you mean those on the A series?
Yeah I saw those wings on these and I did think they were a bit small, but without trying them, I wasn't sure.
I guess I'll find out soon. For me fit and comfort are like super important in ear buds. People talk so much about sq, but I listen to podcasts and take calls like 90% of the time. I just want it to not fall out and be comfortable :)

            • @GuniGuGu: Same as the A series but were an older Pro version, forget the official name. I would have gotten A series but they missed some functionality that I liked.

I'm the same as you, I prefer comfort over sound quality (within reason). I must have a weird shaped left ear canal cause its hard to get anything to stay in there, everything slowly comes out over time, but some buds do stay in place better than others… I think I need decent wings… Anyway these ones (on this post) do a good enough job for me.

    • OG fell out easily, hard to take out from the case to begin with, was using them yesterday for a bit, and dropped it on carpet floor with case closed, the case lid flew open and both my buds fell out lol.

Mine are working fine but wanted these just purely because of likely it stays in better and probably better ANC.

Thanks heaps! I was looking at Galaxy Buds 3 Pro last night on Amazon for $225 after coupons and discounts.
Just ordered this for $104, saved me a lot!

  • Can i return mine bought from telstra?

  • Thanks heaps for sharing

  • Anyone swapped to the 2 from the original? How's the fit?

The fit on the original has always kinda sucked for me.. I hear the new ones are much smaller and more comfortable. The originals still work fine though so I'm struggling to reasonably want to buy this.. I don't use wireless IEMs enough probs to make em worth it..

  • +1

Didn't need a pair but got one. T

    • +1

      Haha same.

      • That's the OzBargain way.

    • Have them already, considering second pair as a backup lol

  • -1

Zz bit the bullet and bought a pair off a scalper last week for $60 more.

    • -1

buy this one and return to the first deal…problem solves

Porcelain back in stock! Thanks OP

    • And in stock. Damn

    • I didn't realise there were colour options. Not sure why having earbuds the same colour as my toilet bowl is a good feature but here we are.

  • Purchased with points, thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP, back ordered. Over my Samsung Buds2 Pro battery issues with one side

  • Ordered, now to see if they ship !

  • Any way to buy without telstra ID?

    • If you've been on boost your login will also work, otherwise find a friend with boost or telstra.

  • Bought..maybe a gift to someone someday lol…$32 bucks meh nothing good to spend at Telstra shop anyway.

  • Thanks OP. Got a few.

    Xmas presents sorted

    • Christmas in July?

  • -2

    Had terrible experience with these.
Out of the box the left earbud would almost never connect and when it did it would drop out just as fast.
Started looking it up and found loss of threads with people all having similar issues. They'd get them replaced and have the same thing happen right away or within a few months.

Decided to just return them and get galaxy buds 3 pro instead. I've never had top of the line earbuds so for me they are a good replacement with no regrets.

    • -2

Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is bad if you're not with Samsung..

  • Are these better or the $199 Airpods Pro 2?

    • Airpods are out of stock atm. I would have ordered them if I had seen them first.

  • Bah, can't remember my telstra password and the reset password isn't sending me an SMS

    • Prob going straight to ur spam in ur messages.

      • +4

That's what I thought, but no, 5 messages finally arrived at once 40 minutes later lol

        Classic Telstra performance

  • Only hazel available for back order now.

  • I just bought the Earfun Air Pro 4s, is this better than that? Eg, should I return them and get these Google ones?

  • +2

Testra suck. They are requiring me to go into the store with my passport and Medicare card, to buy something outright (They already have my licence info) and have locked my account. Great deal, but Telstra needs to sort it shit out. I don't need a passport to buy something on Amazon, so why Telstra (Not to mention, it will prob be leaked online next time they get hacked).

    • +1

I had to submit my license information but it let me do it online for verification

      • Ended up going into the store as Telstra and getting a pair. They still had to take photos of my licence before they would see them. Hope to God it isn't leaked online.

        • You know it will be

    • +4

vicroads introduced these new numbers for security and we still have to put them in to these online stores for them to keep it and leak it…. wtf

      • Just had to send Vodafone my full id a few days ago 🤔
        F##k

      • +1

I think the idea is if when your card info gets leaked again, you won't have to change your drivers licence number, just the card number.

        • Maybe the government should make the card number a one-time use code (digital), that is obtain by calling the service centre or via the app. This would likely make it impossible for someone to use your ID to take out loans etc, as the code wouldn't be reusable.

          • @Froot Loops: Now that we've started with digital licences that could be a possibility in the future. There still needs to be an option for non-techy folks though. Calling a service centre wouldn't really work as no one wants to be on hold for 45 minutes then have the call drop. :)

      • This is my concern. I don't want to go through the hassle of replacing my ID or God forbid dealing with cars and loans taken out in my name by scammers. The government really needs to do more to protect the public.

  • Anyone managed to price match/beat with JB/OW?

    • +2

JB said no. They said policy wont match because it requires active telstra account to access the deal.

  • +5

satans favourite shopping cart….. why tf do they need my license….. fk that

    • Amd its not even working.. saying details not right..

  • Thanks OP, copped a hazel on backorder.
Didn't need but nice to have a backup to my perfectly fine Bose ones.

    • +1

Same here. It's a back up for my Samsung ones, which is a back up for my Denon ones

  • How long does Telestra typically take to process backorders?

  • $57.48 with points thanks OP!

  • +1

Oof, so tempting. For those who have the galaxy buds FE and want a reason to stop buying more buds

    https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/samsung-gala…

    • Thanks was looking for this exact comparison. The FE buds have been great especially as I got them for like $80. Seems the FE buds are hard to beat

  • +1

    How's the mic for calls?

    • Usually works fine as far as I know, but I've had random calls where my wife can't here me at all. Not sure if it's a Pixel phone issue or a problem with these buds. Could never get to work well when connecting to my PC and trying to use for teams meetings. Not sure can recommend…

  • +3

Why the hell do they need my driver's licence number so I can buy some headphones?

Not going to bother jumping through all these hoops. My OG Pixel Buds Pro are still going strong

    • -1

      For delivery driver to verify?

      • +3

Nobody else requires it to buy headphones outright. They don't even have my address in the system, so not going to risk it

  • -3

I asked Grok to compare this and my cheap Anker A40, the latter won 6 out of 7 categories.
Overall Winner: Anker Soundcore Space A40
The Soundcore Space A40 offers exceptional value, outperforming the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in price, comfort, sound customization, battery life, and cross-platform features. Its LDAC support and robust Soundcore app make it a versatile choice for most users, especially those on a budget or seeking hi-res audio.

But I still grab 1 since I still have points on myTelstra.

    • +5

Was grok understanding they are almost the same price in this particular case

  • Trying to buy the $13 eSIM via an app getting a " something went wrong" after completing the verification. Have called Telstra's so-called customer service, but the estimated wait is more than 1 hour.

  • -5

Samsung has rubbish RMA. Took 1.5months to fix my galaxy buds pro with plenty of time wasted going to the store and calls.

The whole communication between Samsung and their 3rd party repair company is pathetic. They don't talk to each other yet claim to be working together. Lots of misinformation.

    • +4

And what does that have to do with this deal?

    • these are google pixel buds pro 2

  • Thanks OP. Have been very happy with my OG pixel buds for a few years with daily use. Picked these up for ~$70 after points. Good to have on hand to replace the OG ones when they eventually get lost or break.

  • +3

This just asked me for 100 points of Id and to go into store to make the purchase.

    • Now the order has been blocked by the 'control group', joys.

  • Had the OG and loved it until it fried itself on a wireless charger. Buds were fine, case was not, JBHIFI just gave me a straight refund.
They don't really strike me as high end, more middle of the range, marketed as high end. Defs not worth the RRP. around $150-$200 is fair.

Happy these came up again after the last deal was ozbargained, even if it is on backorder. Boost pulls through.

  • +1

    Thanks, missed the $99 deal.
Purchased this deal, (Hazel on backorder). Still had a Telstra account, but no current service with them for over 6 months. No issues with ordering.

  • +1

I'm getting below message when I click the check id page for driver licence.

    Something went wrong
We're unable to process the order at this time

When I click Passport id check, there's no Australian Nationality option. Weird!

    • You update your name to include a middle name if your license shows an initial?

      • There's no option to change or include a middle name

        • Sure there is. When you choose license as your ID method, under personal details there is an option to include a middle name.
I had to include mine, as my license shows an initial.

          • @ausduckz: Did you use the full middle name or just the initial?

            • @kotobuki: My license shows only initial, I used full name on during checkout/ID check.

              • @ausduckz: Glad that it worked out for you. I have multiple middle names (sigh), and the driver's license only has the initial of the first middle name. I tried almost all the combos with the Telstra ID verification, but none worked. Saved $113 :D

    • There was a time where we were able to get Telstra acc for free without being a member to claim perks. Now they've removed that. From that, I was unable to make an account, sign up again because it was already linked.

  • OOS!!! Missed it…

    • Black still there

      • Back order, could be waited forever

    • hazel in stock still.
Purchased accidentally without using points. Cancelled and reordered with points. $46!

      • I somehow ordered to the wrong address… If I cancel do you think I'll get my points back

      • How did you cancel. No options visible for me. But I am blind when it comes to these things 😁

        • Chatted with them.

  • I cannot because I'm not with Telstra :((
