If it's not verifying your license that's a user error on your end. Didn't even ask me for a middle name.

  • Would these be an upgrade from the Nothing Ear 3 (2024)?

    • +2

Not really. They're great buds and so are these…but for mic quality the nothing ear 3 and the OnePlus buds pro 3 are better.

  • Is it available in store?

    • Some. I got the last pair at Eastgardens. You can ring around your local stores and ask.

  • Bought one… On back order. Let's see how it long it takes

  • I bought the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with a Jb Hifi gift card I got as part of a promotion, and I am terribly disappointed with them. The ANC is seriously weak when comparing them to either the Sony WF-1000XM5 or the Apple Airpods Pro 2.

I have all 3 and the Pixel buds are my least favourite. Not worth the full price, maybe $113.

    • Each to their own. Some says the WF-1000XM5's ANC is the worst. I'm only buying the Buds because I have the Pixel.

      • That's why I bought the Pixel buds - I thought that they'd go great with my Pixel Pro 9 XL.

Sitting on the train with the Pixel buds I can fully hear conversations of people 6-7 seats away. The ANC is terrible compared to both the Sony and Apple. Just saying…

Give them a go if you really want to. Just trying to save you from the disappointment.

        • I see. I have the Galaxy Earbuds Pro 3 and the battery life is terrible. I hope this better compatibility makes a difference.

          • @PeeDee: Strange, I have the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and find the battery life fine. It lasts quite a while when idling between charges too. Using it with a Samsung phone.

          • +1

@PeeDee: I find that the battery life in the Pixel Buds Pro 2 is great, much better than my Sony XM5's - however I suspect the reason the battery life is so good in the Pixel buds is because the ANC is so weak, so there's nowhere near as much drain on the batteries.

  • Thanks. Now to not lose them like my last two sets of earbuds 😭

    • They promote theirs as being secure because of the rotating feature. Doesn't that help much?

  • This is the latest version right? I have these, tempted to get a second pair as backup at this price as I always lose my earbuds haha

  • +1

    OOS

    • Please find more stock hahaha

  • Seems to be out of stock and can't be backordered now

  • +1

Check in store stock… I got one of the last ones at the Telstra shop… No Telstra I'd required

    • Thanks for this, thought I was too late but just grabbed one in-store. Quick and painless.

    • Yeah I grabbed some from Chadstone store today, no problem at all :)

      • Could points be used instore?

    • Dang, didn't know this was an option.

Got a someone to order one for me. Hopefully it turns up and doesn't take forever

    • Adding on to this bring your ID with you, depends on the store but some may force you to sign up a Telstra account before you can purchase.

Unfortunately for me they were out of stock and surrounding stores were also out of stock. Unfortunately only really keep low inventory of accessories in-store, I guess people could try their luck. They offered to place an order for me or order from a nearby store but no stock and but by that time it was already out of stock online.

Edit: I had tried the Broadway and the Parramatta store in Sydney which were omwh, both out of stock and surrounding stores were out as well. Others might have better luck.

    Noooooooooo I missed farkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    • +2

you had the whoooooole day almost lol

      • I know back to back meetings arghhhh

        • +1

You might get lucky, sale is on until EOM, and its the 3rd, they may get more stock, suggest keeping an eye on it, mine was backorder as well, but shipped now, so that may leave more room for more to come in.

          keep an eye on it.

  • +1

So glad I got my order in despite the back order.

Hoping that it doesn't get cancelled.

  • Predictions on a Telstra ID leak?
    I'm thinking 2026

  • +2

    Order shipped!!! Thx again OP

    • Same, ordered the porcelain to match my pixel, you guys are legend!

  • +4

Ordered when it was on backorder but it has shipped

  • Missed the deal but I wonder why Telstra able to get cheap stock!?

    • Clearing old stock for a new model? Unlikely but why else? EOFY revenue needed I guess

  • Ordered both colours cause i thought the black ones were back order

Meant to cancel it but they told me “takes 24-48 hours before we can cancel a order”.

And now theyre both onboard for delivery…

    • +1

I'm sure someone who missed out will be happy to take one of your hands at cost

    • Happy to buy your unwanted pair mate. Please DM me if you want to do this.

      • There was still some stock in Telstra stores. If closeby, checking them or calling to check stock might be an option? I picked one up from a store, when online showed no stock.

  • Thanks OP. Ordered the hazel on back order yesterday and got notification it is being delivered today!

  • +2

Gotta hand it to Telstra, they've got their logistics sorted.

Both times I've ordered stuff from the store it's arrived the next day.

    • Yep, Hobart next day is almost unheard of. More likely 1-2 weeks to get things from the "big island"/"mainland" :P

  • +2

Picked up a hazel color from fountain gate VIC this morning. Used points. So I would say for people missed our check local stores. Call and check stock, maybe. I just walked in. 10 mins, straight forward.

  • Mine have just been delivered, ordered on back order yesterday, but got here quick enough.

    • Did they require ID on delivery?

      • +1

Postie just left the satchel at the front door.

      • +2

Signature yes, ID no. If it gets redirected to a Post Office then it will require ID.

    • What time did you order yesterday? I put my through around 9am before the post got Ozbargained and haven't received any updates, here's hoping it's not cancelled.

      • Just after hazel went into back order

  • +1

Porcelain is available now. Just bought one.

  • Tried adding to cart but it just shows as out of stock again.

  • Thanks OP! Ordered yesterday on back order and just delivered. So fast!

  • Crazy. Ordered yesterday at around 1pm and already delivered in non metro area

    • Interesting, ordered 9 :20 am , pending for stock? Qld

      • 10am-ish here and still back ordered (hazel colour) so you aren't alone

        • Now 4 weeks lol. Lucky I don't really need it for anything

  • Damn it's not allowing me to add to cart :(

  • Just got mine.

Wow they sound like absolute ass (connected to Pixel 9 Pro). Galaxy Buds FE are infinitely better sound quality wise and cost about the same.

Anyone paying full price for these needs their head examined.

    • Well that's disappointing, hopefully just your strict standards!

  • Mine were on 'backorder' and just arrived too. Signature required.

  • Ordered 1258. "waiting for stock". "your order is pending"

  • Popped into a local store and grabbed some. A fair few in stock too. Thanks OP!

  • Bought one today from Macquarie Centre Telstra Store , they have few in stock. Please check.

  • Porcelain back in stock

  • just got mine delivered.. briefly checked, sounds pretty good, very comfortable (changed to the L ear tips).
got these to replace my sony linkbuds s which developed the recurring wind noise in ANC mode

  • Just received mine. Anyone know where to download the tax invoice? It's not in the email, not on the Telstra website (I don't have active service) and not in the package too

    • +2

go to telstra app and go to payments, gives you an option to download pdf receipt.

    • +1

You should have received an SMS when you ordered, with a link to view the receipt. When you click the link, enter the same account you used to purchase this (with or without an active service) to sign in, then you should be able to download the tax invoice complete with the words "Tax Invoice" at the top and their ABN details etc on it.

  • Porcelain is back in stock, just ordered a pair.

That was an absolute pain in the backside of an order process for something I don't really need, but oh well. I have AirPod Pros which are great, but I figure I can use those across MacBook & iPad and try out the Pixel Buds with my Pixel.

  • For those that received them did you get a text saying they are on the way?

I ordered online yesterday. Not wanting to miss out I was on my way to Telstra to buy some in my lunch break but got a alert for a delivery.

Not sure if it's the headphones or not. The Telstra order just says in progress.

    • Yes

      • Thanks, must be something else. I'll see if I can grab a set in person

Edit: one hazel version left at hay St Perth cbd

  • Its flooding facebook market place as low as $190 dollars

    • +6

people are absolute scum these days, just buying up whatever to re-sell to people to make money. Country has turned to shit with everyone just trying to climb over the others.

      • It's not wrong to make money selling something. But for this example of buying pixel buds pro 2 at $113 & then flipping it at eBay, FB marketplace, scamtree, Ozbargain classifieds. I agree it's kinda getting greedy terrority.

There should be max unit purchase per person or T id holder. That way more people can buy these buds for a fair promo price.

Say the going rate is $190 then minus 113 equals $77 profit?? To get $77 profit margin you would have deal with low ballers, fellow scums, scammers, stealers, weirdos in the buying community. Not worth it unless you can hassle free sell it for that much. Which I doubt.

Just form a community agreement to buy these Telstra sourced Google pixel buds pro 2 at $19.99 for each unit. The seller would have a wonderful time counting his/her negative margin ;)

These are only worth at most $30. The margins are sky high for these kind of accessories.

Google currently doesn't have that premium status in the tech community. Also few months later the successor pixel buds 3 pro will be released hopefully by the end of Aug/Sept 2025.

        • Closer to 50$ profit once fees and shipping is taken into account.

Telstra did limit purchases to a limit of 5 and needed T ID, I don't think this time round there was alot of stock they just allowed backorders.

I honestly think the ones flooding the market is the small handful of people who bought during the previous flash 99$ sale and had no limit. People boasting about buying 20+…

  • Has anyone else had the problem that none of the supplied ear tips actually work? All too small or shallow or something. Luckily I have a collection of tips and found a set of TRI Clarions Large that work well for me. Luckily unlike my Liberty 4 NC I can jury rigged the standard ear tips to the elongated Pixel bud connector.

I would have been disappointed if I was just an "ordinary" consumer and didn't have earbuds "spares" hanging around.

Is it just my weird ears ?

  • +1

Full kudos to Telstra + StarTrack, well under 24h from ordering to being in my hands. I'm also seriously impressed with these headphones that only cost me $70. Great deal!!

  • +1

    Porcelain is back in stock

  • +1

Porcelain colour is back in stock!

  • My order doesn't show anywhere in my Telstra account is that normal or can someone tell me where to find it? I received an email with my order reference number. When I click track my order it goes to My Telstra account but shows nothing about the order.

    • Try the Telstra app, or click on Payments and subsequently on your Telstra service (assuming you have a service with them).

    • It's not intuitive via My Telstra, but appears under "Services" for some reason.

Alternatively, just bash your order number into this page: https://www.ordertracker.telstra.com.au

  • Spent half an hour getting useless Telstra support to cancel my back order for the Hazel colour, so I could order the porcelain colour instead. In that time, my new order changed to back order due to being out of stock!

    • +1

No need to cancel, get both and sell one. You get a free meal.

    • From what I see on this forum, back orders are also being fulfilled.

  • Just ordered a pair. Was sitting on the fence yesterday. Glad I went back and checked the stock. Cheers!

  • +5

Put my order in earlier when the post was made, now got an email saying it could be a 4 week delay 🥲
