    From email

We have managed to get some further stock from suppliers across Australia for some of the titles and are currently getting them shipped to our stores to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. The titles we can definitely supply are as follows:

    · NDS Pokemon Black
    · NDS Pokemon White
    · NDS Pokemon Black Version 2
    · NDS Pokemon White Version 2
    · 3DS Nintendo dogs & Cats: Golden Retriever
    · 3DS Nintendo dogs & Cats: French Bulldog
    · 3DS Dead or Alive Dimensions
    · 3DS Resident Evil Revelations
    · 3DS Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gate to Infinity
    · 3DS Lego City Undercover The Chase Begins

    Sweet!

Although Pokemon HG/SS were what I wanted the most. Oh well.

    • +2

Yay, I ordered none of these. Oh well good for those that did.

      • Same none of the games i ordered are in this list.

    • Not happy the ones i really wanted is not part of the list :(

    • Missed out on the soul silver, really wanted that one :(

      • Yeah, that was the game I wanted most. I regret selling my copy a couple of years back.

    • +1

You'd think they'd have plenty of Luigi Wii U at Nintendo

      • +2

True… Whilst I've been fairly happy with TGG's handling of this, I wouldn't be surprised if the cost price to get more Luigi Wii U in is too high for them to want to do it.

    • -1

Well at least I'm going to get 2/3 games I ordered.

      • +1

for a second I thought you wrote 23……

    • At least I getting 3/5 of the games I ordered. I couldn't order Pokemon black/white as it didn't allow me to add to the cart at time of purchase.

Was hoping to get at least one of the Pokemon HG/SS.

    • Looks like I've gotten lucky. Got the call yesterday saying my copy of Luigi U was going out. My second order was Pokemon Black and Black 2 which are both above, so looks like I'll get all three games.

Hopefully they manage to source more stock for everyone else.

    • Why are they only trying to source Nintendo handheld games - what aren't there any Xbox, PS3 or Vita games in safe territory? Any clues Carla? Cheers.

      • The distribution for every game listed in the email we received is handled directly by Nintendo Australia so it's likely they haven't heard back from other distributors yet.

I'm surprised that New Super Luigi U isn't on that list though considering that it's a fairly recent game and I find it hard to believe that Nintendo Australia would have a shortage of stock on one of it's flagship games.

      • Hi fookos,

My understanding is that we are trying to get everything we can.
This is a list of titles we have definitely been able to source.
Doesn't mean we have stopped trying to get others!

        • +1

Hey Carla, please let your team know to try to get the pokemon soul silver on ds please!! :)

        • +2

          Hi watty,

          ok - message sent.

          Carla DV

    • +1

      So I'm definitely getting Pokemon B2 & W2…hopefully the other 3 I ordered (Pokemon HG, Pokemon SS & KI:U) are still available…

    • Hi rep,
The list above means nothing to me unless you accept my offer i.e. I walk into one of the stores and grab 20 games and leave you a list of 9 games that I definitely can pay for but the other 11 you have to wait for me to earn some more money from my employer otherwise i will return the games to the store in a week or 2.

  • I'm also getting at least 3/5 I also had uncharted vita and heartgold but I guess I won't be getting those unless i get lucky

  • +8

    Hi Carla,

If TGG isn't able to source the items I purchased can I source them myself and send the invoice to Head Office?

    • +5

they could get the games but don't want to wear the cost.

    • Hi Kamoi,

We need to find out which of your games we can supply, the team are working through the orders as fast as they can.

      Carla DV

      • -1

        Hi Carla,

Based on your response it seems you have either misunderstood my question or are simply trying to avoid answering it.

Could you please read it again?

By accepting payment TGG entered into a legal agreement to supply the goods. I don't think it's unreasonable for us to expect them to deliver on that if stock can be sourced.

        • Hi kamoi - I understand your question.

We are doing everything we can to source titles for customers.
If we are not able to fulfill your order you should discuss your request with the Customer Care Team when they call.

          Carla DV

        • +3

Fingers crossed that I get to speak to someone who actually knows something.

The person who called yesterday was only "calling on behalf of TGG" and told me I should get in touch with TGG if I wanted more information.

He also said that I would have to accept a refund if it was offered. Apparently I don't have any say about it and can't refuse it.

It's probably not a good idea to instruct the call centre staff to mislead the customer in this way. The customer is well within his/her rights to refuse a refund and pursue the matter through the ACCC.

  • Hmmm, my 3 Xbox games have been "allocated to a store for processing" (Robina QLD and I am in NSW) so hopefully that means I will still receive mine.

I'm hoping I am safe since I ordered at 9.30am and there should still have been stock available at that time.

    • +13

      you're so hopeful it's cute.

  • +1

I was given a call telling me that they wont have luigi U for me and that i had to accept a refund and gift card and that i could not wait for the game regardless of my willingness to wait for it as long as it takes and apprently, they are not willing to do anything else. Can rep advise me what to do because the game is fairly new and gotta still be available on the market, i ordered around 9am?

As someone else mentioned, they are just like news delivery, without any capability to access any other information like cut off time or how many copies they have or why others ordered after me are still able to receive the game.

    • Hi shinichiduy,

a few people have mentioned this title so I am trying to find out a bit more about it.
If I find out anything I will pop back here and let you know.

      Carla DV

      • Thanks a lot for your help

  • +5

    Whatever outcome, whatever happens.

Im just glad a rep showed up in good faith and supplied some information to the OzB community.

    A. Offering some information on how things are going
    B. Offering the fact that they are trying to source and have secured more stock
    C. … most important, I wasnt called a professional for making a simple order

Just from these facts alone and what i've seen from the last few days, i'd rather shell out more dollars to TGG than to Hardly Normal

Maybe just imo, but all this from Carla on a Sat/Sun speaks volumes to me

    • +1

Agreed, especially on a weekend and up to 10pm on a Saturday night!

      • +7

Anyone would think they were worried about angry users reporting them to the Accc and fair trading?

No? OK you believe they just rolled up out of thin air because they care, good for you

        • +1

I didn't say they don't have a self-interest… it's still nice to have some communication about the whole thing though /shrug

    • +1

I appreciate the attention to details from goodguys for putting the rep up and her effort in doing this thing and that she gas done her best within her knowledge. However, her limited knowledge cannot result in satisfactory respond that woulf normally be expected from a rep. Almost anything i want to know, the reply is either waiting for call from another guys who can only tell you what happened but cannot do anything else or calling the number that only tells you the same thing as the rep here. It is not very helpful

  • Hi Carla/Rep, could you please confirm a few things for me?

I received order confirmation followed by the PayPal receipt. Shortly after, I received an email saying that my order had been allocated to a store for processing and later in the day I got another email saying that my order has been dispatched.

Since my order displays "dispatched" does that mean it's fine and I just have to wait for it to arrive? I also can't seem to find any way to track my order, is this because I checked out as a guest? I never received a call either - is this normal?

    Thanks!

    • Means it had been sent. So you should get it soon.

    • Hi Greenius,

An email stating dispatched is good news - this means your products are on their way.

I highly recommend registering as a user the next time you make a purchase - so you can track your order and have the ease of the system remembering your details etc.

It's usual for us to call to confirm an order - but as mentioned on this thread, we were pretty slammed that day - so apologies if your confirmation call was missed and I'll pass the feedback on for you.

Hope you enjoy playing the games you purchased!

      Carla DV

  • +1

got the email too, looks like only 1 game will be supplied. imo, some stores still have games.

my local store for example, when i asked for games, they showed me a cabinet where they let me choose what games i want to buy.

problem is they scanned at higher prices already.

to rep, is there anyway i can get the games on my order from my local store?

i just dont understand why they will allocate my games in a store 1500 away from me, when theres already a store that has some of the games i ordered….

    • Hi Farrba,

Your order may have contained multiple titles that needed to be sourced from several stores - which would account for the order being allocated to a store that is not your local.

All stores have been requested to store their titles so we can dispatch them to orders - so games you saw should be assigned to customers already, hence should not be available for purchase.

      Carla DV

  • +1

But just a reminder to everyone watching this thread - that this was a Clearance Sale for a limited time only.

How convenient.. and yet still accepting orders and cashing in thousands of dollars from our innocent members expecting to receive the games within the stated time to no avail..

    • Hi kahengstudio,

Thanks for your feedback - we expect to be fulfilling 1000's of orders in the coming week.

      Carla DV

  • +10

List of issues Ive noticed thus far:

    1. On the first day I was told to email [email protected]. I did that and never received a response.

    2. The next day I called my allocated store, Robina, and they said they received way too many orders for the limited stock they have. The manager told me that no matter what, she would call me that afternoon with an update. She never called.

    3. When Carla came on here, she suggested that people contact [email protected]. I did and never received a response.

    4. I was told my order would not be fulfilled as the games I needed were not in stock at Robina and to expect a refund, despite other users noting that one of the games I'm waiting for is still on sale at other stores.

    5. Initially it seemed that anyone who ordered 3 or more games ($32 order and higher) were offered a $40 gift card, and that it has since been reduced to $20 across the board.

    6. Some customers who ordered later than others having their order fulfilled simply due to being allocated a store who could fulfil the order, i.e. luck of the draw.

    7. Stores not removing the stock the day prior. Honest people who decided not to drive around to multiple stores buying multiple copies of stock now not having their order fulfilled, because they were told they would definitely receive their items.

    8. The fact that it took until now to send a mass email to everyone notifying them of the situation. All of the people who don't check these threads would still be under the impression that their games would be arriving any day.

Plus the many other complaints already made by other users.

    • +1

When I was on the phone the first time I asked if parts of my order could be handled by other stores that have stock, even if extra shipping is supplied. I got a definitive no which annoys me. However another definitive no has also been proven wrong just hours after by the same person on the phone.

    • Hi steveau,

On point 3 - My team and I man the assist email address, so I can personally tell you that we have responded to every email that we have received from Ozbargains members.

Can you please try resending and I will attend to it personally.

With reference to the rest of your points - I am sending your feedback through to our management team as you raise some good points - particularly with respect to not being able to respond to everyone as quickly as we would have liked.

      Carla DV

      • Thanks Carla I'll resend soon.

  • +17

Well i just called my local store and was told i could order the New Super Luigi U but it would cost me $45 and asked about a few others which they could get but id have to pay full cost seems to me The Good Guys are lying about being able to source more stock instead of fulfilling all these orders.Once money has changed hands you have to honor that purchase even at your own cost.

    • +4

      Wow, that's bad.

    • +2

Doesnt that contradict the accc laws

    • -1

      where is your local store?

    • +4

      Hi x-ray

Would you mind telling me which store this was? We'd like to investigate.

      Carla DV

      • +10

Unfortunately i do mind with the information i have collected so far on this whole matter i will be contacting the ACCC first thing Monday morning.

        • +4

          Lol get it done mate

        • Hi x-ray,

Fair enough. Would like to make sure these games get to people who ordered them though - so we'll be in touch with all stores in Adelaide to make sure they are following procedures. Thanks for the heads up.

          Carla DV

        • +5

Well id suggest buying more stock at your cost and fulfill people's orders instead of trying to buy people off with a gift card.

        • Agree. That is a few hundred thousand dollars ads to pay to fix the reputation not to mention might involve ACCC investigation.

        • +6

I'd love to see you make a mistake in business one day xray. GG giving gift cards is far better than DSE & other store screwups. Yeah go contact ACCC..with their budget good luck at them looking at your submission. At least GG is responding to you

        • +7

I would really like someone to go to ACCC so everyone will know who's right. This repeated threat of ACCC is like blackmailing and is getting old. Just do it.

    • Wow, so they have stock but they don't want to sell it at the advertised price. Not only that I have received misleading an deceptive information but it also indicates their intention to not willing to sell at $10 although accepting payment

  • +2

Got my order really quickly (poke black 2)!! :D

  • Hi Carla, Just thought i'd ask a quick question if you are able to clarify a bit.

I ordered about 10am on the tuesday, had a call from the toowoomba store to confirm address unit number( as i forgot to put one on the order). By midday i had gotten a dispatch email saying it's on the way. I had assumed it was on the way but was going to ring the store on Monday anyway. It was only pokemon black 2 so it looks like i will be getting it at some point. Will i still be getting an call as well?

    Thanks

    • Hi happychild100,

If your full order has been dispatched I do not believe you will be contacted by the Customer Care Team.

We've been able to fulfill many, many orders already - so it's really great to hear of a happy story here :)

      Carla DV

      • Alright, I'm just in Brisbane CBD so thought it would be here by now since the store isn't too far away. I'll keep waiting then thanks.

        • +1

Try calling the store and asking them for the tracking number which they should have if it's been dispatched. I called Friday and the lady on the phone was very helpful.

  • +5

    I want my games.

I spend way too much time shopping and researching prices online. I was rapt to get a hold of a bunch of great titles that i could enjoy without hurting the bank balance. Price wasn't the only factor, oh wait - yes it was, but the Good Guys knew that when they advertised $40-$70 game titles for only 10 bucks.

Meanwhile, having being hammered since that morning for orders of those ridiculously cheap $10 games, the Good Guys website kept advertising late into that afternoon. All day on the GG site games were in stock, orders and payments were taken (albeit at an agonizing and frustrating crawl). Why?

    • +2

      Hi eBayz,

I'm sorry - I don't have a answer that will make you happy at the moment, as I don't have accurate information about what time stocks were exhausted or timings on the web sale etc.

What I do know is - we want you to have your games too.
And people, like me, are working around the clock to make it happen. Our focus right now is on fulfilling orders and I believe we will be sending out 1000's of games in the coming week. My fingers are crossed for you that yours are in those deliveries.

Apologies also for missing this post earlier - thanks for letting me know.

      Carla DV

      • +2

        Hi Carla,

I, as most other OzB'rs, understand that you and many other staff at GG have been thrown under the proverbial bus, putting up with alot of grief, and working your tail feathers off to try to find resolutions to this major feck up.

So the question is why did the feck up happen, are we not owed an explanation?

Will this happen in the future, and can we trust Good Guys with our money, personal information and credit card details?

        • +5

          Hi eBayz,

I have no answer for you - but on a personal note, I've never worked for a company that went to such extreme lengths to try to sort out a problem like this before.

Now, I know that's no consolation for those who are still waiting for answers - and most people here will be super-busy casting negative votes at me, but I can only share what I know from seeing what is going on behind the scenes.

No business wants this to happen. This has cast a shadow over what was an amazing sale - with many, many happy customers. So yes - we will be taking learnings from this event to make sure the next time we offer such a blockbuster deal, like our Knock-out Sale on Boxing Day, we will be prepared.

I have asked for clarity around what happened - and if I get any info I will share it.

          Carla DV

        • Maybe GG should go to extreme lengths instead to have a website that has accurate stock levels, and dispatch on a first come first served basis, not the adhoc mess they've currently created. Phone call to every "customer"? Seemingly empty promises to buy time.

It's all to save face with thousands of internet-savvy, pissed off customers. A combination that any company should be worried about.

  • +5

What‘s gonna happened if I don't receive a call or I miss it?

    • Good question, I have an exam tomorrow and no access to my phone for a few hours :/

      • Hi Carolinehaf,

If you miss your call try calling the Customer care Team on Tuesday - 1300 466 348.
I have passed on all your emails.

        Good luck for your exam!

        Carla DV

    • Hi isle0415,

The team will try several times to contact you. But if you miss your call or haven't received one by Tuesday you can call the Customer Care Team on 1300 466 348.

      Carla DV

    • +5

This is why they should have an email contact option.

But repeated requests of contact via email has been rejected so far.

"Phone calls are better etc etc, The Customer Care Team will be able to assist etc etc"

I suspect they are trying to minimize paper trail, not to mention the people whom have been contacted are forced to accept a refund.

I'm going to wait for 3 more days to give TGG adequate time to provide an acceptable remedy, after this I will be contacting the ACCC.

Interested parties may contact me via the OzB PM system. I believe that once the ACCC is brought to attention to how widespread this breach is, they will take action.

  • GODDAMMIT.

I just checked on the status of my delivery and realised that my unit number was relegated to "Address line 2" field and therefore not included with the information sent to the courier. Hence the courier company is now reporting that the parcel is misdelivered with incorrect address, and being RETURNED TO SENDER.

CARLA: please make a note to TGG's Webmaster that after the whole stock allocation business, this is probably the next biggest bug that needs to be fixed.

    • Hi zzyss,

Thanks for the feedback - it's been forwarded to webteam.

Happy to hear you're getting games - poop it's being returned to sender, have you contacted webmaster to get the address fixed? I'm happy to help.

      Carla DV

      • Thanks. I've submitted requests with both the courier and TGG website. Fingers crossed things work out.

      • Hi Carla,

Can you reply to my post, please? Thanks.

        • Hi eBayz - will look for it now …

          Carla DV

      • +1

Alright, just reporting back with some good news. I got directly in touch with Couriers Please, which is the service that Temando were using, and requested a redelivery. They seemed not to have a problem with that, so hopefully that means I'll have my stuff soon despite the stuff up.

  • +1

I was told that if you quote your invoice number in the near future they will honour the goods at the sold price.
So if you get a refund and then next month they decide to have Wii U Luigi or whatever game you ordered online then you can get it at the sale price. Better than nothing.

    • Do you have that in writing?

      • "If you ordered a game that we were unable to supply and then see it available please contact us.

        Carla DV"

        • +2

That does not mean you can get it at the sale price. Look up the previous quotes where T&Cs of no rainchecks being mentioned.

    • If true please confirm carla

      • Hi Heizenberg,

This isn't the information I have.
We are working to fulfill as many orders as possible - this week.

        Carla DV

      • And then I'll bet they tell you something different on the phone.

    • But clearance doesn't mean that they won't carry them anymore?

      • +11

God forbid they should stock these games ever again into eternity, because the millisecond they do, the wrath of a thousand OzBargainers shall rain down upon them.

  • +1

Rep any word on my Pokémon X question? You said you were looking into it.

Still advertised on your site. Apparently my local store has it in stock also.

    Should not be back-ordered.

    • Hi chichi,

No word yet. But I've flagged your feedback and request for the game.

      Carla DV

      • Thanks. I'm assuming that it will be supplied since it is still on your website. And according to your website my local store has it also.

I had other games in my order but this and the Pokémon White 2 are the most important. All I need to know is if they will be supplied.

      • +1

No phone call yet from your people and I am still waiting to hear why my Pokémon X is still on back-order.

        Any word?

  • In response to "If you stock this item in the near future will you honour the sale" I was told on the phone yes and by Carla :"If you ordered a game that we were unable to supply and then see it available please contact us.

    Carla DV"

    • On the phone doesn't mean a thing. Unless you have a record.

      • there are plenty of free phone recording apps for both android and ios, if anyone wants to collect evidence.

        • Yes but the legality of this is questionable.

        • I'm fairly sure that one is not allowed to record a phone conversation without explicitly telling the other party beforehand, otherwise it's all good.

    • Hi lukeloop,

Our first priority is to fulfill all the orders that we can. I have no confirmation that we will be doing any rain-check like scenarios. My answer was in response to your concerns about us stocking titles that we have been unable to fulfill.

I believe that if we have even the slightest hope of getting a particular title in that you wanted you will be offered an eta to wait, or refund if you prefer, by the Customer Care Team.

Just to reassure everyone - our aim at the moment is to fulfill as many orders as possible - so please be patient while we work through all the orders.

Best case scenario is that you get all your games lukeloop - that's our aim.

      Carla DV
