[eBay Plus] Nintendo Switch 2 Console $618.80 Delivered @ Kogan eBay

690
JUNEOFY15

Pretty similar to a few deals posted recently, but a bit cheaper than the EBGames listing, and shipping appears to be free this time.

Sold by Kogan, no need to add a battery/similar.

You can use JUNEOFY10 for 10% off if you don't have eBay Plus, but at that point you're better off going with this deal.

Edit: Just saw only 5 are available. So get it quick if you want it.

If/when Kogan eBay runs out of stock, also available from Dick Smith eBay (same owner).

If it's like previous deal, they periodically add more stock.

unless your really desperate to get the new switch 2 i would wait till the OLED comes out going back to a lcd only screen really sucks. Once you go OLED you never go back.

      • +1

In other words, wait 2-3 years for them to release an OLED version so that the 10% of the time you're actually playing this undocked the colours are a bit more vivid? Unless you're desperate…

I really can't wait to see if the same pricing complaints continue when the OLED version drops for $150 more or if that'll finally justify the cost in the eyes of all the detractors, I suspect I know the answer already though

        • +1

the 10% of the time you're actually playing this undocked

How do you know how often they'll play it handheld? Are you a wizard?

          • +1

@PainToad: If only there were a similar device that had been around for a number of years (8 or so should suffice) that you could realistically compare the usage patterns of based on your own experiences and those of people around you who also had such a device…

Might as well change my name to Merlin

            • +1

@AngryAlfred: How do you know how often they played their Switch 1 as a handheld to use as a basis for Switch 2?

Hint you don’t. Many people use their Switch primarily in handheld mode.

              • @PainToad: Well damn, aren't I an idiot for not accounting for every single individual in my obviously hyperbolic statistic used to emphasise the stupidity of the idea of waiting a few years to buy the same device with a slightly better screen at a higher price.

I'll try to do better next time and cite peer reviews. In the meantime, maybe get yourself tested - 90% of people would've got the sarcasm

unlesss its for a kid that plays this 24 7.

      • It's never going OLED. The new screen is fine. The screen on the Switch lite was fine.

        • wanna bet? Nintendo will go OLED that is certain.

          • @kungfuman: Is there any evidence to support this? Or is this speculation based on the Switch 1 OLED being released?

OLED or LED means nothing. The screen on the Switch Lite was fine.

Game design and immersive controls are what differentiate the experience, focusing on Graphics chips or screen tech is marketing nonsense designed for people who just repeat what they're told instead of actually paying attention to what they're seeing.

    • Dick Smith have 5 in stock right now but they've jacked up the price to 750 so 15% off is hardly worth it…better off waiting.

  • +1

You can get plus for a month, there's no point in settling for 10% off

  • Wow, great price!

    • +7

      Yeah…but Kogan

      • -2

        Better than Jerry

        • +13

I mean I don't like Harvey Norman. But Kogan is on a whole other level of avoidance for me.

          • -3

@PainToad: Really, what's changed with Kogan?

I've only rarely bought from them.

        • +1

Come on mate, enough with the circle jerk.

  • I'm getting $637.5 at checkout.

Did they up the listing? Its $750 as a listing price

    • +1

Yep jacked from $728 -> $750 (before coupon).

  • +1

Yeah they've increased the listing price from $728 to $750, presumably the first 5 were at the lower price.

    • +1

Didnt they lose a lawsuit for doing that before..

  • +2

Wish kogan would have this price on their actual website since I have kogan credit I wanna use…

  • good price, not as good as the 30% cashback price but still.

    • Did anyone get that one honored?

      • +3

my order has been shipped and shows tracked cashback

  • waiting for 550

    • -4

I know a way you can get it for $0

    • Only 1 $500 deal so far, prob wont see another for another month

  • +2

It is ridiculous that they've jacked up the price to nearly the same price of the Mario Kart Bundle just because the coupon is available.

    • +1

That's because sellers share the discount with eBay as a promotion. eBay have offered me 15% off codes but I need to cover 12% of the coupon savings.

      • If that is the case, I guess it makes sense.
I just find it weird to offer it for a product that has been selling well. Or is it like, for all products on your store?

  • +1

    Kogan. no thanks.

    • +3

Kogan is fine, as long as you are not buying anything "kogan" branded. They are official Nintendo partner In Australia.

  • Damn thought it was with Mario, by itself its not the best

  • -1

Switch games look shit on the switch 2, they haven't fixed the upscaling from 720p to 1080p, all devs need to patch this so many games have fuzzy text and UI elements.
And joy con 2's already having drift issues lol.

Going to wait for a new revision even if it means future jailbreaking won't be possible.

    • Always buy version 1 of the console for higher chance of jailbreak and hacks. This cannot be underestimated even same for iPhones earlier version with Cydia hacks were far better

Consider this in the price not the raw price on the console itself

  • If you only want console sure but if you want game which usually costs more than $100 RRP the previous ebgames bundle is better
